• Aleg (9/5): - Very beautiful territory, a pond with lotuses! The facilities are where you would expect them. No mosquitos in the location (unlike some other places on the island). Very helpful and polite staff. Nice pool (they even did a foam party once). The breakfast was good - asian dishes, fruits, pancakes, desserts etc. The small dining square with street market is just outside. Plenty of sunbeds on the beach. Reception is not air conditioned. The room options on booking.com make it unclear how a family of 4 ppl (2adults, 2 kids) can fit in a 2-people room. The beds are 2 single beds (as described, so no problem with that). We booked the room anyway and then we booked 1 extra bed (a fee is about 30% extra to the room price). We had to move 2 beds together ourselves (for 2a + 1 child). The room won't really fit the 4th bed (in case it is important for someone else). The extra bed was not comfortable - too hard, as it had no topper (the standard beds had toppers). My advice for the hotel - to add a specific option for 4 ppl and prepare the room accordingly (move beds, make sure all have toppers). Overall, we really enjoyed the stay! Thanks to all the staff!

• Robert (8/5): Nice hotel. Probably good place to stay if you're doing trips to other placeds in Phu Quoc. - Staff were friendly, check in easy. Room was clean enough. Restraunts in the resort were fairly priced. Nearby markets were nice and friendly, a lot less aggressive than other markets I've been to in South East Asia. Buffet breakfast was good. Food was of a high standard, with lots of variety (some changing each day). Plus, busy buy not annoyingly so. Beach was a dirty. Bits of plastic just floating along. Starts to get choppy from mid day, not terrible but a bit annoying. Bit of a walk from the main area to the main pool/beach. Swim up bar was alright but understaffed. The housecleaning didnt seem to change the sheets so that last night there the bedsheets were quite sandy.

The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options, fresh fruits, and both local and international dishes. The pool area is beautiful and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing during the day. The beach is clean, with soft sand and calm water — ideal for swimming. We also really enjoyed the spa, very professional service and a great way to unwind. Overall, the resort has a very comfortable and relaxing. Everything was generally very good.

• MandeepZeppy (10/5): Excellent Property, but Service & Staff Behaviour Needs Improvement - My stay at Novotel Phu Quoc Resort was a mixed experience. While the property and facilities are truly impressive and reflect a high standard of design and comfort, the overall experience was impacted significantly by inconsistent service. Check-in & Arrival Experience The check-in process was not as smooth as expected for a hotel of this category. There was a lack of proper briefing about the property, its amenities, and facilities, which left us figuring things out on our own. A more structured and welcoming orientation would have made a big difference. Property, Rooms & Amenities – Excellent The hotel itself is beautiful, with well-maintained infrastructure and thoughtfully designed spaces. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and equipped with all essential amenities. A special highlight is the swimming pools and the beach-front setting, which are truly outstanding. The access to the beach, combined with serene views, creates a relaxing and premium environment. Food & Dining Experience While the restaurant setup and offerings have potential, the experience was below expectations due to service shortcomings. One noticeable concern was the lack of basic hospitality gestures such as greeting guests. Additionally, there appeared to be inconsistent behaviour towards Indian guests, which was disappointing and should be addressed seriously. Service & Staff – Needs Improvement Service remains the biggest drawback of this property. Housekeeping and restaurant staff both require better training in guest handling and communication. There were clear language barriers that affected interactions, and overall responsiveness and courtesy levels were not in line with what one would expect from an Accor property. Staff need to be more attentive, welcoming, and professionally trained to deliver a consistent guest experience. Cleanliness & Maintenance The hotel maintains good standards of cleanliness across rooms and common areas, which is commendable. Location & Overall Ambience The beachfront location is a major advantage, offering a peaceful and scenic environment ideal for relaxation & near to Market just walking distance. Overall Experience Novotel Phu Quoc Resort has all the elements of a great 4–5 star property in terms of infrastructure, amenities, and location. However, the service experience falls short and significantly affects the overall stay. With improved staff training, better communication, and a more guest-centric approach, the hotel has the potential to deliver a much better experience. Currently, a 3-star experience due to service gaps despite excellent facilities.

• Dhaivat (9/5): Overall we did enjoy our stay! - We stayed at Novotel for 4 days and enjoyed our stay. Kids had a very good and fulfilling breakfast. *The kids used the gym and table tennis facilities everyday and absolutely loved it. *The staff is very good and offer generously buggy service to rooms and the Minh was always there with the biggest smile, seeing him just made our day. *There are direct buses to VinWonders, Grandworld & Safari. *Worth every cent spent, true value for money. *We had lunch everyday at the restaurant, as there were not many options for vegetarian food around. The chef did not have consistent food and every time the panini, pasta or salads were ordered, would come different. The food at the restaurant definitely lacked seasoning. *I found the location to be isolated from downtown with very few to vegetarian restaurants around. The spa and other services in this area are expensive too in comparison to Duong dong. There was maintenance issue though with the servicing of the air conditioner and the temp kept falling down.
• JBnGazontour (8/5): Lovely family getaway - We visited as a family of 4 (6yo and 4yo) and had a great stay. We opted for the Superior Suite, 1 Double Bed and put the kids to bed in the lounge. This worked well for us, but if you have older kids you'd probably need an interconnected room for the extra bedding and space. The room was clean and spacious with a really good sized balcony and the bed was very comfortable. In terms of the resort itself - it's big enough that it didn't feel busy, but not so big you can't get around. There are 2 good sized pools and our kids loved the "underwater scooters". There aren't a heap of loungers by the pool, so we did find it hard to get a space a few times. We loved the location which was only a short walk to a small night market with lots of restaurants. The market also had little cars for the kids which we could rent and let them drive around - super fun! The beach out front is calm and quiet - with no beach sellers, which was nice. It was very clean - although not pristine. We didn't partake in any of the activities. In terms of opportunity. We had a few issues with the housekeeping - they kept taking all our towels and only replacing some. This was even after we followed the instructions to not have them replaced at all! We also had to request extra water as apparently only 2 bottles were included daily, which is insufficient for 4 pax - thankfully, they rectified this. Finally, it seems that the pool restaurant is privately owned - so, you can't charge drinks/food to your room. We found this frustrating as we had to always carry a form of payment - which isn't always easy in your bathers! Overall, a very good family stay!

Room service was good but needed to ask for wine glasses, beer glasses, more coffee always. Location was great, right across from night market. Noise level was good. Personal service from desk was excellent. Ms. Hang and Mr. Vinh were exceptional. As a top rated bungalow room, I would expect more amenities for the price, hence only a 4 rating.

• peoch (6/5): Aceptable - El desayuno era completo y variado con opciones para todos los gustos, reponían productos frescos constantemente y se notaba que lo preparaban con mucho cariño. La cena del buffet no la probamos pero sí en el bar que estaba ok. La piscina tenía muy buen ambiente y el atardecer era precioso, la música no estaba mal. El camarero del bar de la piscina trabajaba sin parar. Los servicios del spa también son recomendables; probamos tres entre diferentes miembros de la familia y a todos nos gustó. La vegetación del hotel estaba preciosa y muy bien cuidada. La piscina de la parte de arriba tenía bastante encanto y estaba muy tranquila. La comida al medio día en el restaurante muy recomendable también, carta variada y bastante bueno. El servicio de limpieza era justito y tenían mucho descontrol. el suelo de las habitaciones no quedaba limpio y el de los pasillos del hotel estaba bastante sucio. La mayoría de los días pasaban a "limpiar" alrededor de las 16 horas cuando mis hijos pequeños estaban en la siesta... o los despertaban o directamente no la hacían. Otro día también llamaron al timbre muy temprano por la mañana para poner las toallas que se habían olvidado dos días atrás... el hotel estaba viejo y poco cuidado en cuanto al interior de la habitaciones, las cortinas muy sucias, las paredes y otros elementos como lámparas etc también, tenían óxido, telas de araña... los muebles se pelaban. También hay mucho ruido en las habitaciones, se escucha todo de la habitación de al lado, también hay un ruidio constante similar al de un motor durante toda la noche (posiblemente de los aires acondicionados) y por la mañana se ponen la música ya a las 5.30 en la zona del desayuno y se escucha perfectamente... imposible seguir durmiendo. El parque infantil era minúsculo y muyyy viejo, además tenía óxido. El kids club era amplio y los niños se entretenían si había otros niños; los juguetes son para niños muy pequeños. Las actividades guiadas eran algo repetitivas. Faltan elementos en el exterior para los niños. La piscina de al lado de la playa no estaba limpia. La playa daba pena... agua sucia y peces muertos :(

• Y654PYlindas (4/5): ATTENTION - Not a high-quality 5 star experience, more like a 3 star! - ATTENTION - The majority of the positive reviews are for the tour or spa services (and rightly so) - but are NOT positive for the actual resort itself! A 5-star hotel experience should provide a high level of comfort, attention to detail, and consistently well-maintained facilities. Unfortunately, our stay did not reflect that standard. First, the room amenities were not functioning or adequately stocked. The mini fridge in our room was broken and the replacement barely worked, forcing us to request an ice bucket every day just to keep drinks cold. Basic room equipment should function properly without requiring daily workarounds. In addition, simple kitchenette essentials such as a bottle opener and wine glasses were missing entirely. Secondly, the daily supplies did not match the number of guests booked. Our reservation was for two adults and one child, yet we consistently received only two bottles of water, two coffee sachets, two sugars, and two towels. These items were only replenished if used, rather than being provided according to the number of guests staying in the room. This meant we often had to source extra towels ourselves from housekeeping carts, which is not something guests should need to do at a hotel of this category. The condition of the bedding and linens also felt well below expectations. Although the bed was large, it felt quite dated and extremely firm, and much of the manchester—including the doona, sheets, pillows, and towels—appeared heavily worn. Several items showed visible discolouration or staining, which made them feel well past their best. Another issue was basic comfort in the bathroom. The shower water never reached a properly hot temperature and remained only warm, which made it difficult to have a comfortable shower. Beyond the room itself, the overall maintenance of the property appeared poor. Around the pool areas there were numerous cracked tiles, and the decking near the upper/front reception pool was lifting in places. In one of our rooms there was also a section of loose flooring. These are visible safety hazards that should be addressed promptly in any hotel, particularly one claiming a premium standard. The guest amenities around the beach area also felt insufficient compared with neighbouring properties. The hotel did not appear to have enough lounge chairs or umbrellas for the size of the property and beach area. By contrast, the neighbouring hotel offered a wide range of seating, bean bags, umbrellas, and curtained gazebos. Water play equipment was also limited; when we checked the equipment hut, only paddle boards were available, and we could see broken lounge chairs stored inside. Overall, while the property benefits from a great central location and convenient night market dining options nearby, the lack of maintenance, limited amenities, worn linens, and inadequate daily supplies made the stay feel far below what we would expect from a hotel positioning itself as a high-quality or 5-star experience.

• Daniel (1/5): Terrible - worst hotel I have even stayed at - Beach was beautiful. That was about it. The hotel should be rated 3 star at best, yet it is priced at 5 star rates. The rooms were tired and desperately needed a renovation. The ocean/pool view room we booked looked directly out onto a dirty roof. When we checked into our room, there was a cot and other infant paraganglia in the room. After negotiating for more than 2 hours, we were eventually moved to another room for one night and charged an extra fee for the inconvenience. The next day, we were moved to a slightly better room. Every night, Russian guests would assemble at the tables around the pool and drink vodka until the early hours of the morning, keeping guests awake. Despite numerous requests to staff to address the issue, nothing was done. Breakfast buffet was one of the worst I have experienced. General condition of the property was poor. As an example, a large fire hose was permanently deployed across a major guest thoroughfare for the duration of our stay. This was a safety hazard and unsightly.
• Nora (9/5): - Wir waren im Bungalow 903 mit eigenem Pool. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, das Bett sehr bequem und die Liegen auf der Terrasse waren auch sehr bequem. Das Frühstück ist so gut! Es gibt so viel Auswahl. Da viele koreanische Touristen im Hotel gibt, gibt es beim Frühstück eine große Auswahl an koreanischen Gerichten. Es gibt auch indische Gerichte, Süßspeisen, Banh Mir und Pho. Also sehr abwechslungsreich und lecker. Unser Bungalow war direkt neben dem Beach-Pool. Dort wird ab 10 Uhr morgens eine CD im Dauerlauf abgespielt. Immer die gleiche Musik zu hören hat mich wirklich sehr gestört. Ab 7 Uhr wird am Strand Volleyball gespielt, was uns täglich geweckt hat... Die Strandhandtücher haben oft Löscher und waren fleckig. Wirkten nicht sehr sauber. Der Strand ist leider übersät von Müll.

Die Anlage ist schön gepflegt. Das Frühstück war riesig aber auch unglaublich viele Menschen die dort abgefertigt werden. Das Essen war ok - aber es war purer Stress in der Früh. Das Personal war ganz nett aber nur auf mehrmaligen Bitten wurde dann auch mal das Zimmer gereinigt. Also es war nicht herzlich und einladend leider. Der Strandabschnitt war leider nicht gepflegt und sehr viel Müll lag rum leider.

• Yekaterina (9/5): - Очень хороший отель с двумя бассейнами и собственным пляжем с большой волейбольной площадкой. В одном из бассейнов были стульчики у бара. Можно было искупаться и, не выходя из бассейна, попить коктейль. Очень красивый пруд с кувшинками и рыбками, расположенный по пути к морю. На территории много кокосовых пальм с висящими на них кокосами. Сервис прекрасный. Уборка была каждый день. Мы снимали 2 номера, т.к. у нас семья из 5 человек. В день заселения один из номеров был с видом на парковку с мопедами. Я попросила поменять. На следующий день нас переселили, в итоге 2 наших номера были рядом и с прекрасным видом на один из бассейнов и пальмы. Завтраки были с 06:30 до 10:30. Выбор большой, но не все вкусно. Выпечка очень вкусная. Были даде пончики на завтрак. Дети ели их с удовольствием. Через дорогу от отеля находится продуктовый магазин. Там было все - перекусы, напитки, алкоголь. Еще рядом находится ночный рынок с множеством кафешек с местной кухней. Вечером можно было покушать свеже приготовленные морепродукты. Конечно же, тут же продавались фрукты. Отель нам очень понравился - хорошая такая пятерка. Очень много зелени на территории, включая цветущий франжипани. На все просьбы персонал очень быстро реагировал. В одном из номеров не работал холодильник. Его поменяли в этот же день.
