There was no elevator, so we had to carry our luggage up to the second floor ourselves. The hotel feels very outdated. On top of that, we were charged unexpected taxes that were not clearly disclosed in advance. Overall, not worth the cost.

- Stefanie (6/5): - Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und es war sehr warm. Leider hat die Buchung über Expedia überhaupt nicht funktioniert. Es hat über eine halbe Stunde gedauert bis wir in unser Zimmer konnten. Das Frühstück ist auch nichts besonderes. Auf einen Kaffee muss man lange warten, da es keine Selbstbeteiligung gibt. . Dafür fand ich es zu teuer.

L’une des chambre n’a pas été faite, pas de remplacement de la bouteille d’eau, chambres franchement très anciennes et propreté plus que limite (joints de salle de bains moisis…). Je passe sur le petit déjeuner chaotique (pas de pain, de viennoiserie à notre arrivée et obligé de réclamer), pre paiement pas pris en compte lors de la présentation de la note et pas un mot d’excuse. Bref, à éviter !

- Andrew (8/5): - A typical French family hotel which looks as if it is ageing and is perhaps a little disappointing initially with parking opposite in a public square. However it was clean and the cuisine was extremely good. Breakfast was of a good standard and served on the opposite side of the road where the proprietors seem to have established a modern addition to the facilities.
- Inger (2/5): Dåligt - Fick ett rum på vinden, två långa trappor utan ledstänger. Den sista trappan hade korta steg så det var svårt att gå i den. Rummet var inte ok. Maten var god, jag är allergisk och talade om för servitrisen om det, men ändå var det produkter som jag inte kan äta, så jag blev sjuk på natten. Rummet som vi hade låg en bit ifrån restaurangen. Frukost var i ett hus mitt emot restaurangen. Utsikten från rummet var ett ruckel av en gammal lada och ladugård och trasiga tak.

Difficulté à trouver l'accueil de l'hôtel, la façade sur la route c'est l'entrée restaurant, l'hôtel est sur le côté et malgré tout l'accueil est tout de même côté restaurant , faut s'y retrouver ... avec une indication visuelle ce serait peut être plus facile pour les clients. Personnel très accueillant et souriant. Literie un peu dur mais nous sommes tous différents cela plaira certainement à d'autres. Seul bémol c'est l'absence de climatisation et nous ne sommes qu'au mois de juin, il faisait chaud dans la chambre même fenêtre ouverte, le débit d'eau dans la douche est faible. Petit déjeuner varié apprécié.

Whilst we did not eat at the restaurant the menu was good and represented fair value for money those eating when we collected our key were in good cheer.

Juste une note en termes d'eco-responsabilité, et ce nest pas lié à cet établissement en particulier: il est urgent que les hôtels du monde entier cessent de proposer un remplacement des serviettes de bain tous les jours. PERSONNE n'a besoin dune nouvelle serviette tous les jours. Une fois toutes les 2 semaines est largement suffisant!

Excellent condition large room with good bathrooms. I didn't eat there at all. A little pricey but there's not much alternative nearby. The town and area don't seem to have much to offer

- Edwina (10/5): Cheval Rouge - We stayed here en route to Chanel Tunnel, it's very convenient for the A4 Autoroute. The Cheval Rouge is a simple hotel, we stayed in the annexe over the road which was great, simple but great.The restaurant and wine list are far better than you would expect in this level of hotel. The breakfast is limited but more than enough for a flying visit.They are also very welcoming to dogs!

We stayed here on the way to Frankfurt and really enjoyed the comfortable room. It looked newly renovated, was in perfect condition, and the price was very reasonable. We arrived on a Sunday evening and all stores were closed, so we went to the pizza place just down the street (the only place open) and had an excellent pizza with beer. I highly recommend this hotel!

Clean, spacious, well equipped. Excellent service from staff. We ate a The brasserie which was a really good meal - if a little pricey - it was well worth it.

- Lewis (8/5): Nice modern facilities, but close to noisy road - Very nice modern room and facilities. Unfortunately no aircon so had to leave window open and the room was next to a busy main road through town so that at around 5:30am we were woken by traffic noise. Great breakfast (not included)
- Jon (8/5): Immaculate room but noisy - Our room in the new wing was ultra modern and immaculate, however the noise from big lorries going past, not to mention a 5am bin collection, was horrendous. The buildings on the narrow road amplify the noise to the extent I got virtually no sleep, which I badly needed after a 9 hour drive. That said, I couldn't fault the staff and the location was good. Try and get a room without main road frontage and you won't go wrong with this hotel.
- Roger (8/5): Lovely place. - Lovely place to stay, we stayed in the annex across the road, not too hot even though there is no air conditioning, as noted in other reviews. It would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room but that's a minor detal......we would stay here again.
- Brian (10/5): A Pleasant Surprise - The place was a nice surprise. The outside looks typical French slightly old building but the room was really well appointed. Looked like it had been fairly recently overhauled. The restaurant served large tasty portions of food and the staff were very good to us with only a small language barrier. Parking was right outside in the street but extra parking is just across the road in the town square. The local town was very nice even though it straddled a busy road which was easy to cross.

- Paul (10/5): Great Logis de France - Super Logis de France. Our room was in the old building so room was dated but clean and very comfortable. Restaurant was fantastic both food and service. The wine list was extensive, but the waiting staff are very knowledgeable. A great place to stay en route, or for a few days exploring.

Our room was on street side that seemed to be the main drag in town, very busy, noisey, no a/c so needed to leave window open at night (noise issue), slanted ceiling to be aware of when getting out of bed but room was very nice, had all we needed, comfy bed. Nice restaurant for dinner & pub in front for more casual dining. Breakfast was nice. If you prefer quiet, small village atmosphere, this is not the place to stay but I can recommend it depending on your taste.

The room was lovely, clean and tidy and great value for money. Sadly we were quite late arriving so had already eaten before we arrived, so can't comment on the main restaurant. - Monika (10/5): Nice and affordable - Spent 2 nights in this hotel. Room was lovely, modern and clean. Pastry shops are just round the corner. There's also delicisious kebab on the main street and pizzeria by the river. Would definitely go back.

Our room was above the restaurant area and was very noisy in the evening also quite smoky from the cigarette smokers standing at the front door. We were not expecting the car and scooter raises at night on the Main Street.
