- Delicia (8/5): Was worth the money - Loved the view, the atmosphere was also very good The TV in our room's screen were snowy
- Chumasechumase (10/5): - Everything was good top notch to the staff
We really enjoyed
- Patrick (7/5): -
- Kholo (10/5): - The food was good. The view was heavenly No electricity most of the stay there. About two hours of electricity. But it's general issue in the area
- OGouws (3/5): Warning- Reviews and photos deceiving - Nothing, just the view that was ok. Firstly, stairs not lit up at night, photo included. Aircon did not cool down, only fan. It was really a hot day and night. Unit old and tired but tried to hide it with fresh coat of paint. Furniture and bed old, plastic chair in the room. Shower door does not close properly causing bathroom to flood. Light on balcony cannot switch off making the unit too light to sleep. The Booking rating of over 8 is very deceiving. Cannot believe that it correct. At breakfast an elderly man came into the restaurant, dressed very poorly. He started shouting and using foul language at the staff. It ended up with him on the phone to someone else, we suspect a supplier. The shouting and F word was used freely. Not a nice experience for anyone to witness. We learnt that it was the owner. I don't think an establishment like this should be on Booking. It was really not worth the money. The price we paid we expected a bit more.
No remote for tv, the braai facility very old and poor. Photo attached.

- Cebisa (10/5): Staying at Chapman Hotel - The stay was excellent, staff very friendly and good and the breakfast that was included in the accommodation was super nice. And they add extra bed as per my request with no added charge. And their rooms are so big and beautiful. They didn't change my bedding on second day, they just clean the room and it was dirty. The rooms have balcony nice but couldn't sit there the are no umbrella available as it was very hot.

2.Breakfast was fine, but the sausage wasn't great
Booking.com made a mess of my booking. I'm still not pleased at all with how Booking.com
messed up my booking. That was the low light of my stay at The Chapman Hotel.
- Danisile (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable
- Prinsloo (4/5): Disappointing -
- Nonkoliso (6/5): I like the place, it's close to the beach, Bayworld and boardwalk. - We left without having full breakfast. There was a big group of people and all the tables were occupied 😭 The only thing I didn't like is that we were so hungry and we had to leave and get breakfast somewhere else
- Hendrik (8/5): We had a nice stay - Location perfect. Parking close to the rooom Beds can be in beter shape
- Nomawethu (8/5): Very good -

- Liz (7/5): Have stayed here many times and will be back - View / location / breakfast Hotel needs a bit of TLC and a centre hand rail for us oldies to climb the steep stairs outside reception.
Breakfasts were good - had guest around for lunch - quality of food not up to scratch
- Aquila (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (10/5): Extremely friendly and helpful staff, pleasure to stay there. - The breakfast was good, exactly what we asked for. I would have like a room with more of a sea view I had room 17, perhaps next time another room. We met the owner and he is an exceptionally friendly man. Portia who assisted us is fantastic and friendly as well.
Well worth a visit and stay at this hotel. N/A
- Veronica (3/5): Less than you bargain for - They did allow us a late check out, which was super convenient Pictures online make the accommodation look a lot better than it actually is. Pool also looked huge but is tiny
We arrived in the rain...not their fault, but there is no under cover area so we had to firstly walk in the rain to the reception area which is not easily accessible and then in the rain upstairs and along open corridors, so we were soaked by the time we got to our room.
The aircon in our room did not work, so I called reception twice but no one answered. I did not want to walk through the rain again. We could not open windows, due to mosquitoes so the room was very hot and I battled to sleep. They advertise free wifi, which is available, but they don't tell you that it is not sufficient to stream Netflix.
We ordered croissants for breakfast and they had run out
- Paul (5/5): Good location, but needs a refresh - Good location. The hotel offers breakfast, however we chose not to eat at the restaurant., The room is in desperate need of a refresh. We didn’t even want to use the bathroom, with how dirty it felt. The beds sunk down in the middle. While there was an ocean view, the balcony was filthy with rubbish on it. Milk was provided in the room, but no tea or coffee.
- Emma (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mpiti (9/5): Superb -
- Kolosa (7/5): Good - It's very clean and the location is perfect, I enjoyed their Chapman's breakfast, the view was beautiful, irequested sea view and I got it. The beds ,my bed I was not happy with the quality of the bed it caved in when I sat or slept on it.

- Alan (6/5): It was pleasant - The view, the location and the breakfast was great There was no TV remote in the room. Once we received one from reception it sort of worked for a couple of minutes then did not work again. The shower head sprayed all over the place thus we ended up having a pretty wet bathroom floor. This was report to reception on check-out.

- Morné (5/5): Passable - Pool with a partly view of the beach. Nice restaurants within walking distance. Lots of parking, although uncovered & outside. It was February & extremely hot & stuffy in the room. No airconditioning (room 15) & 2 small windows can open only slightly. Sliding door have no safety gate, so cannot sleep with door open. Room had a fan, but during loadshedding, this cannot work. No light in bathroom during loadshedding. Mattress hard & uncomfortable. Diningroom area small & cramped full with tables & chairs.
