- Peggy (10/5): - Lamplighter Bed and Breakfast is a clean and cozy b&b in downtown Ludington. My husband and I stayed there for one night prior to our departure on the S. S. Badger. We were welcomed upon arrival and given a brief tour and needed information regarding our stay. Restaurant recommendations were given and were spot on. After dinner we came back and relaxed in the common area with a glass of wine. Early the next morning we were delighted to experience an absolutely delicious breakfast!!! Such a nice treat before our trip. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the beautiful backyard and gazebo due to the weather, but it’s lovely. We would definitely book again.

The hosts were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The property itself is beautifully restored, with five guest rooms that are well-maintained and very clean. The bed was really comfortable, and we loved the common spaces, both indoors and outdoors—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Breakfast was a real treat, freshly prepared by the hosts. They served two courses, with one being a delicious hot quiche with sausages from the local butcher and fresh salad on the side. We appreciated that they asked about any allergies or preferences ahead of time. Plus, having tea and coffee available all day was a nice touch. Overall, it was an amazing place to stay in Ludington. We are looking forward to coming back and staying longer next time! If you’re looking for a cozy, welcoming spot in Ludington, we highly recommend this B&B.

Everything was clean and well-maintained. Room was well-lit with comfortable bed and pillows. No refrigerator but a refrigerator was available outside the room. Coffee, tea and snacks available at all times in the dining room. Delicious breakfast prepared and served on the patio by the host. The Inn was located in a quiet residential area. Wonderful B&B experience; I would definitely stay here again.

- Lindy (10/5): Skip the hotels - You will not be disappointed in your stay at this wonderful B and B. This is our second time staying here. The hosts are so kind and caring. They will go out of their way to help and accommodate your needs. If you have a restrictive diet, Jennifer is careful to help with those needs. The Inn itself is old and charming. The mix of old and new is just right. Our room, the carpenter room, is one of the smaller rooms, but we did not spend a lot of time in the bedroom. We were in the area to see family. There are several other places you can sit and relax in in the Inn, as well as seating outdoors. Dan, Jennifer`s husband, is also so helpful and he makes a great waiter! Together they make a great team.

Very clean!! They use only unscented laundry soaps, so if you are very sensitive to perfumes, this is the place to go. If you like antiques, they have many. The Inn itself is so interesting with all the detailed woodwork. Our room had a window unit ac, I was a little concerned that it would be noisy when the air kicked in, but it was not, at all. Made for a nice white noise. We would definitely stay here again! Close to the city beach & the downtown area.

The gourmet breakfast was amazing both days and is the reason you should spend a little more to stay here rather than a hotel. This house is gorgeous inside and out and full of fun things to look at.
