- 516basild (4/5): Don't Stay Here!!!!!!!! - Don't stay here. Not worth it. I paid full price (over $200) for a one bedroom, king sized bed. The room are mediocre at best. AT BEST. They don't even give you a bottle of water. Seriously???? They couldn't be bothered to give you a bloody bottle of water at over $200 a night for a room? The front desk couldn't care less about it all either. Go to Drury Inn or some other chain who cares. The hotel staff here clearly does not.
- Sean (1/5): - Somewhat close to the event our group was attending. We heard the cars racing, honking, radios, motorcycles racing as if there weren't any windows in room 602. Thermostat is at a set temp so you have to drop or raise the temperature on the unit in the wall to override the thermostat. Could not get the room cooled down. The shower started dripping and hitting the metal floor plate at 3 a.m. Nobody had taken a shower yet. It was so loud. The charging port on the left side if the bed didn't work which I caught at 4 a.m., 2 hours before we had to get up and drive to Wichita for a company event. We would have missed that event. Our group felt confident in choosing this hotel, but unfortunately we won't be returning.

I came down from my room to ask a question later, and was immediately greated by Ariana who was helpful with ideas for food and entertainment. Kelly from engineering came by and greeted me as well. When leaving Melissa and Charlen checked me out and inquired about my stay. Bed was extremely comfortable and had a great view from my window

- G7391KShaleyh (2/5): NO Safety - Car broken in to - If you value your SAFETY I highly recommend staying somewhere else. Within HOURS of me checking in and paying $100 to park in the hotel parking garage my car was vandalized and broken into, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage. Despite having nothing visible in the car, I was still robbed. Come to find out, they only have someone stationed at the garage from 10pm-8am, and they have NO security cameras in either the garage or the exterior of the building. What made it worse was talking to the manager after, when I brought up safety concerns the only thing he had to say was that it costs a lot of money. As a single woman traveling alone, I am appalled at the lack of safety measures in place for their guests. The staff were helpful after but corporate stated that since they post signs that they aren’t responsible. I’m thankful that no one was in the garage at the time, or else this could have resulted in a person or myself being seriously injured during the robbery. I travel pretty much weekly and will never stay at this hotel chain again.

Courtyard property is located next to MainSt and 670 and it is noisy throughout the night. Local restaurants get busy early - get reservations! Parking was over $30/Night and hotel bistro was overpriced for its quality of food.

Then you have to use a QR code to register your car. Took me about 30 minutes to register. This is something they just started. Not good.

- jyothia375 (2/5): Found Bed Bugs & Poor Guidance – Had to Switch Hotels - I stayed at the Courtyard & Residence Inn Kansas City Downtown Convention Center (Marriott) in September 2025 while attending a professional conference. Unfortunately, I discovered live bed bugs in my room (426). I have photo and video evidence. When I notified the front desk, the receptionist offered almost no guidance beyond “move to another room.” I was not told that laundry facilities were available onsite, which could have helped me heat-treat my clothing immediately. Instead, I had to take Ubers to a coworker’s house to attempt to salvage my luggage. Out of concern for contamination and the lack of a clear protocol, I ultimately moved to another hotel across the street. The general manager did follow up, apologized, comped my room, and offered to dry my clothes and “disinfect my suitcase” (though it was unclear what that entailed). While I appreciate the gesture, this incident was deeply distressing and damaging to my confidence in Marriott. As someone who stays at Marriott properties exclusively, I chose this hotel over the official conference hotel (Loews) out of loyalty. This experience left me not only inconvenienced but questioning that loyalty. Bottom line: Inspect your room carefully before unpacking. Bed bugs are a serious issue, and the lack of immediate support or protocol here made a bad situation much worse.

If I’d known it was a residence inn too I’d have booked that side Your staff at check in was very unhelpful and ignorant about sites and places around the hotel. We had a reservation at Tom’s Town. Turns out it was right around the corner but your people had no clue.

- RatedRSuperstar (10/5): All Star Front Desk and Clean Property - Everything at this Courtyard exceeded expectations as I just left another Courtyard in Oklahoma City that was terrible. The Courtyard Kansas City was a short distance from the Convention Center so it was easy to walk to and from. Everyday I came back my room was clean! The room I was in was spacious and modern with plenty of space. This shares a building with the Residence Inn so you have two choices for breakfast. The restaurant was clean and all common areas were very pleasant. All the front desk staff were very kind and every night I came back there were cookies waiting at the front desk. I want to shout out Maddie who helped answer my questions prior to check in and coincidentally she checked me in when I got there and checked me out when I left. There was also a small issue I had (not the hotels fault) which the manager helped me with right away. Looking forward to my next stay when I’m back in Kansas.

Staff were not friendly when checking in , also our booking included breakfast and staff did not add that until i mentioned it and then had made a rude comment that they never include breakfast , did not give info on hours for check out time or any information about what is around.

We had to use valet parking because there are not many places to safely park in the area. The valet were helpful and got our car to us quickly. We would stay there again.

- Madison (10/5): Great hotel, great location - This hotel was really nice. Its in a great location. Streetcar is so close as well as the Kauffman Center, Power and Light, Tmobile Arena, etc. Valeting the car was really nice too (definitely not free, but worth it on my opinion). Rooms were nice, staff was nice. Bistro food was good. The only negative thing I could say is that they give you the world's smallest trashcan in the room and then don't ever empty it. We set it out in the hallway so they could dump it/replace and they just took it and never brought one back so we had to use a plastic bag for trash the last day and a half.

- George G (10/5): Great stay experience - Throughout the whole stay every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. Our first encounter was with Elise at the front desk. She was friendly and so helpful when we asked about local places to eat while we were in KC. Even a minor sink issue was handled efficiently. This was a great stay experience! The hotel was clean, spacious and everyone made the stay even better than expected.

Hotel is very clean and room was spacious and in great condition. Did realize the cold water at the sink wasn’t working, but maintenance came and fixed it quickly. All the staff we’ve come in contact with are so friendly. Easy access to convention center via a sky bridge by crossing the street and going into the Loews Hotel and up an escalator near the bar.

The staff is very courteous and thoughtful. Have to give a huge shout to Melissa at the front desk. She goes above and beyond very pleasant and professional. - chasee2024 (8/5): Great option for Convention Center proximity - This hotel allows very easy access to the convention center via skybridge from adjacent building or a short walk. Elite recognition is good at this property. As a Titanium was offered lounge access at the other hotel housed in the same building. Rooms were appointed to brand standard, elevators were fast and AC worked very well. The little hotel bar that also does food was good with fast service. I would have no problems staying here again in KC.
