• steven (6/5): Good position but no tea/coffee facilities in room - The receptionist spoke perfect English, and offered my wife the use of a brolly as it was raining. The bed was comfortable, and the room was ok. There was a coffee/tea machine near the foyer, but I have narked it down because it doesnt take a lot to have facilities in the room. Apart from that, the hotel was fine, be it we stayed 1 night only. Its in a perfect position within the town centre.

• Jeffrey (6/5): Not a good night sleep - Room was basic, air conditioning was useless and the fan they supplied. Kept you awake all night. So unfortunately at the hotel, for 2 nights and slept about 4 hours. €219 for 2 nights and it was advertised with air conditioning ( but what they failed to tell you was, the air conditioning was useless,) it would come on for approximately 30 seconds, then turn itself off so when you're in a room that is approximately 36° and they supply a noisy fan that just blows warm air. So unfortunately, not a very good stay

• MARTIN (10/5): Arras 2 night memorials visit - Excellent, very convenient town centre location in Arras. Staff really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast, although not a wide offering of cooked food, was more than sufficient as well as fresh and healthy. Scrambled eggs very well cooked. Would thoroughly recommend and would stop again.

• Sorcha (6/5): - The room was clean and adequate but a bit too small. I didn't have space to open a large suitcase anywhere in the room. There was a small shelf under the tv and I collided into it trying to squeeze by the foot of the bed The room was clean but very utilitarian - more like a room in an institution of some kind. It was cold in Arras and the heat was turned off, making for a very chilly night my first night. I spoke to the front desk and got a space heater for the next night. The staff were kind and helpful and it is definitely serviceable but not necessarily 'cozy'. The breakfast the next morning was pretty minimal.

• C (10/5): Perfect for a stopover - Check-in lady was friendly and helpful with both check-in and parking. She also kindly showed me on a map where things were. We booked a twin as we always feel doubles are too small. The singles were long enough (6ft male). Only negative was it was very hot that day/night and the central aircon went off, so was pretty hot throughout night. Otherwise, great for a stopover hotel.

Room had 2 single beds which were comfortable. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel within easy walking distance of central plaza where there were many restaurants. Purchased morning breakfast for 10.5 Euro. Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, cheese, yogurts, croissants, juice and coffee and dry cereals.

It's not 5* and doesn't pretend to be, but for what it is, I think it's as good an example as I've experienced. Super friendly staff, everything working, great location, and excellent breakfast. Couldn't fault it - value for money? Phenomenal.

The room was smaller, but mainly because the “double“ bed turned out to be quite large (and very comfortable). You cannot beat the location - just steps from Heroes Square and reasonably priced.

(Parking took a bit longer, but not the fault of the hotel, Arras was very busy with the Christmas Market). The rooms were clean and comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful (just as needed after a long day). We enjoyed our stay, and the hotel was so convenient for the Christmas Market and the centre.

• J P A (10/5): One night in Arras - The hotel is in a very central location in the beautiful city - however the whole central area is pedestrianised and the nice lady from Google maps could not find it. We asked loads of people and eventually found the hotel on foot. The bedroom is very small but perfectly adequate and clean, as is the bathroom. Breakfast in the small restaurant was excellent although it was very busy.

• Lawrence (4/5): Poor value for money - disappointing stay - We stayed at this hotel for our last night of our vacation. Arras is a pleasant town, and the hotel is actually very conveniently located. The rooms are beyond small, the decor is very, very basic, and the amenities in the room are essentially non-existent (no kettle, no safe). The service was fine and the hotel is definitely clean, but the rooms were not a pleasant place to be, and definitely not what we would consider comfortable. If the pricing was 50-65% of what we paid, then we’d understand, but we had just come from an Ibis Styles hotel in another town, where we’d paid almost exactly the same and stayed in a hotel that was not even on the same planet. Ultimately a disappointing end to our holiday.

Not a problem as the weekend parking is free so did not have to move the car. So close to the main square 2 mins walk. We did not have breakfast but what we saw it was very good and lots of it. Will definately use this hotel again.

It has a cosy feel, helpful staff, comfortable bed, good wifi, and elevator. Walking distance to the train station, grocery store, tourism office and more. All of this, when considering the price, makes this a highly recommended hotel.

Rooms are from the 80’s, the Dinner Menu had all items unavailable bar one which I think I saw the staff just microwaving and putting on a plate, at checkout I had the rudest girl chuck the receipt at me. Apologies I can’t speak French.. but if it makes you that angry perhaps don’t work in hospitality in a town frequented by English speaking people!
• Elaine (10/5): - This property is 1 block from the main square, 1/2 a block from a church (where I inadvertantly crashed a wedding) and quick walking distance from the train station. By the way, do not trust the prices you see online for the trains as many are bogus.

• Jodilen (6/5): - While the staff were great, the pictures of the rooms did not match the real thing. The room was so small there was no room anywhere but on the bathroom floor, or the bed to place your suitcases. You barely had enough room to walk around the bed on all three sides. The bed itself was uncomfortable, due to the fact that the “foamy’s” they’ve put on the mattress were two singles, so kept splitting in the middle of the night. The tub was really, really tiny, and very, very high to get into. My mother would never have been able to get in or out without assistance. The staff were amazingly helpful, even put my medicine that needed to be kept cold in the downstairs fridge (thank you). The best part of this hotel was the staff and their amazing breakfasts, worth every penny! For the price, the room just didn’t cut it. But where this hotel is situated is perfect!

Friendly staff, very good breakfast, and possibly the most comfortable bed & pillow we've ever had in a hotel. No parking at the hotel, but we found 'on-street' parking a 5 minute walk away. Would definitely stay here again if/when we return to Arras. Good value for money.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - Ideally placed for visiting the city. Unfortunately the hotel could do with a bit of a make-over. It's a bit tired and scruffy. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably clean but lack any facilities like kettle or clock. For an over night stop it's probably fine but for a longer stay it's not so good. It's a shame really because everything else is pretty good. There is a nice bar and food is available but we didn't eat here. Come on Ibis shape up you should be better than this. Get the paint brush out and buy some kettles.

• Louise (8/5): 2 night stay in February - Great location hotel and communal areas fantastic. Bathrooms in need of updating and some of the rooms are rather small for 2 people. eg 206 Breakfast - great choice of bread, pastries, continental meat and cheese plus fresh fruit, yoghurt and boiled eggs available. Hotel was very warm and cosy and a 2 min walk to Grand Place etc
• Laura (6/5): Safety in the shower needed - Having stayed in the brand before, the room was as expected. Clean and comfortable, however the doorknob into the bathroom was very sticky. I found the side of the bathtub to be higher than normal, making it a little dangerous to step in and out of when showering, as there was no place to hold on. I grabbed for the door knob, but found the bathroom door did not hold in its latch, so the door started to swing out as I grabbed it. An accident waiting to happen..............

• Carol (10/5): Excellent service close to centre - Centrally located just off the Grande Place, where there were loads of cafes, bars and restaurants. Comfortable, clean room. Staff were friendly, helpful and tolerant of my bad French. Self-guided walking tour of the old town was fun (following the "clous") and informative. If you need to park in the Grande Place during the day it can be expensive.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Nice hotel let down by horrid room. - The hotel is fairly modern and check-in was quick and easy with pleasant staff. The room was bad - stank of smoke, cigarette burn marks on furniture, a light fitting was hanging off the (dirty) wall and the bathroom floor was dirty. Breakfast was fine, small selection but well presented.
• Andrew (10/5): A very pleasant stay in Arras - Ibis is well located in the centre of Arras, with ready access to car parking, restaurants and scenic and historic squares. We were a party of 20 family members and the small bar area was sufficient for us to gather socially and self serve breakfast was very well equipped. Some rooms were a little small if the third bed was set out.

Issues with booking as they claimed that they hadn’t received all of the details from Hotels.com but all sorted out by the very efficient receptionist. Room was very basic and a bit pokey but based on the price we paid we couldn’t really argue. We were doing a charity bike ride across WW1 battlefields and they couldn’t do enough to help us out with storing bikes and providing iced water - thank you

No face or hand towel. Bathroom was also small requiring a giant step into a bath tub to have a shower. No charging points for any devices. In short just no facilities of any kind

• marjorie (4/5): Go to Campanile! - The Ibis in Arras is locally centred which makes it ideal place-wise but our room was so small that is verged on being uncomfortable. The beds are fine, the bathrooms small and cramped. Our first time there. We usually stay in the Campanile further out of town and will revert to that next time

• Mandy (8/5): Good value family hitel - 8 of us stayed for a weekend visiting WW1 sites. We found Arras to be a central , friendly town, and the hotel was righ5 in the centre. Easy to walk to restaurants and cafes. The rooms are small, but adequate for sleeping. The mattresses were odd as they slipped off the beds in the night! But overall very comfortable.

• Robin (8/5): Clean, modern, centrally located budget hotel - A typical Ibis hotel - well modernised, spotlessly clean, friendly and helpful staff. The room was tiny with barely space to open two suitcases and essentially zero storage but the bathroom was modern and everything worked, bed comfortably firm and third floor view of the sky, reasonably quiet at night even with the window open. Biggest plus is the location, right between the Grand and Petit Place with huge choice of bars and restaurants and free parking at weekends (there is no hotel parking). A little tough to find the first time and no convenient vehicle unloading spot. Buffet breakfast pricey and inadequately supervised (things kept running out) but everything else was great value for a short-term stay.
