• Sam (8/5): Good hotel in brilliant location. - Brilliant location next to little Japan. Easy walk to everything I needed. It’s not really a dislike, more of an observation. The pool was very small and had no character.

• Chris (1/5): Canceled my room at 3 PM on check-in day with a fake excuse; completely unreliable for travelers. - never saw the inside of the hotel Avoid booking here if you actually need a place to stay. I was traveling to HCMC with my rugby team for a tournament, only to have the Bay Hotel cancel my reservation at 3:00 PM on the day of arrival. Their excuse was that I hadn’t 'prepaid,' despite the fact that prepayment was never offered as an option during the booking process. They left a guest stranded in a foreign city with zero notice, likely because they overbooked and chose to bump me. If you’re traveling for an event or as part of a group, do not trust this hotel to honor your reservation. Utterly unprofessional and unreliable.

Из окон открывается вид на дом-«подарок» и небоскребы центрального Хошимина. Бассейн на крыше просто потрясающий — идеальное вдохновляющее место для проведения вечеров. Из него видно возвышающийся небоскреб Marina Central с его фасадами-экранами и открытыми террасами на высоте. Внизу отеля расположено несколько огромных кофеен, а рядом — улицы со всевозможной едой. Проживание в этом отеле внесло свой неповторимый положительный вклад во впечатление о всем городе. Обязательно вернусь!
• Peter (8/5): Prima hotel aan de rand van district 1 - Lekkere rustige kamer met mooie uitzicht op stad en rivier. Goed ontbijt en goede gym. Minibar inclusief (maar matig gevuld) Hotel ligt ligt net iets buiten het echte centrum van Ho Chi Minh City in de Japanse wijk; trekt daardoor groepen luidruchtige Japanners. Het zwembad op dak is heel klein en nauwelijks stoelen om daarbij te roepen. Rooftop restaurant werd tijdens ons verblijf in gewerkt, was een rommeltje en kon je niet zitten. Vergeleken met andere hotels wel wat aan de dure kant. Voor minder geld zit je in centrum district 1 ook goed.

We chose a windowless room, maybe not a good idea when you're jetlagged as can't tell night from day! Only had one mirror, which was in the bathroom. I'm not a fan of glass bathrooms in the room, though it was frosted glass. The restaurant only had a buffet for breakfast, when alot of people maybe just want a coffee and snack.

• Avelina (9/5): - Very helpful reception staff. Breakfast changes every day and offers a wide variety of choices. The room is extremely clean and modern. Laundry service is very good. Great location with a very nice view. The gym is small, but it has everything you need for basic training I don’t understand why there are only four sun loungers at the rooftop pool. When there is a group of friends or a couple, they end up sharing one lounger, which makes people around feel uncomfortable. What is even more surprising is that there is enough space for at least three more loungers, but for some reason they are not there🤷‍♀️ Also, when I entered the room for the first time, there was a slight smell of an unclean carpet. However, compared to all the positive aspects, this did not really matter to me.

Very close to a variety of food places and convenience shop. Would definitely stay again. The pool area needs a sun umbrella as they is no where out of the sun to relax.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Toilet issues then broken weak air con! - Stayed at this hotel 5 plus times over the years but this trip hotel showed its age! First room toilet wouldn’t flush from entry for 3 days of them trying plunge and no other rooms available! They finally changed us rooms but then the new room the air con wouldn’t work nearly as good as other room! Had keep window curtains closed to help keep Sun out, they came and changed filter for a few days trying to fix then did a third Mainteance to it while we was out! Being on long trip and used to heat from are home area we didnt want to keep repacking so stayed in room. Staff did what they could and where nice as usual!

Worst hotel experience we have had. Rooftop bar staff lovely. Extensive breakfast but room too small for peak time. Wouldn't recommend.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds and really good breakfast. Pool area was nice, not huge but nice to cool off at the end of the day. The hotel was a little tired - but overall it was good.

I had a large issue that made me have to reschedule everything in the afternoon. I had told someone when I came that I would like to check out late on Wednesday, but when Wednesday came I was not able to check out late. I had to make last second arrangements to an hourly hotel instead of paying half since they gave my room away. I would think they could move me to another room but they didn’t . They also had rooms still available at this time.

• Darshan (7/5): Good - Decent Stay, but Staff Experience Could Be Improved I recently stayed at Bay Hotel Ho Chi Minh City and had a mixed experience. The hotel itself is well-designed and located in a convenient area, close to many restaurants, cafes, and attractions. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable—definitely up to the standard I was expecting. However, I was disappointed with the level of service from the staff. Throughout my stay, I found them to be rather unhelpful and not as attentive or welcoming as I’ve experienced at other hotels in Vietnam. Simple requests often felt like a burden to them, and there was a noticeable lack of warmth in the interactions. The facilities, such as the rooftop pool and breakfast area, were nice, but the overall experience was affected by the less-than-supportive service. Bay Hotel has potential, and with more focus on hospitality and guest support, it could be a great place to stay. For now, it was just an average experience.
