The number of stairs to reach each floor, and no elevator was not clear when the booking was made. We had no issues with it but some might. 2. In a world where credit or debit is common, the hotel policy of cash only made it difficult to support their restaurant. I think they lose business that way.

Como tal no tiene estacionamiento, pero afuera del hotel siempre hay un lugarcito para estacionarte. Demasiadas escaleras y con el calor pues es agotador,pero digo, si regreso pediría habitación de las de abajo. Un poco tedioso estar configurando la televisión cada que la usas. Las camas cómodas pero creo que podrían mejorar En la limpieza tienen que mejorar ,no tienen organización solo una vez me hicieron la habitación.

The area around seems very sketchy but the hotel itself is quite nice and the view is great! The restaurant food and service is excellent as well. We are very happy with our choice of Villa del Pescador.

They had coffee as well which was a great addition. When we were leaving, the staff didn't pay attention to us anymore. They didn't even helped us with your luggage only when we arrived. Plus we were thirsty and we ask for a bottle of water because our room had free waters but were gone. They didn't give us courtesy waters, they charged us. Restaurant was ok, the food was cold. Plus there were alot of stairs. It will be nice to have an elevator.

- Lynn (8/5): Beautiful view. - I really LOVED the view and since this was a quick one night stay it was amazing to wake up to the bay view in the early morning. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Not recommended for someone having a lot of luggage, as there are many many flights of stairs. I was really looking forward to the bathtub and taking a bath but the jacuzzi jets were horribly dirty and moldy with black scum inside of the jet parts, easily cleaned out with a good scrub brush to get it clean.....i was extremely disappointed to not be able to take a bath after a long flight and arriving late at night. The bathtub was the main reason I booked this room so being disappointed this was was a bummer.

The down side was the reception area needs a little work and more welcoming in looks. There were lots of stairs from street to our 4th floor room. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path. Not close to Calle Adelita or La Ropa areas. Not too bad of a walk into town though. Great place if you are looking for a quiet stay and don’t mind stairs.

Was not informed it was only cold water and the sun could not warm it up as it was covered by a roof. First 3 days had issue with no hot water to the room. It was luke warm only and due to my persistance they managed to get hot water to the room. Mature couples staying there, the villas are on the side of a steep hill. To the 2nd floor it was 65 steps and there is 4 levels. The safe does not work in the room they tried numerous times to fix it with no joy and they gave up. Was not value for money.

- Charles (6/5): It was nice enough, but unlikely to revisit - The view was great, and the coffee was good. I appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities. The air conditioning worked really well, and kept us comfortable. I also liked the fact that were given plenty of bottled water and the fridge was a good size as well. Also, the bedding is all new when you arrive - including the cover. It's thin, but does the job. The cleaning products and paints are terrible for people with chemical sensitivities. It's essentially constant, but only outside of your room. It would have been nice for more consistency with providing coffee, sugar, tea and water daily, so we didn't have to continually ask. Shampoos and soaps are non-useable, so had to buy our own. The flight of stairs was killer. Just something to consider if you're older. The food was average at best. Two restaurants under a one-minute walk have significantly better food, so they have to step up the game here.

We didn’t eat much at the hotel but a couple of restaurants just next door were excellent and the shops and restaurants of Centro Zihuatanejo are a short 10 minute walk away. Only drawback is music noise from the city projects loudly at night towards the hotel and the poolside music was also too loud at times however staff did turn it down when asked. I would recommend staying here.

- Mark (9/5): We would return. - The location was perfect; very close to Zissou Divers. It was also any easty walk into the centre of town. The staff were exceptional and the food in the restaurant was of a high standard. There were too many stairs.

- Rdcj (8/5): Unique family run hotel overlooking the city & bay, 10 min walk from tourist district & boardwalk - View of the bay, boats & city lights was nice. The poolside dining area was very convenient, and prices reasonable. Family run unique hotel built into the hillside overlooking the city & the bay. About 10 min walk down a quiet cobblestone road to the boat dock, main tourist district and boardwalk. The family & staff who run this hotel are very kind, attentive & accommodating. Pack lightly because there are a lot of stairs in this hotel... .. plus the road to the hotel is rock/cobblestone so not somewhere you'd pull your suitcase along for a couple blocks. Sadly the hotel has a neighboring property that was once a gas station, and they won't take down their old metal awning over the abandoned pumps... its a bit of a rusty eyesore to the right edge of the otherwise beautiful view of the bay. I feel sorry for the hotel owners, because they've tried over the years to get the old awning removed but with no luck.
