Guest Reviews
- Patrice (1/5): Hotel overbooked reservation annullée -
- Swanger (6/5): Make it short - The man at the front desk was very polite and helpful House cleaning would not give me clean linens even after paying for it
- Tiffany (1/5): Never again!! - The price and location I saw several roaches between the lobby and my room. I was completely disgusted. The bathroom doorknob was broken and there was a hole in the wall behind the main door.
- Greg (4/5): - Room was clean No bedside lamps, no hairdryer, no soap, no coffee machine with coffee available, no artwork room was very plain, lots of marijuana smokers around the room and in the hallways.
- katybM7142BG (10/5): Incredible staff - I’ve been staying at the hotel for about a week now and I’m very happy with my stay. I had some issues with the original room I was in and the staff moved me with no issues. When I go up to the front desk I feel like I’m talking to friends. So far each staff member I’ve interacted with has had the perfect amount of professionalism and realness; like visiting a friend at work.
I’m the kind of person who just doesn’t love public interactions but here I look forward to having to speak to the front desk
- Joshua (3/5): paying full price when stuff didn't work and couldn't get clean towels was absolutely unacceptable - location and decent amenities for the price cable didn't work at first, air conditioning didn't work at all. gave us 2 towels for 3 people for 3 days and wouldn't give me anymore because of an apparent linens shortage...lol so we had to share towels for 3 days. no towels no a/c and cable that had to be fixed led to worst hotel experience yet. I've stayed in cheaper more rundown places that i didn't have to deal with all of that and on top they offered no discount or refund. full price for not all i was supposed to receive.
- JIMENEZ (10/5): -
- Steven W (8/5): -
- Mike (5/5): -
- Amanda (6/5): Get what you pay for 😮💨 - Being on the ground floor $25 per day for my dog...I paid over half of what I paid for the room for my dog. Never has a hotel charged me $225 non-refundable pet fee for ANY stay
- Raymond (5/5): It was clean and price was reasonable but would likely not stay here again. - The room was very clean. I arrived 15 minutes earlier than my estimated time - couldn't check in. Had to wait until my estimated ETA before clerk would let me check in. Needed to see my license. Whatever for? No breakfast, no pool, no workout room. Tub had an annoying drip; had to close bathroom door. And the location was behind two other businesses; not exactly off the main road.
- rbC2112HL (10/5): Extended stay America review - Convenient location to highway, 4 to 6 min drive to grocery store. Also public transportation right out. Staff always available at front desk or by phone. Good price.
- Douglas (6/5): - I had to pay $40 for a pot and pan with lid and a can opener. I'm on vacation. Do you think i'm going to pack it in my luggage to bring it home? How ridiculous. If you are staying there 2 weeks or more, being able to use the stove to cook your food, because you don't want to eat out EVERY meal, should be able to have a pot and pan as part of the time that you are there, at no cost. If there less than 2 weeks, put a $40 hold on the cooking equipment at check-in and released the hold charge when they check-out.
- Don (6/5): The Sheets Were Off! - the laundry setup was there and costs $4.50 per wash and $4.50 per dry. I didn't use the laundry facility. Regarding staff friendliness, on a scale of 1 to 10. I would rate them a 31/2 to 4. I was handed a single face towel after checking in. The clerk told me they were out of towels and in case my room didn't have any. Four my seven day stay. I ask but did not receive any fresh sheets or towels.
- Tevice (10/5): - Good cheap place to stay if long term stay
- I7543ISjasonp (10/5): Will definitely stay again! - It is a nice, clean, inexpensive, calm and convenient location to stay within walking distance of several gas stations and restaurants. The rooms include a full-size fridge, two burner stove top, a microwave, a desk to work from, free or upgradable wi-fi, and free Dish TV, with the ability to add your streaming services. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The cost savings of staying there is amazing!
- Mary (1/5): - disgusting facility with NO service No housekeeping you have to take your own trash to the dumpster. I left in the middle of the night due to people noises. I feel traumatized. toilet paper on the floor of the elevator, ripped chair NO kitchen supplies.
- Andrea (2/5): Don’t stay here - I checked in and the guy at the desk was nice. But you have to buy pots and pans. The toilet wasn’t working and roaches came out of the light socket next to the bed
- shauncE5986NR (10/5): Home away from home - The room is very clean and comfortable. Nice space to cook and prepare meals. It has been a pleasurable experience. There's a full size sink in the kitchenette and a large, queen bed that's great for relaxing while watching shows on the modern television.
- meredithk831 (10/5): Really enjoy living here - I’ve been living here for a few months and I love it. The staff is really kind and helpful. I like that I can have my dog here. My neighbors are all nice. I think this is the best extended stay hotel in the area. There are six washers and six dryers and they’re open 24/7. The last extended stay there was only one of each and it was only available certain hours. My favorite thing here is the flooring. It’s so much cleaner than a hotel with carpet. You can pay a small fee for linens or wash them yourself. I prefer to use my own. They sell pots and pans. The bus stop is nearby, along with ample parking and two gas stations in walking distance. It’s got everything you need.
- laurahA6167IT (10/5): Home away from home. - After my stroke I could not do stairs, some home was not an option. So, I had to stay here, where there is an elevator. The staff has gone above and beyond helping me! I have been here 2 months and I had tried 2 other hotels in the area before I found this one. It is close by to many places and walking distance to restaurants and gas stations.
- Justus (10/5): - I liked the laundry room and I greatly appreciated Melissa and Jesse
- John (6/5): - Hard to find the hotel. Took a long time to get a hotel staff to sign me in.
- Nikki (8/5): - The room was nice and clean however the TV did not work or connect and even after calling the office it was never fixed. There was a very loud party outside until well after 4am the night we stayed with yelling and loud music so it was difficult to sleep with nothing to even drown out the noise.
- josevP557PN (10/5): Perfectly basic and simple. - I'm a solo traveler who needed a place to find quickly. Staying here has been easy and accommodating. Staff has been extremely friendly. Room is pretty basic, but that is all I need, so it is rather perfect. Fellow guests have also been kind and polite. All in all, a great place when you need a nice room.
- Kevin (2/5): All-around Unacceptable - They allowed a gender reveal party to be held in the parking lot that went on until nearly 2:30am with music loud enough to be heard throughout the entire hotel. There was blood on the wall and floor of the elevator. Sink in the room leaked. TV did not work. Recommend you about at all costs
- Sharita (1/5): Don’t stay there if you don’t want to deal with roaches - Roach invested Roach invested
- Julie (6/5): - Staff were quick and polite. Bed was awful and room floor was filthy
- Phillip (4/5): - Very dark room, lumpy overused mattress, elevator out of order at checkout, room entrance door did not lock securely. The good news is that guy who helped me check in on Saturday evening was friendly thorough and clearly a nice guy
- Luz (1/5): It was terrible wouldn’t recommend would not refund - The location There were a lot of things that were not working tv and light
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not great! - Floors were not mopped, no actual hand towels (we were given wash clothes for hand towels. No ironing board or iron.
No breakfast of anykind.
Staff at check in leaves at ten and arrive the next morning at ten.
We would not recommend this place if you prefer cleanliness. The only plus was the staff was very friendly....
- Alexis (10/5): - it is by far the best hotel experience my mom and i have ever had we were treated very nicely and very professional. when we got to our room it was extremely clean and very comfortable for us both. a hundred percent gonna be going there more often.
- Patricia (6/5): - The room was very clean except there was a credit/debit card glued to the side of the tub. My room was not available at check in or 4.5 hrs later. I did get an upgrade, though. No staff available for an early morning check out.. window was closed.
- Emily (2/5): - The room stunk like cigarettes
- Tim (2/5): Will never stay again. - The front desk staff was great and location was good. No coffee available in room or lobby. Bed was so uncomfortable. We could feel the springs when laying down. Comforter was stained.
- Eathen (3/5): Disappointed - The room was clean until further inspection. There was mold under the chair and roaches on the sink and floors
- braysuaveb (10/5): Best staff ever - Best place to rest ur head and feel comfortable. Everyone here is nice and welcoming. The staff is very very nice.
The general manager ‘Michelle is the best manager there is. The maintenance man always greets me. Fast working and nice. I love it here
- Tami (1/5): Bad - Nothing it was nasty broken down equipment starting with the door It smelled and dogs barking all the time
- Kellen (8/5): Very good -
- Kellen (8/5): Very good -
- debra (2/5): - Ladies at the front desk were very nice, but that was the only good thing about this hotel. It’s very dirty and smelled heavily of some sort of chemical, thought not sure what. Did not feel comfortable staying there, nor could I breathe well from the smell.
- Rose (5/5): Passable - No breakfast there the bed locations to everything near by. Floor not mop roaches in the room in bathroom on the wall.micro wave not clean kitchen sink and bathroom sink water drain slow. More the roaches
- Kellen (8/5): Very good -
- 418meaghanh (10/5): Customer Service from Jesse - Jesse was awesome! He was very helpful when I was re-reserving my room for another week and I had to call an extended stay customer service number. Excellent service, great person. I am a happy customer! Thanks for the easy experience Jesse!
- Tyshira (10/5): Amazing 🤩 - Everything peace and quiet
- Q2854QFtiml (10/5): Jesse does an amazing job. - Jesse is a wonderful person. He does an amazing job a d he's good at what he does. He makes it a really great place to stay and greets the guests with respect. Just a all around great person. I'll recommend coming here just a great place all around
- Ferner (9/5): Superb -
- Rose (1/5): Bad - it was quite the manger wasnt at the desk for an hour
- Cyril (8/5): - Good
- T5453LBjacquelineb (10/5): Staff is very friendly and helpful an has been helpful since my extended stay with them since February of 2024 to curren - Elevator could be a bit better but understandable especially since there are 4 floors
The front desk staff a mostly respectful an so is the housekeeping only wish that they would except
ESA paperwork for animals to cut out pet fees hot water is sometimes Luke warm
- Stephanie (3/5): Poor -
- brandy (2/5): - I booked online . Was not able to get my room
until 11pm. i arrived at 1030 pm. The attendant stated she had 30 minutes to come check me in because it was consider after hours. No where on expedia that it stated that after hour check in had to wait. Attendant was rude. parking lot was full of ice . No salt was on the ground.
- Jonathan (2/5): - The staff is lazy. The
- natashavO2385JO (10/5): Wonderful stay - I love it here it is so clean and comfortable and the staff is so helpful and nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. They allow pets too. It's also very quiet. It's right next to the highway exit. There's a great amount of TV channels also.
- Adam (2/5): - Drain was clogged no one would come un clog, no towels in room no one would bring them up.
- David (1/5): Bad - Never got foom. Facility sayys payment from booking did not go through.
- Adam (8/5): - Excellent pricing.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional -
- williamq784 (10/5): Service With a Smile! - My stay has been very comfortable. Close to work & a good distance from various grocery stores & restaurants. The staff is friendly & professional, office is closed at night but there is always hotel staff on call when needed. All walks of life live & frequent at this location, but Michelle, Jessie & the rest of the staff are always courteous & give great service.
- Jayme (2/5): - The room smelled like cigarettes even though it was suppose to be smoke free. It has a kitchenette but absolutely nothing in it. When I asked for a spoon they acted like that was a ridiculous request.
- E4794WOninaw (10/5): Love this place! - I would definitely recommend this place. My children and I have been here since march ‘23 and have nothing bad to say. The staff is super friendly and super helpful. The hotel is always clean as well. You’re not just a room number here but a person. They will address you by name. If we are ever in a bad spot again we will definitely stay again.
- Ruth (6/5): - The room was very nice. Clean and well laid out. Bathroom light was not bright enough to see in the shower or to see in the mirror. Only one luggage cart for a four story hotel is ridiculous!!! Staff was very efficient and helpful.
- Dantonyo (4/5): - Lots of flies in the room in window seal loud noises fire alarms going off at 2am. Shady characters hanging around
- Carol (6/5): Bar bones place - No coffee pot in room. No hand towels. Missing drawer on dresser. Refrigerator door broken. Clean room but disappointed. No dishes in room. Most extended stay places have coffee cups & dishes.
- Jesse (10/5): - Walked in and the room was super clean, spotless. Strong shower and a comfy bed. A/C ran great. The leather chain had some minor cracks. Didnt use the kitchen.
- marciaaD131SL (10/5): Excellent hotel - Comfy beds, good wifii, nice laundry room to wash laundry if needed and located right off the highway near many resturants and shopping malls. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the Grand Rapids, West Michigan area.
- Bernard (8/5): Very good - Value and location
- Maggie (6/5): Pleasant - They charged my debit card, even though it was paid in full. Would not under when I explained the situation. Good thing the bank declined the transaction. Asked to have a manager call me back, which never happened!
- Simone (4/5): I’ll sleep in my car next time. - I arrived and there was no front desk, I finally called the hotel number and someone came down to check me in and they were very unfriendly like I was interrupting something else. They were doing more important.. The room was filthy. The fridge was nasty. I had to get wipes and wipe everything down and if you look at the pictures, you will see one of the wipes I use just to wipe the table. The last straw was the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night around 2 AM for almost an hour. As a travel nurse I have frequented many ESA’s this by far has been the worst.
- Cassandra (4/5): - The entire building smells of Marijuana. Bums are hanging around outside. Felt unsafe.
- Michael (1/5): Bad -
- Luo (6/5): - Just ok
- Chris (4/5): It's poorly rated for a reason - The elevator worked Beds were uncomfortable. Room was dirty. Although it worked, the elevator was slow and felt like it was going to break everytime you used it. Very noisy being off the highway.
- jeff (4/5): - Dogs barking in the next room at 3am was just peachy
- Latosha (1/5): Had never stayed at such an unpleasant hotel. Dirty, no staff available, 2 dirty rags and tables no. - I didn’t like anything at this facility Everything
- Lindong (4/5): Disappointing -
- Lindong (1/5): Bad -
- London (2/5): - Room was dirty. It smelled, the window was broken, the tv didn’t work and the bathroom was dirty. The tub and sink weren’t clean. I refused to stay in the room. When I brought it to the attention of the desk clerk, he said that he could offer me a refund or a broom. Needless to say, I took the refund. Wouldn’t ever recommend staying here to anyone.
- marciaaA806VI (10/5): Excellent hotel - Excellent hotel for long term or a one night stay. It's clean, quiet and comfortable. The front desk staff is attentive to the needs of the guests. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Grand Rapids area short term or long term.
- E934XFdanielleb (10/5): Awesome - Excellent staff, very helpful and will do what they can to make your stay comfortable and nice. And the rooms are the best your going to find especially for the price. 10/10 very clean as well. I would def recommend this hotel to anybody who is staying for a week or a day
- William (10/5): - Very clean
- Felicia (4/5): - I guess I shouldn’t complain because I paid $73.00 on short notice for the room, but the floors had not been cleaned/swept there was visible dirt on the entire floor and neither had the toilet or sink been cleaned. There was red stuff smeared in the sink and stuff left on the toilet. I went to the neighboring gas station to use the restroom. I’m only sleeping here for a night so I’m settling but I don’t know if I’d return until the “housekeeping needed” sign disappears. Also had a random woman knock on my door asking for someone around 8:30 PM which was unsettling because she seemed out of it.
- Leticia (10/5): - New building, rooms look great!
- Angela (1/5): Bad -
- Larry (8/5): Good - Clean room, but smoke smells in halls and elevator. Need to clean the air in hotel
Good area, safe parking
- Catherine (2/5): Don't bring your kids - The lobby smelled like poop. The front desk agent was wearing a wrinkly outfit that looked like a little girls Brownie outfit. Poor guy. Most of the rooms were occupied with homeless people living out of the rooms. Lots of crazy stuff in the parking lot that was illegal... I would never take a child there.
- Allan (8/5): - Overall good stay, staff was very helpful even after hours
- Steven (2/5): - Room very dirty was not clean and very loud
- Bill (10/5): Exceptional - The room was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed staying there for sure and definitely will be back.
- H9740HIjunes (8/5): Long term stay - Initially the floor in my room was very dirty, but was cleaned right away when I complained. The side doors to the building have been broken for months which makes it inconvenient when your room is on the end of the building.
The staff have all been very friendly and helpful. They always address any concerns in a timely and friendly manner. The machine that programs the keys was broken for 6 weeks which meant staff had to let me in my room every time and they were very friendly and helpful every time.
I would definitely stay here again because of the outstanding staff.
- 702kristopherh (10/5): Temporary housing - The Management and Front desk friendly and very helpful and great to work with. Always have a smile even when they have had rough days. Always asking if we need anything to make our stay better and comfortable. Could not ask for a better staff to work with
- Ross (1/5): I’m homeless and of rather freeze outside then stay there for free . - When I left seeing it in my rear view mirror Everything
- Ross (1/5): A two night three day trip to hell with the horseman named pestilence - Nothing Price switching and office bothering me about noise complaints when it obviously wasn’t me, over and over. Nasty smell in room, refrigerator didn’t work, heater didn’t work. No toiletries
- Mirko (7/5): Good - there was no fridge in the room
- Heather (5/5): Overall it wasn't bad, but it won't be my first choice next time unless I'm bringing my dog. - There was no breakfast offered. The room had no lights in the bathroom and when we called the front desk we were told that they couldn't do anything about it until the morning because they had no maintenance on site. We also had to wait over half an hour for extra towels and wash cloths. That was very unexpected. Could have maintenance on site, front desk staff 24/7 and better laundry facility.
- Julie (4/5): - The front desk closing at 8 is not very convenient. Card coder was broken so someone had to let me in my room. No shampoo but a note saying you could call the front desk and the front desk is closed. I called and bo one answered. The room was ok but reminded me more of a hospital room than a hotel room.
- Kemmie (1/5): Bad - I left the property. It smelled, nosie, the toilet was dirty, staff wasn't available at all after checking in, the floor was dirty room smelled of cigarettes.
- Kathlyn (5/5): I would stay again in a pinch - Staff was friendly Right next to the freeway LOUD ALL day- about 3 am
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Customer service was excellent!
- marciaaD131SL (10/5): You wont find a better dealy - My husband and I are currently staying here and have been here for several months. I highly recommend this hotel to ANYONE- long term guests and overnight guests. You will not find a nicer, cleaner hotel for the price. The room layout is nice and having a kitchen is wonderful. The manager Michelle and her team have went above and beyond several times and have far exceeded my expectations.
