- Carol (5/5): I would not choose to stay there again. - It was cute and the 4 bunkers were fun Very minimal water pressure in shower. Unable to rinse shampoo from hair. All 4 travelers with long hair. Hand held part of shower only leaked water no spray and broken controls to adjust spray from rain head to hand held and vis versa. AC unit made a terrible loud noise regardless of fan speed. Had to turn it off to get any sleep and room remained hot. Putting unit on fan only did not stop noise. This was reported to on duty reception who said they called mechanic but never saw any intervention. No other rooms available although I was told they would give us a different room for 2ed night. Painting tape still on wall I. Shower area making it look like it was under repair.

- Brigitte (7/5): Definitely a good value for the location and friendly atmosphere. Not your typical generic hotel. - We liked the location and the very friendly and helpful staff. They offer reverse osmosis water which I was pleased about. The bed frame squeaked with every move and the room had no window that opened to the outside, nor a fan to remove the moisture from the shower, so it smelled a little musty in the room. There were no meals available and the rooftop bar was not operational.

The first room we were put in was right behind the front desk. Very loud location from other guest entering and street noises. Also the shower was leaking so the head had no pressure. The next room was a better location and quiet. The bed situation was poor, mattress was directly on the frame leading to a very uncomfortable situation.

- James (8/5): Close to the action in the French Quarter, Canal Street, the Superdome and the bus station - The staff were helpful and knowledgeable. One was even into the spirits of the party. I love how they had beads ready upon arrival. Location is fantastic. It’s just a short walk from the city’s major locations such as the bus station, the Superdome, Canal Street and Bourbon Street. It has some old charm to it as well mixed with modernity. The lobby is sumptuous and one could spend a great deal of time whiling the hours away there. I hadn’t planned on staying here as my original reservation was cancelled without warning and I had to rebook with another property just about a week before Mardi Gras so the price skyrocketed and thus hit me with an expense that was the last thing I needed. I get it it’s Mardi Gras, but having to fork over for the stay felt unconscionable. Don’t get me wrong I still love the hotel and staff. It was simply a situation I shouldn’t have been thrusted into in the first place.

Would surelly recommend it! - The hotel employees were super nice, always ready to help with information and anything that was missing in the room. Location is great and hotel vibes are super cool. We got and appartment with kitchen and it was reallly similar to the pictures. The hand towel holder and the bathroom curtain kept falling during our stay and some dishes were missing on the kitchen. But besided that, acomodation was really confy. Bed and bedsheets were great.

- Justin (1/5): We didn’t feel safe to sleep there!!! - NOTHING I’m very disappointed with our experience. We didn’t even feel safe enough to stay the night. The padlock on the door was broken, and the only working lock was just a regular doorknob lock. The outside door leading to our room barely opened, which honestly made us feel trapped inside. As a parent, I did not feel comfortable letting my child stay there under those conditions. When we brought our concerns to the front desk, the employee didn’t make any effort to fix the situation or offer a solution. We ended up paying full price for a room we didn’t even sleep in. Very upsetting experience.

It has gone WAY downhill. Our room was filthy and worn. Disgusting sofa, worn floors, broken blinds, no toiletries provided. It was terrible. I reached out to management but have heard nothing back. Hopefully it will be bought and restored to its glory but until then we will NOT be back. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
- Wesley (8/5): Great value and solid experience in the French Quarter - To stay in the French quarter for the price point that this hotel offers is awesome. And it's actually a nice place to stay. It's got a cool little charm and its comfortable, and I felt safe staying there. Bed was much more comfortable than I was expecting. The shower curtain needed to be replaced, and the knob on the door to my room was a little bit loose, but it still locked and latched the door correctly. I would recommend tightening those knobs! And I wasn't sure on the total cleanliness level of the floors, I would bring sandals to wear in the room if I stay here again.

Plenty of places to eat nearby and you can walk anywhere or take the cable cars from Canal St. The o my problem I had was that none of the power outlets by the bed were working. We were in for Billie Eilish, and Catahoula made the whole weekend effortless. The rooftop terrace sealed it—skyline breeze, cocktails, and views that make you “keep it one hundred.” One night up there and, honestly, “you lit my sky up.” If you want the real New Orleans feel without chain-hotel blandness, this is the treasure: romantic for couples, easy for friends, and dangerously Instagrammable from lobby to rooftop. Consider my allegiance pledged—Catahoula “saved my heart from the fate of Ophelia.” And the staff? Think calm, capable, quietly protective—very Father Figure energy in all the right ways. Catahoula ‘kept it one hundred’; the meter… not so much. Pre-weekend meter hours + two-hour cap + 30-minute lapse = $30 ticket. Totally on me—garage is right there.

- julesb (8/5): A specially great hotel, and at an affordable price. - The hotel is super conveniently located in New Orleans's CBD, allowing to walk to all of the city center. The building and interior's space is really nice and chill, in striking contrast to the surrounding area. The room was clean and confortable and the private terrasse was a nice addition. It was quiet at night except occasionally due to other noisy guests. The hotel staff are very friendly and attentive, and responded to all my requests with the utmost care.

- Elizabeth (4/5): A historic reno project with an excellent staff! - The location is incredible and the building is truly historic! If you can't sleep, no need to leave the hotel, just have a quiet sit in the moonlight listening to the sounds of the city in one of the outdoor seating areas immediately accessible outside of the rooms. The check in process is not like other hotels, so pay close attention to your instructions. Not a big deal though. However, this hotel has recently been re-acquired by its parent company and is about to undergo quite the renovation. Although still open for business, there will be dirt, noise, and zero food facilities until they are finished. Perfect for a solo traveler or well-abled couple but NOT for a family with small children!!

- Ruiz Gonzalez (3/5): My stay was exhausting and disappointing. - The hotel is conveniently located. Unfortunately, my stay was very uncomfortable. I was there for four nights attending a conference, and I mainly went back to the hotel to rest after long days. However, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and caused me severe back pain throughout my stay. My room (#1) was located right behind the reception, and I could hear everything: people entering and leaving, conversations, and music playing late into the night. On Saturday at 6 a.m., someone started playing the piano and singing at the reception, which made it impossible to sleep. On my first night, I went to the front desk to request a room change. The staff member at the reception seemed unwilling to help and simply said there were no available rooms, without even asking why I wanted to move, almost as if they already knew how uncomfortable that room is. Another person, who seemed to be either the owner or a manager, stepped in and kindly checked if there was anything that could be done that night. He told me there was no availability at the moment but that they would let me know as soon as something opened up. Unfortunately, no one ever contacted me afterward, no update, no follow-up, not even to ask if my stay was improving or if there was anything they could do to help.

Switched two different rooms and the toilet was broken in both. I’m in a wheelchair so broken elevator meant I had to be carried down to the first floor by my spouse. Not an option for most people.
- Dehart (1/5): Would not recommend!! - Walking distance to french quarter and all shops/restaurants ect. Apartment had no AC was broken and could not move us to another unit. Microwave did not work, washer and dryer both were not working. Tv in the apartment was not working, no wifi for guests unlike what was stated on the info page on the room. Rooftop bar and lobby bar downstairs we no longer used but we were told they were open. Bed was not comfortable and had a bad odor throughout apartment. Staff was amazing and kind but have no power to make changes or anything for guests. They stated they were aware of the issues but are told to not say anything.

- Nina (9/5): PERFECT LOCATION and NOT a franchise hotel - The location, the ambiance, the staff! This is not a typical franchise "fancy" hotel. The building is old but the updates are great. We stayed in the flats side. The bed was absolutely so so so comfy!!!! The staff was so friendly. We had a mini fridge, TV (everyone complained the TV didn't work but we got it after a few mins and only 5 channels but we were there to explore). The room temperature was perfect and room size for us 2 was perfect as well. The bathroom was HUGE, two sinks. The shower didn't drain well but that is also okay. We've stayed in some fancy places but this was so quirky and cute. Walking to the French Quarter was a breeze! Not sure why anyone would complain about this place??? The shower didn't drain well and we got 5 channels but we weren't there to watch tv..

- Dawson (9/5): This hotel is adorable and I really enjoyed my stay - Amazing ambiance. Great location. Friendly staff. The AC was a little noisy.
