Guest Reviews
- benmC5631AS (4/5): Detailed review-worth the read before booking. - Overview
We are a couple in our 20s who stayed at Valeria Dar Atlas for 10 nights in late march 2026. With the hotel being given 4 stars-we were disappointed on the whole and would like to provide a fair, detailed review for people considering a holiday here.
Accommodation
The accommodation is split in to groups of rooms in Rhiad buildings. Originally we were placed in a ground floor room, but asked to change due to the lack of privacy, and the lack of a balcony with being on the ground floor. The accommodation was fairly clean but dated, the lights in the room were very weak (once it was dark we had to use phone torches to pick our clothes at times.) Unfortunately, our room was shared with a colony of ants-who ended up (amongst other places) in my girlfriend’s makeup brushes, and my toothbrush. Bizarrely, the doors also didn’t fit the frames-meaning to shut them you had to put your full weight into it-and my girlfriend genuinely struggled-this was with both the toilet door & hotel room door (which the maid came in unannounced 3 times at 0930…).
Food
The food itself was fairly good, but lacked the variety you’d expect from a 4* all inclusive. My girlfriend & I are very open to trying new things, but if you happen to have a picky relative-this is NOT the place for them. Unfortunately on one evening I put some fish on my plate that was so undercooked it was raw in the middle, but I understand that accidents can happen. The main issue with the food aspect of the holiday was how busy the dining area was and the lack of organisation-the cleaning of tables was very slow, including it being difficult to find clean plates & it was rare that we could find a table that was empty & clear if you went down at any point after the doors for food opened. (even in March!).
Poolside/Day time
The pool was great & we enjoyed lounging around it for 7/10 days of our holiday, the outdoor bar staff were tentative & very friendly, as were the entertainment or ‘animation’ team (although they were quite pushy at times). There were just enough sun loungers if you were out early & the gardeners worked extremely hard to keep the place looking tidy!
Gym
If you’re hoping to use a gym, this hotel isn’t for you. The ‘gym’ consists of 2 (broken) treadmills, an elliptical machine & 2 static bikes. There are no weights, racks or even pull up bars here-which for many isn’t an issue, but was disappointing for us who enjoy the gym on holiday.
Entertainment
We’re not in the best place to comment about the entertainment on site, as we only stayed for 2 nights of it. The animation team seem to host all of the entertainment, and whilst they put a lot of effort into it, and I don’t want to tarnish them in any way, it is basic, and different to other hotels we’ve been to in the past where it has been a magician/singer etc each night.
Value for money
We payed around £1500 for the package holiday for 2 people (including flights and transfer) and wouldn’t recommend the 10 nights for this money, knowing what’s available for similar. The hotel itself is dated & it’s one of the lesser holidays we’ve been on.
Conclusion
Whilst the staff were mostly very friendly & obviously work very hard-there are flaws in this hotel that would mean we wouldn’t return & regrettably, we wouldn’t recommend to anyone else either, without knowing exactly what you’re getting.
- trenchy66cardiff (10/5): Amazing food and staff here. - This resort, whilst not the most modern in some aspects, has the most amazing staff who go the extra mile all the time. The entertainment staff are friendly and so welcoming.
The food is superb and the variety of dishes is good. The mini dessert cakes are fabulous and the Moroccan cuisine is so good. Fresh fruit, salads, Berber mint tea are also great.
Things that could be improved is a small tray with some mini toiletries and a kettle in each room. However this does not detract from the fabulous holiday that I had there.
- jolinam654 (10/5): The best pizza chef! It's the most delicious ever, and this is my first time having pizza this good. The taste is amazin - The best pizza chef! It's the most delicious ever, and this is my first time having pizza this good. The taste is amazing! Or maybe it's Valerie Dar Atlas. This chef is wonderful!
- moragw412 (10/5): A tranquil haven with amazing staff. Don't believe the moaners! - We stayed here for a girls' weekend and had a brilliant time. I honestly don't understand some of the negative reviews; the hotel is advertised accurately, and for the price, it’s excellent value. Some people seem to expect "the moon on a stick," but if you travel with realistic expectations, you’ll love it.
The Staff & Culture
A little research goes a long way. You are in Morocco, so learning a few basic words of Arabic or French is highly appreciated. I found the comments about staff being "unfriendly" or "lacking English" totally unfair. They work incredibly hard and weren't rude in the slightest. A massive shout-out to the Animation Team. They were all amazing, (including Sam & MoMo) full of banter, and worked so hard to keep everyone entertained. Activities were fun and clearly advertised in reception.
Food & Drink
The food was exactly what you’d expect from a good all-inclusive: tasty, plentiful, and plenty of variety. The drinks were readily available, and even in the evening, we only waited a few minutes at the bar. That was absolutely no hardship! Surprisingly, the wine was actually very nice, which isn't always the case at all-inclusives.
Facilities & Room
The Spa: We had a Hammam, and the service was excellent and very reasonably priced.
The Room: Clean, spacious, and adequate for what we needed. The bed was comfy, the balcony was a nice touch, and it was cleaned daily.
The Grounds: The hotel is a bit outside the city, but that’s a plus! It’s a tranquil haven away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. The grounds are lovely and well-maintained.
The Pool: Lovely and clean. We had no issues getting sunbeds, though it was slightly out of peak season.
Getting Around
Taxis are available right outside, or you can ask at reception. They also provide a shuttle bus into the city, so being "out of town" is not an issue at all.
Overall, it’s a welcoming, clean, and happy space. I’d go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Moroccan getaway.
- 369icc (2/5): Absolutely Disgraceful Hotel - Avoid Do Not Book - DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL
We booked this hotel as we needed 12 rooms, and they had rooms available.
Hotel is advertised as a 4 star and this needs to be a 2 star and remove the all-inclusive as they don’t provide an all-inclusive food service.
Hotel is very dirty and ant infestation.
Hotel swimming towels require a £10 deposit per towels, it goes missing after you leave it on your seat whilst swimming and its your duty to make sure you return it or you don’t get a refund.
The Hotel staff are racist towards people with non-white skin. They don’t like people from South Asian background. The staff are very rude and aggressive towards guest.
We had many incidents of staff refusing to give us water and if a white skin person asks for water they will be given water. If you don’t want us then don’t take our money and make it clear that we are not welcome.
Room
Basic room and not clean. We had the room for 10 days and used the same towels and bedsheets. We had a problem with the Ants on the 1st day and the hotel changed our room.
Bathroom door had no lock and no Muslim bottom wash considering it’s a Muslim country this should have been necessity. No Lock on door is fine for couples but if you have a family this is a problem with the children / teenagers . Shower facilities was unclean, and sinks was always blocked.
During our 10 days stay we did not have our bedsheets changed or new towels. It was disappointing. When we reported this to the hotel manager, and they said that was a problem with the supplier not being able to deliver.
Staff
Nothing positive to say as they don’t make you feel welcome. Staff wants tips for everything.
Food
Food is poor quality and runs out very quickly.
For Breakfast they have only 1 person on the egg stand for all the hotel guests, you have to wait a long time if you want eggs. Also, on the waffle / pancake stand you have one person and lots of parents upset because they have to wait a long time.
Swimming Pool
Swimming Pool are overcrowded and they should have a larger pool of the size of the hotel.
Relax Pool was good for adults
Indoor pool you must pay extra per visit so if you exit indoor pool you have to pay again to re-enter which is a con. I didn’t mind paying for indoor pool if the £5 was for all day pass.
Recommendations
I do not recommend this hotel as this hotel is not fit for purpose. It’s a waste of money and you will be displeased.
- Elza96 (6/5): Overall OK with room for improvement. - Overall, we had a genuinely pleasant stay at this hotel for our 4 night break with several enjoyable aspects that made our trip memorable. However, despite it being advertised as a 4-star property, there were a number of inconsistencies that made it feel like it didn’t quite meet that standard in certain areas. Starting with the rooms, this is probably where the biggest letdown was. While they were clean and functional, they felt quite dated and lacked the level of comfort and style you would normally expect from a hotel of this rating. The furnishings were very basic, and some maintenance issues were noticeable. For example, the balcony door in our room was broken—we actually had to lift and slide it manually just to get it to close properly, which was inconvenient and not ideal from a safety or comfort perspective. On the positive side, the room did include air conditioning, which is always a bonus especially in warmer climates. We didn’t personally make much use of it as the evenings were not hot enough but it’s good to know it’s available.
When it came to dining, the experience was mixed but generally decent. Breakfast and lunch were both enjoyable, with a reasonable variety of options and good overall quality. Dinner, was a bit of a disappointment in the selection felt more limited and the quality didn’t quite match the earlier meals, which made it the weakest part of the food offering. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, polite, and clearly working hard, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, it did seem like there simply weren’t enough staff members available, particularly during busy meal times. This meant that tables weren’t cleared or reset as quickly as they could have been, couldnt get cutley and had to take from empty tables. It didn’t feel like a service issue on an individual level more a case of understaffing, which is something management could improve.
One practical point that future guests should be aware of is that you cannot use a card within the hotel to exchange money. This was a bit inconvenient, as it meant having to leave the hotel and walk to a nearby one where there is a cash machine available. It’s not a huge issue, but definitely something worth planning for in advance to avoid any inconvenience during your stay.
On a much more positive note, the swimming pool area was a real highlight of the hotel. The pool itself is very large, clean, and pleasant which made it really enjoyable to spend time in. There were plenty of sunbeds available around the pool, although they do tend to get taken fairly quickly, especially during peak times, so it’s best to head down earlier in the day if you want to secure a good spot. There is a smaller relaxed pool area at the far side of the hotel aswell. In terms of overall atmosphere, the hotel felt relaxed and welcoming, making it a nice place to unwind. While there are definitely areas that could benefit from updates and better maintenance particularly the rooms the positives, such as the pool, friendly staff and the weather. In summary, we had a nice stay and enjoyed many aspects of the hotel, but it doesn’t quite live up to its 4-star rating in its current condition. With some refurbishmen, improvements it could easily become a much stronger offering.
- alidA8078AC (10/5): Relaxing hotel - Just back from a short break to this hotel during Ramadam and Eid.
The cons:
Alcohol - limited free options but beer was nice and I totally understand that we were in a Muslin country
The room we had was quite tired (but renovations are underway and you could see signs of that)
The pros:
Cleanliness
Staff
Choice of pools (neither was particularly busy and we always got loungers)
Food (good options for every meal and tasty)
Spa - Hammam is a must
Quiet - every morning all you could hear was the birds tweeting
I would definitely go back!
- halfremarkable (4/5): Out of town location. Crap hotel. - Food and drink very poor.
A few food items good but mainly pretty grim. Mostly unlabelled and cold.
At least the omelette station could be relied on although the gravelled area behind it served as a litter tray for the local cats so was not a pleasant backdrop.
Food hygiene non existent.
Drinks limited to one poor lager and weak/tasteless fine etc.
Only one barman meant queue out the door.
- Nicetobeloved (4/5): Not a 4* hotel but easily could be - Pros - staff friendly especially housekeeping and groundsmen.
- gardens lovely and very well kept
- There is a nice quiet pool if you want to just relax.
- Cons….
- Food was fairly good the first 3 days with some lovely tagines and then suddenly went downhill. Much of the food was COLD. I am sure the holding trays do not meet health standards. They have microwaves dotted around which means they are aware of the problem.
- Plastic plates at dinner .
- There’s a fight to grab a salt pot. Seems to be 1 for every 5 tables.
- Where the outside chef was making omelets on a gravelled area there was a cat having a poo. No staff moved it on and totally put me off my breakfast.
- You can only enter the indoor pool if you pay a fee.
- Drink choice is absolutely dreadful. Bearing in mind they put half a glass of gin in the glass it doesn’t taste alcoholic in any way. Stick to wine or beer.
- The most surprising thing is the coffee which comes out of a machine and is worse than instant. 😳
- There are queues right out the bar for pre dinner drinks. Please put more staff on.
- Rooms kept clean but very tired. However they do seem to have started to renovate the rooms so hopefully within a year or two they should all be fresh and modern.
- It wouldn’t take a lot to make this hotel a 5*. It has large and superbly kept grounds spa and gym. It just needs the food, drink and rooms looking at.
- Bring a kettle (and your own mug if you like a big cup and not tiny cups).
- DON’T come if you’re a vegetarian. They do not understand cross contamination and seem to use the same utensils for everything
- 495janetw (10/5): Jans hol - I absolutely loved the experience, food fab & I'm a fussy eater, animation team brill, overall a memorable time xx
- Road816779 (2/5): Do waste your money - The Food was horrendous, everything was cold, even when on a heated plate, there was a microwave to warm food up which is not acceptable.
There was none or very few spoons/ utensils out to pick food up so people were picking food up with their hands and putting things back ( especially the bread, danishes etc)
Only a few food items were labelled and it wasn’t clear what it was.
Kids menu ??? pasta, sauce, pizza ( which was always cold) and chips that you have to wait ages for.
Hygiene in general was terrible -no tongs, (utensils) even with the salad bar. Cross contamination from one dish to another and people touching with hands to pick up food.
Bar/pool snacks - this was literally the leftovers of cold pastries and cold pancakes from breakfast ( again no utensils to pick anything up so people were touching and putting back etc)
There was also Birds flying around and pecking at food.
Many English people said the same thing about the food and hygiene.
They ran out of clean cups at breakfast and glasses at meal times so we had to use paper cups.
The bar in The lobby area was the only place to get a drink and at times there was only one person serving with the queue out the door. There was also not enough tables or chairs to accommodate all the guests. This room also had a bad smell lingering which was very off putting.
Our Room
It was cold unfortunately while we were there and the Heater in our room didn’t work properly (it kept turning its self on/off)
The Tv was also not working in one of our rooms - which would normally not bothered us but as the weather was bad, there was nothing else to do.
Shower totally unacceptable !!
It was Dirty and dated and you could see in through the window when walking by outside.
The floor and tiles were disgusting.
The glass in the bathroom had a chip in it.
The Room also smelt very damp/fusty/mouldy like sewers ( as if someone had just been to the toilet ! )
Bad weather entertainment
We Tried to play ping pong one day at 1pm but was told we could not use the equipment until 2.30pm ???? Why ??
There was Nothing to do when weather was bad /raining:-
One day we tried to use the Indoor pool but told there would be a charge of 100 dirhams (about £9 per person) for an hour to use it
The only Day entertainment was in the smelly bar area and it was how to make Moroccan tea and playing darts.
There was also work renovations going on, which your website informed about, but that was also constant around the pool area.
- G6588FEsvp (10/5): Gorgeous sunshine break - We had a lovely four night stay and really enjoyed the stunning grounds filled with beautiful orange trees. The riads felt traditional and I love how you definitely knew you were staying in Morocco. They are currently in the process of upgrading them to a very high standard however, for me that might take away some of the unique character, as they could end up feeling like they could anywhere in the world and the price will no doubt increase.
I didn’t mind the shower area 🚿 even though it was basic. The water was hot and the shower was surprisingly powerful which was absolutely fine for me.
I also really enjoyed trying the Moroccan/French food. There was plenty to choose from , from fresh omelettes and breads to delicious cakes. I also have to say they served some of the best wines I have had at an all inclusive hotel.
The entertainment team were fabulous and so friendly. A great group of happy people who really know how to have fun. The staff in general were friendly, pleasant and welcoming.
The hotel is not really within walking distance of local amenities, but we booked a few great little trips through the hotel instead. They were great fun and included some lovely warm hospitality, with mint tea and biscuits provided.
On International Women’s Day the hotel gave all the women a rose, which I thought was such a lovely touch. I really appreciated the effort 🌹
We also had a wander around the sister hotel and the water park looked very impressive, but we were more than happy with the hotel we chose.
Would I go back? Absolutely! Loved it . Thank you so much 😊
- F1346ARjaker (8/5): Great overall - Beautiful location and great staff. Wifi was very patchy, but I understand that this was partly due to the renovation works, which we were fully aware of before our stay. The renovation works were not intrusive at all, and cleverly partitioned off. They did not disrupt our stay at all. The shuttle service into Marrakech was great value and had lots of pickups and drop offs throughout the day. Overall, we were very happy with our stay.
- miacR4177OL (2/5): Bad Experience - When we arrived to this hotel we were immediately shocked by the rudeness of the reception staff. We did not have one pleasant experience with the reception staff in this hotel and they were extremely rude and dismissive. The main bar man was also very rude. The activities centre in the hotel where you book the hotel shuttle to the medina is open for a certain window during the day. During this specific window (9-10am) we had to wait over 20 minutes for the man at the desk to return so we could book our shuttle. The all inclusive drinks selection is very poor and you have to pay extra for ‘premium’ drinks e.g Rum. Nothing was clearly labelled in the buffet and you had to constantly ask staff what the food was. The only positives of this hotel was the entertainment staff who were very jolly and the cleaning staff who cleaned our rooms and changed towels well everyday. The rooms were very poor quality and a very dirty appearance. I will never be returning to this hotel.
- ScottyTooHotty89 (4/5): Rude reception - When you first enter the hotel, you go over to reception and they are very rude. When I asked where I could get a bus they told me
To go away and when I checked out they just said ok bye. I have not met such unfriendly rude reception and these are some of the house.
That being said the reason why i did not have one star was because the bar and rester-aunt staff were mostly friendly.
It is very far out from Medina so you are stuck unless you want to travel 30 minutes there and back each day which I did because the food served was not great, there was also building work going on. It was supposed to be a nice birthday and most hotels send you a little bottle of wine a gutsy or even say happy birthday and they were informed. I would not stay here again, thankfully id give jet 2 a 5 star review as they were great to travel with.
The travel was a lot more expensive in the hotel some of the same trips in hotel for £45 was only £15 on “get your guide” or trip advisor.
- SarahM14341 (6/5): Good but niggles - Been here before (3 years ago) and loved it. Just got back from there today, although overall we had a great time, we knew it was just a chill out break, there were a few things that we felt weren't great.
There was work going on at the hotel we hadn't been told about, so relaxing by the pool to the sound of power tools wasn't very relaxing.
Staff were over all fantastic, however management could come across very rude if asked anything.
Also as a female got caught short (monthly) and no shops nearby got charged the equivalent of £12 for sanitary products. So make sure you take plenty.
- BrianDunbar (8/5): Good and Bad - On arrival we checked in and were told that we were to change to the sister Hotel (Medina) 200 metres away. Our luggage was taken for us by a helpful porter.
The room there was ok. We had our evening meal which was most enjoyable.
The next day we were contacted by our Rep to say that he had slotted a meeting for 12:30. He didn't know that we were in another accommodation.
However we met him at the Valeria.
I told him that I wasn't happy that we were moved.
He managed to get us transferred back to our original choice after some negotiations.
Our room in the Valeria was better. It was a family room but the shower wasn't as good as the one in the Medina.
The restaurant was huge, meals very good but you had to ask what was being offered as there was no indication of what was on offer.
The bar was excellent but more often that not there was only one person serving and the queue was out the door at times.
The entertainment team were really good and very friendly.
Our maid did an excellent job supplying clean towels when required and making up the room.
The grounds in this resort are wonderful and we enjoyed walking round them.
The Hotel could really do with some upgrading as ini some areas it is looking quite dated.
The Hotel shuttle bus service into Marrakech is very good.
I just wish that we were a bit closer to the city as the resort in really out in the sticks.
All in all it was a nice stay.
- ClintG1 (6/5): Decent 3 ngts stay. - Decent Hotel with good facilities, stayed for valentine's break with my partner.
Stayed in room 2004 which was basic but functional, nice strong shower and cleaned everyday.
The hotel is having a refurbishment which is needed.
All inclusive was ok no Issues with something to eat everyday.
The best thing about the Hotel are the animation team who try to get everyone involved in activities.
The Hotel wasn't busy but all the Loungers were taken so I can only imagine in summer the hotel couldn't cope when full, I would return only in low season as decent base.
- 907nanay (10/5): Nothing to fault, we enjoyed our stay - We wanted a relaxing holiday and that is exactly what we got. The hotel is located away from the bustling Medina (main town centre) so was quiet and peaceful. The town centre is still accessible via a shuttle bus from the hotel for £2 single, this can be booked at the excursion desk. We only used this once as the day trips we booked included transport. There are also taxis outside the hotel if needed.
The cleanliness was 10/10, the cleaners were on top of it, I’ve seen some complaints about towels and don’t know what that’s about as they checked everyday if we needed new ones, the rooms could do with extra pillows though.
There was a wide variety of food, even for fussy eaters, and I appreciated that they sometimes cooked it fresh at the buffet. I also liked that the left the breakfast till 11:30 and there were slots in the afternoon to get a late lunch or snacks if you missed lunch.
Staff are friendly, I would say a little French goes a long way as this is more commonly spoken compared to English but English speakers will still get by.
The hotel looks just like pictures and they had some sort of entertainment on very night, it is also family friendly.
I would recommend this hotel overall.
- adriantU8031YD (2/5): Seriously think twice about staying here - Hotel review
I don’t typically write bad reviews by thought I had to speak my truth in this one so others may be able to see another viewpoint amongst the 4 star reviews as I thought the hotel was really bad. On the whole this was a terrible hotel and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here. Service was lacking, there was no attention to detail and the facilities were old and tired. Not a good experience at all. The hotel is a 2 star at best and shouldn’t be marketed as a four star hotel.
Room
* Room keys did not work and we were told to come back in an hour, the room keys were not ready for another 4 hours
* My daughters bed did not have a proper pillow or blanket
* There was a leak from the skylight and her bed was soaked
* The telephone in the room did not work so you couldn’t call reception to ask for anything
* The back door to the balcony was broken and didn’t open or close properly
* Mosquitos were everywhere in the bathroom when we entered the room
Food & Drink
* There was no one to show you to a table at dinner and you had to just grab your own seat which was annoying as you wouldn’t know if someone was sat there
* There was one tissue per place setting and no tissues elsewhere to pick up. You had request more if you could find staff in the dining area
* There were never enough cups so my wife at times had coffee in a glass
* Half the time the water machines didn’t work in the dining hall
* Finding salt and pepper in dining hall was like a treasure hunt. lol
* There were no proper metal spoons in the dining hall at lunch or dinner time. The desert spoon will like cheap ice cream plastic spoons which snapped in 60secs
* The desserts were the same everyday
* None of the food was properly labelled so it was difficult to tell what anything was. I once asked one of the younger chefs what one of the meats was and I said beef. When I tasted it, it was clearly mutton
* The food was terrible, the served random things like turkey all the time.
* The staff serving drinks in the dining hall were very nice and polite and the wine in the dining hall was decent
* It was telling that I the best food was chips. People would queue for chips and there was never enough
* In the bar the majority of alcohol was paid you could only get cheap vodka, gin, beer or wine at the bar. I once asked for a rum and coke but was told I had to pay for rum. Don’t understand why there wasn’t a check version of rum or brandy to serve
* Often glasses from the bar would be dirty
* There were never any paper cups at the bar
* The drinks at the bar for mixers were served from large bottles rather than cans, small bottles or drink dispensers so were always flat rather than fizzy
Reception
* This was one of the worst things in the hotel
* The person who greeted us when we arrived was lazy and incompetent. I asked for information about the hotel and he said it was all on the paper provided at the hotel reception desk
* When we went to the reception to pay for the spa treatment the staff member couldn’t find our details, rather than checking if everything was ok with the room he kept asking and only concerned about checking to if we had paid our taxes
* One day I asked for an iron and they explained there was only one iron in the whole hotel and a guest had it so I needed to ask tomorrow. Lol
* I complained to the reception desk about no towels in the room and the guy on the desk on Sunday evening 15th Feb, 18:18 (leaving detail as staff member was so bad and hoping management can pick up on this, can’t remember his name). The guy on the desk said I should complain to the manager if I had a problem. There was no apology
* I reported a leak in my room to reception and nothing was done
* Reception staff would be coughing all the time and not covering their mouths, perhaps a cultural thing but weird to me
* When I went to check out I was told that I had to pay for a Coke Zero that I bought at the bar and I insisted that I hadn’t bought anything. It took too long for the member of staff to dismiss this. It was very annoying being accused of ordering something I didn’t and the someone had charged something to my room
Cleaning staff
* Did not clean rooms properly, I accidentally smashed a glass and deliberately left some shards to see if they would be removed. The cleaner had come and all shards were still there
* Our room was booked for 3 people and only 2 towels were left out and they were small like hand towels
* One day one of the cleaners took all the towels and did not leave any. I had to walk to the reception desk to ask for more on account of the broken phones
* Cleaning staff would mop tiles with no cleaning signs up and tiles would be slippery without warning. I nearly slipped multiple times which was dangerous
General points on Staff service
* Mostly useless some could hardly speak English
* No real attention to detail with customer service
* One staff member who went to get me towels was unprofessional on his phone while going to grab the towels and didn’t really acknowledge me. I asked for 3 and he gave me 2 so I said I need 3 please again
* The bar staff were decent and coped with pressure of serving the whole hotel from one bar with one person serving very well
* The animation staff were friendly and tried to get people engaged in the entertainment
Facilities
* Facilities were tired and dated
* Our room did not show up on the system and clearly wasn’t used for people staying at the hotel
* No cash point in the hotel so you had to walk to the other site to get money
* The cash point at the other so the was faulty and you had to press above the regions you were trying to select
* A fire alarm went off twice at 4am and 6am. No staff attended to tell us everything was ok or that it was a system error
* The TV channels did not work at all except for one or two stations
* The TV in the main reception had more channels but the staff would let random people control the remote so they would put on things for themselves rather than a general consensus. Missed the FA cup games due to this
* The smaller pool bars closed far too early and this generated unacceptable queues at the main bar which would often go out the door
* There was not enough seating in the main bar area so if it was full people had to stand up
* The gym could have had some weights, mats and more floor space to work out. Also no tissues, towels or water were a negative
* The gym is literally a cardio room. 3 bikes, cross trainers and tread mills. One of the treads on the treadmill got stuck and nearly tripped me. There was only one plug for the three treadmills so you could only use one treadmill at a time
* The gym opened too late at 9am as its connected to the spa. Should be open much earlier
Spa
* This was one of the best things about the hotel and the one thing I would recommend
* The staff were professional and friendly
* The treatments were excellent value for money and performed well
* Waiting times could be better but the manager threw in jacuzzi or access to steam room for free to account for this
* The only negative about the spa was that you couldn’t pay at the spa by card so had to walk to reception to pay so this is a small issue
Location
It was far away from the madness of the main city centre which is good for some quiet but prices for cabs was inconsistent which was annoying.
- Anniepratt1972 (6/5): Good and bad. - Location is fine, a little way from town/ city which I knew before travelling, there are shuttle buses to and from Marrakesh from hotel. Hotel fairly traditional Moroccan decor, lovely reception and lounge area with a bustling atmosphere. I found some reception staff were very helpful and friendly and others to be very rude and dismissive. Our first room (as we changed after first night) 1500 block was clean but dated, shower was hanging off the wall, which would have been fine as this was a cheap holiday, except, I have mobility issues and we were on the first floor and quite a distance from reception/ pool/dining room etc. which we were prepared to accept until realising the room was swarming with ants, the patio door was extremely difficult to manoeuvre so we couldn’t stop the ants getting in, and the air conditioning was constantly dripping water leaving the way to bathroom and exit flooded, making tiles slippery.
On advising afternoon reception the problems remained unsolved and so later in the evening I asked about a possible room change which I was told to deal with in the morning.
Morning came and reception staff were brilliant sorted a new room for us halfway closer and with no lingering issues. Apologies were made for not getting us closer than 800 block as rooms under renovation, but on the ground floor level access for me was much more comfortable and manageable and the room was again dated but clean.
Food in main restaurant is buffet style whilst not roasting hot ( which is almost impossible in these situations) was plentiful, varied and perfectly edible. I would say a few more signs as to what some dishes were would have been helpful although many dishes were labelled and I guess you could ask. Service in the bar was hit and miss but the entertainment staff were good, engaging and friendly. The housekeeping staff, supervisors were again friendly, helpful and engaging nothing was too much trouble.
I visited hair salon Miriem did a fantastic new haircut for me and is very very reasonably priced, in fact cheap. Very pleasant experience which is more than can be said for the spa.
Ill be as brief as possible, it’s not the cleanest Spa I’ve visited, when the man showed me into changing room pointed to a locker and said clothes in there and left. A female staff appeared leaving door open to reception whereupon I tried to communicate my wish for a robe which eventually she found a very small size. Then I was told to go with her and take off robe and step into what turned out to be a steam/ sauna room which then four strange men came in also in their underwear. Situation was completely awkward and uncomfortable as it was clear none of us realised it was unisex. As a larger lady I don’t even sit by the pool without swim shorts and T-shirt let alone in an enclosed room as a lone female with several strange men with no warning or explanation. I must stress the gentlemen seemed as uncomfortable as I was and were very respectful. Two men were called out and after twenty minutes we were struggling to breath so the remaining men left before returning to say there was a seating area. Still no sign of staff or instruction, I wrapped the robe round went to reception asked the man if it was normal practice for a lady to be shut in a room alone with strange men, he laughed and nodded. I have been to spas all over the world and never been in a situation like this. When I finally was given my treatment although it was very nice, the young lady didn’t speak much English and my pigeon French was no good, so communication was very limited.
I spoke to spa reception again she didn’t see my issue and I my concerns were practicality ignored at hotel reception that evening. I feel all clients should be made aware of the possibility of shared facilities and to have appropriate swimwear rather than underwear and better instructions on how treatments will be done rather than left to your own devices for over 30 minutes.
Following day reception staff took me a little more seriously but again it just didn’t seem that important to them. Not to be rude but I was in a predominantly Muslim country and I find it difficult to believe the men would accept this for their spouses, so why was it so acceptable for me to be treated in such a manner. I have sent my concerns via email to hotel, Spa and EasyJet. People should be aware and able then to make the choice.
You can visit the sister hotel next door which we did, appeared much busier than our hotel, a little more modern. We ate lunch there but in fairness the Primary hotel (Atlas) was more to my taste. Didn’t visit water park which was next to sister hotel a couple minute walk but lots families seemed to be going.
There is also a night club in the main area but again I didn’t visit. Rooms were quiet and we had no issues in that regard. Bar closes before club opens so hotel seems to settle generally before midnight.
- karl3089EH (10/5): Short stay trip - Returned from a short break but wish it could of been a longer stay. The hotel, pools, grounds are extremely pleasant and tended to with its own large wildlife pond. The rooms are fine and cleaned every day if you wish, some are currently being renovated but heard no noise from this and general maintenance around certain areas getting ready for the busy holiday season. Food was always available throughout the day aswell as drinks wether it be alcoholic, soft drinks tea or coffee. Staff and entertainment team on hand all day and very helpful and friendly. Hotel may be a short taxi or shuttle bus ride but as two couples we booked direct within the hotel for two trips, one was an evening event in the desert which was fantastic with Dinner and show/shows, second trip an all day trip in Marachesh seeing all the sights that you probably would not see on your own with our own personal English speaking guide which again was fantastic well done to Atlas V for both experiences and well worth the value. Overall a great first short break away.
- GaryHay166 (2/5): Very disappointed!! - This review is for the Valeria del Atlas not the sister hotel the Medina as there seems like some poor reviews like mine and then some exceptional reviews which must mean the sister hotel. Or they've written their own reviews!
We arrived at the hotel around 10.30pm. The reception staff wasn't very welcoming no hotel information given. The room we was shown to was very worn and clearly in need of a refurbishment. In the morning we noticed the shower had black mold around the tiles and ceiling. The net curtains were torn and the patio door lock broken but a hook and clasp replaced it. I didn't complain as it was supposed to be a birthday celebration holiday with my son and tried to look for the positives.
The food was less than impressive throughout. Breakfast particularly poor. Not enough labeling to know what you was eating, luke warm in some cases, and very little choice. Birds flew around freely above your head along with stray cats walking around your feet. The staff rarely smiled.
There is only one bar open in the evening and queuing for 15 mins was the norm with service slow. The bar staff talk amongest themselves and are rude. The alcoholic drinks as part of the all inclusive package being of poor quality. A mixture of plastic and chipped glasses are used to serve you too.
Evening entertainment was cringeable. This hotel is a 2 Star at best.
Tip: We visited the sister hotel the Medina next door which we found out we could use as part of our all inclusive and the food was so much better and all labeled.
Guess what? Im not going back

- 669tillys (8/5): A very honest & detailed review - Resort was fine for the money. Amazing views of the Atlas Mountains nearby. The grounds within the resort are beautiful, and well looked after, with orange trees and a duck pond.
There are two pools - a ‘relax’ pool which only served paid cocktails (even though this is an all inclusive) and the ‘family’ pool which you could have the all inclusive drinks at.
The rooms were quite worn and outdated but we found no issue with this - there are some renovations happening currently at the hotel but this didn’t really disturb us.
If you are looking for an ‘exploring’ holiday, I wouldn’t recommend this resort. It seemed quite unsafe leaving the hotel on foot without a tour guide, so if you are wanting to go on walks I wouldn’t recommend it here. Always leave the resort with a guide / reliable taxi service. Our 5 day stay was enough as we were very happy staying within the resort and relaxing, and we did visit the Atlas Mountains once which was incredible.
All inclusive cocktails were very watered down (half a shot if that per drink) - however the paid cocktails (80 dirham each) were a lot stronger so staff were trying to advertise them. We found it slightly annoying you were only able to pay for the paid cocktails with card - as we had some spare dirham left which we weren’t able to spend.
There are some basic shops outside the front of the resort, but we were short changed by one of the ladies who sold us some sun cream - so be wary.
All inclusive food was fine for the money we paid. A lot of the food wasn’t labelled so we were unsure what half of it was - but most nights there was always pizza / chicken nuggets / chips which we considered ‘safe’. Breakfast had fresh omelettes which were lovely, and the coffee and juice were a nice touch. There is a pool snack bar which served paninis and chips around 3:00 which we enjoyed.
The entertainment team were amazing and very friendly. We loved the entertainment at night however I can imagine if you are staying for a week + it will get very repetitive as they seem to recycle the same acts. We did go to the night club one night which was a laugh but drinks there are paid.
Most of the staff were very very friendly however one gentleman in the puffer gillet at the bar always seemed very grumpy/rude and unhappy to serve us. The rest of the team however were amazing and very accommodating.
All in all, for the money you pay, this is an amazing holiday.
- Pameeela2018 (10/5): Girls trip - We are at the hotel now leaving tonight
We have had the best day celebrating my birthday..the staff were so accommodating and made my day special..the entertainment team were fabulous always professional and made every activity fun a special shout out to Max,Ramy, coco, momo, ayouh, khalid,James for being some of the best entertainment we’ve seen the shows were exceptional.
We will definitely return to this hotel as soon as we can🍹
- saif8897 (10/5): great hotel to stay in Palmarie - What a delightful place.
this hotel was like many small villa within a large campus. we were given a family room which had four beds and a shower. All clean and nicely laid out.
The great part about this hotel was the large campus where we can walk around at night. Even saw wild peacock family one day.
ample sports activities for kids, including a heated outdoor pool. (there were multiple pools but one (very large) was heated.
The hotel also provided many other many experiences throughout the day - morroccon tea on the floor, heena, etc.
All in all very good.
- antoniocI7623EL (2/5): Dissapointing - We have booked a tripple room..after arriving at late night we realised that there was not a bed ready for the third person in our room and only two towels. No shampoo, no desk as advertised, broken aircon, room very damp, filthy and smelly. We were charged €45 tourist tax!! ( 5 nights, 3 people) without any receipt. After our complain at the reception we were told that the hotel is fully booked ( but we were still able to do online reservation when we checked their website) we were offered a different room later, but unfortunately in the very same ( bad) condition...we were told to meet the manager in the morning.
In the morning we were told to wait again, manager not in yet, after another hour no sign of manager again...finally we had to cancel our stay....and go to a different hotel, 5*, where we paid €19.80 tourist tax.
The dirt was disgusting and bathroom was dangerous to use..the third towel we have received later had stains on, stains on bedding also..
- F8679POsandrak (6/5): 3/10 for this hotel experience - Hotel is lovely and clean all the time 95% staff was lovely the other 5%rude the look down there noses at English people but treat the French like king and Queens kept running out of beer not good for all inclusive turning hot plates off 1 hr before restaurant closes so food going cold breakfast supposed to start at 7am more like 8am paid for safe in room they kept saying someone will be there to sort it noone ever came after keep going to reception everyday
- 877jeans (4/5): Jean s - Just back from a 5 day stay at this hotel the rooms are really run down the cleaners never cleaned them properly television never worked even tho we reported it ...the food in the all inclusive was really nice no complaints...my biggest complaint was that is the woman manager behind the bar at night I found she was really rude ..plus every night we went in ..she would tell us after 10 that there was no rosie or white wine left only red ...which we then found out she was lying as one of the other holiday makers went and complained about it to the manager of the hotel ...then all of a sudden the white and Rosie wine appeared ...this happened to them four nights in a row ...its an all inclusive so I found this terrible as white wine abroad costs next to nothing ..she really let's the hotel down as a lot of them said they wouldn't go back to this hotel ...as I wouldn't go back to ....the management really need to keep an eye on there management in the bar
- jantyresmumy (10/5): Great service - Amazing service. Couldn’t have asked for anything more! Would definitely recommend and come back again! Mohamed and zakaria in the Italian restaurant!
- Pathfinder464769 (2/5): WORST DJ EVER MR JAMES VERY RUDE - hotel animation team IS what makes the hotel but one person from animation also the so called DJ james is very very ignorant and rude
I asked him to play a song and he started shouting at me telling me ITS HIS MUSIC I actually ended up in tears COCO FROM ANIMATIONS TEAM ACTUALLY SAW AND TRIED TO CALM ME DOWN
DIDN'T ENJOY MYSELF AFTER THAT HE MADE ME FEEL SO SMALL
THE HOTEL STAFF ARE OK HOTEL WAS VERY DIRTY FOOD IS DISGUSTING MY ROOM WAS RIDDLED WITH ANTS BED SHEETS WERE FILTHY Changed MY ROOM 3 TIMES MANAGER HAMZA IS A REALLY GOOD GUY very patient and well mannered but I wouldn't go back
- faye_faye2121 (10/5): Great budget stay - The hotel is set in extensive grounds with a duck pond, small fountains, orange and olive trees. It is very well maintained (there's even some peacocks and guinea foul). There are also views of the Atlas mountains in the distance. There is currently some renovations being undertaken. Occasionally you could hear this but very minimal. I think once done it will look fantastic.
We found all the staff at the hotel were lovely. Nothing was too much trouble.
Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable and room serviced daily (bottled water left in room too). Aircon worked well, cold as well as hot for the odd chilly night. Yes,rooms maybe slightly dated but really not an issue.
The restaurant served a variety of different dishes each lunch/dinner service. The fresh salads and desserts were lovely. I don't eat meat but still found enough options. Occasionally the food wasn't hot enough but this is often an issue i find at this type of all inclusive meal service. Red, rose and white wine served at meal times in the restaurant.
Bar gets busy in evenings and there is sometimes a bit of a queue. A few cocktails, wines and spirits available on the all inclusive. There's evening entertainment in the bar, not our thing so cant really comment on that.
Easy check-in and out procedure, you can also change currency there too. Theres a shuttle running hourly ( i think) into Marrakech, costing around £3.
Overall, great stay and we would return.
- almascotland (10/5): Brilliant holiday from start to finish - Valeria Dar Atlas Resort
Marrakech
wonderful week from start to finish!!
1048525898
loved this wonderful resort! lovely room, separate loo next to shower room, spacious and had plenty of space for our clothes. air conditioner that could also heat the room in the cold nights. we had the most brilliant lady who cleaned our room and changed the bed linen and towels( we declined the towels as could dry them from our balcony) quiet at night (except for noisy guests!!) but it was not late so all okay . entertainment ALL DAY!! plenty of sporting amenities, loads of fabulous staff!. tip- try to learn a few arabic words, goes down a treat!! french is fine and english embarrasingly is a language the staff speak better than us!! another tip- if scottish take english notes for exchange as our notes not accepted. food is plenty and varied everyday from the main dining area. the grounds of the resort are very well looked after and the attention to detail was all done by hand by a bevy of gardeners who worked tirelessly! there is a lot of wildlife around the fountain lake, guinea fowl, ducks, peacocks and turtles. there are orange , lemon and olive trees everywhere! just gorgeous. I recommend anyone ignores the negative reviews on here of this resort
- CharlieShel (10/5): A wonderful break in January - Our stay here was a very pleasant break from the coldest days of winter in UK. Here the days were bright and sunny and warm enough for a swim. The all-inclusive package allowed us to keep our glasses charged and our tummies fed well and it was all good value.
Initially the dining hall was closed for refurbishment and all was hectic and noisy, but it was in action after two days.
This must be the only month the entertainment was indoors and the fire-juggling performer made it very exciting.
Getting tickets for the next day bus shuttle into the centre could have been quicker and easier to do, if so we’d have gone a third time. Our room was chilly especially the floor!
- R3089OIdeborahp (2/5): Rotten 1star hotel - Iv never wrote a review befor. But i really think i have to let people no what there are going into staying at this hotel. ITS A 1STAR Dont be fooled by old pics. The place is damp filthy old. Rooms smell like 💩 to the point you vomit. Dangerous walkways and a building site at mo. Food is mushy slop. We lived on bread & butter and oranges. Room patio doors have lil hooks. Dont close . Front door has damage. Im 50. My partners 40. Where open minded and make the most of hols. But this was a disgrace. I dont no how were not ill. Check my pics if you disagree. Pictures dont lie
- sarahmU9815AW (10/5): Gorgeous grounds and relaxing pool area make the chaos of renovation work sink into the background - At first wasn't sure on this hotel due to the extensive renovations happening, which is probably why we got such a good deal. Other years couldn't have afforded it.
After our first couple of days eating in the theatre I felt the dining was really letting the place down, a bit chaotic and a strange system that we hadn't realized was temporary, but by Wednesday we were delighted to be in the actual dining room, which had just reopened. A world of difference! Don't know how they went from the building site it was that morning to being fully into it by dinner time. Hats off to the team who made that happen! Candles on the table at dinner and you almost feel you're out somewhere special and not just on a package deal.
The individual bars sometimes run out of wine and various drinks, the coffee machine sometimes not working, but multiple bars mean you might just have to walk a minute or two to get what you want. It's not a big deal at all and I imagine it's just part of the temporary chaos of keeping the hotel running while renovating, I can imagine this place is absolutely seamless in peak season. The staff are working hard so please please be kind and appreciate the situation and respect them (some visitors have been downright rude to the staff and seem to forget the positives this place offers).
The grounds are incredible, a duck pond with benches to get the first and last of the sun surrounded by nature, and the relax pool is truly restful with no loud music and far fewer people, plus the view of the snowy atlas mountains. No bar up here (or there is, but it's not included). We escaped there most days as I'm sensitive to noise and the building work was by the main pool, it didn't bother most people. Also had a lovely massage in the spa, roughly 28e for 25mins. Tennis courts, volleyball etc. Shout out to the groundskeepers who are the unsung heroes! Keeping the place immaculate in the background.
Have to say the animation team are probably the best for keeping adults entertained that I've ever seen. Seriously talented crew each with their own strengths, that come together for choreographed dance routines. For example the DJ who doubles as a dancer, Ayoub who is an acrobat and fire dancer, and the two girls who spend all day entertaining kids and adults alike and then smash it out on the dancefloor! What a team, they work so well together as well as individually, I can see them going far! ♥️♥️♥️
Like a lot of people mentioned the all inclusive spirits are not the standard strength/size, but honestly this is the same in all these resorts and no complaints from me - it's safer for the head 😅 and the white wine is actually pretty decent!
The nightclub after hours is reasonably priced, roughly 6e for a vodka and coke, and you'll definitely be hungover after those! But it's the craic you go for, both nights we were there we had such a laugh even though there were only a handful of people! The DJ is pretty epic and plays such a great mix and you don't feel self conscious being the first on the dancefloor, it's all part of the experience! It's card only, no cash.
A good bit out from marrakech, return journey for two on the hotel shuttle was 80dh (8euro). Journey roughly 20mins. Last one home is 9pm - memorise the drop off location which is about ten mins walk from main square. The medina and main square is obviously intense but if you don't want to eat and just want to wander then a resolute no is ok, just don't ask to see menus if you're not seriously thinking of eating or are just being polite.
Weather in Jan been great but we did hear they had a week of rain before we arrived so we're very lucky!
Bedrooms are a little outdated and are cleaned every second day, but if you don't need it just hang the do not disturb sign up.
Wi-Fi good enough to get work done if needed though it's not consistent throughout the day, so head up to the lobby if you can't access it from the room or pool and you should be grand.
If you see a good deal on this hotel, there's prob still work happening, so be prepared. But know that it's worth it fully, plenty to redeem it amidst the chaos and a really professional team. It's run exceptionally well thanks to the energy and passion the people who work here put in. Really impressed by them all! Thanks Valeria Dar Atlas!
- sc323 (8/5): Brilliant time and we are coming back! - We booked Valeria Dar Atlas but when we arrives at 9pm we were told they were overbooked and were staying in the sister hotel. I had a bit of a panic, but they gave us wrist bands for both hotels and told us to find food while they sorted it out. Staff were very friendly, a couple of the reception team dry humoured but we found them quite pleasant and helpful - please note that a smile goes a long way!
Our room was in the sister hotel but we were given access to both as well as a free massage and Hamman in the spa so we were happy. After the stress of the evening we woke up to the most beautiful site from our terrace of the ponds and wildlife as the sun rose. We had noted from other reviews that the rooms do not have tea and coffee so we bought a travel kettle and our own supplies. Our aircon didnt work but we were aware this may be an issue (35 degrees outside) so bought a small desktop fan with us. The TV didnt work even though we raised the issue twice with reception, but we were never in the room for long anyway.
With breakfast and lunch the tables had half bottles of water and wine served (even if we had to fetch them ourselves in busier periods) which were nice - the wine is surprisingly good! Personally we found the food plentiful and warm. There was always a couple of tagines available, as well as grilled meats, salads, pastas, potatoes, and for fussy people there is pizza, burgers and chips. Breakfast has an option of omelets and pancakes too. During the day they also did beignets which are amazing, as is the mint tea!
The pools in Medina seemed better for smaller kids, but the bar was more accessible. The pool area and entertainment was better at Valeria, but the bar less accessible (you have to be covered and dry to go indoors to get cocktails). We found the bottom bar did soft drinks and beer so opted for that instead - it felt like we were the only ones who had figured that out as there was never a queue!
The cocktails were generic and basic but not too bad, especially since its a country that doesn't drink alcohol. We stuck to the wine and beer to be honest - simple things.
The entertainment team work so hard and were lovely. It is worth noting that they try and tailor to the majority nationality, so when we arrived it was mainly in French with some English but as the week went on it became a lot more English with some French.
There is a mini bus that runs periodically to the Souks which is really useful and is about £2 each way.
We had such a lovely time that we are coming back in April and bringing my friend and her kids too!
- garryt314 (10/5): A fantastic place with the loveliest staff - I have just spent a week at the hotel, the staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Kahlid and the rest of the animation were outstanding and made every effort to make my stay a joy. Many thanks to Mo Mo who again made the stay a pleasure. Food great, rooms clean. Will definitely be back
- paulhQ296LV (2/5): Worst experience ever like jail - Don’t book this hotel trust me was here one day into my holiday and got my phone stolen in bar buy the bar staff I know I can’t prove it but pritty sure I never left the complex the whole day so don’t come here
- Mrmiy (4/5): think twice before booking - the hotel was freezing the staff even had coats and jumpers on ! . the waiting staff in restaurants and bars looked like they had just been pulled in from the streets definitely not like they worked in a restaurant. reception staff very unpleasant and didn’t want you there . rooms were like prison cells but at least we had the sun on the balcony and hot aircon . food wasn’t edible and often cold .not many drinks on offer considering it was alinclusive. entertainment staff did try very hard . gardens were very nice but that’s about it . maybe when the renovations are done it will be better .
- jamesbC3584QM (2/5): Very disappointing holiday from start till finish - The hotel was the coldest place on earth inside the building at reception. The staff there were very unsociable not even a smile or welcome. Then after check in had to walk considerable distance to the room. It was very basic no heating, no kettle or tea and coffee which you would get in a normal good class hotel. The food looks good on video but had to stick too basics as was unsure of any off it. They even cut off our free WiFi as we checked out at 12 midday, even we were there till late afternoon but when I asked they didn't seem to care to much and just said the Internet was down but all the reception computers were working perfectly. Very disappointed in the whole experience but will never be back. Dont know who rated it 4 star more like 2 star. You only get bit once to learn.
- 990bevf (4/5): Avoid this place - Very cold bring xtra jumpers. Internet goes of once you check out. Snacks is not crisps only buns. Rooms are outdated bring a kettle as none in rooms. A lot of people complaining about the staff. No intertainment at nights.
- W525LBalanm (6/5): Quite good, but could be better with a few minor tweaks. - It's a nice enough resort, I found it clean and well presented. The food was good, although not a huge selection, oddly I found lunch to be better than dinner. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful, but I do agree with some of the comments about the reception staff, they could do with some customer service training. Communication is generally poor, in terms of how to use facilities, what is available, what is an extra cost. A map and a more detailed clear understanding of the facilities would be beneficial. But for the price I'd still say this is worth a visit.
- Daydream65008047256 (10/5): Beautiful, spacious hotel - The hotel is lovely and spacious, on beautiful grounds , that are well maintained .
The room was nice , with a lovely view from the balcony . It was cleaned daily, with fresh towels toilet roll and bottled water provided as required.
The choice of meals was amazing , a huge array of food, displayed tastefully , to choose as you wish..a wide range of Breakfast foods delicious tangine dishes available ,piping hot...a wide selection of sweet treats to choose from, with a continuous varation of dishes each time.
I participated in a relaxing exercise class by the pool, there was various activities provided during the day and entertainment at night for those that wished to go
The room were quiet at night . The en suite was roomy but could probably be updated a bit.
We got taxis no problem to explore other parts of Marrakesh, or to go where ever you wish .....(shouldn't pay more than 150 dirhams ,though they will try for more )
A transfer bus is also available from the hotel ,on a regular basis
Even though the hotel is a bit far out ,it is actually nice to have such a relaxing venue , in beautiful surroundings , if you like to be away from all the hustle and bussle of an exceedingly lively place like Marrakesh . All in all i would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay .
- 578tariqk (10/5): Exceeded my expectations - Stayed at this resort for a week and found the staff very friendly, rooms cleaned regularly and the food of reasonable quality. After reading some of the reviews this resort exceeded my expectations.
- 828ellien (2/5): Very bad experience and I will not be returning - This hotel experience made us have a very stressful holiday and not want to be there. It is dirty, the staff people are rude, and have no control at all, everyone is miserable. The location of this hotel is well out the way of anything it’s 20+ mins in a taxi to Marrakesh which was fine as we knew that. The atmosphere during the day is draining, there is nothing going on, everyone is miserable. The entertainment just walk around with nothing to do most of the time. The drinks are watered down. It is a beautiful hotel just run by ignorant people. We didn’t have our sheets changed the whole time we stayed there (7 nights) we got spots and bites, the aircon made us struggle to breathe and made the room dusty. When we had a question Aziz was very rude to us, not helpful at all. So was another lady there who laughed at us because we didn’t know where to put our suitcase. The food was good but not much choice at all. The bar staff are lovely. The pool and the pool side is just full of flys because they down clean it.Overall I will not be returning and I hope they get better people are the front desk because they made our experience awful.
- terrij599 (10/5): Great budget hotel - Came back from here yesterday, stayed with friends, so two couples looking to have a base for Marrakech.
Lovely surroundings, gardens well looked after with quiet areas away from the main complex if you wish.
Check in was quick and easy, the front desk staff very helpful, offering food straight away (late flight) nice touch.
Rooms are based on Riads we had a mountain view, which was spectacular, snow topped Atlas.. Our friends had a pool/garden view. Rooms were clean, tidy and spacy. The cleaning ladies were lovely, always helpful and so cheerful. Didn't need to ask for anything from them..
We used the restaurant for breakfast mainly, which was good. there was something for everyone. The guys in our group stayed for food one night as the girls went into town. They said the offerings were your average all-in.
The staff in the hotel were all courteous and kind. The bar staff were very customer friendly, just what you want for a fun night. The restaurant staff very efficient.
Didn't use the spa but it did look lovely.
All in all, if you are looking for a cheap, clean base while in Marrakech then book it, I'd go back again. If you are looking for 5* then book somewhere else.
The hotel is undergoing renovations currently (with little knock on effect to guests) and looks to be something special.
Taxi's outside, barter the price down. We wouldn't pay over 150 MDH and they all accepted that.
Thank you to the hotel for a great stay.
- DriftwoodA (10/5): Total bargain! And lovely views - I'm not sure what to say. The hotel was lovely. Food was lovely (A little disjointed, but once you figured it out it made sense). Every day a different theme at dinner.
They really make an effort to make sure something for everyone, regardless of that days theme. It's Turkey-Ham not pig-ham, so don't get annoyed. It's a Muslim country!
(Yes, i witnessed someone actually complain!)
Room was spacious, which is very important to me. Very clean and tidy. A few weird niggles, like the bedroom didn't have a main light, bathroom didnt have anywhere to hang towels, etc, but over all very comfortable. And big bed.
Not sure why people have given low reviews, i'm really picky, but for the price i paid we got a massive bargain.
The views of the Mountains from the hotel and pool are spectacular, and the general hotel complex is well manicured. It's just all visually pleasurable.
You can use their sister complex along the road. Its a short 60-second walk.
The entire area felt very very safe. Loads of staff. And they seem to care about being good people.
The only thing you can really walk to is the desert outside the complex for spectacular views of the atlas Mountains.
Everywhere else its taxi (over-priced for Morocco standards because they know you're in the middle of nowhere), or their shuttle bus, which is every couple hours and a great service to the centre of Marakech.
- Scenic55069450976 (8/5): Reception team need guest service training - We can't fault the hotel, yes the rooms are outdated but we can see they are doing some renovations.
The animation team are fantastic, the spa team, the chefs and the bar staff made us feel welcome and was excellent in their service.
The food is good and does have a range of different options.
When we first got to our room we had no pillow cases and no towels, so we did have to ask for them, this problem was fixed promptly. Only on check out to be accused of stealing one!
The reception team should learn from the rest of the team on how to treat people. On the few occasions we needed to speak to them, we were ignored, rudely interrupted or spoken to so abruptly we came away thinking we should not have asked a simple question. Sadly, they have left us feeling a bit disheartened and embarrassed and unwelcome.
- kymm373 (10/5): Lovely time - Lovely hotel, basic rooms but really clean. Staff are always around cleaning. Entertainment team were brilliant and really friendly always working hard and chatting to people. Food was lovely no complaints at all will definitely be back.
- Q2329DWcourtneym (10/5): atlas - staff very friendly. good food and entertainment. plenty of activities to do and clean rooms. shuttle services from hotel to markets which are pretty cheap.
- Michellesimon1 (10/5): Great Hotel friendly staff , great food . - We went here New Year 25/26. Lovely hotel. the staff are so friendly and just want to make your holiday so good. New Year’s Eve they made so much effort. The dining room was set up so smart , the food was so good, then the entertainment on NYE was non stop from 7 pm right up to fireworks at midnight. brilliant experience.
The food was fresh and inviting.
The nightly and daytime entertainment was great , the entertainment team couldn’t do enough.
The resort is 20 -30 min taxi ride into Marrakesh. The hotel provide a bus regular at £2 which is better than a taxi for £15 .
The pool area lovely .
The rooms were clean but dated ( but refurbishment is undergoing as we speak )
- nicolecW7973GV (10/5): Christmas & New Year Getaway - Marrakech and absolutely loved everything about our holiday. The staff are truly amazing. From the bar and restaurant teams to the cleaners, everyone was so pleasant, welcoming and genuinely happy. ❤️
If you are visiting, you have to introduce yourself to Mr Tash. You will never meet a more genuine and kind man. By the end of the holiday he honestly felt like family. A big shout out as well to Mr Happy, another lovely and genuine person. His real name is actually M’Hamed, I believe he is the Bar Manager, but I gave him the nickname when I met him and it stuck for the whole holiday.😂
The food was out of this world, with different themes every night and plenty of choice. Every meal was excellent.
The only issue we had during the entire stay was with the bedding. The mattresses themselves were great, but the bedding did not fit properly, so during the night the mattress protector and sheet would bunch up in the middle of the bed, which was a bit uncomfortable. That said, this would not stop us from returning.
Overall, an amazing holiday and a hotel we would happily go back to.
- AndyAbroad77 (6/5): Not bad but not great - The holiday was great and we enjoyed our stay but the hotel is tired and in desperate need of upgrading.
The sound proofing was poor in the room and the shower was dirty. We were pleased with the staff who were all friendly and the greeting with tea and cake on arrival was very nice but upgrading of the bedrooms is needed.
- danielgK2181WJ (2/5): WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL !!!! - The rooms were very dirty, neglected, and smelly.
The window curtains were worn out.
The shower was very old and smelly.
The cupboards and countertops near the lamps in the bedroom were dirty.
The room was full of bugs and spiders.
The kids' club was closed, the indoor pool was unheated, and the pub was filthy, dirty.
insufficient number of people to work in the bar!!
One bar open for so many people and only two bartenders.
The food changed only twice during my 7-day stay.
Too little food selection, especially for children!!
We do not recommend this hotel to anyone!
Never 👎🏻 2/10
- brianmE7861PH (10/5): Great time for New Year! - We have had a great time at this resort! All the staff have been great and really helpful. The New Year party was fantastic and Ayoub was unbelievable!! We will be back!!
- lilliem2026 (10/5): YOU SHOULD COME AND STOP HERE IF YOUR PLANNING ON STAYING IN MOROCCO MARRAKESH - the animation team are very nice the food is outstanding the pool is heated the have a night club and it’s very good i hurt my foot and all the staff where there to help me the shows of a night are very good and they have activities in the day for children and adults i recommend coming here
- rogermC9564QN (10/5): Good around - Our group of 8 had a great time. Very entertaining 👏
Food varied
Pool good
Good value for cost
Rooms need some attention, which I believe will be done January to April
Unfortunately, no dark rum on all inclusive, which is a little disappointing.
- V5566SFjaded (10/5): Fabulous time. - Fabulous staff, had a problem with tv and heating not working and was giving upgrade straight away. Food brilliant. Lovely place, clean and tidy. Entertainment staff all wonderful.
- adamtI4063ZK (10/5): Winter Sunshine - Great Hotel - Brilliant time to catch some Winter Sun. Staff really friendly, hotel clean and the food really good!
My 4 children all enjoyed their stay would definitely recommend.
- linandmikeg (4/5): Couples disastrous winter break - We arrived on a Friday afternoon and the rooms were not ready. Once in our rooms they were very cold with no instructions on how to get the heating working. Our friends asked someone to come and check the heating but it took several days to get infrequent bursts of warmth from it. The sheets were not changed all week which did not particularly bother us but they were very worn and ripped and although clean they looked grey. Rooms very dated but there does seem to be a programme of updating taking place. Bathrooms very cold and we felt very concerned about the potential of slipping.
Location: a long way out of the city with nothing local to do/see. Actual grounds beautiful but once outside the site of the hotel it is very third world.
Restaurant: we found the food good and there is a microwave to heat up your food. What did concern us was the birds flying around the restaurant, we saw them regularly settle on the bread station and help themselves to bread/cakes etc.
One of our friends became very ill and we had to get the doctor out to her on the Monday night. The service from all concerned at the hotel was very good but she was unable to get out of bed until it was time to leave to go home. Once home paramedics were called (and a doctor) and they have taken blood and stool samples and the consensus is that she has Avian flu. She is still unwell and we are now nearly 4 weeks into her becoming ill.
Would we return: No
- V3512FQsharonh (10/5): An amazing experience 💫 - This our first holiday, we had a really lovely time of five of us, the food it was ok and there's always something to eat.
The rooms ok as well very clean but some of it needs updating
The bar is excellent.
The entertainment very friendly and they are making effort for the kids and teen, the new year show was wonderful and the extra fire show also was amazing, and they do a lots of different activities all day and every night is nice with them.
The reception needs to simple a bit, some of them,
Big shot out to Kamal the guy who do trips around and the meetings, he was so helpful.
I want to say that I really appreciate all the staff of the hotel they been we us in every situation.
We would love to have another holiday here and I like to recommend this beautiful place.
- steveaQ8439QB (10/5): Thank you the best entertainment team 👏🥰 - I hope this review will be honest to you, I just want to say the truth about everything I have seen and found out, let's start from the rooms, the rooms was ok the air conditioning needs just to knew how it works and the rooms was clean every day we had in the hotel.
The food is not too bad, at least you can find something for sure.
The entertainment team, they were so friendly and amazing people, the smile and the kindness, their show are so good, especially the new year show with fire show and dancing show.
The bar is ok, you need just to wait a little bit to get what you want.
In my experience I would like to come back again next holiday and I'm thinking to come in Summer time.
In the end, I want to thank all the staff and the animation team and Valeria dar atlas marrakech
- irishU2fan (4/5): Freezing - FREEZING
I’ve stayed in 3 stars by Tripadvisor before. This is definitely not better . Maybe a three star
yep we went for new year and temperatures were low. Hotel is cold everywhere except bar. My apartment the heating not working.
WiFi not available in apartments furthest from reception. I had my own data from Holafly and signal is weak around the area
Staff ok - most really nice and some not helpful but I think it’s more a language barrier thing
30 minutes to Marrakesh centre
Would not return to this hotel
- O3820JSdariap (2/5): Big NO for this hotel - The gardens and pools are beautiful. And that's end of nice things in this hotel. The food is very bland, the same every day, with no choice. I even had one time situation where my chicken and fish was raw! The front desk seemed unhelpful and unpolite. I didn't feel comfortable staying at this hotel. The entertainment team presented a program, but they didn't follow it, they did absolutely nothing. Most of the entertainment staff just walking around the hotel, taking pictures, and spending their time on their phones. They were completely useless in the hotel. The rooms are very old, run-down, and dirty. In winter, the rooms are very cold, and the air conditioning in our room only works with cold air. You pay all-inclusive, and you still have to pay for everything. I wanted to use the indoor pool because it was raining outside, and you have to pay for the indoor pool too! I've stayed in many hotels in different countries, but I've never seen such an absurdity. At 11 PM, "housekeeping" knocked on our door. I don't understand why, and for what reason. Didn't open door and I just screamed that I'm sleeping. Can someone explain to me why, at 11 PM, there's a knock on the door from a staff member who hasn't been called?! I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will never return.
- Cramlington65 (6/5): Freezing cold in main building - Nothing around the hotel. The hotel is not equipped for cold , wet weather. Some rooms didn't have working heating..The bar and restaurant were freezing. The food never seemed hot. Same food day in day out. Day time entertainment was more or less non existent. Nothing to do when it's raining. We were there 1 week and our bed sheets were never changed. We know this because of marks on them.
Evening entertainment was mainly for morrocan guests who were doing line dances that they all knew. Very boring if you are from other countries. They are not even interested in teaching other foreigners these dances. One staff member even said he'd show us a magic trick. He picked up my beer and hid it with his jacket and said if we counted backwards from 10 he'd make it disappear. He then waited till we started counting and he drank my beer at a quick pace. I was not amused .
It may be different in the summer months when you can lie around the pool but don't go in the winter.
- charleejadeh (8/5): Let down by one member of staff - I’d like to start by saying that I’ve stayed in this hotel multiple times before so my review is not a reflection of the hotel itself, just a particular member of staff who made me feel very uncomfortable. I was sat on my balcony following the night time entertainment approximately 23:30pm, I travel solo so it was just me sat on my balcony and my room happened to be the closest room to the complex/bar. I was minding my business and watching videos on my phone whilst finishing my drink that I’d had from the bar when I was approached by who I know as the “night manager”. He approached the wall next to my lower ground balcony with 4 other men and proceeded with a “bonjour cà va” I replied “sorry I’m English” to which he said “I know” and then himself and the 4 men he was with, proceeded to step over the wall and approach me on my balcony. As a solo traveller this is not only intimidating but frankly quite frightening. The following question of “are you having a good time” miss led me to think that there was no ill intention in him approaching personal space however, that question was followed by a policing and interrogation by him self with his bodyguards behind him. The questions that followed “what is your room number”, “where is your wristband” and “what is your first name”. I answered these questions in the moment, panicking that something was wrong. Following this interview I replied “is everything okay” he responded “someone else is supposed to be staying in this room”, after himself and his crew stepped down from my balcony and left my site. I sat there for a second or two wondering what had just happened, I stepped into my room and sat on my bed contemplating. I was weary and frankly quite scared, I questioned whether I should get in the shower in case these people came back to tell me I was in the wrong room or I should not be here, despite me having full confidence of payment and every document you might need. I struggled to sleep with the stress of wondering whether I would have a knock on the door. I’ve visited Morocco and this hotel in particular multiple times and I have never had any problems and all the staff are so inviting, so this particular member of staff has really knocked my confidence which is a shame because this was a place I felt very safe to visit as a solo traveller.
- 97valerym (6/5): Good and bad - Got a very good price so can't complain too much. Yes, rooms are basic but have everything you need. Cleaning staff lovely.
Food very good, great choice. Traditional food, but what do you expect? Restuarant staff all pleasant, especially El Mehdi who was extra helpful. Lunch and dinners very good.
Too much queuing for drinks at bar, and most staff there ignored you if you were female. Nadia was very good though, and worked very hard.
Reception staff very unfriendly and quite rude (as mentioned in many reviews) Completely ignored you if you were female.
Shuttle bus excellent, although not free now (but still a bargain)
Can't comment on evening entertainment.
Music round the main pool very loud most of the day. Daytime entertainment can be quite intrusive.
Biggest tip - you can only buy local currency with cash at the airport or the hotel (can't use card). The sister hotel has a cash machine but is a little walk.
Not a bad hotel but much that could be improved.
- Y2505 (8/5): Fantastic staff and hotel. Cleaning could be better - First of all, I’d like to say how amazing the entertainment team is at this hotel. They are all incredibly friendly and really make the effort to get to know guests – you genuinely feel like you’ve made friends 🧡.
The hotel itself is very beautiful, with a lovely pool area and great, comfortable rooms.
The only downside was the cleaning. During my 11-day stay, my sheets were not changed once, and overall cleanliness was below the standard I would have expected.
That said, aside from this issue, I would 100% recommend staying here and I would definitely return again.
- Deanjames4444 (2/5): Disappointed and insulted - No.... Rude, went for 4 nights? Glad to be back in UK. Never seen so many people complain from the day me and my disabled wife arrived. Felt resentment and a young gay lad was refused a drink! I could go on and on, but the hotel have pathetic long responses to any criticism.
- 31pippab (6/5): Nice Hotel - but room for improvement - A week's getaway from the weather in the UK, as a Solo traveller this hotel and it's reviews had been my driving force to book.
The travel agent downgraded the hotel to 3* before I arrived. The majority of staff were friendly and approachable but Reception staff were very "off". As to cleanliness of the room, towels were replaced daily whether placed on the floor or not, but the sheets were never changed ( would have expected a change every 2 or 3 days given star rating). Glass in bathroom was not clean on arrival and the floor behind the toilet floor had hairs etc still there. Floor in room was never swept at all in a week. I would therefore say that the rating given by the travel agent is apt, but a shame as the Hotel could be so much more. Animation team and waiting staff were perfect. I've worked in hospitality for years - room for improvement here.
- joshmI4128JT (4/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!! - Absolutely shocking. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!
The location is right out in the sticks, no local amenities like shops etc for basic supplies. Atmosphere from the staff is ‘please go away’ rooms are dark, dingy, cold, dirty and very outdated.
‘All inclusive’ is not all inclusive. If you want mojito, expect it to be made with gin or whiskey!! The only all inclusive alcohol you are allowed is their own gin, vodka and whiskey, which isn’t made clear prior.
Food really isn’t the best. I was served undercooked lamb kebab.
The staff behind the reception and bars are very rude.
The animation staff are lovely, very attentive, but not given the equipment by the hotel to make the most of their skills.
Oh, and don’t expect drinks from glasses. You get tiny paper or plastic cups
Overall, I give this hotel 2 stars
- T1879OEsandras (8/5): Good holiday - I had a good experience in this hotel. Was just weekend but I really enjoyed with my friends. Recently I will can back next year. But my suggestion the hotel needs to add more food variety.
- devangeem (2/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE - The major concern we had during this trip was a breach of personal space.
We checked in to our room around 8pm on the 20th November. At around 11pm, we hear knocking on our door. When I went to check this, our door had been opened by another guest as he had been provided key card to access our bedroom. The reception had allocated the other guests to our already occupied bedroom. Being 2 young women, this incident was extremely frightening and we felt unsafe during the rest of our stay.
The following day I complained to the manager and he offered a room change and a free meal. The room change was extremely dirty, so we decided to stay in the current bedroom. The meal provided also was unsatisfactory causing stomach pains.
The second issue we had was the overall cleanliness of the dining area, plates, cutlery and the quality of food provided. There were multiple flies around the food, raw meat being served, cats and birds in the eating area. The cutlery and plates also appeared to be dirty, with no sink available to wash hands or cutlery.
Other issues included the key cards not functioning causing us to be locked out of our room, rude hotel staff, other staff knocking on our door at night, lack of soundproofing.
Overall this stay had been unsatisfactory and caused anxiety during our stay. The fear of people entering our room at night kept us both worried for our safety. This anxiety caused lack of sleep for both guests.
- Adventure280587 (10/5): Great holiday 😊 with friend - Great holiday , hotel great, entertainment excellent . All stall friendly. Would definitely come back again 😊Speed very friendly had us up dancing in the evenings
- KarenM8160 (4/5): Poor quality, never a five star as advised - Staff at reception do not want to speak with women when a man is there. The rooms are very basic, the bathroom door was all warped and broken at the bottom due to the shower over flowing and the drainage being poor. The rooms are freezing with no way of heating them. Food is basic and repetitive if you like pasta then you can eat as much as you like other than that the rest of the food isn’t great. Entertainment is terrible, a few staff dancing and their English wasn’t great.
- B5942OIangelal (8/5): Generally good - Entertainment amazing very friendly
Issue with bar staff - supposed to be all inclusive but refuse drinks
Hotel and room lovely
Food great
- beno760 (4/5): Worse holiday ever - I think i have been kind giving 2 stars.
Food: Not much choice. Nothing really for the children to eat. Take the times as a rough time as never open on time.
Room: There was a sharp hair pin on the floor. Lots of hair all over the floor. No pillow cases on kids bed. Ants all over thr floor. Air con/heating not working. (Reported to reception and then was resolved)
Staff: Entertainment staff - really friendly and welcoming.
Reception - Rush you away and really rude. They informed us that we would have a meeting on Monday with a rep to give us infornation about excursions and the area. Noone turnes up after waiting around for nearly an hour after asking several times.
Excursion and activities guy - Not really helpful.
Not very kid friendly in December as classed as out of season. This was the information given by the entertainment staff.
Spoke to some from the sister hotel and they informed us that there is alot for kids in their hotel but you can't use the hotel except for water park which closes at end of November.
When booked said great for families you would take this as child friendly but it really is not they cant join in the activities during the day because there only for adults.
- Ginge2003 (10/5): A great wee place, don't let the bad reviews put you off dry your eyes - First of all I don't know what all the fuss is about this is an amazing hotel, we are fussy eaters and there was always something to eat and really well cooked and presented from omelettes and doughnuts in the morning to the amazing food at lunch and dinner they even had candy apples 🍎 😋. There is a wide variation of nationalities at the hotel so your not going to get chicken nuggets all the time if you want that go to Blackpool not Marrakesh. The rooms are cleaned every day and very functional, they must be doing an up grade as we seen some rooms had been renovated, we were told there was building work going on, they were planting trees. They animation team work there buts off day and night and are very funny and good at there job, reception staff were also really good as I wanted to watch F1 the put it on the main TV in the lounge 😀 👍. What they don't tell you when you book and I feel they should is there is an underground night club which my other half loved and you wouldn't even know it was there as you can't hear the music. There bar staff are great and make some amazing cocktails 🍸 👌 the only down side is rum is not part of the all exclusive you have to pay for it and Muhammad and Ronaldo and Grumpy lol are great👍. The shuttle bus into Marrakesh is very handy and cheap. The five days we spent was not enough next time we will stay longer. We have made so many new friends and memories that will last a lifetime. The hotel is what it is, if you want the Hilton then you'll pay probably triple.
- P834IApeterh (10/5): Amazing experience would definitely come back entertainment was excellent thank you too all of the staff - Great venue entertainment was brilliant and amazing food was a show on every night and the staff are very friendly and willing to help
- paddi140 (10/5): Good budget friendly break! - Had a fabulous week here ! The staff are all very nice and friendly and more than happy to assist ! Rooms are a good size, and serviced daily, decor a little dated but then I didnt go to spend week in the room !!
Entertaimment staff work hard throughout the day while always wearing a smile! Encouraging but not too pushy!! Again they entertain at night time!!
Food not too everyone's taste, and I did see a few McDonalds being delivered ... however I enjoyed every meal and thought food was of reasonable standard with many options available. Will be back ! Thank you!
- lindag229 (8/5): A great winter break - We have just had a lovely week at this resort. Yes the rooms are a little tired but they are clean and comfortable and the housekeeping team are great. The food was good quality and fresh and whilst the salads and pastas were a little samey the selection was good with something for everyone including roasts, baked fish, pizzas freshly made every day, barbecue every lunchtime and themed evenings, even fresh oysters one night. The food on Morroccan night was amazing! Breakfasts were good with a good selection of breads, pastries, cereals, fruit, yogurt, eggs and sausages every day.
We spent a lot of time chilling at the relaxation pool which is in a lovely quiet landscaped setting. All of the grounds were very well kept and attractivecand the gardeners were all very friendly.
The only real downside for us was the queues in the bar and the fact that you had to queue there for coffee and tea at all times apart from breakfast.
The staff were amazingly helpful. On our last day my partner was unwell and the reception team and photographer were anazing, ordering taxis, calls to a local doctor for advice and being available by Whatsapp should we need them at any time in the night when we were at the hospital.
We would definitely go here again.
- 991rowanc (10/5): Brilliant - Well, what can I say, other than, 5 stars at a 4 star resort. Both myself and my wife, from arrival to departure, found all of the staff friendly, attentive, and really, really, helpful.
They accorded us appropriate levels of encouragement into the hotel activities without being pushy or overly zealous.
The food was, at all times, of an exceptional standard and always available. Nothing ran out and all was accessible for all. We don’t drink alcohol but from what I saw for those who do there was never a shortage.
We have already booked our return for next year, 2026. 💯
- joannag990 (8/5): Amazing holiday - Myself, my partner and 2 children spent 11 nights at Valeria Dar Atlas and we had a brilliant holiday. The staff were all amazing and friendly especially the entertainment team and Mr Tash, Sam, Coco, Samad, Asma. The room was spacious enough for 4 people and was cleaned every day. The beds were made and we had clean towels every day. The mini fridge and hair dryer were a bonus. There was a main big pool, kids pool and adult only pool and all had enough sunbeds. In general the hotel was well presented. There was a variety of food during all meal times (some days not enough choice for my children but okay for adults). The entertainment day and night was very good. The entertainment team encouraged people to participate in activities and made them enjoyable. They also put on brilliant shows at night. There was a variety of excursions provided by the hotel. The hotel also provided a shuttle bus to Marrakech which was cheap enough. It was only about 25 mins from Marrakech.
- A2691WOrubyl (10/5): Give it a chance! - Honestly I can’t stress enough how amazing this experience was, me and my partner visited from the 17th till the 24th of November and have absolutely no regrets. First of the entertainment team is absolutely amazing (especially the newer staff member) I was quite anxious to go as Morocco is very different compared to other holiday destinations but everybody was wonderful, even when we went camal riding the person taking us there was brilliant as well as the people we met there. The only thing I will fault is the food which I seen before on trip advisor, it is purely Moroccan food which is fine all beautifully presented but as I am somebody that is a very picky eater I just stuck to the bread and pizza they serve. Another thing is wasps! Around the pool there is a lot of flies but the wasps were quite bad as well; but overall the experience was absolutely amazing going back next year but this time with no doubt in my mind. Another thing which isn’t necessarily the hotel they do not accept Scottish notes I’m not sure if that’s common sense but make sure you manage to get the right currency if you want cash before visiting. You also get tourist charge? Which I was quite confused about but everything else so amazing.
- 286aideng (10/5): 100% recommend. - This was absolutely the best holiday ive ever been on. The hotel is abit far from main town but taxi always available and theres an excursion bit inside hotel. Staff are all so lovely and welcoming, entertainment staff included. Samad, one of the entertainment staff, was absolutely top notch. Cleaners also were 10/10. Me and my partner are already looking at going back next year as we enjoyed it so much. The only complaint i would give, although its not really a complaint, is there wasnt much food choice for “picky eaters” as such. Its mostly all moroccan dishes which personally i didnt like and met a few peple who also didnt like it, so there wasnt very much alternatives, but who cares. Everything was perfect other than that so im not even complaining.
- lbQ367YV (10/5): Amazing Valeria Dar Atlas Resort - Amazing staff. Would like to thank all the staff for such an amazing time. Everywhere is kept immaculately clean and the food was great. Entertainment was brilliant. A big enormous thank you to the bar staff and Mohammed. This was my second time to the Valeria Dar Atlas Resort this year and cannot wait to visit you all again. I hope the management team give you all a big pat on the bag for being so brilliant.
- Romany2304 (4/5): Pay the £££ and go somewhere else - We are here now and this is an honest review but it’s based n my experience of other hotels
Bars are dreadful, wait time of 10-15 minutes, run out of beer daily last night no vodka, but remember we do get what we pay for but we expect the drinks that are the included with all inclusive.
I think the food has been good the lack of salt and pepper (literally you have to run around to other tables to find the five shakers for the whole restaurant) it’s ridiculous! And the files everywhere make you want to think twice about what you’re eating!
The reception staff the rudest I’ve ever encountered!
Rooms uummm ok no draws? No dressing table, if you were 3 in a room you would defo struggle in 40+ years f travel first time I didn’t unpack nowhere to put anything a few hangers and 2 shelves? No kettle! Had to ask for a fridge!
Entertainment is so monotonous the staff try but the conger every night 🤦♀️🤦♀️ plus when they’re showing you the dances they either have there back to you so you can’t see or going to fast! If you going to teach the crowd let them see what your teaching and slow down to there pace instead they seem to just be trying to out dance each other!
Would we come back? Not in a million years, pay the extra £100 and stay somewhere much nicer!! Oh but I will say the grounds are beautiful and the camel 💩 they are using right now means your literally covered in flies all day 👍🏻🤣 good luck xx
- Z5048IOahmadi (8/5): Peaceful stay ! Nice ☀️ - Amazing stay back soon !
It was amazing stay in the hotel thanks to effort of the animation team , Salma and ouissal and the boys …were all so good ! Doing fantastic job compare to others hotels in Marrakech ! hind and hamza were very helpful, yassamine in the open bar just perfect delicious food thanks everyone .. beautiful piscine very good DJ in the night club …
Love you all !!
- Wander07934824544 (8/5): Wedding couple in Valeria dar atlas - Location, little far from centre but hotel has shuttle bus £2.00 each way .
Rooms are little dated but clean , staff very nice..well one guy on reception is a nark. But suppose you get one of them every where.
The animation team are fab. Big shout out to Coco and Sam , who made our holiday really special, we were invited to take part in a Moroccan wedding, didn't know what to expect, but truly enjoyed it , thank you
Lovely young staff in the restaurant , and would recommend the a la carte mirrocan restaurant ( behind reception) cost about £25 for 2 , it was a really nice experience xx
- TrailBlazer723537 (6/5): Ok I guess - First of all, the receptionist can be slow, but are polite and will get your issues resolved. This hotel needs a word with their bar staff as they get frustrated easily if you ask them for something like “no ice”. Cocktails were very watered down and all tastes the same. So 4/10 for cocktails.
Food wasn’t too great either, the best was the lunch. I’m not a picky eater at all but I struggled to find anything decent. However do try and make it for lunch as it’s really good. Breakfast 5/10, lunch 9/10, dinner 6/10.
The atmosphere was just ok. The hotel offers entertainment so that’s great
There’s this tour guide who is very rude, he’s who you go to if you want to book a bus or excursion. So expect unfriendliness from him.
The rooms were just ok, the shower is not convenient and gets water everywhere.
The hotel is in the middle of almost nowhere so stack up on necessities.
Lastly, if you are black/ darker skinned be prepared to be treated like you’re a nuisance
- EmiliaLondon (8/5): The best tea in town - The hotel is quite faraway from Marrakesh but with their own shuttle buses easy and cheap to book. Friendly stuff, clean rooms, and good food. The best tea in town made by El Mehdi.
- Z2731QLdenised (10/5): Fab stay - First of all, the price we paid for this hotel was an absolute steal! We still have a couple of days left before heading back to the miserable UK weather, but we’ve had the best sunshine here.
Room: Clean and comfortable. The housekeeping team work very hard and do a great job. The room has everything you need – if you want a kettle, I believe you can hire one, but we brought a travel kettle knowing there wasn’t one provided. There are plenty of bars where you can get tea and coffee too.
Food: Honestly, the food has been outstanding! I’m quite a picky eater, and so is my friend, but we’ve both found plenty to enjoy. The selection is great, everything is fresh, and the restaurant staff are polite and work hard to keep everything topped up.
Hotel Grounds: Beautifully kept and spotless – you can tell the staff take real pride in their work.
Entertainment: Fabulous! The entertainment team work so hard and put on some lovely shows in the evening. During the day, there’s plenty going on around the pool, but it’s never pushy or over the top – a great balance. Momo always takes the time to say hello, “Wales” he is a real asset to the team!
Even the manager makes time to chat with guests, which is such a nice touch. We mentioned the idea of having a kitty neutering donation box at reception to help manage the hotel cats – I really hope that’s considered, as it would mean a lot to guests who care about the animals.
All in all, we’ve had a fantastic time here and will definitely be returning after Christmas with my son and grandkids.
Thank you to Team Valeria

- cassin0b (8/5): A good hotel let down by two things - A really good hotel complex - the food was good, the accommodation was good, the facilities were good. The place is badly let down though by two major issues - the Wi-Fi is abysmal for a modern hotel and the bar service was at the speed of a slug. The bar staff just did not seem to care that a long queue was the norm.
- X2110GNjamiec (10/5): Unforgettable Holiday - This is my first time in Marrakesh and on arrival I asked to change my room as location wasn’t for myself and the reception staff were so friendly and helpful and changed my room with ease. The food at the hotel I can not fault at all all of it was very tasty and a big variety also. The bar staff were all very friendly! The Entertainment staff were the best I’ve known! The way they are with kids and adults also! They take the time to get to know your name and sit with you around the pool and ask about your day! The games around the pool throughout the day are fun and entertaining! I really have no complaints and thinking about coming back in March for my 40th!
Big shout out to Maxim, Samad, Samya 🫶🏽🤍 Big Love
- lisapV2863WI (10/5): The best hotel - Stayed here from 7th-10th November 2025. Hotel is amazing but the staff are better right through from hotel maintenance, bar and catering staff, food, some thing for everyone. Clean friendly, even the beds are comfy! Give it a go, will not be disappointed! Entertainment team are fantastic, Momo, Maximus, Coco to name a few, and the bar man Said ( Mr Happy) but all of them were so friendly and nice to us, we would like to have another beautiful holiday.
So it’s for sure highly recommended. Back in March with family & friends xx
- O6757SSashb (10/5): Great service and stay 5* - Samad, Coco and the rest of the entertainment team were exceptional. The hotel itself is very hospitable and friendly. There was never a moment we was bored and the customer service is great.
- S4792PSjanel (8/5): Lovely holiday - Had a lovely 4 days.
The food is plentiful and varied each day.
The rooms are a bit tired, but nice and clean, comfy beds.
All the staff work very hard ,the hotel is clean and gardens are well looked after.
The hotel offers a shuttle bus into Marrakesh at a small cost, which stops 5 mins from J'El Fna square.
We booked the excursion to the Agafay Dessert , for a Morrocan evening which was excellent.
Taxi service is outside of hotel gate,150 dirhams to centre ( agree price first )
- 551sehrishk (10/5): 5* exceptional service - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Stay at Valeria Dar Atlas – Can’t Wait to Come Back!
We recently stayed at Valeria Dar Atlas, and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the warm welcome and outstanding service. The hotel itself is beautiful — clean, stylish, and full of relaxing spaces — but what truly made our holiday unforgettable was the exceptional customer experience throughout our stay.
The staff are absolutely lovely. Everyone we interacted with went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious, with plenty of variety and great quality at every meal.
A huge shoutout to the amazing animation/entertainment team, who made every day fun and memorable. Two people who really stood out were Coco and Samad — they brought so much energy, positivity, and genuine care to their work. They made us feel included in activities, always checked in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, and consistently went the extra mile. They are a real credit to the hotel and deserve to be recognised for their dedication and fantastic attitude.
We had a wonderful holiday and are already planning to come back.
Highly recommend Valeria Dar Atlas to anyone looking for great service, great food, and an unforgettable experience.
- U5498KQjackk (10/5): Great hotel - Great staff, great food selection, clean rooms staff very attentive around the pool and with the evening entertainment
