Guest Reviews
- KATHY (6/5): - Parking was safe.the room was ok needed more pillows in the room.the staff was nice.it is close to casino. All for everything it was ok
- John (8/5): - Clean room and beds were comfortable!
- Tammy (8/5): - The room and staff we're great! Great location to get to SPAC and the Casino....
- Susan (8/5): Nice place - Place was to stay for a quick night.
- Brad (8/5): - Will be staying again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No tissues in the room.
Also, was told at check in that there would be coffee in the office in the morning-- 7:40 AM NOT.
The motel doesn't allow smoking in the rooms, so they have chairs and ashtrays outside the doors. Had to walk through lots of cigarette stink to get to our room.
- Laurie (8/5): - The room was a bit dated, but clean. The gentleman at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating. When we were waiting for our Uber, and I had asked for an ice bucket, but was concerned that I didn't have enough time, he offered to fill it and put in the refrigerator in our room. The pool was closed, but we weren't concerned about using it. The location is close to SPAC and walkable if you're in decent shape. My companion wasn't interested in walking.
- Ken (6/5): - Nice basic hotel. No frills but serves a point if you just need a bed and a hot shower
- Joseph (10/5): - Customer service is excellent!
- Heather (10/5): - For a MOtel the beds were comfortable and I could walk on the floors without shoes. Check in was fast and friendly.
- Allison (10/5): - Very convenient stay close to a concert I was attending at SPAC.
- William (10/5): - Excellent service.
- Ward (8/5): A Day at the Races - I went up to go to the horse races at Saratoga. If you are looking for convenient less expensive stay ($13 Uber into town) parking for races is almost equivalent to R/T Uber. So you can go out to dinner, have some drinks and Uber back. It is a nice roadside motel reminds me of a '60's motel, that gets costly during race season.
- SCOTT (10/5): - The motel was perfect for our one night after the races at Saratoga
- Christina M (10/5): No frills but extremely clean and friendly - Great stay. Staff was extremely pleasant and personable. Room is no frills but I didn’t expect it to be. Room and bathroom very clean. Quiet area also. Highly recommend.
- douglas (10/5): - Very friendly and knowledgeable, very close to the SPAC music venue and a dip in the pool was very nice.
- Thomas (8/5): Nice stay! - This hotel fits the bill when going to the racetrack. The room is no frills and just a place to sleep. It is comfortable and affordable.
- JOyce (10/5): - Nice place
- Julie (8/5): Comfortable - We felt the rooms comfortable and convenient, needing a little freshening up, new comforters.
- Robert (10/5): - The property was reasonably priced with our room being clean and in good shape. An easy and friendly check-in.
- Linda (8/5): - I don't use motels because of safety concerns but I was in a pinch. I was pleasantly surprised at how safe I felt. The room was also extremely clean which was great.
The motel was bare bones in terms of amenities, i.e. no coffee pot. but I could live with that for a couple of nights.
The staff was very friendly and available 24 hours.
- Brooke (4/5): - Good location. Gross hotel. Not worth the $343 I paid.
- Hector (2/5): - Costumer service bad
- Marcin (2/5): - Heat was not working properly very cold in the room...toilet was not flushing....dirty walls in the room
- Anthony (2/5): - The owner was nice the rooms were clean and kept up but the other rentals were loud and unruly all night no sleep
- Amy (2/5): - The shower did not work early in the morning - it ran out of water after about 30 seconds. Phone did not work. Family next to us experienced the same thing. We had to leave very early - by 6:30am to make it to the regatta so there was no time to try to flag down someone. We had to drop our key off and bolt. When I called to discuss this, the person at the front desk was very rude and dismissive. He kept trying to tell us we didn't know how to work the shower . . . but my son had used it the previous night so it wasn't user error - it had something to do with the availability of hot water in the am. The motel was very clean which was good - but I would not stay there again because of the way the person at the front desk spoke to us. I had only wanted to express our concern and seek a partial reduction - since utilities and services should not be down when you stay at a hotel/motel.
- Pat and Brenda (2/5): - nothing to like, no pride of ownership
- Paul (6/5): - Wish they had a coffeemaker in the room
- Mike (8/5): - Friendly and helpful service.
- Marcos (10/5): - Nice friendly staff
- Susan (10/5): - Great property for overnight stay. Front desk staff very friendly.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Everything was perfect
- ALFRED (10/5): - ALFRED BRACY say the place was great! Thank you!
- Leslie (8/5): - This was a great place to stay for an overnight after a concert at SPAC. It was convenient and easy. Polite check in. Not a luxury stay and very minimal and a little old. But it was also affordable in an area where everything else was pretty pricy. Beds were comfortable enough.
- kyha (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Sharon (10/5): - The room was very clean and the person who checked us in was wonderful!!! I would definitely stay here again!
- Stephen (10/5): - Clean and comfortable 5 minute drive to everything in SS
- Verified traveler (2/5): Refused access to service dog. - Refused to let my daughter’s service dog stay in the room we had booked, claiming we needed to tell them in advance we had a service dog. The dog was vested, and I even offered to show them a Letter of Medical Necessity. (Neither of these is required, by the way, but I was a bit desperate.) Seemed like very nice people, and the motel was very convenient to SPAC, but we could not convince them of the laws concerning service animals.
- Gregory (10/5): - Perfect room to sleep in, great location. BBQ next door was really good!
- Carl (6/5): - It's a bit dated but very clean
- Glenn (8/5): - Very basic room. Good size. Nothing fancy but room was very clean with no weird smells or anything. Bed was comfortable. Decent cable channels available. The pool was surprising very nice with clean, clear water. For the money it was a great deal.
- Daniel (8/5): - Would of liked a bigger ice bucket and one ice machine located on outside of office instead of inside office. A square table at the end of bed against wall with two chairs one on each end would fit nicely and can be used more efficiently then round table that is placed between bed and window that can’t be exited without climbing on bed to get out of area. Suggestion above would be much much better and it would be very usable then cause set up the way be window is not really useable table round takes up a lot of the space so it not comfortable for it to be used correctly to make it enjoyable ty.
- Don (10/5): - what i did`nt like nothing was that walkable. other than that no complaints
- John (10/5): - Very friendly and accommodating
- Marian (8/5): - Loved the location and staff. Beds are not comfortable as I would like.
- John (8/5): Good place to stay near Saratoga Springs area - All in all it was a good place to stay. It is an older motel , but has been pretty well kept up. We were going to a SPAC concert and it was very easy to get to and from the venue. There is a pool that looks clean and well taken care of. There was a very good BBQ restaurant within walking distance. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. It is close to a busy roadway and you can hear the traffic, but I plan on staying on staying there again in the near future.
- Deborah (10/5): - Its an Older Motel!… but for the price it was Great-place to stay for One night! thhe Manger wad fantastic….. so helpful 😎👍
- Robert (10/5): - For the value conscious shopper , this was a great place to stay . Clean, A/C was cold, Very nice owners , Pool , and very close to town and the the track. Would definitely stay there again .
- Kristine (8/5): - 4 stars because air conditioner fan would go on and off all night. Would have liked a better freeze. Not a big deal but it influenced me. Very nice people run it.
- Rory (2/5): Horrible - There was people arrested in the next room at 3am. Couldn't sleep between the police and banging of the fight that happened
- Stephen (10/5): - All good
- Eric (6/5): - Old and tired and dated, but not at all unclean
This hotel was a bit expensive for the offerings they had. It would be a much better value if they we’re up to par with simple details like less scratchy towels, better quality, toiletries, higher quality pillows, and a bit of attention to detail to the furnishings.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Concert over night - Basic motel close to SPAC - clean except towels smelled horrible and were old and gross- bring your own towels.
- Roy (8/5): - A very good budget choice. Safe clean friendly no frills.
- Mark (10/5): Clean and convenient - Conveniently located a short drive to Saratoga Race Course. Very clean, not too fancy, comfortable beds and good tv, etc.
- robert (8/5): - Everything was ok but needs new pillows. They were like 2 flat pancakes. But other than that its ok
- Samuel (2/5): - Property was infested with roaches and the hospitality was egregious. Wouldn’t desire my worse enemy lodging here. Additionally, the marketing for the property is misleading, per advertisements, it promoted a pool and a clean room which the motel severely lacked in both areas. The receptionist might have been the nastiest person I have ever encountered, I envy those that have not met this man. Worse experience of my life.
- Guy (4/5): - No hot water. Lukewarm.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Great for the price. Clean and quiet and friendly staff. If you are a freakishly light sleeper like me be aware that the heat is hot water radiators. They aren’t loud, but they do make sound. On the other hand, never heard any other guests, which is unusual even in fancy hotels
- mark (10/5): - This was a great place to stay considering the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I like the location, the manager very polite.
- Judith (10/5): - Ken in the office was very polite and informative. Thank you
Will be staying there again
Judy
- Ruth (10/5): - Excellent location for attending the Dance Flurry Festival. I appreciated the fridge, microwave, and table and chairs. If you want fluffy towels and fancier fixtures, go stay at the Hilton for three times the price!
- Sergio (10/5): - Good
- Michael (6/5): - Property was clean and staff member was courteous.
I chose inexpensive and that’s what I got.
Rooms were quiet, an older property.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Definitely needs to be upgraded! Heard scratching in the walls at night, beds were very hard, hot water was not very hot! Smelled like moth balls
- Frederic (8/5): - An older facility, but recently updated. Well maintained and clean.
- Olivia (10/5): - This place was very convenient and helpful. My friend locked herself out of one of the rooms and the staff was very quick and helpful with the situation.
- Dianna (10/5): - Check in was quick & professional
- Karen (8/5): - Good spot for price. Not much close by to walk to apart from bbq restaurant
Staff is good rooms clean
- karin (6/5): - Room was clean and smelled clean. For the price it worked.
- Jeff (8/5): - Would have liked coffee pot and tissues in room.
- Rosemary (10/5): - This place was nice clean and the owners were very friendly.
- Russell (8/5): - Room was large/ clean. Owner was very accomodating. Reasonable room rate.
- Colleen (2/5): - I really have nothing nice to say. I did call them regarding my issue and rather than, at the very least, offer me an apology, they were extremely argumentative.
I will not ever be staying there again, nor will I ever recommend.
- Paul (10/5): - management of hotel was friendly, accommodating, and will stay here again
- Wallace (10/5): - Price was great and nothing was found wrong
- valerie (4/5): - Sink didn't drain like it should so left toothpaste up near top due to build up of water. Shower curtain had mold ind creases of shower curtain. Tv didn't allow you to change Chanel and said it was not working.
Let staff know about issues when we left they appoligized and said they would take care of it. We didn't receive any compinsation any of the issues.
- Robert (10/5): - Clean room at reasonable price with excellent service. Close to downtown Saratoga.
- Vivian (2/5): Poor experience - Such a disappointment. The place is old and in need of updating and repair. As a result, it was hard to tell if the room was clean. Bedding and towels are very basic. Not good value for money.
- Diane (10/5): - This was your average mom and pop motel. It was clean, had all the amentities (tv, microwave, fridge, etc). It was very close to Saratoga Performing Arts Center and State Park. Would definately stay there again!
- Whitney (10/5): - Our room was clean, comfortable and in good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
- Donald C. (8/5): - Very convenient, close to the highway. Area restaurants nearby..Owner very accomodating when we decided to stay a second time.
Hot water slow, heat slow.
- Jim (8/5): - The room was ok. The beds were comfortable and the room arreared clean. However, the toilet did not function well...it worked if you held down the handle for it to fully flush. Also the refrigerator freezer did not keep things frozen.
- Karen (10/5): - It’s quiet, comfortable, and relaxing
- Antonio (2/5): - No security it was my worst experience and i had to checkted out one day earlier and lost my money and they would not refunded. Very bad place with no security. People hanging outside your room until 3am talkimg and drunk . And the worst of all it was cold and the heat did not work.
- Mary Jo (2/5): Not worth staying at - This motel was awful and not worth the cost of 111.00 a night. The place was not very clean and I had to listen to the next room people going at at 2 in the morning. I would not recommend this place.
- Ashley (10/5): - The room was very clean. It was a five minute drive to the concert venue. Would definitely stay again
- Roxanne (4/5): - Towels & bed linens were poor quality . Very rough on the skin . The bedspread gave me rashes on my skin . The hotel was on a highway .
The vending machine for drinks was broken. Absolute bare minimum . Just a Place to stay & sleep .
- William (8/5): - We stayed only one night and were only looking for a place to sleep at a reasonable price. the room was clean and the TV and AC worked properly. I would stay there again next year.
- Peter (8/5): Track goer - Great location. And the staff is nice, been coming for years to go to the teach. Never disappoints
- Jonathan (8/5): - Everything was immaculate with the property grounds, quiet sleeping. As well as nice an close to nearby attractions.
- John (6/5): - Air conditioner didnt cool room. Need scissors to open shampoo.
- Charles (4/5): - Worst towels I've ever experienced, VERY rough. A very basic motel overall.
- Gary (8/5): - Parking, friendly owner, clean and affordable. Coffee ready for the morning.
- Ward (8/5): Good hotel for the Races at Saratoga - After 25 years I wanted to go back to Saratoga and bet on the horses. Note; hotels be expensive during race season. There is nothing special about Top Hill, there is a BBQ restaurant next door (pulled pork is good). Also during race season Uber into town Compton Restaurant for breakfast, walk to the track, have dinner at one of 100 restaurants, Uber back to the Motel. The price of a R/T via Uber is about the same as parking for the races. So enjoy Ubering, walk, eat, drink and be merry. And better luck at the track than I had.
- Anne (10/5): - Top Hill Motel was a clean, quiet place to stay for a reasonable price.
- Salvatore (8/5): - Overnight stay and the front desk woman was so nice I wonder if shes single because I am
- Nancy (10/5): - Clean room, comfortable bed, close to SPAC.
- frederick (10/5): - The front desk person was very friendly and charismatic. Beds made daily and the renovations since the last time i stay there were drastically improved.
