Guest Reviews
- Cecelia (2/5): - Room was trashy. No seat on the toilet. Absolutely disgusting hotel
- Jason (2/5): - I booked though expedia. Got here couldn't check in. No one would answer the door or phone. Got to the property and was kind of relieved i didn't stay. To many shady character's walking around. Trashy as well.
- Daniel (2/5): - I had 2 rooms reserved. Drove 3 hours to find they only had 1 room for me and it was in need of maintenance. They do not hold rooms for you and when you show up they make the excuse that if you don't like the room you don't have to pay. Very run down and sketchy. DO not recommend.
- ali (2/5): - We arrived at 5:45pm and the office was locked. Knocked, rang the bell and Waited for 40 minutes and called the manager's number but no answsr. We knocked on the side door several times, dogs barking but no answer!!! We talked to a couple of tennants but they could not help us. We had to go to another hotel. Very inconvenient especially after driving 10 hours to get there. We would like a refund please.
- Steven (2/5): - I booked through Expedia, but when I arrived I was turned away, along with another couple who had also booked through Expedia, to figure out what to do in BFE at nightfall with no room. Check the reviews, this is a common occurrence here. The manager even pointed to a sign on the wall stating that if you booked through Expedia and they don't have a room for you, you will not be charged so no refund is due. Draw your own conclusions.
- Margarita (8/5): It's nice - To be honest.. it was good just for a night... Quiet... Everything was working ... I arrived at 2 am and lady at the front desk was sweet and polite. I wish I could rate it higher, but unfortunately I can't ... The place is old... But clean and no bed bugs or any other creatures.
- Spencer (4/5): - I actually didn't stay here because they could not fulfill my reservation. Yes, it was reserved through Expedia, but the receptionist said the motel was only for weekly reservations for "workers," but the app description did not say any of that. Luckily, I was able to find a better hotel for that night.
- Lydia (8/5): - Excelente,muy buena la atención
- Virginia (2/5): - Could not find my reservation. Could not book a room at this hotel. Had to find another hotel.
- Berta (8/5): - Older motel. It could do with a deep cleaning. At least take care of the cobwebs. Maybe fly traps when rooms are not in use. Great shower water pressure.
- nathan (2/5): - This place is terrifying.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They had no room
- Kandace (4/5): Very disappointed.!! - My sheets had not been washed, and there was someone elses socks in the bed. Plus alot of hair. Blood on the curtain. Front of toilet was clean , but if you put the lid down, there was urine on the back. The corners of the room had dirt and cobwebs. The management seemed nice, said they wouldnt charge me. But then it showed up on my credit card statement. Would not recommend this place to anyone, until some major changes happen
- mlp (2/5): - the facility was obviously empty of customers but the entire facility was falling apart with broken doors, trim, parking lot, debris laying about and no interest of helping anyone
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The rooms were very small and outdated. The room also smelled like bug spray.
- Aney (2/5): - I like the name of the hotel the rest of it was horrible they were redoing the roof while I was there it was very loud messy could not rest during the day could not park in front of our room woke us up the next morning at 7 in the morning to move our car cuz they were going to start working on the roof and that was on a Sunday I needed the rest I needed to sleep so I could finish my driving not possible at this place they did not give you enough towels for two people and you got a half a roll of toilet paper if you want it more you had to purchase it they didn't understand English very well yeah don't ring the doorbell and they hollered reservations and then they open the door homeless people out front digging in the ashtrays for cigarette butts I just think that the lady that works in the office can get out and maybe use a broom and sweep a little bit pull a couple weeds maybe hang a picture on the wall the refrigerator made the loudest horrible is noise all night
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Office staff was not very helpful with check in process. Kept asking if we would like to cancel our reservation and go somewhere else so made us a little skeptical. Kept asking what time we were leaving and what time we would be back. Was told that we would be woken up at 6am because they will be working on the room. Very uncomfortable stay.
- susan (6/5): Bare bones but doable. - The building and rooms are old, and in need of some repair.
The furnishings on the other hand, are great. The bed was comfortable, and there is a nice table and chair, and a great TV.
The bathroom is tiny, the loo works - though a little close to the ground for my large husband.
The lady and young lad at the front desk were delightful.
I would say this motel is best described as being 'bare bones', and I wouldn't rush back. but it served our needs. well
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Old property but so what?
Staff was extremely gracious -
Amenities included a frig and microwave w/out extra charge!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A basic location with minimal amenities. Some of the facilities need upkeep and cleaning to be fully restored for guest use.
- LuLu (10/5): - Great for the money! The staff was kind and accommodating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Quant and nostalgic hotel option - Potential customers should understand that this is a nostalgic old facility built in 1951. It doesnt pretend to be updated or modernized. It has quaint little hotel rooms and bathrooms that were affordable luxuries in the 50’s. The room was fine, the wifi worked fine. The window air conditioner worked fine. Front desk staff were friendly. The lady spoke more spanish than English and so her son helped as we checked in - worked for me.
- John (6/5): Low cost - This is a bare bones no thrills Motel strait out of the 1950's. Clean, firm bit comfortable bed at a super low price. Owners are pleasant, very clean and I like it for cost and location.
- Owen (4/5): You get what you pay for. - Very, very cheap, and the room reflected that. The parking lot looks to be in a horrible state, and the rooms look like they have not been updated for decades. The room was reasonably clean, but the ceiling had some pretty serious looking water damage and the carpet was in very bad shape. The management seems to do a good job with what they have, but what the place really needs a renovation. It was both the cheapest and worst hotel room I've ever stayed in.
- larry (10/5): - very very very clean
- Bryan (6/5): - building is in major need of updating and repair. The owner was nice and helpful.
- Marie Elizabeth (8/5): Clean and Friendly - Did the job. Clean, no frills. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - OLD facility, amateur updates. Small room, adequate appointments. Bed marginal. Warm and friendly staff. Cheap, but you get what you pay for.
- davee (6/5): Clean but not flash - First impressions not ideal but read on. Room TINY but clean. Smells fresh. A bit rough in finish. Linen clean and good quality. Aircon worked well. Shower clean but mismatched sealant colours may appear like mould. No tea making but has fridge and microwave. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Not a place for the fussy. For this price a cheap stopover.
- ROBERT (4/5): Can't Believe this Hotel would be on Hotels.com - This is a very old run down roadside motel. Rooms very small, papers stuffed in the edges around the door for the connecting room. Bathroom floor nailed down and heavely stained.
No pillows, you are suppose to use the pillows, that are the bedspread shames. Bedspread material on one side and pillow case material on the other. Small Refrigerator had had thing Frozen and busted and refrozen. Shower only had no place to place a bar of soap or shampoo. Toilet paper roll was almost empty. It took several minute of running water to get any warm water. Many visible patches in the walls and ceiling. No place to lay a suit case or other items, except on the floor.
We stayed 2 nights. To our surprise, no room service. Beds unmade, towels still on the floor and no new one. Toilet paper now empty. Went to the office rMg the door bell, got someone to finally come to the locked door at 6pm. Asked for fresh towels and toilet paper. When the lady brought them to the room, she asked what we did with the ones we had.
The Mexican Couple when we checked in, we're very polite. Unfortunately this roadside Motor Inn, could not meet up to even the minimum standards of a 1 star Motel.
I still wonder why Hotels.com would have this on their site. There is a much nicer motel 2 blocks away.
I should have been a little concerned about the sign in the office, that said, "NO REFUNDS"
The name "Pillow Talk Motel" should be changed to "No Tell Motel"
- Creed (8/5): Good for the price - I saw lots of negative reviews on this place, but it's $30 a night! It's old and dirty, but for $30 a night, it's perfect. It has heat, hot water, a TV, a fridge, microwave, and a bed. I would stay again.
- Terry (6/5): Cheap hotel with cheap amenities - Room was what I needed: a bed, a shower, and satellite television. It was clean but bathroom was very small and rough in quality. The refrigerator was not turned on and smelled like mildew. But the staff/owners were very friendly!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Small town motel. - This place is OK if you absolutely have no where else to go Staff was very nice!
- Deborah (4/5): Don't stay here - It looked like people were living in several of the rooms. They sat outside of the rooms & smoked. The people made me feel uneasy/unsafe. The one patch of grass was right outside our room. It reeked of pet urine. The room was fair sized. The bathroom was tiny. There was no counter, just the sink. When we took our shower the next morning, there was no hot water. The office was locked up, so we were unable to report this problem.
- Carolyn (4/5): Vacation - Rooms could use serious updating. The rate was cheap and sometimes you get what you pay for.
- Verified traveler (2/5): OLD DIRTY DUSTY lady's underwear found in room 114 - We already knew this is an old hotel, but we did not expect to find a old dirty dusty lady's underwear right between the mattress and headboard. Sleeping on this bed was pretty disgusting!! Stinky fridge that we did't want to use and no microwave in the room at all.
- Lakin (8/5): Cute! - It was overall a decent stay, the owners were very nice. The room was pretty small, but I wasnt excepting much because the price was low and I just needed a place for the night.
- Jan (8/5): A good night's sleep - Old fashioned motel, but very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- John (6/5): No frills stop - This is a truly budget motel from the 1950s. No thrills but clean with tv good WIFI and no real bells and whistles. Laundry is available and restaurant a couple of blocks away.
- Anne (2/5): In Need of Renovation - The hotel was pretty run-down. The window would not stay open, the toilet was too low and the toilet seat was sliding off to the side, the shower valves were wobbly. However, everything worked. There was a strong smell like moth balls coming up from the carpet during the night.
- Thomas (8/5): - A no frills motel but priced very well with a hospitable staff.
