• Steven (10/5): - Wonderful staff and excellent service! 10/10 There was an issue with my Expedia booking that wasn’t really anyone’s fault, just one of those things that happen. What stood out was how the staff handled it. They didn’t make excuses or push blame..they stepped in and helped me get things sorted. Management made sure I was taken care of, and that meant a lot. You can tell they actually care about guests, not just the business.

• KELLY (10/5): - I have stayed at the Contempra Inn on many occasions and have always found it to be a consistently pleasant experience. It is an exceptional value for the price point, convenient to the airport and with many dining options, both full-service restaurants and fast-food, in the immediate area. The room has always been clean and the full-size refrigerator with microwave is an added plus. There is a Walmart Super Center in the area as well as a Walmart Neighborhood Market for added convenience. The free parking is a bonus considering how pricey parking is at 'chain hotels' and in the city center. I have always found the staff, both front office and housekeeping, to be pleasant and willing to meet any reasonable need I may have. The incredible number of TV channels, local, cable and premium cable are another bonus. Overall, this is a property that should be carefully considered when searching the area for accommodations.

• Chrystal (8/5): Great stay for a weekend - Hotel staff was super friendly and check in was easy and simple. Room was clean. Easy access to highway and the cats & ducks on the property were so cute! Only complaint was our room had a strong unpleasant odor.
• Melissa (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE. Seriously. The room was disgusting. Upon checking in you get a bent key and a tv remote. Weird. The guy at the counter was nice. When I checked in he asked what our plans were. I had explained that we were just dropping off our things and heading for one last meal in the French Quarter. I say this because he knew we were going to drop off our things and go. When we came back and upon further inspection, the room was filthy. Urine on the toilet seat, dirt marks everything, the fan was covered in dust. When I went up to the desk to tell him that we were checking out, he said I “should have told him sooner” for what exactly sir, to watch someone come in and clean the urine off the toilet? That should have been done prior to check in. Contacted Expedia for a refund and nope. They “can’t get an hold of anyone” so now I’m screwed. We had to get another hotel. Do yourself and favor and skip this place. Spend the extra 100$ and stay across the street at the Hilton. I have attached pictures.

• Lawrence (6/5): - Sounds like they had a fight either in the next room or outside, room had black bugs that were not mosquitoes all over the walls, the temperature was about 66° when walking into the room, bedspread, stains, the entry door lock looks like it was loose. Maybe someone trying to use forcible entry at some point in time., the key did not work in the deadbolt lock only the bottom entry, had like an ammonia smell the next morning, and the floors were all sweaty after raising the temperature to mid 70s.

• Avonelle (6/5): - Pros: the location was great...only a few minutes from the airport. The staff was also polite and helpful. Cons: there was a huge confusion with my booking and reservation. They had the wrong name on the reservation. Secondly, the telephone didn't work. When I reported it to the staff, they said they would send a technician the next day...they didn't. For my entire stay (5 nights), I had no access to the phone, so I pretty much had to walk to the front desk for anything I needed. Thirdly, they said that housekeeping would be done on a daily basis unless I said otherwise. The second day I left the inn and was out the entire day. I didn't put up the do not disturb sign. The room was as I left it...dirty towels on the floor, unmade bed. The room was never cleaned. I had to go to the front desk and ask to have the room cleaned the next day. The housekeeper did come, cleared the towels, replace them with fresh ones, but didn't leave me any wash rags. They also didn't change the bed linens. I had made the bed before I left (big mistake). The cleaner didn't bother to change the sheets and pillow cases and remake the bed. The refrigerator also malfunctioned. I placed stuff in the lower level that completely froze over like they were in the freezer. Finally, there was a used toothbrush under the bathroom sink that remained there even after the cleaner supposedly cleaned. All in all, I was not happy with my stay. I won't ever be returning to Contempra Inn.

• Harriet (10/5): A clean gem with a lovely staff - Ultra excellent and friendly staff from the front desk to housekeeping. Super clean room. You won’t accidentally think you’re at the Ritz but this is a wonderful spot for a short stay.
• Kelly (10/5): - I have stayed several timed at this property and have always had a pleasant experience. The staff have always been accommodating and courteous, Emanuel in particular. The room, though basic, is a value for the price point and has always been comfortable with a lot of space to 'spread out'. A unique feature, other than the full-sized refrigerator, is the amount of channels available to view on the flat screen TVs, local, cable and premium. Free parking is a plus, and I have never felt unsafe in the area. There are numerous dining options as well as a Super Walmart and Walmart Neighborhood Market in close proximity. All in all, this is an exceptional value for the money spent.

It was quiet at nice which was nice, and the staff was extremely welcoming. Check in and check out went smoothly. The only downside was the room had an off-putting pee smell, I think it came from the bathroom. But if you were to shut the bathroom door, it’s perfectly fine.

• Danielle (8/5): Okay stay - We only stayed for the night to get to the airport on time. The room was dated, but visibly clean. There was A LOT of moisture on the floor and walls, but the air conditioning was on and cool. Went to the front desk and a maintenance man came to see what was going on. At first he was as perplexed as we were, then he changed a dial on the air conditioner to DRY (did not know that was a different option), this took care of the issue. Floors were pretty dirty we found out because we moped up the moisture with a hand towel and rags the maintenance guy brought. The bed seemed clean and the bathroom was clean and they were quick to fix the issue we had.
