- Verified traveler (10/5): - My husband and I felt so welcomed while staying at The Inn. The service was incredible. The grounds were well manicured and the restaurant was so good. My husband and I are spoiled with fantastic restaurants in the city we live in, so we weren’t sure what to expect in a small town. Well, the executive chef prepared our food to perfection. We were so happy with our experience the first night, that we canceled our other reservations the 2nd night and came back to eat at the restaurant. Shout out to Wednesday, Greg and Lauren (? I think her name is). Our massages were sooooo relaxing. Hannah and Nikki listened to our requests at the spa. The main spa director was also so nice & did a great job on my facial. Matt at the pool was friendly and worked the pool area making sure all guests were taken care of properly. While my husband and I walked the grounds on our 2nd night, we met Lynn, who was cleaning up after a rehearsal dinner. She stopped and took the time to speak with us and ask about our stay and raved about how wonderful it is to work at The Inn. A happy staff makes the overall experience that much more wonderful for the guests. And of course, we can’t forget Ray, the front desk lady with brown hair pulled back, and the 2 amazing women at the restaurant’s hostess stand. I wish I wasn’t so focused on my eye allergies while I spoke to these women to forget their names. Anyway, if you want the most relaxing experience with top notch staff, please visit!

Perhaps based on the pandemic and opening it may have had some implications. Spa was amazing and Nicci gave a facial that was exceptional plus. Best I ever had. Ask for her. She gives massages too. We stayed in cottage #10 and you could hear the traffic. Wouldn’t recommend the Newer cottages. Would rather try one of the other places on property. Spa and pool nice too very cozy... would recommend for a couples getaway.
- dale (10/5): Absolutely worth it! - We absolutely love this place. Out of the many trips we have taken, the Inn at Willow Grove is the only place we have come back to a second time. We stayed in the Tenant House Down and enjoyed our coffee on the covered porch every morning. The heated pool is gorgeous and makes a nice spot to spend the day. The restaurant on site never disappoints with fabulous food. The current world pandemic may have affected some of the service and typical goodies- nightly turn down, tea and a sweet treat, but all things considered, its a great place to indulge and unwind. Thanks to Kelsey, Michelle, John and the rest of the staff for a lovely weekend.
- Charles (10/5): Perfect Cottage Romantic Setting - Excellent Schoolhouse Cottage, clean, decorated, furnishings, upstairs king bed. On site restaurant filet mignon steak was awesome. Well kept grounds. Friendly staff.

It may be best to check with the place before as they had run out of pet friendly rooms which the site said they had but went out of their way to accommodate us. Had a lovely dinner outside with the dog attending as well.

I cannot recommend the Inn at Willow Grove enough for a luxury, intimate weekend in Wine Country VA.

Our room was very nice and new; the only downside of our room was a sink that did not drain well. Everything else worked well. Very friendly staff and great food at the Vintage restaurant.

The last day was clear and we enjoyed our morning coffee and beignets on the porch under a beautiful blue sky. My partner enjoyed the spa and we enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the beautiful, brick-walled, wooden-beamed ceiling at a well-appointed table. Service was excellent throughout our stay, especially butler-delivered coffee and beignets exactly at time requested. Looking forward to return in 2019.

- dale (10/5): Outstanding! - We absolutely loved this place! I read about it in Southern Living Magazine 5 years ago and have wanted to visit ever since. We were met with sparkling wine and an upgrade at check in. We were given the Master Suite and it was gorgeous. We loved the gas fireplace, marble bathroom with heated floors and private balcony. The massages at the spa were terrific. Our meals and drinks at on-site restaurant were great. The staff is warm and helpful and it is in the details that this place really shines. My favorite part was the tray of coffee and warm benigets sent up to our room each morning. The restaurant they recommend called Forked on Main is great for lunch. There are a few nice wineries nearby. We will be back for sure!

- Cheryl (10/5): Wonderful! - This historic inn welcomed us from the moment we saw it! We were greeted with sparkling wine and walked to our cottage by our butler. The room was outstanding! We enjoyed a cozy sitting area with gas fireplace, outside patio, beautiful, large bathroom complete with soaking tub and heated towel rack. The bed was GREAT! The bedding was superior and the bed was extra comfy! We enjoyed a couple's massage in the tiny spa and dined in the inn's beautiful restaurant. The service and food was top notch! We ordered breakfast in bed the following morning. We could have stayed forever!

The 18th century plantation house and surrounding cottages maintain their historic look while modern touches have been made on the interiors (bathrooms, bar, restaurant, etc.). The staff are extremely friendly & helpful where you will know most of them by first name basis by the time you leave. Most of the clientele are older (50 ) and dress extremely well (I actually felt underdressed in a polo and shorts) but are friendly and conversant. Overall I loved it and looking forward to returning soon!
