- House (8/5): It was rea - The name The sun
- Welch (9/5): Great value including everything I needed and I will be returning again in the future. - I really liked the trust the staff had in booking the hotel room. It was very retro and hard to find in this world now. Its flexible unlike other establishments. The staff was nice and daily housekeeping is a reality. Some of the surrounding area has a "Paradise" feel. Its just another day!

- Glen (10/5): IT WAS AMAZING AND IM DEFINITELY COMING BACK AGAIN - I didn’t expect the separate bedroom, and it was perfect because we had a female with us. All of the staff were friendly. The only thing was just that the remote for the TV didn’t have buttons work but they had an actual Tv remote that worked so it all worked out.
- Sebastian (1/5): completely filthy - nothing notable dirty ass floors. shower don’t drain. shit stain sheets. 0 effort put into cleaning
- Michael (10/5): - A little rough around the edges. But I stay here often and it works for what it is
- Joseph (5/5): Passable -
- Brigitte (1/5): I have travelled to many places around the world ... this was an awful experience at this property. - Nothing! This Prpoerty should be removed from Booking.com site!! The propertys is used as a local "FLOP HOUSE" in a very Bad location. And my colleagues and I didn't know that this was a Horrible Property until we arrived! Due to the SUPER BOWL had brought in so many people to New Orleans ... we were stuck. The facility is Dirty, Broken Down and Not Worth what we Paid for the Room! It was taking in people for SUPER BOWL bookings that SHOULD NOT HAVE! The Room Rate was Not Acceptable for what the place presented.
- Stephanie (2/5): Very poor - This staff was nice and pleasant The stains on the furniture fabric was really nasty.Kitchen area wasn't clean Of the fixtures Or super dirty hole in the wall. If a one night emergency but. Definitely at $29 motel.

- Joseph (10/5): - It was a nice place to stay
- Erica (1/5): I do not recommend AT ALL! - Nothing Ice machine was down. Rooms dirty. When I tell I went in there and cleaned the whole place you should see how dirty the towels were. On top of that the ran out of towels. They not gone let you check in early at all. So don’t try it.
- Vashti (2/5): - if i could rate this place 0 stars i would. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! this property is unsafe, dirty, run down and over priced. I took a solo trip to New orleans and was placed here last minute due to a mishap on Expedia and the hotels part. I was told by multiple locals that the motel is where prostitutes and pimps reside to the point locals feared for my safety. There was constant yelling, fights and people clearly off of drugs. I even walked to the gas station directly across the street when I was heading back multiple men pulled into the motel proving the prostitution allegations If you are not
completely desperate broke and have no other options i STILL wouldn’t even advise staying here
- Victoria (1/5): Bad -
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Washington (5/5): Passable -
- Jeffrey (4/5): - Poor condition
- Kyle (2/5): - Very unclean and terribly unsafe. There was a murder just outside our motel room in the middle of the night and we had to vacate and we didn't even get a refund for the inconvenience.
- Tim (1/5): Bad - - noisy
- unsafe, shady at night
- broken security gate (at first, you think it's good there's a security gate, but the lock is broken, so anyone can get in or out)
- Michael (8/5): - There was a lot of drug activity and prostitution around the hotel area however the hotel itself had security and kept the people off the property.
- matthew (6/5): - The people that run it are super nice and accommodating, but the people renting rooms are sketchy and weird. The entire area is sketchy and honestly, ghetto. Kinda wish it said I’d be staying in literally the 9th ward. The property itself was ok, a bit run down and given the good old landlord special. But it was clean.
- Acharya (8/5): Very good -
- Jones (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (4/5): - There was no hot water!!! Very few towels and needed repairs!!!
- Tori (1/5): The WORST stay EVER!! Infested with rodents - Nothing. It was filthy. Rodent feces everywhere Roaches, rodent feces all over room and kitchen . Blood and fluid on sheets
- Robert (10/5): - Quiet place
- Barbara (6/5): - It was behind times
- Behre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Israel (2/5): - The room was very dirty the sheets had old stains on them. The area in general is unsafe. There is a gate around the property but It does keep the property safe. The new owners there do genuinely try to help but they do not have control yet
- Ethan (2/5): - Did not stay was most horrific nasty, cockroaches, holes in wall, dirty place. I left and asked for refund
- Venkat (1/5): Bad -
- Gerald (2/5): - Nothing crappiest hotel I’ve ever been to hookers in the parking lots woke up to a customer and management screaming about how the guest had been bitten by rats dirty and in a very bad area
- Loshon (2/5): - Sheets dirty and bugs
- Robert (8/5): - Good value
- Brittany (2/5): - There were roaches. Burn marks in the blanket and on the tables and walls. Holes in the walls. Construction noise literally from 8 in the morning til 7 at night. Multiple days. Sheets were dirty and covered in stains and hair.old in the bathroom. And so much more but I don't have enough time to list everything.
- Raheem (10/5): - Nice
- Micheal (10/5): - Was a clean room, economical rate, and friendly staff. Comfortable bed and quiet. Enjoyed our night stay.
- William (2/5): - There where roaches in the room bathroom and room was not sanitized or clean bedding had cigarette burns air conditioner didn't work
- Lawander (6/5): Get what u pay for - Staff nice good value Roaches everywhere, keep lights on at night.
- Hogg (8/5): Very good -
- Timothy (8/5): Very good -
- Eddie (10/5): - Thanks
It was a nice spot to stay I enjoyed the room
- Janaea's (4/5): it wasn’t comfortable. when I would leave the sheets were never changed just put onto the bed. - the space the cleaning. the refrigerator was moldy inside of it. the stove did not work properly the floors didn’t look clean and neither was the sheets. the couch that was in the room wasn’t cleaned. and there was prostitution happening across the street and the prostitutes were coming over to the motel.
- Seralathan (8/5): - Very good staff and AC was good
- Renee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brooks (10/5): Motel - A great value No complaints
- Andrew (1/5): Bad -
- Frederick (1/5): Don't not stay here they will try to kidnap you - Nothing it was the worse experience ever They called the police on my mother who was blind I have never felt so ashamed be called a human because they treated me nothing like a human I was only short $5 and was bringing it but have the nerve to to let prostitutes and drug dealers stay there rent free
- Katelyn (1/5): Bad -
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Stayed Mardi Gras weekend expecting it to be crazy busy and run down. It was pretty mellow and the room wasn't bad for the value. It was the apartment style room and it was fine for me and a buddy. Another could have slept on the couch. I called back to ask the hotel something and the guy on the phone was super kind. It's a budget hotel so not fancy. The shower was weird. There were some holes in the baseboard and the fridge didn't work.
- Chaithanya (1/5): Bad -
- Maurice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (3/5): Poor -
- Frederick (1/5): Bad -
- Wahab (1/5): Bad -
- Frederick (1/5): Bad - Nothing horrible I couldn't even through my party cause of the druggies and prostitutes that kept trying to come in. And I told the hotel lady and she just looked at me. And then told me to go away The nasty lady that had the nasty attitude it made no sense to be that rude to someone
- ANTONIO (2/5): - Nothing, never goes back ever, dirty bathroom, shower handle was broken, refrigerator didn't work, room smells like dead body and they charge me a leg and an arm. Do not stay in this place for your safety. This place should be demolished.
- Pasco (1/5): Bad -
- Megan (1/5): Bad -
- Vaishnavi (2/5): Very poor -
- Adriana (8/5): - Hospitality was very nice.
- Kelsey (1/5): Bad -
- Robert (5/5): Passable -
- Veaceslav (6/5): - You get what you pay for. Rooms are old and smoked in. No coffee machine in my room. Outlets are falling out of the walls. Water pressure was low. Floors were sticky. Walls have poorly patched holes in them. Overall I wouldn’t bring my kids here. But if you’re here by yourself for work just to spend the night - go for it.
- Lopamudra (5/5): Passable -
- Pamela (8/5): Very good -
- Letisha (1/5): Bad -
- Amanda (2/5): - DO NOT stay here!! This place is horrible!! It should not wven be open. The neighborhood/street are not safe or clean. There are women all over “working the streets” even in the hotel parking lot. We walked into the room, turned back around and left. It stunk and there was an open electrical box. Sleeping at the airport was better than this place and that is exactly where we slept. Our Uber driver was hesitant to leave us there!!
- Roderica (2/5): - This is the worst place ever. The pictures must where take back in 1921 and I promise u they have not updated anything. Someone even got shot behind the building and we couldn’t get in or out for hours because they had the whole building taped off. We where looking for somewhere to stay in New Orleans the night b4 our cruise we didn’t no the area and relied on Expedia for that we saw ppl check on and check out which we should have did but I don’t like confrontations and the lady already had made me pay $44 extra dollars cause she said Expedia book the wrong room and we where tied from driving as we walked in stepping on roaches no one took luggage out the car. We where gonna leave but after the shooting it was to late So we stayed up scared to even go to bathroom that was nasty waiting to get on ship. Please if anyone see this stay away from this place!!!!!!!
- Derek (2/5): Avert! Avoid! - This place is disgusting!
- Dannette (2/5): - It was dirty was not cleaned prior to checking in dirt all over the floor not worth 350 bucks at all it was a 60 dollar hotel for the price of a 4 star hotel
- Jose (8/5): - Not enough parking.
- Keanu (10/5): - The hotel is a niece place to sleep at if u want a cheap hotel its like 65$
- Keanu (6/5): - I liked my stay but the hotel is dirty and has roches
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pros: room was clean, air conditioner worked extremely well, hot water was available, TV provided (with a guide), check-in and -out process was easy, bus route to downtown available, nearby stores for food.
Cons: loud neighbors (which is obviously out of the motel’s control), had to reset card one time.
Overall I had a very nice stay here and it was cheap. It’s a little further from downtown bus as I stated above there is a bus route available. I would definitely stay again!
- Tyrone (10/5): Relax - Pieceful
