- JIGNESH (10/5): We loved - Breakfast was delicious with freshly brewed coffee or Moroccan Mint Tea, fresh orange juice, and Moroccan breads, jam, honey, local cheese, olives and an omelette……more than substantial and really yummy. Younis Ibtissam and the other people who looked after the Riad were so helpful. It felt like home. Beauifully and traditionally decorated with breakfast under orange trees, it’s an amazing experience. Younis gave us some good suggestions and was always there if we had any questions. Riad Norma is very close to Bab Ziat and the Medina is a 10min walk away. Some lovely restaurants in the vicinity as well. We stayed in the Lucia Suite and it was spacious and very comfortable. Loved the decor and high ceilings. I’d have loved a coffee or tea in the room but that’s really minor. I would just go down to the gorgeously decorated living area and request for tea and it was lovely

The riad itself is lovely with the center of the building open to the sky (when the weather is good) with great seating for breakfast, tea or just hanging about. The breakfasts were wonderful. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was gorgeous with plenty of room for clothes in closets and for us to spread out during our stay. The location was very convenient. We were only a short walk from Bab Ziat so that being dropped off (since the medina is closed to cars) was not an issue. We were met and helped back (we had several pieces of luggage since we were staying in Morocco for 3 weeks) to the bab at the end of our stay. Also Bab Ziat is a great meeting place for tours. FYI: with a bit of guidance from our host with directions and a hard copy map (map apps can be unreliable in the souks) it was not difficult to get to The Blue Gate, with an easy entrance into the souks. FYI: riad tips can be put in a communal tip box at the end of your stay and are shared with the entire staff. absolutely no complaints. Everything was great.

Le riad est bien situé, près d'une un porte de la ville, on rejoint la porte Bleue et le coeur de la Medina en 10min à pied. Le patio est très beau et le jardin un petit paradis. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et délicieux. Le personnel du Riad est très gentil et nous pet en contact avec des taxis si nous souhaitons aller dans un autre ville pour la journée.

- Yaxuan (9/5): Quiet stay in Fes with a lovely garden - The entire riad was beautiful and tranquil. The garden was our favorite place the be, with fresh air, a variety of greenery, and a small pool. We had breakfast there; the strawberries and yogurt was delicious. We also got to meet two of the riad's sweet cats! Younes, our host, was friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Carmen room, with two twin beds and an upstairs bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The riad's location is in a quiet corner of the Fes medina close to Bab Ziat, which is a convenient gate to enter the medina from the road. It was a convenient 10 minute walk into the busier parts of the medina. There was a mildew smell in the central courtyard and in our bathroom area. The shower doesn't have a curtain so the spray gets the floor wet after a shower.

The staff took there time to provide us with a map to help us get around the busy streets of Fes. They offer welcome tea service and the breakfast was amazing. We pushed back our last day so we could enjoy a traditional breakfast before heading out. We told one of the staff members we wanted to try Mesman and the next day they provided it for us for breakfast. WOW this was such a great stay! I would definitely stay again. They offer daily room service and although it was too cold to try out the pool the outdoor area was stunning. Our only fault is that we couldn’t stay longer. Nothing it was great!

- Joseph (10/5): A Unique Way to Stay in a Moroccan Small Boutique Property - The interior of Riad Norma provides a respite from traveling and touring the city of Fez. The traveler feels more like they are staying in a private home than in an impersonal chain hotel. I really enjoyed my stay and after a 12-hour day tour, spent the next day mostly in the lobby and my spacious room to post more photos to my social media accounts. I experienced some rainy, chilly days, so it was great to spend time in this beautiful property and relax. The property is unique and an excellent way to stay in a property that is not your typical cookie-cutter hotel/guesthouse. I recommend staying in this property if you want to experience Moroccan culture and hospitality. While you staying in a luxury Moroccan property, at 70 years old; it was somewhat difficult to navigate the winding stairs. If you are older, it might be advisable to request a room closer to the ground floor. My room had a beautifully decorated bathroom, but with a bathtub rather than a shower. The manager said that some rooms have showers, so if you are older, request a room with a shower closer to the main floor. If you are a younger traveler, then stairs and bathtubs will be easier to navigate.

- Kim (10/5): Best riad stay - This was the best riad of our 10day trip in Morocco. The staff are A+ and it felt luxury. The room had everything we could need to make the stay comfortable. They thought of little details like having a small space heater in the bathroom to make sure that area was warm during the cold month of January when we stayed. The amenities were of nice quality. I enjoyed the breakfast we had, from the fresh orange juice to the lovely cooked eggs. The pool looked like it would be refreshing in the hotter months. The ambiance of the property gave luxurious feels. We didn't hear any noises when we were in our room from outside nor from any breakfast setup. The staff were super helpful calling a restaurant to ensure we had a porter come collect us for dinner so we wouldn't get lost. Nothing, the stay was perfect
- rodrick (10/5): Wonderful first time stay in Fez - We stayed in the upstairs Lucia room, which was very spacious and had three large floor to almost ceiling windows that opened out onto the courtyard below. Breakfast was served in the courtyard (winter season). It involved different breads, pastries, jams, yogurts, fruits, and eggs upon request. We rated location as 5 stars as we liked being away from the Central Medina and Souks (a 10 minute walk away). It is steps away from one of the smaller/quieter entry gates into the Medina. The staff are friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to be of assistance. Thanks Younes, it always felt comforting to come home to the Riad. The property is wonderful. Be prepared for some eager youth on the nearby streets to offer directions to tanneries, souks, tourist sites. We always just said thanks and kept on our way (trust Google Maps) never had any issues.

Het personeel is super vriendelijk en zorgen voor een warm ontvangst. Het ontbijt is iedere ochtend een feestje en heel leuk dat je bij het ontbijt ook andere hotelgasten kunt ontmoeten. De kamers zijn zeer sfeervol ingericht en van alle comfort voorzien. Housekeeping is echt fantastisch! Helemaal niets

- css57 (9/5): ottima esperienza - sito all'interno della Medina in zona molto tranquilla, vicino alla porta di Bab Ziat. Possibilità di parcheggio in un garage vicino (5€ al giorno). Nella breve via vi sono altri due riad. Raggiungere le vie più animate della medina richiede una breve passeggiata (se non ci si perde prima!). Molto affascinante la struttura interna con cortile coperto e giardino piantumato all'esterno. Personale ultra disponibile e gentile (ci hanno anche organizzato una giornata con una bravissima guida locale che parlava anche bene italiano). Camera e bagno di grandi dimensioni e dotati di tutto quanto possa occorrere. Ricca colazione marocchina. Davvero un'ottima esperienza
- DraganaH (10/5): A beautiful riad - we enjoyed every part of our stay! - The Riad is gorgeous! Our room was upstairs - it was quite large with high ceilings and windows overlooking the interior patio. There was an additional sitting area attached. The rooms were sumptuously decorated with comfortable bed and pillows, Our hosts were very gracious and accommodating. Breakfast was colorful (the mini tagines with jams and honey were adorable) and delicious with a variety of choices - yogurt with fruit, breads, eggs, but most delicious was the freshly made msemen unlike anywhere else I've eaten. The riad next door offers an excellent dinner menu. The Riad is in a quiet southern part of the medina and may be a tad hard to find when walking from the north. Google maps brings you nearby, but we found that if we walked towards Bab Ziat, we could easily find our way. It's not a problem for taxis to drop you off at the door, entering via Bab Ziat.

- Niancat (10/5): - My father and I enjoyed our stay at Riad Norma during our visit at Fes. The staff greeted us with mint tea in the beautiful garden, and the owner provided us how to navigate the medina to Bab Boujloud, which turned out very helpful and easy. We went out for dinner at both nights and it turned out very safe to walk from and back to the riad. The room we stayed at is spacious and clean with traditional moroccan decors. The breakfast had good varieties of breads, fruits, yogurt and eggs. The staff are very friendly and they prepared us breakfast at 8 on the day we left cuz we had an early transfer to Tangier. We highly recommend anyone visiting Fes to stay at Riad Norma!

- Tanja (10/5): Wunderschöner Riad, jederzeit wieder! - Dank des mitgebuchten Flughafentransfers war die Anreise sehr entspannt, da wir das Riad Norma in den doch recht verwinkelten Gassen der Medina nicht suchen mussten. Unbedingt zu empfehlen! Schon die Begrüßung im Riad Norma war fantastisch, denn wir wurden gleich in den schönen kleinen Garten gebeten, wo es erstmal einen Minztee gab. Die nächste positive Überraschung war ein Upgrade auf die Suite Norma, die wirklich erstklassig ist. Geräumig, wunderschön eingerichtet und mit einem großen Bad ausgestattet. Das gesamte Haus ist wirklich ein Traum und der Garten mit dem Pool eine Oase in der quirligen Stadt. Positiv zu erwähnen ist auch das außerordentlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal. Obwohl wir morgens schon um 7.00 Uhr auschecken mussten, bekamen wir zum Beispiel ein vollwertiges Frühstück serviert. Beim Duschen in der Badewanne setzt man leider schnell den Waschtisch unter Wasser. Da ein Duschvorhang oder eine Abtrennung aber die Optik stören würden, passt das so. Eine Kleinigkeit: Wenn in der Karte Wein im Glas angeboten wird, ist es nicht gut, wenn dem Gast dann gesagt wird, dass man wegen zwei Personen keine Flasche öffne.

- Jérôme (8/5): - Un riad très joliment aménagé, un personnel charmant. Nous étions logés dans la chambre "carmen", duplex avec toilettes et salle de bain à l'étage, très beau logement. Des chambres et des lieux communs agréables avec possibilité de prendre un verre sur le patio au bord de la petite piscine. L'établissement propose également la réservation de taxi pour les transferts à l'aéroport et pour bénéficier d'un chauffeur pour une journée excursion avec des tarifs annoncés à l'avance. Le riad est rénové dans un style, sans doute traditionnel, les portes d'entrée de la chambre ne garantissent pas une isolation phonique parfaite, mais cela ne nous a pas gênés, dans ce riad très calme.

Younes was exceptionally kind and helpful — when we couldn’t find a taxi at night from Bab Boujloud, he came with his own car to pick us up. We were truly grateful for his attentiveness and kindness.

- TJ (8/5): Traditional and rustic style riad - Yunus and the cook were amazing, and the house cats really cute. The location of the riad was a short walk to the Medina, and close to a main gate access. My room was massive and the aircon worked really well. There are some great spots to eat in the back streets close by. Could have some more comfortable sun lounge furniture so you can lay in the sun outside.

Cada dia diferent però seguint estructura de fruita, suc natural, pa amb mantega, melmelada, formatge... i un crêpe i una pasta. Cafè, llet i com no, olives, que al Marroc mai en falten! :-) Tot ha estat excel·lent i per nosaltres no cal millorar res.

It was very hot during our stay (40+) so the walk to and from the blue gate for eating and exploring a couple of times a day became challenging. We mostly caught taxis (cheap) from Bab Ziat to save our energy for exploring the inner medina.
- Rebecca (10/5): After a couple of days, we didn’t want to leave. Everyone was so helpful - We actually didn’t want to leave, it felt like home. Younes sat us down right away with mint tea and reviewed the entire map of Fez with advice. He also negotiated parking for us. The room was large and comfortable. The entire staff was friendly. Breakfast by the gorgeous pool was amazing. The location was very convenient, right inside a gate to the Medina. I do wish they had their own parking. Make sure you listed to the advice on how to get to the central Medina, it can be confusing.

- Matthew (10/5): Incredible Opportunity to Stay at Elegant Riad Fit for Royalty - For the American tourist, it's difficult if you do not speak French or Arabic to navigate Morocco generally. Because of the talented team that Proprietess Monique has assembled, we could understand pretty clearly and arrange all sorts of things to do without trouble. The pool area was overused by us! We loved our experience living like royalty in her palatial riad. Our rooms far exceeded our expectations as well. The food for breakfast was great and the quality exceptional. Oh, and the morning coffee! Wow. It is a 20 minute walk into the main part of the souk. I think that if we'd been closer in, it might have simply been too noisey. We found getting away from the souk was fine for us, but it meant if we did want to see the souk, we had to plan to walk meaningful distances up and down hills.
