- BusiTravellerCalgary (10/5): Dreamy - A short taxi ride into town, lovely and helpful reception, a smaller boutique hotel with the most delicious food, drinks, beautiful mountain views, and feel of being secluded in the jungle. We indulged in the outdoor massages, which were lovely, but there were many other treatments and included activities that looked interesting. We skipped the sauna and tub in favour of the pool, the mountain views were unbeatable. Felt quiet, exclusive, and serene. Would stay again!

We stayed in the Turquesa room which was nice and big with a balcony. There are a few things to note: The decor could use some updating. Pool closes at 8pm which is a bit sad There’s a long list of rules to abide by. All in all however, this property is magical and the staff is kind and always there for you.

- Amparo (10/5): Book the hotel! - The property is beautiful, the staff is attentive and the service is fantastic. They deliver a basket with your preference of coffee or tea w cookies to your door every morning. The included breakfast was delicious! Book it! Nothing to dislike about the property itself. It is a little far from the city center- a 20 min walk or 10 min taxi ride. But you can ask for the front office to call a taxi for you and on the way back the taxi drivers knew the location.

- John (7/5): Lovely, comfortable hotel, but could do with a couple of tweaks! - The site is lovely, well kempt and beautiful views. The pool area is kept really clean and the parasol man is very attentive. The reception and restaurant staff were also excellent. We found the bar staff a bit sullen, not helped by a guy who appeared to be the bar manager unable to smile! Whilst, the pool bar is open until 7pm, the lack of a guest bar after that time is a bit strange. Frankly, the drinks were insultingly expensive anyway!

Wij zaten wel in de cottages. Het eten beviel ons ook. de muziek in restaurant en aan het zwembad. Je komt naar dit hotel voor de zalige rust, maar in het restaurant is er muziek, en te luid in alle geval. Aan het zwembad is er ook muziek, vreselijk. Je kan er niet ongestoord een boek lezen en je komt hier om te genieten van natuur en rust. Je hoort aan het zwembad zelfs 2 muziekbronnen, die van het zwembad en het restaurant. Terribile! Jammer. Iedereen heeft zijn eigen smaak en moet maar oortjes insteken.

Solicité mermelada para un pan conmantequilla y me dijeron que no tenían mermelada. En la noche pedí para merienda un poco de fruta y yogur y me dijeron que esas cosas no están en el menu de merienda. La cecina es muy mala en una región en donde este producto es muy bueno. No tiene ningun tipo de apoyo o seguridad parapersonas de la tercera edad o con alguna incapacidad, Para estas personas es casi imposible caminar por sus corredores empedrados e irregulares pues no tienen barandales

Food/beverages was amazing as well as the daily activities such as yoga, meditation, guided walks through the town and more. The spa services are also to die for. But the best part is the staff. Everyone is extremely attentive and they are able to anticipate your every need. It is truly a luxury stay! Special shout out to our main concierge during our stay, Antonio. At a certain point I definitely felt my family was a bit needy with requests, however day after day, he assisted us with all our needs gracefully, timely and with such warmth! Because of him this will definitely be my go to choice of accommodation whenever I am in the area again :)

Staying here was a completely random choice; we were on our way to a wedding in Jiutepec and decided to make a pit stop in Tepoztlán. It ended up becoming the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment you walk in, you feel an immediate sense of peace. The grounds are unbelievably beautiful, lush, serene, and thoughtfully designed. We stayed in a courtyard room, which made accessing the amenities so easy and convenient. Every morning, a little basket gets delivered to your door with coffee which quickly became my favorite part of the day. I looked forward to it every single morning!! We stayed for four days and booked massages and treatments on three of those days. They were some of the most incredible spa experiences I’ve ever had. Alexandra and Claudia were absolutely fantastic, so talented, warm, and professional. I highly, highly recommend booking treatments during your stay. They are worth every second. The restaurant, Mesa de Origen, was another standout. The space is stunning, the service was exceptional, and the décor was on point. The menu was unlike anything I’ve ever tried — creative, elevated, and beautifully thought out in every detail. The pool service team also deserves special recognition. Iraudis took such amazing care of us all three days, always making sure we had everything we needed and keeping us fed! The only thing to note is that there’s no gym on the property, but honestly, after doing the brutal Tepozteco hike, you won’t even miss it lol. Amomoxtli is the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. If you are considering staying here, do it. It’s pure magic.I think about this place every day since I got back!

We were taken away by there sheer beauty of this location with the mountain backdrop and amazing views directly from the pool. The room had a natural elegance, unique aroma and was quite comfortable with our very own fireplace! Also, the restaurant (Michelin star) was superb and absolutely delicious! The road getting here is a bit bumpy but all in all worth the experience and very clean with attentive staff.

I really loved the amenities they give you early in the morning according to what you love. I think there are some things that can improve and given it’s an expensive hotel, I’d expect more to be honest in regards of the quality and quantity of food, we had dinner twice out of the 3 nights we stayed there and it’s very expensive vs. quality and quantity. I don’t mind paying high prices but I do mind when the quality does not equal what I’m paying for. Service is good but the waiting is a bit long.

- 919rodrigoc (10/5): Unparalleled beauty and calmness - This is by far one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever been to. The mountains surrounding it gives a feeling of being in the middle on nowhere. The restaurant had amazing food, all cooked and prepared onsite. The staff was super friendly and keen to help and provide and unique experience. We only stayed for 1 night so when we left we were wishing we had stayed for a bit longer. We’re planning on making this a regular stay whenever we’re in Mexico.

Very comfortable beds, loved the coffee delivered to the room in the morning, beautiful breakfast was included and was better than we expected. We also enjoyed the couples spa treatment including the temozcal (sweat lodge) and did a private tantric yoga session which we highly recommend.

Le service était inégal d'un département à l'autre. Inadéquat au restaurant et on cherchait le personnel au spa. Le choix au restaurant le soir était pauvre. Endroit plutôt difficile d'accès également.

- Spumpelly (10/5): Stunning Views, Top Level Service, Amazing Rooms. - This hotel is stunning, nestled at the foothills of some of the most stunning mountains we have ever seen. The property has a natural, tropical environment, calm, relaxing and beautiful. The staff here has been wonderful, they make you feel as if you are the priority , service is seamless and the food and drinks were delicious. Morning coffee or tea service left outside the room in a cut basket, turn down service to included chocolates and Mexican wedding cookies. The town is cute and fun but it was nice to escape into the tropical beauty of this amazing resort. Highly recommend this hotel and a trip to Tepoztlan. ❤️❤️

- Victoria (10/5): An exceptional stay with gorgeous mountains views - Everything about our stay at Amomoxtli was exceptional! From the moment we checked in with Edgardo, we felt taken care of. The grounds, pool and mountain views are gorgeous, and all the staff are so kind and helpful. We enjoyed massages at the spa and took advantage of the daily meditation and yoga practices. We so appreciated the little details like our morning coffee/treat basket and a welcome kit with pool essentials and bug spray. The breakfast is also extremely generous and delicious! Overall, this was the perfect getaway from Mexico City for a few days and we cannot wait to come back.

- Tatiana (1/5): terrible spa experience, got severed injuried - honestly, my entire experience was negatively impacted given I got severe injured because of their lack of knowledge around their own spa treatments the guest and customer service is terrible. I had an issue getting injured with severe burn due a ritual offered by the hotel. not only they lacked guidance to prevent such injury they have been unresponsive since notified about the issue.

Si van a personalizar pantuflas o sandalias por género, como un toque lindo, asegúrense que si son 2 mujeres o 2 hombres, pongan las pantuflas del género correcto. Es un gran detalle que puede malinterpretarse.
