Guest Reviews
- Nicola (10/5): Excellent - The hosts were super friendly, the bed was really comfortable. Really powerful shower and close to everything would highly recommend. Nothing
- Martina (8/5): -
- Christine (10/5): Home from home. - Breakfast excellent. Good shower in room.
Location close to amenities and also on a bus route. No problem parking.
Spotless throughout the property Nothing at all. Everything good.
- Florence (10/5): Outstanding and homely - Comfort and cleanliness were second to none. The facilities were in the best of order - not a bit of limescale in the bathroom and piping hot water always available. It was like the ensuite had just been fitted. Excellent quality bed linen and comfortable large single bed. Short walk to the beach front and away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy bits but close enough to walk there. Hard to think of anything! If I had to find something it would be that the shower cubicle was a little snug!
- Dawn (10/5): Will go back again - Looks lovely from the font flowers amazing Very nice and clean
- Michelle Lorraine may (10/5): Excellent - Helen and Geoff were so friendly. Catered for all our needs. Nothing was no trouble. Was like staying with family.
Clean,comfortable. Nothing
- Shane (10/5): Ver well looked after - It had everything I needed. It was very clean and the room was comfortable. Breakfast excellent Nothing
- Smith (10/5): - Great breakfast We found the whole stay to be a great experience. The host s were brilliant we had nothing to complain about
- Alan (10/5): -
- Jo (8/5): Pleasant weekend in Great Yarmouth - Fabulous location, plenty of parking and the owners were very welcoming and attentive. Room was very warm, due to the weather. We did have a fan that did help a little.
- Linda (10/5): Great B&B - Helen and Jeff were great hosts. We had a few reservations about parking before our break, but we parked easily each day. Lovely selection for breakfast and very nicely presented. All rooms were spotless. Would not hesitate recommending the accommodation to anyone. Thanks for a lovely break.
- Anthony (10/5): Tony. Barbara. - Clean ,comfortable, good hosts, pleasant stay, would go back. Quiet place, easy bus routes. All was good, nothing to dislike.
- James (10/5): - Location to our main reason for visit but also within walking distance of beach and what Yarmouth had to offer. Quiet location and parking on street right outside.
- DAVID (9/5): A good bed and breakfast experience. - Very comfortable room.
Good breakfast.
Owners very friendly and welcoming.
Free parking close by.
Good location for both the town centre and racecourse.
Close to sea front
- june (10/5): Helen and Jeff are fantastic hosts, spotlessly clean everyway. Can't wait to go back. - The location, it was in the middle of everything ( racecourse, town, beach). Nothing i can think of.
- C (1/5): Noisy, painful, felt abused & discriminated against. - Quietish area, better beach end. Felt totally un-welcome & felt mistreated & abused after initial check in and the staff going through their routine.
The room was good size, it was clean, but extremely noisy, boiling hot beyond anything, the fan just cycled oven hot air.
The room downstairs bathroom fan is damaged & caused the room to vibrate so loud that it caused painful personal injury to my hearing, when you get into bed, the vibration was even louder, like having a lawn mower in the pillow.
It was agonising painful to try sleep with the noise and the bed was also very rock hard painful, and caused back aches. The bedding smelled too much of soap powder which causes allergy reaction, making it hard to breathe. Bathroom extremely tiny, as many are like washing in a cupboard.
I asked the staff for help about the fan causing me pain, they said nothing they can do at all... When simply asking the other guests to turn it off, instead of leaving it going while they was in and out, wasting electric, causing disturbance, & further damages to the fan. Which is way past it's MTBF. That would have been very easy to to do, and simple but no, they didn't care about guest health or safety.
I went to breakfast, & felt abused by the staff lady, she then went off to cook. The breakfast was little but ok, i left quickly as their talking, made me feel like i was being bullied or discriminated against, for being disabled.
I've been to over 2,300 hotels, never experienced feeling that afraid to even ask for help. They even slip papers under the door to harass you to leave, & at breakfast again, very rudely saying you only have an hour to get out, did you read my note i put under your door? it was like being bullied. I went back up to finish packing, and as i come out the room, the man was very rude agaib, and i left, thinking, i will never go back there, far too dangerous and unfriendly.

Helen n jeff were brilliant hosts will definitely return with my family next time.
- Peter (9/5): Great value, friendly service. I would definitely stay there again. - Very friendly and welcoming. Lovely breakfast. The only thing I didn’t like and it’s very minor was the orange juice at breakfast.
- cheesy1911 (10/5): - Lovely friendly couple who gave us a nice warm welcome . B and B was lovely and clean , great breakfast and nice hot powerful shower . Nothing.

- Antony (10/5): Would go back - Lovely area and lovely people that own it would go again How big our room was
- Debby (8/5): - Helen and Jeff were lovely. Made us welcome and very helpful. Clean facilities. Good breakfast. Nice room with big bed. Really need to put a mirror at dressing table though so you can see to do your hair and makeup.
- Clover (10/5): Little get away - Helen & Jeff were very welcoming, we felt comfortable from the off,
Whole property was clean, tidy and well kept.
Bedroom had exactly what we needed and when we needed a top up of sugar/tea bags for the room these were provided pretty much right away.
Breakfast was lovely and a good variety.
Overall an amazing experience, definitely a 10/10 from us. .
- Roy (9/5): Good B & B guest house, run by a lovely couple, very enjoyable stay. Very clean, very good breakfast, thanks to Helen - Nice bedroom, TV in the room, good shower, hair dryer, tea, coffee, milk & sugar in the room. Bar downstairs. Helen and Jeff the owners are lovely friendly people. The breakfast was lovely. Nothing too much travel.
They are friendly people in a good location, 20 minutes walk into the town centre and 5 minutes walk to the sea front. Nothing all good.
- Deborah (10/5): -
- Hollie (10/5): -
- Whiffen (10/5): A great few days spent. - The location was just great. My room was very cosy and warm.... it had a great hot shower, good CH and a comfortable mattress. The area was quiet and parking was available in the road. Helen and Jeff are lovely people and I felt immediately at home. And each morning I had a tasty cooked breakfast: delicious. Nothing. All was fine.
- Nicola (9/5): Great experience!! - Owners very friendly and welcoming great knowledge of the area room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast very filling good local ingredients and included in the price. Great B&B Nothing
- Martin (10/5): Good value I would use it again - Excellent breakfast. Good hosts
- Freddie (10/5): Very happy, will stay again if in the area. - Clean, quiet and friendly atmosphere. All was good, maybe bed a bit more comfy but slept well enough.
- alan (9/5): Clean and comfortable, hosts were happy to help and kept me informed. - Breakfast was good and fresh. Bed mattress was a little too soft and worn, as it was giving way in the middle.
Would have liked a bit more choice on the breakfast menu and a longer serving time.
- Sheila (9/5): We had a lovely relaxing time at Maluth and if we go to GY again we'd go back there - Our hosts, Helen and Jeff prewarned us of a road closure due to gas works which they weren't obliged to do and made us feel very welcome on arrival and during our stay. The room was lovely and clean with a comfy bed. The only thing we would have liked were two bucket type chairs in the room. There were two dining chairs but these certainly weren't comfortable for sitting in for more than half an hour - so we had to resort to lying on the bed - we prefer to sit in a comfy chair.
That's just our preference not necessarily a criticism.
- Tracey (8/5): Spotless rooms … friendly owners … free parking right outside - This property is spotless .. the bed was super comfortable… parked for free right outside property… excellent Nothing to dislike
- Duncan (8/5): Very well looked after thank you - Breakfast very good but would liked to have chosen the selection each day No chair in the room
- James (9/5): Excellant location for my work in Salisbury Road 2 minute drive - Had continental breakfast all good Nothing
- Rachel (10/5): - Helen & Jeff are the perfect hosts in every way, very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
The property is extremely well maintained in all areas, it is spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a perfect stay.
Our room number 5 was very quiet and the bed was super comfortable, the shower is powerful and hot.
Breakfast was outstanding and served in a friendly dining area where you are welcomed each morning by the friendly hosts. The atmosphere is amazing. The location is perfect for the beach, town and restaurants.
I highly recommend this place and will certainly be returning.
- Rosemary (10/5): - Delicious breakfast. Comfortable bed and great shower

- Wendy (10/5): Highly recommended - Jeff and Helen are wonderful hosts, warm, friendly, and welcoming. Maluth is spotlessly clean, room lovely with a comfortable bed. Shower hot and spacious. Breakfast was super yummy. Thank you for a relaxing few days. Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Great location. Great hosts. Lovely breakfast .All good - Great location. Great hosts. Lovely breakfast.
- Darren (10/5): A very comfy stay. - We found the hotel to be very comfortable. The owners were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely, the bed was very comfy and even the shower worked very well, which we have found isn't the norm. On a hot day the 20 minute walk to town and back was a pain. But not that bad.
- mike (10/5): - The host were very welcoming, breakfast was amazing, was very comfortable and clean, the shower was 10 out of 10, was nice and quite, and was good parking outside or very close to, would recommend and definitely would stay again if up that way again, very good value for money Nothing could not fault anything,
- Steven (10/5): Don't miss out. - Jeff & Helen are great hosts friendly and very , was a bother for them Jeff carried my bag to my room. The room was spacious for a single room ,shower was great instant hot water did not have to wait for it to warm up .bed was very comfortable .had a great night's sleep .the breakfast, what can I say excellent 😋. This place is better than some 4star hotels i have stayed in. Don't miss out I have no complaints
- Rizwan (10/5): - Such a wonderful place to stay, Helen and Jeff made us feel so welcome, they are so friendly and helpful and had lots of info about the area.
The location is amazing, only a short walk to a quiet beach and little bit of a longer walk to the main beach.
The lodge and room was so clean and comfortable, you will not be disappointed with the shower (plenty of pressure and heats up in seconds)
The included breakfast was fantastic.
I can only say that if you are undecided on whether you should book your stay here, just book it! You will not be disappointed.
- Rachael Shirley (10/5): Maluth lodge - The owners are lovely Can't complain about anything at all

- carol (10/5): - Very convenient for the racecourse. Very comfortable room and bed. Excellent breakfast. Great hosts.
- Neil S UK (9/5): Geat value, spacious, friendly stay for exploring Norfolk, Suffolk and the Broads - Helen and Geoff were friendly and helpful. I accidentally booked a room on the top floor for a parent but on arrival Helen offered to move us to a lower floor for less stairs. Rooms 3 and 8 were very clean and had new fittings. Showers were hot and powerful. Sinks were big. Plenty of tea/coffee etc. Comfy big beds, on the softer side. Big breakfast. Bar available in evening. Good value for money. Only gripe was car parking - there is on-street parking directly outside, but can be full in evening. There is a free overflow overnight car park behind the Morrisons, which is pretty close but doesn't feel very safe as minimal lighting and hidden
- Laurence (10/5): - Like home away from home. Helen & Jeff were amazing and looked after us very well. Made us a fantastic breakfast and gave us lots of recommendations in the area.
- Stephen (10/5): Brilliant stay with amazing hosts - Absolutely amazing stay. The rooms were very clean and the hosts catered to our every need. There was a good choice for breakfast and we were given exactly what we asked for. The dining area was light and airy. The rooms were very comfortable and had everything you'd need in them. The whole guest house was very clean and nicely decorated. It was in a great location - away from the crowds and noise but within easy walking distance of the town. If you didn't want to walk the Clipper bus stopped at the bottom of the road. No problem with on road parking. We would have no hesitation in staying at Maluth Lodge again We have no negative comments.

The room was very clean and the large double bed very comfortable. The facilities were all we could ask for, and the full English breakfasts we ordered each day were exceptional! The room was very fairly priced, being on the second floor, which was not a problem to us. So, all in all, a very enjoyable stay. Thank you, Geoff and Helen for being such excellent hosts.

The rooms were extremely clean, bed linen and towels exceptionally clean.
Tea area very well stocked and also very clean. Couldn't ask for more.
- Brian (10/5): Mine Hosts, Helen & Jeff gave a great warm welcome. Went above and beyond to ensure that we were well looked after. - Attractive frontage, very clean throughout, tastefully furnished. Nothing to dislike however, I felt that a grab rail in the shower would have been useful.

Good location, a morrisons express and pub on the corner on your doorstep. Bus stops just up the road if you didn't want to walk up to the town centre. Easy parking on the road.
Would definitely go back again.
