Guest Reviews
- Kerry (2/5): - It was a college dormitory
- Moira (4/5): - There were four of us so it was nice to have more than one room to sleep in. The beds were quite comfortable and the location of the apartments is good. The common area had basic utensils to cook so we didn’t have to eat out all the time. The carpets were sticky so we were wearing shoes all the time. The washroom was terrible. The shower was a small separate room with no place to hang a towel or put your products. The washroom mat was a piece of paper. The water pressure was the worst I have ever seen.
- Aimee (8/5): - We stayed here for 3 nights in summer with our 3 kids. It's very good value overall and I would stay here again. The rooms are in need of upgrades, mattresses are lumpy and there were no fans to help with the summer heat. The bathroom feels more like a hostel: very small and no where to put your toiletries. But it's clean, safe, spacious, and staff are friendly. Parking is tight. Laundry is €6 per load. No elevators - so request a ground floor unit if stairs are problematic. Location is fantastic if you're doing anything at UCC or city centre. A nice property to stay with kids because they can run around in the courtyard and have space to spread out in the unit.
- Gabrielle (10/5): - Lovely property , great location and free parking
- kate (8/5): - As expected slightly dated student accomodation.
Great for price, 3 bedroom apartment perfect location.
The only negative is the dated bathroom which I definitely in need of some TLC. Main areas of flat were clean but bathroom could have done with a deep clean.
Overall though excellent value and comfortable.
- yanire (6/5): - The bathrooms need a makeover! Feels very institutional. But its close to downtown and each one had their own room. There is a laundry and cafetería in the premises.
- Alessandra (10/5): - The location was excellent and walking distance from the beautiful English market, shops and restaurants.
Since it is a student accommodation I was prepared to a less confort, but our family stay was great. The place super clean and the person working at the registration desk was wonderful. Overall a great experience.
- Sonja (8/5): - It was a college dorm, on the 3rd floor. So not convenient. On a positive note we were all able to have our own room and full kitchen. It was very clean and quiet.
- Alessandro (8/5): - Spacious and clean
- Michael (6/5): Institutional feel - The apartment felt very institutional. Concrete walls, metal doors, sticky floors, beat up furniture and appliances, tv didn’t work (even if it did, the batteries from the remotes had been removed). No direction on how to get into the parking lot or really in how to check in. Beautiful campus nearby, but not much to do.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A basic dormitory style Residence located close to downtown Cork, about 15 minute walk.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect for the one night for a family. My brother and I did the cork City marathon and this apartment was perfect for us and our family. Cheap cheerful, we could cook our food which was important.
- Maureen (8/5): Dorm rooms - Different experience.but best nights sleep since arriving in Ireland. However, no hot water for my morning shower. I would stay here again but would be sure to check the hot water situation.
- Familytraveller (2/5): Enough space but terrible amenities - Didn’t realize this was student accommodation when booking, pictures online were quite deceptive- no pics of the shower and toilet which were not great to say the least. Floor was extremely dirty, could not walk barefoot in apartment - feet were black with dirt in a few minutes. Not the best.
- Eidin (6/5): Great location, basic but clean - In a great location within walking distance to city centre, on UCC campus. It is what it is, student accomodation, with layout geared very towards student living. The only real let down is the bathroom which is in a very tight space. There was a great smell of lynx lingering in our bedroom, kitchen was well appointed with everything you need, clean bed linen towels etc. Not a bad spot, we were 4 but could easily have fit 6. Lots of parking and buses just ouside main gate to city.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Good location, not as good as other university accomadation we have previously stayed in
- Shana (6/5): It works if you're on a budget. - The staff were very friendly, the rooms were definitely dormitories. It wasn't the fanciest, but you get what you pay for. If you are on a budget and aren't picky, this will work for you, but bring an extra pillow and don't walk around barefoot. There are some pretty mischievous children in the area as well. Blarney is a short drive away.
- Gerard (6/5): Mostly happy. - Mostly happy. Good 24 hour service and free shuttle bus to and from centre. Only negatives we can give: no sponge in the kitchen, one bedroom smelt musty and wifi made you login again every few hours with username and password. Overall reasonably happy. Oh, very nice walk along the river next door.
- Verified traveler (10/5): great apartment , very clean and spacious. - we had a great weekend , very clean and spacious apartment. great value for money. only issue we had was with the noise coming from the apartment behind us on saturday night. we wouldn't have minded as much only we had a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old trying to sleep after a long day and we had a long drive ahead of us sunday morning. the older children didnt mind the noise . thanks for a great stay
- travel family (2/5): College dorms, more like a hostel... - We broughtnour 4 kids here and ended up not staying and finding another hotel. It is not clear on the listing that these are college dorm rooms. The bathroom was terrible and the whole place was musty and stunk although clean looking. It would be ok if I were in my early 20's and with friends maybe, but nit family friendly. There were lots of young people in groups walking around so mught be fun if you're young but wasn't for us with kids.
- Pauline (10/5): recommended - just overnight but it was ideal for the 5 people who stayed (we had a 4 doublebedroomed apartment)
- jon (6/5): Ok budget room - This was ok for being a budget stay. We did not realize it was college campus apartments. Layout was interesting. Each room had separate key which was not ideal with young kids. The floor needed a good mopping and bathroom had a bit of a smell. Beds were comfortable. Service was great, they came right away when light in bathroom went out. Free wifi was amazing. For traveling on a budget this was a good location.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Below average hotel but has clean kitchen. - Functional but not the cleanest.
- Constantinos (8/5): Great value for your money - Considering the fact that the facilities are student dorms for most part of the year, I was pleasantly surprised with the condition of the rooms. Quite a low price at a convenient location.
- June (4/5): Typical dorm experience - The apartment was located on the campus of UCC which is what we wanted so we could walk around campus. It is far from downtown section but bus service was excellent. The apartment was disappointing as we did not have hot water for the two nights we stayed. We managed one luke warm shower one morning. The apartment was cold and we had to turn on the heat which did help. Several of the dishes in kitchen were not clean and the couches were not comfortable. As well, the stairways are metal so quite noisy when people coming in at night. The bedrooms were nice with double beds so quite spacious for our group
- Sharon (2/5): Don't stay here - This is a dormitory not a hotel. Overpriced and very poor quality bedding. Mattresses were disgusting and unclean with sheets that would not stay on the stained and overused mattress that folded like a taco shell when you sat on it. Double bed came with 1 pillow and a used comforter that some student must have had all year. When we asked for another pillow and bedding they took it from a bed in another dorm. No top sheets at all so you find yourself sleeping under a used colleges students bedding. We checked out after 1 night. A hostel would have been a better budget choice.
