• Allan (7/5): Excellent and helpful staff. Good breakfast, comfortable rooms. Parking. Priced a bit too high - I've stayed here several times and the location is really good. When they are busy, parking can be an issue, but they do their best to make sure you can park on property (it wasn't busy this time). The breakfast is good, though they could offer real coffee instead of instant (it begins at 7 am). The receptionist (Thai woman with round glasses) who seems to be there around the clock is excellent and very helpful. There is both a small fridge and tiny safe in the room. Walking around the area isn't recommended due to the number of soi dogs that congregate (it's opposite a temple). There is no 7-ELEVEN or modern convenience stores or good restaurants within walking distance, so anyway you really need a car or motorcycle - even though the main shopping centre is very close. I could be wrong, but for this stay the room price seemed to have increased to more than what it's worth IMO. If you need a full service hotel, and if willing to pay a bit more there are many other choices. Perhaps time to renovate the rooms/bathrooms and change the heavy wooden chairs.

• Edward (8/5): - Fantastic staff!!! 10/10 for staff. Helpful and happy. Nice to have a small balcony on the room. Nice for relaxing morning or evening. Beds are firm in Thai fashion. Great location except the traffic and DOGS! Dogs bark almost all night and traffic doesn’t really stop. Not always easy to sleep. I will stay here again but ear plugs and padding for the bed will be required. Decent price for a budget hotel. Toast, juice and coffee free in the morning was nice. Again the staff were AMAZING!

But bring earplugs and be careful of l - Lovely people, excellent breakfast, good large room with balcony, quick walk to Central Plaza shops. Quite noisy with the street below a thoroughfare for motorcyclists. Also (and this is not the fault of the hotel) there are many dangerous, aggressive dogs in the streets near the hotel. I like to walk and this made me feel uncomfortable about walking.

• Chuchaiz (5/5): Passable - I booked the hotel due to its proximity to the Central Shopping center. But I did not manage to go at the end. The consolation would be a great coffee place nearby with fabulous vibes. When I arrived at 9pm from Bangkok and was dead tired. After checking in I realised the hotel does not has any lift and my room is on the 3rd floor and I had to carry my 2 bags totaling more than 20kg up to the rooms. I then noticed that there were no mineral water provided as per normal hotels in Thailand. I was only provided with a small kettle that could boil for 1.5 cups of water. I stayed for 2 nights so the next day they did provide me water bottle, I guess they forgot for the first day. After shower I went looking around for hair dryer but it wasn't to be found and I asked the staff and they just said nope. Not provided.

• Armin (10/5): Great time in Khon Kaen - Walking distance to Central Plaza, where tuk-tuk and taxis are. The staff is wonderful, very friendly and very helpful in proving information on local events.

• Dave (7/5): Ok - No lift. I have a medical issue with one of my knees and walking up a set of stairs is difficult and more so difficult when I have to carry a suitcase up there too and no staff to do that as was the case at this hotel.

A simple breakfast of coffee, toast and fruit was provided (which was a surprise) with more substantial items available to buy. I would definitely stay here again.
