Have also had shower trays which do not drain well. They are updating some beds/mattresses ( have had very uncomfortable hammock like experiences recently)

There was a horrible stale beer in the room. No USB points in the room and no sockets near the bed which I needed for my CPAP machine

- Stephen (9/5): Affordable clean friendly comfortable stay - Location, restaurant are good. The staff were very friendly. Loved the architecture. A good retro feel. The windows are a bit dated and as the traffic started outside at 5am : it’s all you could hear. The window was closed but not closed

- Susan (9/5): Great value, great staff - The staff were lovely, really friendly and made me feel welcome and safe. The room had everything I needed: tea, tv, good WiFi, comfy bed. I like that the bathroom offers a choice between a bath or shower. The external lighting lights up the bedroom, so take a sleep mask with you. The room needs a bit of TLC.

- GARRY (5/5): Adiquite but lacking many amenities and quality - Location good Booked a superior room but due to issues had to take a executive room which was as disappointing although offered two bottles of wine as a gesture of apology and a promise to a significant discount on our next stay which again was admirable- but the room charged stayed the same that I would have had to pay for the superior room so I little bit cheeky - our alternative executive room was basic but clean - although we had to report the stench of cigarette smoke in the en-suite and a member of staff put air fresheners in it - the mattress on the bed was of substandard comfort and the pillows offered little support and again of substandard- but the staff were at all times helpful- the only other disappointment was that the catering was provided by a restaurant about 100 yards from the motel not hotel as advertised it stated it was four star but at best I’d give it a 3 start

- Kim (8/5): Great room, lovely staff, great restaurant. - Lovely staff, decor, clean and modern. Damon’s restaurant is lovely. The room needs air-con, as it’s next to the a46, if warm, as it was during our stay, and you open the window, all you can hear is traffic.
