The hand-held shower bracket is broken and needs replacing. Plus the carpets are in need of a good clean in room 207. This is my 3rd stay at salt and I could not fault the other 2 rooms. I would certainly stay again 😊

The room was clean but I am not sure what disinfectant they used but the room smelt like urine when we first walked in so I sprayed some perfume on the floor to improve the smell. A clean towel after two days and the rubbish bin emptied would be an improvement as no service was given

V5146NPnickyw (10/5): Peaceful bliss! - Yeppoon was an unexpected treasure! And staying at Salt, with a balcony overlooking the sparkling blue sea was the best treat. The view was stunning and I watched the sun rise each morning - I could have stayed on the balcony all day. Such a peaceful spot yet in the heart of the town. The room was lovely, very spacious, clean, and with everything you might need. Of the two pools, at this time of year, make sure you choose the heated one! I had a beautifully restorative stay at Salt and would definitely go back.

Super easy to check in and out and super convenient to everything in the main area of town where there are restaraunts, cafes, the beach, beauty therapies etc… a little drive or a slightly longer walk to Coles but still very close. Our room was beautiful and clean, the bed was lovely and comfortable. The kitchen had all the utensils two people would need for a few days or longer to make your own meals comfortably - including a full size fridge. Would definitely stay here again.

HappyJambo (10/5): Great apartments - On holiday from Scotland and did a wee road trip from Brisbane up to Yeppoon - booked three nights at the Salt Apartments - what a great result, sea view apartment on the 4th floor was excellent - well fitted out with everything you would need for a self catering holiday and so close to everything - great find and would certainly use these premises again.

Catherine (8/5): - It was a nice place to stay. Room wasn’t ready till 2pm. Heated pool was one of the reasons we chose Salt, but the heated pool was out of order for the entire time. Other than that, everything was good.
Bevan (8/5): - Salt is situated right in the middle of Yeppoon on the waterfront. Close and easy walk to multiple different cafes/restaurants. The two bedroom unit was very roomy and comfortable with everything you could want for a pleasurable stay. However, the tiles and carpets could do with a good clean (including public areas). Also, both TV remotes did not work properly, with the lounge TV remote having almost flat batteries (worked only sometimes).
John (8/5): - Need to have more amenities such as coffee, tea, laundry powder or liquid and also a pedestal fan to distribute the a/c into the bedroom as it can get quite hot without a unit there.
Stephen (6/5): - The unit was modern, and the view was great, but the unit needs to be maintained and cleaned. The toilet leaked all night and continued to fill causing the pipe work to bang every time it filled. The toilet roll holder was lose and the toilet paper kept falling off continually. The shower head bracket was broken causing the shower head not to sit straight and showering was difficult. The main bedroom was very dusty, and the air conditioning had the worst mouldy smell when running. Great location and parking was undercover and secure.

Karlein on reception was awesome from making the booking initially, right through to checking out and made the stay easy and effortless to do the business. Function room is excellent, well equipped and quiet. The apartment is wonderful, fully equipped and modern, everything to hand. Yes, I'll be back!

BuzzL861 (8/5): Yeppoon, a Laid-back seaside town with picturesque scenery. - Self contained single unit (the TV(s) remotes require a uni degree to work out), excellent location to the beach, meals and seaside scenic drives. Yeppoon is a beautiful retreat to relax and enjoy the beach with fast receding tides and scenic drives. Tall picturesque mountains and lush raintree wilderness. The Salt hotel has basement parking related to your room number (not easy to find for the first time, especially at night). Breakfast and evening meal restaurants are on either side of reception entrance. Reception staff are pleasant and accommodating.

Great location, with several eateries within walking distance. Secure parking was a bonus. The pool area was also lovely.

The reception lady was so friendly and obliging. The unit was spacious, well-appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Perfect location - across from the main beach and walk to the main street and many eateries. Car park a bit of a squeeze as we own a 4WD.

Prime location to both sailing clubs and vue for dinner which food was 10 out of 10. Secure car park. 5 star review for a 5 star experience

Q7122UOandrewh (2/5): Improvements required - We stayed for a week, our first room was terrible, the bed was average, no door for privacy to the bed room/bathroom, the bedroom and living room ceiling was covered in black mould. Our second room was much better but it was not an ideal start paying a premium price.

mmW4236DR (10/5): 4 night stay at Salt Yeppoon - Salt Apartmetns Yeppoon was amazing. The room was well sized, very clean and the view amazing. (We had an ocean facing 3 bedroom unit). Pool lovely, very quiet rooms, facilities and amenities lovely. Staff were very friendly. Location could not have been better.
taffy029 (4/5): Terrible way to treat customers - Booked Lammermoor Apts but after we arrived and carried luggage down the concrete stairs to the closed front door we were told on the phone that apartments were overbooked and that we had been ‘upgraded ‘ to Salt Apts. Moved into town to look for Salt Apts, hot , tired getting cranky by now. The apartment was great. Plenty of room and a wonderful sea view. However…. 9.30 the following morning a jack hammer started drilling directly above our bedroom and continued all day and all the following day. We were told that they were renovating bathrooms in the hotel. Not at all a relaxing or comfortable stay. So much for the upgrade . Terrible way to treat people.

rbsimmo (8/5): OK stay - We stayed here for 3 Nights in a 1 Bedroom Oceanview Apartment. On arrival check in was easy and quick and we parked our car in the secure underground parking around the back. The lifts are convenient to get you to your floor. We were given room #204 and once inside i felt this was not the room i paid for. On the website clearly states the oceanview rooms are on the higher floors. Our view from the 2nd flor was of trees and the road. We turned the TV on ti check on some news and there was a huge foot wide black line in the middle of it. I went downstairs to reception to request a different room as the tv didnt work properly and we certainly did not have a room on a high floor with an oceanview. The receptionist insisted my room was an oceanview and that trees grow. I was not impressed being spoken to like a child and she must have sensed this as she rang her manager to discuss my concerns with our room. One minute there was no rooms available then after sending me off back to my room waiting on the manager the phone rung and i was told there was a cancellation and we were being moved to a room in the 4th floor. This room did indeed have a view over the trees and if the water but was much more poor condition than the other one. The carpet was so dirty i refused to walk barefoot on it. There is nowhere in the huge shower to put your shampoo and conditioner or soap but the floor. The owner of this particular apartment had spared every expense and bought everything from the $2 shop. From the iron that spewed out sandy grit dirtying my clothes when i went to iron them for dinner to even the clothes airer and don't mention the flimsy ironing board that even the cover kept falling off. The lounge was sinking in places and sounded like it was ready to break. Barely any cooking utensils so we ate out every night. Good thing though was the tv was larger and worked perfectly. Bed was comfy and shower had great water pressure and was hot. The pool area looked great although we didn't get a chance to use it. As there are many places to stay in Yeppoon if the price was good i would stay here again as the location is perfect and as mentioned the first room although was on the 2nd floor was identical to the 2nd one on the higher floor but it had much higher quality amenities in it than the 2nd one. Overall the complex is lovely if seems just pot luck with your apartment and which one you get

duncanno1dog (8/5): Yeppoon is a very special place to visit! - My husband and I stayed 4 nights at Salt Apartments in Yeppoon at the invitation of family and friends who used to work in Yeppoon. It was delightful and the apartment in the most ideal place. We had a number of apartments on various floors and they were so handy to everything, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed our balcony, especially in the early mornings, the bird song and the sea were lovely o wake up to. We especially like the fact that everything worked efficiently, especially the lift and that access was so easy to the carpark underneath the apartments and also to restaurants and bars beneath and nearby. We think that the position of Salt apartments was probably the best spot in town from many points of view and we had a thoroughly pleasant and relaxing stay!
223vickis (8/5): Yeppoon Getaway. - We recently stayed at Salt Apartments in Yeppoon QLD as we had heard good reports about this accomodation. It is almost beachfront with a road running between it and the beach. Close to the centre of town and lots of eating establishments within walking distance. Our apartment was at the western end of the complex and had a side on view of the beachfront. A small covered balcony provided a view of a car park and the motel next door. The apartment was well designed and had plenty of room and all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. Although the apartment was very clean it smelt of cigarette smoke even though it was supposed to be a non smoking venue. The sheets on the bed were very smelly and the cupboard that was supposed to be a pantry smelt of smoke because the rubbish bin was stored in the bottom of it and had obviously been used by previous tenants to empty their ashtrays. I always carry a tin of Glen 20 with me but even that couldn’t remove the smell. We kept the sliding door open to let in fresh air whenever we were in the unit. Just as well we don’t suffer from asthma. Because we arrived late on Sunday afternoon (2pm) we weren’t able to ask for another room as the reception desk wasn’t open until Monday morning and we had commitments in Rockhampton on Monday. Sorry Salt, but the smell in the unit really did put a dampener on our visit. Also be aware if you drive a large Ute, Ranger, Colorado etc the undercover parking is very tight to get in and out and parking spaces are very small. Apart from that we enjoyed our short visit to Yeppoon.
Su (10/5): - Very easy being there and worth the bit extra for the view from the fourth floor. Only issues, and this one will sound funny, there is absolutely no where to put anything in the shower. No soap holder, or shelf. Also no salt and pepper, no coffee press, so you do have to have all your supplies. But the million dollar view is worth having to go to Vinnies and Woolies to buy a couple of things to make life more comfortable.

Adam (10/5): - This apartment complex is extremely well located. Short walk to the public bus that serves both Rockhampton Airport and the Marina to get to Keppel Island (Which is spectacular). It is also a short walk to the Lagoon beachfront public pool which is as grand as any 5-Star hotel. The apartment itself is extremely well appointed with quality appliances and amenities. The staff are extremely friendly and considerate. Highly recommend for singles/families visiting Yeppoon.

Day before trip. Booked months earlier. Did come up with options after an angry phone call. Roll away bed was offered initially at a price then free. Car parks very small. No soap dish or shelf in shower. Put soap on the floor. Reception staff need more training. They seemed very confused when checking in a large group.

Lindy (10/5): High end apartment with everything you need - A beautiful apartment with side view to the water. The apartment was extremely modern with washing machine and dryer within the apartment. Did not need to use the car during our stay given the proximity of all attractions and dining options.
JennyG630 (6/5): Two reviews in one .. Apartments 203 & 207 - This was our second stay at Salt, last year in Apt 203 and this year in Apt 207 so at this stage I'll review both. Apt 203 was at the western end of the building and the view was basically across a public carpark with just glimpses of the water through the trees. We wanted to be in an apt which would give us a better view of the water which is what we hoping for when we rented the more expensive spa apartment. It turned out that 207 while definitely being closer to the water and having a much better layout had pretty much the same view as 203. All that being said, Salt is in a great location with plenty of places to eat right on the doorstep and is just a walk across the road to the beachfront. All the staff we spoke with were very pleasant and helpful. So 👍🏻 to the layout of apartment 207 which included a very spacious balcony. 👍🏻 to the amount of cupboard space in the bedroom. There was also plenty of cupboard space in the kitchen area. 👍🏻 access to loads of apps on the TV 👍🏻 to good internet access 👍🏻 to the location of the building 👍🏻 to Jolt Cafe on the ground floor ... great coffee & cakes 👍🏻 to the staff 👍🏻 to onsite parking ... but the 'security' door was open 24/7 👍🏻 to the onsite swimming pools 👍🏻 to being close to the fabulous Yeppoon pool But 👎🏻to the bathroom in 207 where the shower over the spa bath was absolutely hopeless as there was no way of keeping all the water within the bath, thereby resulting in constant flooding of the bathroom floor. 👎🏻 to the spa bath itself, the surround of which was just grotty with mould, cracks and discoloured grout. In our opinion, this bath should be removed and replaced with a walk-in shower. 👎🏻 to the grubby carpets and the lounge that needed a good clean. 👎🏻 to the living room air conditioner which leaked water through the cupboard beneath and onto the bench. We didn't need to use the air-con in the bedroom. 👎🏻 the webbing on the outdoor chairs was in fairly poor condition with numerous holes 👎🏻to the clothes airer which had broken wires 👎🏻there were no instructions on how to use the ceramic cooktop 👎🏻to the layout of Apt 203 which had no door between the bedroom and bathroom & toilet, and very strangely also included the very spacious cupboards which should have had the doors on the bedroom side!! We'll probably try Salt once more next year now that we know that apartments 307 & 407 have walk-in showers and hopefully, being on higher levels, should have a better view over the trees to the water.

Greg (4/5): Very Disappointed - The receptionist was very difficult to understand. When we entered the room we found it difficult to breath the air from the musty, mould like smell coming out of air conditioning. Asked receptionist about it and requested service to bring up something to freshen room and no one came. We put up with the discomforting smell for our stay, which was very I pleasant. Was informed only 1 week before stay and after the no refundable period had passed, that there would be works being carried out on surrounding rooms. We arrived at 2 pm and had to leave the room and sit in a nearby park until 5 pm as the Jack hammer was too much to bear. We were told the works would only be on the day we arrived but we heard and seen tradesmen working for the next two days. Very disappointed for a high end hotel!!

MICHELLE (6/5): - The room we stayed in had a terrible musty smell and as there was no reception open I could not ask for something do be done. This meant we had to sleep with the balcony door open and no air conditioning on at it was an extremely humid night which meant poor sleep. Location very good though.
Fortini (6/5): - While the staff were very helpful, our holiday was marred by two days of construction noise. We were not advised of the renovation works and we were not offered alternative accommodation. So much for the quiet holiday by the sea which had been keenly anticipated!

Half of Yeppoons places to eat were shut for Christmas break, or booked out. The most concerning part was the fire exit door out onto the main ground level was locked. Not very safe at all.
