Mr Marlon (10/5): - Good location as i was arriving by train, Grand Central station only a short walk away, less than 10 minutes, also close to city hall, with a multitude of bars, shops and restaurants in the heart of the city, it was slso very close to tour puck up points, as i was doing full day tours during my stay, might seem pricey for a budget hotel, but remember Ireland is quite expensive in general, so although i could get a 4star hotel in the UK for the price, you certainly won't in Belfast city, the room was quite small, but not a problem as i was out all day, justed needed a place that was convenient and close enough to where i needed to be, which it was, bed as very comfortable and staff very friendly and provided great service, would recommended the hotel

I appreciate you get asked the same questions but this seemed to annoy them. Breakfast was limited (tea, coffee, pastries and toast)

Richard (6/5): A budget stay, right at the heart of the city - The budget Ibis at Belfast was right at the heart of the city although I guess we were not the first to turn up at the the wrong central Ibis!!! The rooms were quite basic as you would expect but includes a TV & shower/loo. The rooms could have included more hooks though. Finally, the additional cost of breakfast could have been better. Yes, coffee/tea, juice, cereal, cold platter etc. But what about the cooked brekkies? Non, existant but strangely, there was a big metal pot of hot baked beans though!!!!

Very convenient for sightseeing & surrounded by an excellent choice of restaurants & traditional pubs. Would be happy to choose this type of accommodation again for a short break

Gareth (4/5): Basic in everything sense, other then the price - Couldn’t fault the service or cleaniness. The issue for me was the price. This hotel is budget in every sense, other than the price. For nearly £200 per room, per night, the facilities did not live up to this. The room we were allocated was tiny, and I did not appreciate having the shower basically built into the wall, with no space to dry or disrobe without being in the main room. This caused awkward moments where family member had to avoid their eyes or vacate the room. Location is great, however next time if I am having to spend this sort of money, I would definitely stay elsewhere. I wouldn’t return to this hotel.
Verified traveler (6/5): Like staying in a dormitory - Small compact room, lots of construction in the area. Separate cubicles for toilet and shower, the light in the toilet only worked via a very short timed sensor, and constantly went off. No coffee or kettle in the room -needed to buy any extras. 130 £ night

Peter (6/5): Peter O'Connor, 27-31 August 2025 - The room was great. Location very good. Small things that might be a tie-breaker next time I am in Belfast - no tea or coffee in the room. It's never free, so I am not after something for nothing. Charging for me to leave a case on my last day - nearly £600 for four nights, so I'd expect leaving a case for a couple of hours would be free. Softer furniture in the breakfast room - reminded me of a classroom. All these things are added value.

Ashley (4/5): Rooms booked not provided! - Booked 4x Twin rooms, and called up to inform the hotel of a late night arrival. The hotel informed me this was fine, but then called me back to inform me that they had overbooked and only 2x twin rooms were available. We were given two double rooms with bunkbeds instead, which was not great. Happy that we had the total rooms required but not a great experience having to sleep in a bunk bed. Expected a refund for at least one room or a gesture of some sort for the inconvenience.
Donna (10/5): Lemonheads tour - Clean, friendly staff, comfy and had everything we needed for a night to go see the lemonheads on their European tour. Very central and close to the venue
susan (6/5): Budget accommodation. - This hotel is very much a budget hotel as is indicated in the name. I had booked this room for a girl’s trip to Belfast but when we arrived I chose to add another hotel room. The shower isn’t in an enclosed room, it has a glass door that is partially frosted but which opens directly to the hotel room. If one is traveling with one’s spouse, or solo, this configuration may be fine but it becomes awkward when it’s a girls getaway. The room was clean and the bed was fairly comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and was roomy. There is no water kettle in the room. In the lobby there are two coffee machines that make a wide variety of types of drinks. The Americano and Cappuccino options are free but the other options aren’t. The cost of a continental breakfast is quite reasonable at £8 or so. There was no trash receptacle There were no tissues If you want a hair dryer you must check it out at the front desk There is no phone in the room The hotel is fairly close to the Grand Central Train Station (3/10ths of a mile), an easy walk. There are quite a number of restaurants, bars and clubs within a block or two. There is a Tesco market across the street.

Steve (8/5): Very good option for central hotel at affordable p - This is a very reasonably-priced hotel in Centre of city. Close to some traditional pubs which were great for a nightcap. £7 for decent breakfast. Rooms small but absolutely fine for price and comfort. We arrived late evening and left 8am next day so just parked on street,and avoided parking charges.

David (6/5): - The hotel is located fairly centrally in Belfast, not far from Grand Central Station, and a reasonable walk to the centre of the city. The staff are friendly, and the buffet breakfast did the job. Overall the rooms have good soundproofing, and you wouldn't realise how busy it is. It is very much a budget hotel, and the common area, where the buffet breakfast is located, can get a bit noisy. The decor is starting to get a little tired.
anthony (2/5): - This hotel is awful. The rooms are small not ensuite. You get a silly small washbasin in the bedroom area which it is virtually impossible to use without splashing water on the floor. A shower cubicle, a separate toilet cubicle with no washing facility, not quite closed by a flimsy magnetic catch panel. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the room. These are in lobby served in small china cups - so if you want a late night or first thing cuppa and you are on the 6th Floor - hopeless. Only 2 pillows in double room when we asked for extra told they had no pillow cases so could not have one. It is not cheap, you could stay in much nicer Travelodge for similar money. It is central and there is a nearby car park, but it is so bad I am going to seek refund.
Kevin (8/5): A nice place to stay. - Pleasantly surprised. Wonderful and helpful, friendly staff. The room was spacious, clean, heat pump, and the shower was wonderful. Popping downstairs in the morning and grabbing a cup of tea or a cup of coffee before heading out was handy. It is conveniently located near a bus stop, restaurants and walking distance to Belfast city center. I would definetly stay again if I was in the area again.
Verified traveler (2/5): Budget to the Extreme - There was no bathroom - shower was in bedroom and toilet was in a closet-like area behind a door. There was no refrigerator, safe, or closet, and no counter space for any essentials. The television did not work as all we received were news channels, and different channels worked each time we put on the tv. The breakfast "buffet" was two types of pastries and cold cereals.

Stuart Nicholas (10/5): - The hotel balanced budget & practicality nicely. For two nights, via budget air travel, I didn't need a wardrobe, for example, but did have hanging space. Shower & toilet in cubicles rather than seperate bathroom? A practical solution. The bonus was a genuine continental breakfast with proper croissants, bread rolls, cheese & cold meats, not just mini-croissants & mini-pains au chocolats. Not forgetting properly strong but still machine-provided coffee. All really rather impressive...

The room was 'dorm-style' with the bare minimum for room and amenities but it was reasonable for the cost of the nights stay. The small bar with tables/chairs and a pool table allowed for some good space to hang around, have a couple drinks from the cooler, and enjoy some company before heading to bed. The location was pretty decent...within 2 blocks of some energized pubs and a couple of other food options...and only 10-15 minutes to the City Hall along with many other pubs and stores to check out. We met a couple that had come into town for a concert at the Opera House...and the IBIS Budget was their go-to place for a quick sleepover

Helen (8/5): Basic but Brilliant - I was on my own, which probably helped, as the odd shower cubicle straight into the bedroom etc didnt bother me. The bed was comfortable with enough space to move around, and the small desk by the window held my travel kettle i had had the foredight to bring. The room was very clean, I had seen bad reviews here that said otherwise so they had upped their game. I was on the 6th floor but the lifts werent busy and it meant it was quiet. Its a good hotel if like me you know you are going to be busy everyday and just need a base to snooze in.

Toilet light was automatic and stayed on for ages, also switched on randomly in middle of the night. Air con switches off after a relatively short amount of time (to conserve energy) so we often were woken up in the middle of the night in a boiling hot room.
