• David & Kristy (10/5): Exceptional Service and Warm Greek Hospitality - We really enjoyed staying here, the incredible team went above and beyond every day. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The manager, Filio, was so incredibly welcoming. She checked in on us every morning at breakfast to ensure we were enjoying our stay. Her attentiveness was wonderful. Irene in reception was so lovely and welcoming from the moment we checked in. Despina, the chef, prepared breakfast which was a highlight of our stay. She prepared an amazing variety of greek food that changed every day- it is sad to leave with such amazing breakfasts provided each morning. The housekeeper, Huria, was very friendly, kind, and helpful. The rest of the staff were also very welcoming. We really appreciate how the staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We would definitely return if we are ever in Crete again.

• Alexandra (10/5): - Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Hotel. Besonders gut hat uns unser Zimmer gefallen – wir hatten das Zimmer mit Whirlpool und haben uns dort sofort wohlgefühlt. Der Strand direkt vor dem Hotel war einfach perfekt: feiner Sandstrand, sehr sauber und mit direktem Zugang zum Meer. Das Frühstück hat uns ebenfalls begeistert – abwechslungsreich, frisch und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Auch die Kellner waren alle sehr nett und aufmerksam, sodass man sich rundum willkommen gefühlt hat. Ein besonderes Dankeschön geht an Filio und die nette Dame an der Rezeption, die nachmittags immer da war – beide waren unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit.

• irina (10/5): I chose this hotel randomly - could not have done it better - Our room had reasonable size. There was balcony with jacuzzi, sea view and table to drink complimentary wine. We enjoyed every minute staying in the hotel. Sea is just across the road - we could go to the beach any time, also hotel is walking distance to the center. Breakfast was incredibly good for such a small hotel. But the main thing was very nice attitude from EACH staff member. We were wholeheartedly helped with every problem or question by managers. Thank you, Filio and Irini.

• mikefromgraz (9/5): Stadt und Strand in perfekter Kombination - Äußerst freundliches Personal, ausgiebiges Frühstück, freie Liegen und Schirme am Strand. Das Zimmer war groß und hell mit Blick aufs Meer aus dem dritten Stock. Zu Fuß ist die Altstadt gut erreichbar, wie auch viele Lokale in der Nähe. Kein Hotelparkplatz, aber nach kurzer Suche konnten wir gleich in der Nähe einen finden.

• Gerlinde (8/5): I can recommend Ammos Suites. Rethymno Old Town is walking distance and there are many restaurants - The room was big and well layed out. What was missing were hooks to hang clothes and towels on. Breakfast could be better with more variety of bread. Beach is very close and clean and we enjoyed the lounge chairs. The music in the bar area in the day was far too loud for me. It took away the pleasure to sit and have a drink and watch the sea.

The pool is small and quite enclosed, but it does get the sun in the morning. Decent breakfast with a good choice of hot and cold buffet items. Complimentary wine and water on arrival. There are plenty of decent restaurants nearby. The walk into the old town, along the sea front, took around 25 minutes (€7 by taxi) where there were lots of other bars and eateries. We had a lovely few days. A big thank you to Filio, the manager, and all the other staff.

• Yurii (10/5): - Stylish and cozy boutique hotel on the seafront in Réthimno. We picked this hotel because of its excellent location — right in the middle of a long seafront, where we loved running and walking. The hotel has its own small beach just across the road with only 25 comfortable sunbeds which make the stay even more intimate. Guests don’t have to pay for sunbeds (but have to order one drink per person, which you do anyway if you spend time near the sea). The hotel looked very stylish and cozy. The terrace with a sea view where you could have breakfast in the morning and drinks during the whole day was amazing. There was a small swimming pool inside the hotel which was a perfect place to enjoy quiet atmosphere and relax a bit. The room was spacious, clean and stylish, with a small sofa and a balcony overlooking the sea. In addition, it was super important for us to have a peaceful and relaxing place and the hotel room had a very good sound isolation, so we didn’t hear anything happening down the street. The team of the hotel was super friendly. Filio and Irene at the front desk were always available for any kind of questions and requests . We really appreciated our warm communication, we felt like at home. The variety of food during breakfast was pretty good. You could choose from different kinds of bread and pastries, eggs, vegetables, fruit, Greek yogurt and some sweets. As the recommendation to improve — it would be great if you shouldn’t pay extra for the coffee on the bar during breakfast time (espresso, Greek coffee), as not everyone drinks black coffee that was served and included in the price. It would also be a plus if guests could receive the water in the room or at least have access to it in the hotel. In general, we had a lovely stay and can recommend this place for those who travel to Crete.

• Anna (5/5): Un mauvais rapport qualité prix - Nous avons apprécié l’emplacement de l’hôtel en face de la mer. Le petit-déjeuner sympathique et bien préparé en terrasse avec une belle vue. Le salon de la chambre était agréable à vivre. Le personnel était accueillant, aimable et réactif. L’odeur des matières fécales sortant des canalisations tous les jours à partir du soir jusqu’au matin. Un dégâts des eaux suite à l’absence du joint dans la douche et la porte qui ne se fermait pas totalement. Le mauvais fonctionnement du grille-pain, donc une longue attente au petit-déjeuner. Il se trouve qu’il y a une seule femme de chambre pour un hôtel, donc le ménage laisse à désirer. La prise murale (près de la porte d’entrée) ne tenait pas, danger d’électrocution. La fermeture de la lunette des toilettes est cassée. L’hôtel ne tient pas ses promesses au niveau standing.

• Dympna (6/5): Disappointing - Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable. On the description when we booked it said there were 2 pools. There was only one pool which was too deep for me to get into. I went because I am rehabilitating after arthritic surgery. Manager changed description to one pool after we pointd this out to her. Our room with city view was actually just a view of 5 bins and other buildings. There were no satellite channels as advertised despite manager spending an hour in our room trying to remedy that. We spent a lot of money staying here and left very dissatisfied.

Has a nice pool, bar, beach area and the rooms were very nice, with comfy bed, practical bathroom and practical storage options for your luggage. Super friendly staff. • DiTheos (10/5): 'Our' special place - We liked everything. To be more precise, we loved everything. Everything was beyond any expectation. The staff was unbelievable. We felt like home. Starting from the front desk, Filio and Irene were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. There was not a thing that we asked for and they didn't help! The bar/beach staff was great. Always pleasant and smiley. Nikos, Ioanna, Anna, Georgia, Pantelis, Markos, you are all great! Breakfast was a surprise every day. On the first day we thought 'ok, not massive, but good' and then the next day something different, and the day after, and so on. Despina (chef) was making sure that everything was top notch, delicious, fresh and plenty. Thank you!!! After breakfast, Billy (chef) was taking over. The chicken focaccia was phenomenal, and the club sandwich, and the greek salad, and... During the late hours, Giorgos (bartender) with a huge smile, had the perfect drink for our demands. Mrs Nouria was making sure that every day we had a tidy, clean and immaculate room. Did I mention about the room interior? Stylish, modern and elegant. Did I say about the mattress? The most comfortable mattress we've ever slept on. We felt in love with the bathroom. The walking shower, the double mirrors, the toiletries, the lighting, everything was perfect. I can go on and on to describe how our stay was, but I'm afraid words cannot describe it. We felt like we were staying with friends. A massive thank you to the whole team. You do an amazing job, and it feels effortless. You're genuine and definitely hospitable. Your smiles and warmth made our holidays perfect. P.s.1 The hotel team helped with our last minute idea for pre-wedding drinks, literally the very last minute. They did the decoration and had proseccos and glasses ready for our friends within minutes. P.s.2 Yes, we got married during our stay, and we celebrated my birthday too. Ammos will always be 'our' special place. If I want to be picky, I would say that the only thing that I didn't like (my husband was fine with that), was the position of the air con. The air was coming straight to the bed and I struggled a bit to find the right setting. But again, that was not a major issue. Another thing that we didn't like was the fact that we had to leave. We had two amazing weeks there.
• Tanel (9/5): Great location and warm hospitality - One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is its location – a beautiful beach is just across the road. We especially enjoyed taking a morning swim before breakfast, which was a wonderful way to start the day. The welcome was exceptionally warm and friendly, and the rooms were clean and well-maintained. Our family had mixed opinions about breakfast – some of us really enjoyed it, while others just had a croissant and fruit. However, the variety was good, so everyone could find something they liked. The only slight downside was that the rooms looked a bit older in reality than they appear in the photos. Everything was in good condition and tidy, just not quite as luxurious as expected based on the pictures.

• usaash (10/5): - Everything. Perfect 5* The Ammnos Suite was an excellent choice for our stay. The whole place was spotless and very well maintained. There is an elevator that takes you comfortably to the higher floors, and the pool was cleaned daily by the staff. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety to choose from. The location is perfect – just a few steps from the beach, where sunbeds are available with drinks if you stay at the suite. The city center is also within easy reach, about a 15-minute walk, and the inner city offers plenty of fantastic restaurants, from fancy options to cozy, homemade-style places. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing. The room was very spacious, beautifully designed, and the interior was modern and comfortable. Overall, this is definitely a five-star place – highly recommended! • Pavel (10/5): - Naprosto skvělé. Byli jsme naprosto spokojeni. Hotel přímo u pláže, příjemná střední velikost hotelu, příjemný personál, dobré snídaně. Docházková vzdálenost do centra. Určitě se rádi vrátíme.

Room was super clean and towels changed every day. All the dinner places and city center were close by walk. Stuff was super kind and helpful.

• Christine (10/5): Formidable séjour dans un hôtel design - L’hôtel Ammos est situé face a la mer , sur une grande avenue depuis Rethymno qui longue la mer . Nous n’avions pas une chambre vue mer cependant la chambre était spacieuse et design . L’accès à la piscine est un plus et il est aisé de se rendre au centre ville dé Rethymno en 20 à 30 minutes. Il est facile de trouver une place de stationnement à proximité Des volets auraient permis une meilleure occultation de l’éclairage de la ville

Utrolig hyggelig, vennlig og imøtekommende personal som er opptatt av gjestenes velvære og ønsker Privat strand med gratis solsenger rett over veien . Her kan du nyte dagen med mat og drikke servert på solsengen. Beliggenhet er også fin. Ca 15 minutters gange inn til gamlebyen. Supermarked, barer, restauranter ,minibank ligger tett i tett rundt hjørnet på hotellet. God frokost . Absolutt et hotell vi ikke ville nølt med å bo på igjen. Vi gir det våre varmeste anbefalinger.

• MG (9/5): - Die Lage des Hotels sowohl zum Strand als auch zur Stadt waren sehr gut. Das Personal an der Rezeption und im Barbereich war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Ort selbst bietet die perfekte Mischung aus Entspannung und Aktivitäten. Die Ausflüge waren einfach über das Hotel zu buchen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

• Roberto (9/5): - Ho soggiornato in questo fantastico hotel a due passi dal mare di Rethymno. Lo staff super gentile ti fanno sentire come a casa, la colazione varia ed abbondante. La mia compagna, essendo celiaca aveva dei problemi per quanto riguarda la colazione e la ragazza della reception si è subito messa a disposizione per farle trovare del pane senza glutine. Super consigliato e torneremo sicuramente perché Creta ci ha rapito il cuore. L'unica pecca è il trovare un parcheggio nei pressi dell'hotel lungomare. La stanza un po' piccola.

• MARIA (5/5): No todo es lo que parece - Diría la ubicación si quieres ir a la playa, pero porque la tienes en frente. La ubicación, a pie al centro de la ciudad estás a más de 20 min andando. El baño necesitaba una renovación, porque la ducha y los grifos estaban deteriorados, la puerta no cerraba… Para ser un hotel de 4 estrellas, creo que deberían renovar varias cosas. El aire acondicionado nos goteo desde que llegamos. Vino al día siguiente el técnico a arreglarlo, dejando la puerta de la habitación abierta (así nos la encontramos al llegar) y el aire lo pusimos y en seguida a volver a gotear… bastante decepcionada por el precio que era, la calidad del sitio.

• Anisha (9/5): Lovely place to stay in Rethymno, I would recommend and would definitely return! - Excellent location with easy access to the beach. Very helpful and friendly staff at the hotel and the hotel itself was clean and modern. The food options were the only negative for our stay. Breakfast was a bit limited and snack options at the beach too but there were plenty of restaurants to choose from close by and a supermarket next door so not a big deal.

• marotta (10/5): Our stay was perfect. We wished it had lasted longer. - The hotel’s location is excellent, Right in front of the sea, and the city center can be reached on foot. The room is well-furnished and clean. The staff is very kind and attentive. The manager is very competent and friendly. The drinks at the hotel bar are excellent, and the breakfast is plentiful.

• emel (9/5): Very nice four nights stay at Rethimno! - Our room was very comfortable. We stayed at one bedroom seaview suite. It was spacious and everything was very well thought. Bathroom, sitting room, bedroom all great. Staff was amazing. I wasn’t very fond of with the bistro. Music and the fact that it was facing the street was not exactly my taste.

• Alexandru-Cosmin (9/5): A pleasant stay with very warm hosts, we really enjoyed our time at Ammoe and would like to come back someday:) - I loved the location (right in front of the beach), the cleaning services (everything was spotlessly clean), the room was very modern and comfortable and the staff. Also I can say open hearted that this was the first accomodation which bathroom did not transform into a pool when showering, very good draining system. The room was noisy unfortunately. The property has a bar at the ground floor and they play loud music during evenings and also the noise from the street is very disturbing. Having a more efficient sound proofing of the room would have been much appreciated.
