We'll be back fir our anniversary for sure. Thank you to all the staff and owner for making our experience so special Nothing, was all amazing
- AtHopesTravelling (9/5): - Staff, food, bar and restaurant. Rooms were cute and cosy Creaking floor boards and hard mattress
- Mike (10/5): Pleasant stay friendly staff great food and drinks - Cosy , homely Nothing
- Patrick (10/5): - Fantastic location, friendly staff and excellent food
- James (8/5): Beautiful setting, great food, staff were excellent, couldn’t do enough !! Bar prices were quite expensive compared to A - The location was absolutely stunning 🤩 No lift, the upstairs floors were really creaky, could hear everyone next door moving about. Double bed was limited for space and the mattress was very firm.
- Peter (10/5): -
- Mónia (10/5): - Adorei a localização e o ambiente do restaurante.
- Thomas (5/5): - Dinner and personal at evening super. But the most unfriendly woman I have seen in Scotland serving breakfast.
- Clio (9/5): Lovely, cosy, friendly stay in a beautiful location - We had a really lovely stay. The staff were super friendly, the room was really comfortable and cosy, and the sound of the river so nearby was super soothing. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. Nope, we really loved it all.
- Deborah (9/5): Great stay, wonderful food and staff. - Best breakfast I’ve ever had. The white chocolate and raspberry porridge was blissful. Scrambled eggs with salmon was also fantastic. Pizzas are great. Staff very friendly - wonderful service. Very dog friendly. Mattress a bit hard for my liking.
- Terri (8/5): Would stay there again. - Beautiful area. Very nice restaurant. Great bar. The lovely room was clean, plenty of room with seating areas. View of the river was the best. Both of the twin mattresses have seen their better days.
- Dee (10/5): A haven of warmth in both wecome and atmosphere, with exceptional food and stunning views. - This is a beautiful little boutique type hotel set right on a wild river.
The welcome we received by both owners and staff was exceptionally warm.
The atmosphere was again beautifully set as Christmas and the food was exceptional. The room was slightly small and I personally prefer a bath ( only shower available) stairs need to be used to access rooms so maybe not ideal for anyone with mobility restrictions.
The room choice was my fault and it was still perfectly adequate for one night stay.
- michael (10/5): Very enjoyable - staff were all exceptional - All v good Two deep potholes at entrance were there on our previous visit
- Jodi (10/5): - Staff were excellent and made me feel really welcome and comfortable as a solo female traveller. Food was delicious and room was very comfortable.

- Kenneth (8/5): Worth an overnight stay simply on the basis of the location and good food. - Great location overlooking the canoe slalom course. Nice clean spacious room, good food and really pleasant staff. Not cheap but probably the going rate for the location and time of year. Room (No.6) had an adjoining door, but luckily the occupants of the other room were quiet. The room windows needed a good clean, both inside and out.
- Laura (10/5): - Beautiful location, friendly, welcoming staff and lovely room

- Helen (9/5): A lovely hotel run efficiently in a friendly manner, giving real value for money - a rare virtue! - Breakfast was 1st class as was service and all staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was wonderful…very light bright all three big windows looked on to River I would have preferred and earlier check in time and a later dinner, but this did not take away from the quality of this hotel or its management and staff.

- Katharine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Just Fantastic all round, nothing was too much trouble, beautiful room, Nice decor throughout. Great Value, friendly staff, doggy friendly.
Evening meal perfect, we all had different dishes and every plate was eaten clean. The only thing I would suggest to improve would be the breakfast, but this may just be our taste. We would rather have just plain pork sausages with our breakfast, we were served what tasted like pork & leek, but far too leeky and they were cooked quite pale almost underdone, none of us ate them. You would probably have cooked them more if we had asked however they were not to our taste.
I would also recommend being given the option of tinned tomatoes instead of half a beef tomato again just our preference, we all said the same, The hotel was perfect for us in every other way.
- Amy (10/5): Great overnight stay - Everything was lovely. Room was huge with beautiful views of the river. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food and service were great. I'm not keen on deciding what I want to eat for breakfast the night before.
- Jean (10/5): Great ambience and super friendly staff. Excellent attention to detail - Breakfast excellent. Beautiful scenery and good for touring area
- Carrie (10/5): Amazing place in a tranquil location. - The hotel is beautiful with a lovely big room. The food is out of this world.
- Kirsten (10/5): - Once over the threshold, it is both welcoming & engaging.
There is a real “ personal “ touch & the owners are so “ hands on”& this care filters down through all their Staff.
Alas, the weather was not in our favour, but the sun always shines inside the “ Inn on the Tay”!
will definitely revisit & highly recommend.
Thanks for a lovely experience!
Mark & Kirsten.

- James (9/5): Overall an excellent stay would definitely recommend and will be back - The ambiance of the Inn was excellent, warm and inviting as was the staff. The food was first class. A good base from which to explore the beautiful Tay Valley and enjoy a visit to the theatre in Pitlochry.

- Satyavrat (10/5): Home away from home :-) - Hospitality - staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, one may feel like home and plan to stay longer if possible:-). Location - At the river side, in a wonderful locality. Room Decor and Cleanliness-6/5, they have really maintained it very well. VALUE FOR MONEY IN ALL THE WAYS.
Highly recommended for travellers. If ypu are carrying a heavy luggage, you may have a discomfort of carrying it one floor up as there are no elevators. However, the stairs are minimal.
Overall, it was an awesome stay.
- Danielle (10/5): Super location for families with dogs with lovely owner and employees - We absolutely loved the Inn on the Tay, the location next to the river Tay is amazing, the room (we had a family room number 5) was very cosy and super clean and nicely decorated, which made us feel like home immediately. The beds were super for chilling and the bar and restaurant were charming and very 'gezellig '. We liked to take a drink and played some games with the family. The owners and personnel were all very sweet, relaxt and helpful. The walk along their river with the dogs was nice and challenging for the dogs by jumping over the rocks. Nothing, but the only thing is the toilet seat in our room, that was a little loose and needs to get fixated.
- Susan (8/5): very relaxing night spent at the Inn on the Tay - friendly staff, great food and spectacular setting
- Michelle (10/5): Friendly service - Staff were really accommodating, especially when friends came from hotel across road whos breakfast wasn’t to their taste and the inn on the tay sorted them out with a bacon roll, which was extremely kind. So well done for going above and beyond fir non residents.
