Вблизи много кафе и ресторанов со вкусной едой. Есть небольшой магазинчик за углом. Владельцы отеля - очень приветливы и учтивы, всегда откликаются, если возникают какие-то проблемы. Номер выглядит немного "уставшим". Хотелось бы более частную смену белья и уборку. Возможно, требуется реновация

L'hotel est à 50m de la plage et au centre de tous les commerces. Il est situé au bout d'une petite allee donnant sur la rue principale.La chambre spacieuse et la salle de bain étaient d'une propreté éclatante. Le lit king size était très confortable. La chambre bénéficiait d'un petit balcon. Des ampoules aux 2 lampes de chevet et tout aurait ete parfait...😆 Le prix de la chambre avec clim un peu élevé. Le petit dejeuner assez basique pour son prix. Enfin, la photo de la chambre ne correspondait pas à la chambre attribuée... moins jolie...!

• Maxime (6/5): A lot of additional payments - My friend and I were spending two nights at this location. Rani (friendly owner) arranged a taxi from the airport to our home stay. The family is super friendly. Rooms are clean and it’s super close to the beach which we really like! For two nights we payed €33, this price seemed fair to us for an accommodation in Asia, but... They charge more for additional stuff. For example fan wasn't working so we had to use the airco. They asked €8 per night for using it. We said we would only pay €5 for two nights Breakfast was €8 and dinner was €10. With taxi it was €98 (taxi was €17) This price is way too high. When we go out and eat somewhere on the streets (lunch/dinner) it’s always around €4/€5. The room was clean but, so if you don’t mind the high prices for food, then it’s ok. I guess ;)

Staying here every time I arrive to Lanka, and hope to do it again. Rani is more of a friend to me already than a hostess. Mixed banana-pineapple juice is a must-order thing.
• Peter (9/5): Much better than I expected with the loveliest hosts - We were pleasantly surprised by the whole place to be honest. We only needed a place to stay during the day as we had a flight just after midnight, so we picked a cheap hotel near the beach. The hotel itself looks very nice from outside and the rooms are well set out and kept very clean. Sadly we didn't get to sleep on the bed as it and the pillows provided were the most comfy in our whole trip round Sri Lanka. The hosts Rani and her husband are delightfully friendly people and just lovely and helpful. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend. We had an issue with aircon and hot water, but it had not been raised by the previous tenant of 8 days and when we realised and raised it with the owners it was too late to get a technician. One was arranged for the very next day.

They helped us with our next destination transportation and gave us some advices for our trip. They also prepared an early breakfast for us, so we were able to get our bus early too, to avoid the hot weather. The room was comfortable and spacious. We will definitely stay here again, at the end of out trip :)

We just loved to be guests here, enjoying the sweet hospitality and good food of Rani and Sarat. We will come back here after our round trip in Sri Lanka and we are looking forward to stay here again!

Comfortable bed, clean room, good shower and food. 1 minute walk from the beach where I enjoyed a swim in warm ocean water just a couple of hours after my long flight. Close to restaurants and shops but away from immediate street noise (though being a town you may wish to bring ear plugs as things may change from night to night). I arrived jet-lagged in Sri Lanka and Rani, who speaks excellent English, welcomed me with a lovely fresh juice. Very relaxing to stay with her and her husband who is also excellent cook. Rani helped me a lot with a travel challenge I had to deal with and they helped me buy an electrical adaptor at a shop almost next door. I would definitely like to stay with them again if I visit Negomobo again. All good

• Chalitha (3/5): Can't recommend for anyone. - Only plus thing is it's near to the beach. Location is good. 1. Water quality is not good even for bath. During day time heated water coming from every tap can't wash even hand. Too hot to use. 2. Room is not comfortable - mosquito available and room temperature is very high even we use fans 3. No universal power sockets in the room - facing difficulty with charging the phones. 4. Some mentioned facilities not available. Eg. Wifi, hairdryer.

Throughout our stay (3 nights) the owners were very helpful and welcoming. We had lovely breakfast, the room was clean and a comfortable bed. We are going back for a night more before we leave SL. Can highly recommend this place.

Helpful and accommodating owners, it was the biggest room we have stayed in, the AC worked great and the rooms where clean…..and cleaned again after a few days with fresh sheets etc. It was literally 1 minute walk to the beach! Would recommend!

They made us feel really welcome in Sri Lanka and gave us lots of useful tips. The room is big and comfy with the balcony and comfy bed with mosquito net. Breakfast is delicious and they can cook for you the best Sri Lankan curry 😍 We was worry at the beginning that there is no hot water but trust me - you will be glad about it cause Negombo is a hot place and cold shower is what you really need. The location is good, close to the shops, restaurant and the beach. When we back in Negombo we will definitely stay with Rani again!

We had great breakfast every day and lovely home cooked curry. The room was spacious, clean and we also had acces to balcony which was a plus. There is also a mosquito net around the bed which was a life saver.Cannot recommend enough.

The only thing I would improve is to put a mosquito net on the windows. My room didn't have it so I had to keep the window closed, and being the room very small, it was very hot even if there was a fan.

This hotel ticks all the following boxes: pleasant owners, free wifi, budget cost, lovely breakfast, reliable a/c, comfortable beds, hot shower and convenient location. We will be returning at the end of our trip in March and are looking forward to it!
• 298tessas (10/5): Best "mistake" ever! - I was coming to Negombo to go on a food tour with a group. I arrived a few days early. I thought I was booking the hotel where the tour started and found to my surprise I had booked the New Rani Inn by mistake. It turned out to be the next mistake ever. Rani was sooooo helpful. She arranged an excellent tuk tuk driver for some local tours plus a driver to take me to a national park 3 hours away. I am so grateful that I stayed at Rani.

They help you with organizing your trip and give you tips for exploring negombo. Also their curry is very delicious! The breakfast was okay. The rooms are big and clean. The rooms are really nice, big and they have a balcony, clean and nice bathroom (good shower!). Location is perfect. The beach and shops are near, bus stand is just in front of the street. The food is just excellent, the fresh fish is super jummy!! There is a good reason I came back twice, and will do it again when I go to Sri Lanka!

• Benu1322 (10/5): The best place to stay in Negombo - Just as Negombo is one of the best holiday places in whole Sri Lanka, New Rani Inn is the most pleasant lodging there. You don’t believe me? I’ve just returned from my fourth stay there, and this was not my last time. What makes this place so unique? – near to the beach, in the middle of all kinds of services and only 2 km distance to the city center – spacy and well equipped rooms, which outshine even many hotel accommodations – really nice owners and staff, who help in all cases – one of the best food places along the beach road. But – do you miss the pool, a sunbed, the beach aside? No problem! Rani Inn has a contract with the Golden Star Beach Hotel, about five-minute way by feet. So you can use these facilities for only 500 rupies/day/person (= 3,50 $). Benu / Finland
• AndrewR500 (4/5): They double booked our room despite paid reservation - We booked and fully paid via Expedia, and upon arrival were informed they had double booked and thus given away our room with no more availability. They said sorry but made no effort to help us find new lodging, which was a hassle considering we arrived at around 10pm. As far as the inn itself, the lobby looked to be under construction.
• L6619NFmartink (10/5): Top place, nice owners - Stayed there for two nights and had a pleasant stay. Owners are very welcoming, new luxury rooms are super clean and tidy. TV is not working, but thats not a problem, who needs it. Internet is kinda slow but owners try to do their best, including to move the hotspots! Will definitly come again!
• LynB777 (10/5): Wonderful visit - By the time our group left to go home, we felt like family. Rani and her family were just lovely and so very helpful. Her hubby is the best cook and he catered to our requests with no problems. The beds were comfy and the mosquito nets were appreciated as was the airconditioning! Western toilets and hot water showers were wonderful. The hotel is situated in a busy strip with easy access to the beach, shopping, transport and restaurants. The shop next door were willing to exchange currency on a purchase with good exchange rates. Although they don't have transport available, it was easy to organise each day. Totally recommended.

• Mich_El_Hfr (10/5): Friendly, helpful staff - The owner was very helpful in providing information with regard to what to do in Negombo. She was also very friendly and we could use her laptop to try and check in our flight for the next day. The room was clean and very comfortable and would recommend this place to anyone. On Lewis street which is filled with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants. Very good place to stay.
• HannaQatariina (2/5): Friendly service, terrible room - We stayed in this place on for one night and that was quite enpleasant experience. Staff was welcoming and very polite, but unfortunately the room was something out of words. I'm not even sure was it good for health staying there, smell of mould was all over the place. You could even see the mould in the shower walls. Sleeping was quite difficult, fan was just right up to bed and blowing the smell right to our faces. Breakfast costed 1400 rupies, wich we didn't take. It's too expensive for my opinion. Hope they fix things and get things back in shape.
