Staff was very inviting and friendly. The staff was prepared with ice packs and bandages. For anyone who needed them after the spartan race It was perfect.

Great food and super nice staff and owner! My only issue was a lack of plugs for our electronic devices. Maybe a power strip would have been nice.

- Zuhoski (10/5): Skip any other hotel and come here! - My partner and I loved Inn on the River. They were accommodating to our two small dogs and were just steps from the river. We usually drive (and sometimes pay) for river access parking, but there was no need to even move the car from here. The room was cute and clean, and the rest of the inn was well maintained and inviting. Breakfast was delicious! We were also able to order food and drinks from the restaurant to enjoy while sitting on the lawn overlooking the river. We drive down from Dallas a couple times a year and will most definitely be back.

The cool breezes under the shade trees near the water were the perfect place to sit and read or just watch the water go by. Staff was so accomodating and helpful. Rooms were large and quiet.

The food is outstanding and there is a game and puzzle closet available, that also includes a few books. A word of advice: the stairs to the second floor are in excellent condition, but if climbing stairs isn’t for you - request a downstairs room. We were unaware of this when making our reservation, but they were able to move us to a ground-level room. Highly recommend

- Kathy or John (10/5): Love the history of this Inn - what a great place to stay so centrally located in the middle of the main street of Glen Rose. Very friendly staff, very comfortable and homey, the backyard right on the river is amazing. But it is an inn, built I think in the early 1900s. Therefore if you are on the second floor you are going to be going up the stairs. Something to think about for older people, or if you have a lot of luggage.

But more importantly, Pam is very giving and has offered help to many in need especially during COVID. She also knows alot about the community and answered many questions that we had. We loved hearing her stories!

Breakfast every morning was a delight and the tavern/restaurant was outstanding! No tv in the small rooms but it was not missed and there’s WiFi if you must. The town of Glen Rose is quaint and lovely. So if you find yourself looking for a place to stay in the area, I’d definitely recommend Inn OnThe River.

- Adrianne (10/5): - This place has so much history and the aesthetic is subtle and pleasing to the eye. It has a slight rustic feel, and each room has a guest book with entries as far back as 1994. The owner is very kind and accomodating, she has two of the sweetest pups living there, and her menu changes daily. Breakfast is included with the stay and for lunch and dinner there is a tavern that shares the same property as the inn and it overlooks the river. This is definitely going to be one of our go-to places from now on.

- Sabrina (10/5): A wonderful stay at a true B&B - I absolutely loved our time here at a real B&B. It feels like what they used to be and should be but so hard to find these days. Family friendly staff and hospitality with a beautiful cooked breakfast. The room was comfortable, the loungers by the lake was the perfect spot to relax with a book. It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway from Dallas which is exactly what I wanted. I really hope to visit again someday.

- Susan (10/5): Perfect Get Away - This place was AMAZING! The house is actually a historical marker. Great story behind it. It’s 105 years old so it creaks ALL. THE. TIME. But I thought that just added charm. Very quiet and peaceful. The staff were so friendly. They allow dogs but I didn’t see one hair on anything. Rooms are small but just perfect for 1 or 2 people. They probably have bigger rooms, I’m just describing mine. Breakfast is part of the price and ya’ll…it was 5 star worthy! Big portions and not at all what I was expecting. There is even a tavern behind it. Right on the river and very central to downtown.

We liked the creativity with breakfast and of course we thoroughly enjoyed the mystery murder dinner fun. Oh! We also walked several times along the river and saw plenty of beauty. I would recommend that you keep hot water available for tea drinkers and perhaps some light snacks such as fruit, crackers, etc. in the dining area. When we travel with children these special touches sure come in handy!

- Michael (10/5): Inn on The River is a wonderful place to stay in this quaint Texas town. - The innkeeper and her staff were outstanding. They made us feel welcome from the very start. The facility is truly pet friendly is very well maintained.
