• Adam (10/5): - The hotel is right on the corner of Taitung, but since it's easily walkable, it's close to good restaurants and bars. Very close to the beach. Some kids were launching small fireworks outside, but it was barely audible, so I'd say the the room is very quiet. Nice bathroom, good beds. Fantastic view of the ocean. The breakfast was very good, lots of choices. Convenient and free parking in the underground garage. The staff was very nice. I liked the floor to ceiling windows in the hallway and the overall atmosphere of the hotel.

• Oliver (10/5): Great place to stay to enjoy Taitung's great waterfront and parks - I had read a few reviews that described the staff as indifferent and I was worried that maybe I made a mistake booking a 2-night stay at this hotel. I'm happy to say that staff was exceptional. Despite my limited Mandarin, the staff made sure I understood that there were complimentary snacks all day in the lobby. They helped me with the laundry machines. Then they encouraged my wife and I to borrow one of the free bicycles and take a tour of the local parks, which we happily did. ( I should note that some of the other reviewers pointed out that the bikes are old and not in great shape. I was happy that they were free, and the hotel had dozens to choose from.) The room we had was terrific, with amazing views. The room also had great air conditioning and the bed was comfortable. There are great restaurants nearby, try Lin's Dumplings or C'est La Vie Bakery. Some people didn't like how the hotel was located on the edge of town. I thought that was great because we wanted to take advantage of both the Seaside and Forest park.

• Boon Kiat (9/5): happy stay - Room was neat and clean. Breakfast was above basic, choice a little limited but adequate for most travellers. Staff are friendly and helpful. Checkin was smooth, so is check out process, fast and simple. Improve with more breakfast selection.
