Henrik (4/5): Acceptable room, horrible area - The room was in and of itself acceptable. But there were a lot of noise from the corridor and the highway so it was hard to sleep. The bathrooms were disgusting at worse and kinda gross at best. And someone threw up in the corridor... The hotel is located in the absolute worst part of Paris. You have to walk through skid row (where there are tent camps for the homeless) to get there and it is unadvisable to be alone outside at night.

They have security in the lobby but there is fighting and screaming all night which they ignore. I won’t ever book this hotel again. It’s not even a budget hotel. It’s just disgusting.
Charley (8/5): - I was originally planning on solo travelling as a 20F and i’m very grateful my boyfriend decided to join me last minute. the hotel is entirely pleasant, has multiple option depending on your type of trip and budget (e.g hostel stay or bedrooms with private baths), however it is on the exact border ringroad of the cutoff for central paris. the 5 minute walk to the metro is a little scary, especially speaking as a woman, and i would not recommend going there at night alone. however, for a budget stay with a group/couple of people in your party, could be a perfect option for a budget trip.
Leonardo (6/5): - I booked the 1 Double Bed, Private Bathroom (Cabrio) room. The space was extremely compact, with a very minimal bathroom. The bed itself was fine, nothing special. The main issue was the lack of AC. I asked at reception and was told that the vents in the room only circulate air, they are not AC. Since I visited in August, with Paris reaching 34°C during the day, the room was uncomfortably hot at night and made it difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, the hotel also doesn’t provide fans, which would have helped. Overall, it might be fine in cooler months, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here in the summer.

Harshada (2/5): Horrible Digusting Rude - Firstly the people working on the reception were very rude. We were supposed to check in at 2pm but she said it might take 30minutes or even more till the room was ready. She was then said she does not speak english and to speak french to her. We got a shared bathroom at first. It was disgusting and horrible. We upgraded to get our own bathroom which was okay. The breakfast was horrible. The people in the kitchen were rude every time. During the night we asked them for some hot water to drink, they said they can't provide anything and they don't even have cups but to go next door to ask for cups. When it was time for check out at 12pm, at 10am itself they started pushing us out of the room. It was just a horrible experience overall. They were not.

James (6/5): - The hotel itself is ok. The room was clean and as advertised. But is was small. No where to hang clothes and not even a full length mirror. For the money it was ok. However. The location was like the immigrant camp in Calais. I did not feel safe in the location. There were slums and homeless all around. The whole street was full of tents and homeless. The walk to the nearest tube was not advisable solo and very sketchy. Late at night a cab to the door is the only safe way.

Yasemin (2/5): - Not recommended! I booked a large room (actually called an accessible one) but the room given was extremely small. I could barely find a place for my cabin luggage. Within the room, only toilet paper and liquid soap are provided as toiletries. The hotel is located in a poor neighborhood. On the way to the hotel from the metro station or the city center, there were people living on the street/in cars, and selling their stuff on the street. I was afraid to walk back to the hotel in the evening. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for solo traveling females due to its neighborhood. And it's not value for money as you don't get what you pay for.
bryant (6/5): - Het is ongeveer 10 minuten lopen vanaf het openbaar vervoer, maar de omgeving voelt wat sketchy aan, met veel zwervers rondom het hotel. De kamer zelf is best klein, maar voor één nacht prima te doen verwacht absoluut geen luxe. Ik was blij dat ik hier maar één nacht verbleef. De bedden zijn redelijk, maar aan de harde kant, en de kussens zijn erg dun, waardoor je het harde bed goed voelt. De gedeelde douches zijn op zich prima, al was het wel vies dat sommige gasten hun haren achterlieten. Houd er ook rekening mee dat er een camera in die ruimte hangt. Persoonlijk zou ik hier niet snel terugkomen, maar voor een enkele overnachting is het net acceptabel.
Donald (8/5): - I stayed in the sidecar room which is two twin beds, a sink and a small desk alongside a small wall-mounted television. Bathroom down the hall. It was quiet and pleasant enough for a budget stay in Paris.
Miguel (4/5): - The hotel room was very small, I'm 6'3 and my partner is 5'1 and we both had a very hard time to stay here, it may be because we stayed in the tandem style room that's meant for 2 people, but even if I stayed here myself, this room was not enough for me alone. The staff was very kind thankfully, and realistically is the only benefit to the property, as it's the only reason they don't get a 1 star for my review. The area around the hotel was not the greatest and felt like it was difficult to travel alone there at night, even if you're in a group, but especially if you're alone. If you're coming here, it's because it's friendly for your budget, you need a list minute room, or you just don't know about it. Lastly, there is NO AC. That's a huge factor into staying in a place that's quite hot, and if you're coming from a place where you're used to AC, this place is nowhere near sufficient to keep you cool. I would not stay here again, not due to the staff at all, but just everything else about it as a hotel.

Veronica (4/5): - The staff member i dealt with on arrival was lovely and very helpful. The room was cramped and very hot. The window could only open a crack because the blind only opened halfway. The noise from the road was really loud, this reduced with the window closed but then the heat was horrific. The bathroom was tiny, only just space to stand between the sink and toilet. No handsoap. We were booked for 2 nights but only stayed 1. When letting them know we wouldn't be staying the 2nd night, the staff member just said ok, didn't ask the room number, if everything was ok nothing.
Annan (2/5): - Unprofessional staff who can barge into your room, which happened to me a couple of times. Some of the rooms don’t have a bathroom/shower. You’ll have to use the shared showers and there’s a security camera in the shared bathroom/shower which was very odd.

Aleksandra (10/5): - Overall the hotel is a bang for your buck. It’s good for a one night, two night max stay due to the lack of closets or anywhere to put your clothes. The room is very small in general, but it is very affordable and convenient. The area around is very shady with multiple homeless people sleeping in their cars a few feet away from the hotel and people sleeping in tents under the bridge a bit further down. The hotel is roughly a 20 minute Uber or Taxi ride from the Eiffel Tower and the city center. I’d probably stay there again.

Leah (4/5): Not so great… - The room was super tiny. There was literally maybe 10-12 inches of space between the walls and bed on all sides. In the bathroom if you sat on the toilet and leaned forward you could put your head on the sink. They offer breakfast for a surcharge, but when my husband tried to go in the eating area to see what they had so we could decide if we wanted to eat there or go out, the lady in charge of the room chased him out and wouldn’t let him look without paying. Needless to say we ate elsewhere. Other than her, the staff were nice. Cleanliness wasn’t the best, but I didn’t realize it until I used a white towel to dry off the floor after a shower and it came up dark grayish brown and filthy. The area it was in wasn’t good either, I wouldn’t suggest walking around at night by yourself.

Clare (2/5): - the showers were all the way down the hall and they only give you a very small towel. you also have to make your own bed and there is only a usb outlet above the bed to charge your phone. about two minutes away there is a huge homeless camp and the public transport is nowhere near.

Verified traveler (6/5): Mixed review. - We stayed for one night as a stopover. The rooms were clean and well thought out for guests. USB sockets by every bed was a great idea, especially as we were travelling from the U.K. and didn’t have to worry about adaptors. The communal bathrooms were not clean when we used them in the evening, and in the morning the shower block and WC on our floor were closed for cleaning, which was very inconvenient. We paid over twenty quid for parking which is probably about standard, but the car park wasn’t secure and the barrier broke so it caused us problems upon trying to leave in the morning. Overall a good budget hotel that would benefit from better cleaning.

Jaclyn (4/5): - Hotel is in a pretty rough area, not safe to walk alone as a woman. Bathrooms and showers are not separated by gender either. Outside of building looked like it was burned by a fire at some point.

My check in was not the best, I had my booking for two rooms and reception only find one (little experience) the other room was under my wife name, and they couldn't find, and when they find the room she said the room wasn't pay, even with the booking in my hand with the price, I have to call the Hotels.com to find out. after five minutes she said is ok. Room was as its own not shower, not toilette, you have to share showers and toilettes. parking was expensive, smelling and unsafe because anyone can get inside there. Better to check other options.

Michele (2/5): DO NOT SATAY HERE - UNSAFE & DIRTY - Filthy, bed bug ridden HOSTLE - not a hotel, with 1 bathroom for the floor with only 1 working toilet for the entire floor! Not in your room. Area is unsafe. Homeless tried to take our bags when Uber dropped us off. Drug dealers outside our window whistling at each other all night. I was, rightfully, afraid for our lives.

Rachael Helen (6/5): - Can’t fault Hôtel it was clean and comfortable and No bed bugs at all as stated in other reviews but the area is awful, not a place you want to be at night and the day isn’t much better. We stayed one night and found somewhere closer to centre and nicer to stay. Would not ever book with Expedia again either as needed to contact them as we arrived after midnight and weren’t sure if Hôtel was open 24/7 as conflicting info on booking, tried to contact Expedia and Hôtel but Hôtel doesn’t answer phone or emails and Expedia there is no contact other than a bot that blocks you after just sending you the booking. Absolutely awful experience especially when you’re unsure your hotel is open and in such a rough area after midnight. Never again
Manuela Helena (4/5): - I stayed in the 11th the night before but could not get another room so moved here; I am glad that I booked here because it gave me a completely different perspective on Paris. This is a hostel and you are, basically, booking into a mixed dorm-type situation; While my room was clean, tidy - albeit minimalist; using a co-ed shared toilet was an awful experience. It stank and was dreadful - this was even after it had been cleaned. There is a female toilet near the reception area and I would highly recommend that women use that toilet. Also, I don't think this would be a safe area for women to arrive by public transport at night. Staying here, you do get to see the real Paris. The car park is full of coaches with teenagers and school children. The venue does have vending machines and microwaves where you can buy and warm up food. There is a reason why this hotel is so cheap. Also, you could be staying on a floor with students. I had noise throughout the night; teenagers where smoking in the fire exit. You get what you pay for.
Praise (2/5): - the room we were given had urine in the bed, hair on the floor, dust on top of every surface, flies pressed into the walls, and NO private bathroom (despite it being advertised that there was) . there were no english speaking staff at the hotel despite it being advertised that there was, and the woman we Did speak with was rude and refused to give us any compensation for the horrible experience. be safe and do not go to beauvais for any reason. there is nothing there. my partner and i only went because on ryanair it was advertised as “paris - beauvais” but beauvais is NOT paris. it is nowhere near paris. we did not stay more than 12 hours in this hotel or town, we had to immediately leave and rebook a new hotel that was actually In paris,

John (8/5): Good location for metro and small room - First day my room got released and I lost access. Good thing I photographed my receipt, because the new person at the reception desk didn’t believe me, until I showed proof. But after that everything went fine.

Rachel (4/5): - The hotel is a very budget feeling hotel. Most rooms do not have their own bathroom, it’s like camping or old uni accommodation. Twin rooms are in fact double beds with the hardest mattresses but softest pillows ever 😩 The booking said breakfast was included. The hotel refused to honour this as they said for the price we booked at, we should have realised it wouldn’t be free, despite it clearly saying on the booking. Not impressed.
Peter (2/5): - Unfortunately on Wed 8th May at about 7pm I was victim of a pickpocket at the nearby metro station. I made my way swiftly back to the hotel. I asked the blonde female receptionist if she spoke English, she confirmed she did. I explained what had happened. She was totally disinterested and refered me to the hotel security. They spoke little English so I resolved the matter in its entirety by myself. I returned to advise her how unhelpful she had been and confirmed I would never again return.

Marcus (8/5): Perfect for the price - The F1 is an excellent value hotel conveniently located just outside the périphérique intérieur of Paris… close enough to the centre that all but the laziest guests can walk to the Sacré Coeur. Sure the rooms are small by American standards… but not for a Paris or London hotel. And yes… for many rooms the showers and toilets are a short walk away. But they are plentiful and when I stayed (twice in two weeks) were clean. And that’s the price you pay for a hotel that offers this value and convenience. Some of the other reviews make me laugh. People who have chosen a budget hotel are reviewing it as if they paid three times the price. The service I received was friendly and efficient, but again this is Paris… adjust your expectations. As for comments that the area is dangerous, or that some of the characters are shady… these comments tell me some tourists are not travellers. Or that some guests feel more comfortable around white people. The hotel is in a bustling inner city suburb… people here work jobs that start early, and finish late, many of those workers are not white. But they are just city folks getting on with their lives. Nearby there are homeless people… but they are just people that society has failed… not muggers and rapists. When I walked back to the hotel late at night after a concert, there were old women alone, and groups of young girls walking near the hotel without a care. It’s a safe area.

shazad (4/5): Book only as a last resort - It felt like a glorified youth hostel with barely enough space to walk between the bunk beds and room. The shared toilets weren't cleaned regularly and hence remained blocked. The parking whilst safe cost a fortune of 69 euros for 3 days
