Guest Reviews
- Diana (2/5): Disappointed but it happens - Good location. It was definitely a room that was in disrepair. However, the front desk person was amazing.
- Amber (4/5): - I was there on a solo trip to see family. As a female traveling alone safety is everything. The first thing i noticed was the bolt lock was broken with no way to lock the door but from the door knob (that i never trust to keep unwabted people out). Then there was spiders and crickets everywhere on the room. Ill be back to this area again soon and several more times in the near future to see family and wont be staying at this place again.
- Erick (2/5): Do not trust the pics. - This hotel is run down. Needs a major upgrade. Water was off first half of the first night stayed. There is mildew growing on the walls and the sheets smelled musty.
- Brenda (2/5): - Nice management but, it was pretty gross. Microwave was filthy. Bed & bath done get me started. You get what you pay for
- Bobby (2/5): - Nothing
- Randi (4/5): Disgusting Rat Motel - These pictures are extremely deceiving. The rooms looked nothing like this. It was so dingy and dirty. Looked like a $40 hotel room not $80. The bottoms of the doors and walls were damaged and dirty and the floor was cheap and moved under your feet. The outlets sparked when we plugged our phone chargers in and looked like they had caught fire before. It smelled so bad like mildew even febreze spray didn't make it better. The comforters and sheets were white and had stains all over them. They only allowed us one thing towel each. They had 2 little packets of shampoo and 1 little bar of soap. No conditioner. The room was overall disgusting and gross. It looked like a rat motel room. I will never ever come back here. I wish I had taken pictures to post for everyone to see.
- Daniel (2/5): Don’t stay at budget in princeton - Slow check in; loud neighbor; towels worn; no coffee as promised in am; dirty bathroom; door lock inadequate
- Denise (2/5): Just don't, keep looking - Very run down and dirty, bedding was not changed between guests and was heavily stained. Towels were threadbare and the room was cold. Asked for a different room and it was even worse. The deadbolt lock did not work and the room opened to the street. The neighborhood was very scary as well
- Wayne (2/5): Save your money and your health!!! - The Condition of our room was terrible. Let's start at the front door. The dead bolt did not work and the only was to secure the door was the doorknob. In the bathroom, we found someone's adult diaper in the trash can. The spindle for the toilet paper roll was missing and the TP was setting on the tank! You had a very small 20" vanity with no toiletries. Went to take a shower and the knob for the hot water was striped without a screw to hold it on. I had to go to my car and get a pair of pliers just to get it working. The water temp varied a lot, and my wife got scalded on her back. There was no power to the heating/AC unit and the outside temp got down into the 30's and it got a little chilly in the room. The laminate flooring was warped and in spots became a tripping hazard. This stay was definitely not worth more than $5 a night, if that. Save your money and go somewhere else!
- Anthony (10/5): Got the job done at a great price - Simply a good bare bones stay. Owner was very polite and responsive. No reason to spend $160 just to get an extra towel or two. Save your money and stay at locally owned businesses like this one.
- Jeff (4/5): - The only available room for miles. It shine closed down
- Ron (10/5): - Perfectly fine. Everything worked. Good value.
- David (8/5): - Was in for a wedding at the beginning of August with 3 adults and 4 kids. Rented 2 rooms. While not the Ritz Carlton, rooms were comfortable and staff was helpful. Went back 2 weeks later for another unrelated visit and had the same experience.
- Matthew (2/5): - Room was not clean. Hairs on sheets.
- Brian (2/5): - Toilet Didn't Work. Had To Poor Water In Toilet To Make It Work. No Food Within Walking Distance. Tried To Get More Money From Me
- Nick (4/5): - Property is full of roaches
- Carl (2/5): - They are liars they say they're pet friendly and they're not
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Definitely not as advertised. My daughter ran her hands along something in the bathroom and came out with dust on her hand. There was an odor of pot. The pictures online made the place look way better. It was sketchy. We didn’t stay and turned around and asked for a refund.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Nice place to stay
- Jennifer (6/5): - Small and bad atmosphere other guest . They keep all extra everything in a warehouse of property. Friendly owners. Very noisy.
- Alicia (10/5): - El staff muy amigable.
- Bruce (6/5): - After check in I noticed the lock on the door knob did not lock when leaving. The owners were obviously not aware. They locked the deadbolt but did not give me a key. They did open the door when I returned.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Budget Hotel Princeton, WV - Manager was helpful and friendly, I initially had a few issues but were promptly resolved.,
- Thomas E (2/5): Worst place ever - It was the worst experience ever in a hotel. W we were laughed at upon arriving for never having been there to know the floor plan. The room was dirty, we had to sleep in our clothes on top of the covers. The absolute nastiest place I have ever been in.
- Steven (6/5): - Not particularly well maintained. One bed only had one sheet on it.
- Judy (6/5): - Although very clean, the room was in need of paint. The TV got only one channel which I reported when we left.
The heater/AC had only one setting. The TV was connected to an outlet in what was probably once a closet
The refrigerator and microwave worked and were great.
Bed was very comfortable
- Amy (2/5): - There were holes in the shower - the door looks like someone tried to break in and the metal was pulled away from the knob - the furniture was stained and very very dirty...i think there waa blood on the shower curtain.
- Mike (2/5): - I hate leaving reviews like this seeing this is someone's livelihood, but after flying to Pittsburgh to pick up a car I purchased and then driving to Princeton, West Va I thought I'd catch a few winks at a less expensive hotel but after checking in I realized I couldn't sleep there. Bedspread and sheets might have been washed but they weren't clean looking and after thinking maybe I could catch a few hours without getting undressed and into the sheets, I simply had to leave and wound up paying for another hotel room at a Holiday Inn
- Eddie (10/5): - It was fine
- James (6/5): - This is a very “tired” motel, in need of multiple upgrades.
- Wayne (6/5): Emergency Stay - Budget has been real good to us. The name kinda says it all. We were in a tight spot and had to have a room. The price and convenience, are the reason we settled on this hotel, But the staff have been so helpful and kind that I would recommend this to anymore that finds themselves in need of a room with a reasonable price.
- navanetharaj (2/5): - They don’t maintain the rooms. No clean very very bad smell
- Thaddeus (4/5): - The property was in disrepair.
- Linda (2/5): DON'T BE FOOLED!!! - This was NOT a regular Budget Inn. After I got to my room I decided to take a shower. Needless to say it was a COLD shower. There was no hot water. I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here. I was NOT pleased with this Hotel at all. I sure wouldn't have paid the money I did of I had know what it was like. They are NOTHING like the pics they show online.
- Christa (10/5): - Very good service and nice clean room for the value.
- Michelle (4/5): - Was a very run down and sketchy place. Didn’t feel safe there. Stayed for 2 hours to sleep while driving overnight.
- Daniel (6/5): - Supposedly no smoking but it reeked from stale cigarette smoke and the bed covers had lots of cigarette burns.
Staff was extremely friendly!
- Gerald (10/5): - Friendly staff clean facility
- Stefan (8/5): Exactly what you'd expect for the price - Sheets were stained but smelled clean, and comforters had lots of cigarette holes burned into them. Room window had a massive crack and was held together with masking tape lol. Bathroom was functional but noticably dated. Room smelled of smoke and was probably coated in it. It was a place with a bed, working heating and a working shower/ toilet. That is all I expected from this hotel and I got it. This place isn't the lap of luxury but you get what you pay for.
- Pauline (2/5): - WiFi non existence
- leanne (4/5): Not a clean hotel room. - We travel with our 2 small dogs, so we are limited in the choices we have for Hotels to stay at....but this hotel was not clean at at. The bed was comfortable, but the lack of a thorough cleaning was a disappointment. The front lady staff was friendly to deal with though.
- Diane (2/5): Bring your bleach!! - Mould in the bathroom and cigarette butts in the bathtub drain. Beds were clean and we were tired so we stayed. Noticed the dog hair in the morning.
- Kenneth (2/5): - The bathroom is horrendous! I was afraid to walk on the floor in my bare feet!
- thomas (2/5): - nothing
- Jeff (10/5): - Xxp
- ELIZABETH (2/5): - Room had sewer bugs and hotel was full of homeless that live there. Bedspreads not washed and full of flea dirt. Flies and months in rooms. Towels and washcloths were black with grease stains. I only stayed one night out to two booked due to the smell of bedspreads and will not recieve a refund for that one night. No safety latch on door. Air conditioning filter was never cleaned and I took pictures of the dirt and filth that come out despite unit being new. I was unable to leave room and explore the town for fear of it being broken into.
- Brenda (4/5): - Run down old needs remodeling
- Steve (8/5): - Can't complain for the price. I needed a bed and shower. Room was large, which made it seem empty. Again, no big deal. Was a little concerned that there was no smoke detector, but the wiring for it was hanging out of the ceiling. I mentioned it on check out. He said it was stolen and hasn't been replaced yet. I don't know .....
- Elena (2/5): - the fine scenery of passed out crackheads out in the yard. Dirty sheets, no soap. Spiders all in the shower. Only burning hot water ..... Dont walk. Run away!!!!!
- Michael (2/5): - Nothing
