• PEI-CHEN (10/5): 超值，如果有來走熊野古道會想再來住！ - 性價比很高，大浴池會男女交換所以早晚可以體驗到不同溫泉池。裡面的吹風機是Dyson的好好吹。浴衣可以自己選花色。早晚餐是buffet都很好吃。check out的時候可以一人付140元搭接駁車回車站（時間可以自訂）。 沒有洗衣機有點可惜。

• Guest (10/5): Relaxing authentic Japanese experience - We stayed for 2 nights, family of 4 from Perth Australia with 2 kids 12 and 10. We stayed in family room 201 which was great. Large corner room suite with separate bedrooms, large lounge area, private outdoor bath with views of the ocean. Stay felt like a real Japanese experience: onsens, hot stone beds, massage chairs, karoke, ping pong room and Japanese robes to wear around the hotel. Included breakfast and dinner was very high quality and free drinks, alcohol, snacks and soft serve was nice. Not a lot of western tourists staying here which made it feel a bit more authentic. Stayed here at the end of our 2 week holiday and it was a nice change of pace from sight seeing in busy cities. Good location if you want to do some hiking of parts of the Kumano kodo. 3 hour train trip to Osaka airport for out flight home was easy. Western food offering at the buffet was ok and a bit limited for the kids. Minor criticism only and the Japenese food was great in particular the seafood/tuna/etc. Wouldn't stay here if you have young kids and they are not relatively well behaved.

• TENG CHYE (1/5): The incident marred & spoilt our stay in TAOYA. - Breakfast was great with a wide generous spread. The (acting manager)Tsuda Keito was incredibly and unbelievably unhelpful and severely lacking in interpersonal skills with the Hotel guests. I had made reservation for Two Rooms in TAOYA over 2 nights’ stay. Tsuda Keito gave us one room (105) with a Shower Room for me & another room (135) but without a Shower Room for my brother & his wife. Tsuda Keito repeatedly maintained that we were given the second room 135 for my brother & his wife because I had asked for a room without the Shower Room. This inproductive conversation went on for 1.5 hours with Tsuda Keito refusing to give my brother & his wife a normal room (like mine & with a Shower room attached. The staff person @ the TAOYA counter had confirmed repeatedly that there were rooms with a Shower Room attached for my brother & his wife to move into. However Tsuda Keito adamantly refused to permit the room change. Tsuda Keito returned to his office. I approached Marie at the check in counter again as I wanted to ask Tsuda Keito for his name. Marie went to the office and took a peep; she confirmed that Tsuda Keito was on the phone asking his superior about my request for Tsuda Keito’s name. Tsuda Keito walked of his office and passed me his name written on a piece of paper. I asked Marie to confirm with Tsuda Keito that TAOYA had empty rooms available. I approached Tsuda Keito a final time about whether he was willing to give my brother & his wife a room with a shower room attached. Surprisingly he agreed that my brother & his wife will be given a room 205 with a Shower room. Tsuda Keith informed to say that my younger brother’s Robert Ti will be given a Room 205 BUT for only one night because TAOYA was having full occupancy. However the following day, no one informed my brother to move out from Room 205 which had a Shower room.

• Carlos (10/5): Espectacular habitación - Lo cierto es que cuando reservé, lo hice incluyendo cena porque me temía que iba a ser difícil encontrar donde cenar allí. Y eso subió mucho el precio respecto a opciones son comida. Así que asumí que había escogido un sito caro en relación calidad precio. Pero me equivocaba totalmente. Es que el sitio está muy bien, y además posiblemente yo seleccioné mal la habitación y cogí una con mucho más de lo que esperaba (y, por supuesto, de lo que necesitaba). Para empezar, mi habitación, la 101, era en realidad un apartamento con una zona recibidor, un amplio salón de estilo japonés (tatami) haciendo esquina (por lo que tenía vistas a la espectacular bahía en la que se encuentra el hotel hacia dos direcciones), zona ajardinada privada, una habitación con dos camas de matrimonio, baño con ducha y bañera de roca separada, y otra bañera de roca en el exterior, accesible desde el salón, y con vistas a la bahía. Vamos, un lujo muy inesperado para mí... Luego, aparte, el hotel disponía de baños onsen (no los usé, tiré de la bañera exterior), zona relax con sillones de masaje, sala de manga (supongo que en japonés), zona de juegos, etc. Y la cena fue en el restaurante buffet, que ciertamente estaba extremadamente muy bien surtido, incluyendo tanto productos orientales como occidentales, y con producto de gran calidad (la especialidad del lugar es el atún, y lo servían de muchas formas diferentes, muy rico) Sinceramente, un lujo que no creo que repita si no vuelve a ser por error... . No vivir en esa habitación... Ahora en serio... es injusto decirlo sin hablar ni una palabra de japonés, pero quizás en un hotel con servicios tan buenos, deberían poder atender mejor en inglés.

They were all very nice but located all on the ground floor so it required an effort to have a quick shower if you don’t want or have time for the full Onsen experience.

We would have loved to stay longer! We enjoyed every minute of our stay.

• Casper (8/5): Relaxing stay in Japan's biggest tuna port - All windows and the balcony overlooked the bay of this small little fishing village. In the morning the tuna fishermen return from the sea to sell their tuna at the local auction and this is a really cool experience. The hotel has everything you wish for including several outdoor hot springs, all you can drink bars and different places to relax. We didn't know about the all you can eat and drink buffet but it was a nice surprise. The all you can eat buffet is what you expect from all you can eat. Not the best quality food you will find in Japan.

• Agnes (9/5): Superb - Lovely resorts, we had a premium room with wonderful view. The majority of the staff were very polite and kind. The hotel is kept in a very good condition, the onsen and the facilities are lovely. The food was a nice and big buffet. They have multiple free alcohol/soft drink/hot drink bars in different areas. There are activities one can do in the resort, like table tennis and karaoke. We requested for a pick up from the station that didn’t arrive, so we had walk to the hotel, which was okay, but then when we asked them to drop us off to the station after check out one of the receptionist staff made us feel as if we were asking for something extraordinary and ultra inconveniencing (the pick up bus was standing right in front of the hotel), thankfully his colleague sorted the transfer out for us.

The main and the family onsens were very nice as well and very small tatoos are allowed which was bonus. The lady who checked us in was super nice and well and made our stay even better. Food choice was large and delicious. My favourite was probably the foot batch overlooking the water. The suveniere shop was great too. All the staff in the hotel made our stay even more enjoyable as they were super nice I didn't really like my room, I booked the ocean view and it was so so. I have booked second room last minute for a family member that said Japanese style without any view and he got soooo much better room than me to which I was very disappointed as I thought I booked the much better room. The description on booking.com of the room is very misleading. We end up switching rooms with my cousins but yeah it was a bit sad and they were fully booked so I couldn't even change my room.

The room was large for 3 people, and included a front and rear sitting area, as well as a balcony overlooking the water. The sunsets and moonrises were beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. It was a short walk from the central part of town, but only about 12 minutes away from good food.

We also spend sometime at lobby which is quite spacious both indoor and outdoor with harbor view. The room need renovation and we book ocean view rooms but they put us on the 4th floor so the view was blocked by the next building roof (room# 401, 403 and 405). We booked 4 rooms only 1 room that has view of the harbor (room# 406). So if you pay for ocean view, please ask for 5th floor. However, the staff doesn't speak English.

Super comfortable and incredibly spacious for our family of 5. The facilities were fabulous, we enjoyed a private onsen - great to have the family all together in one onsen - and also perfect for people with tattoos. We also enjoyed a bit of karaoke and the kids games room was fun too. The buffet dinner and breakfast were incredible. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend.

I couldn't find information on this ahead of time. If your tattoos are larger they do have two reservable private onsens for a fee. We didn't dine at the restaurant. There are vending machines throughout the property for soda, tea, and beer/alcohol. Nice views of the ocean. ~ a ten minute walk to the train station and a 4 minute walk to the tuna market. We booked a traditional Japanese room that had a toilet but no shower. Comfortable. As others mentioned our room seemed a little dated but the rest of the facilities we used seemed to have been updated. Would stay again.

Extra amenities in the hotel like a bouldering wall and a manga corner. Hotel has a free shuttle to the train station (~11 min walk otherwise). Sent my luggage through the system they have specifically for doing so. Requested it to go to Narita airport. Staff at the hotel didn't warn me that the company they use doesn't ship to Narita airport (as of time of stay). They did not try to contact me or let me know in any way, just charged me and took it. If I hadn't coincidentally looked up the company (to figure out where I'd need to pick it up at the airport) I would have never known. It got shipped to a different location, not too far from the airport but not IN the airport, and nobody at any point made any effort to warn me about that. When I realized it, I reached out to the hotel, and they said they basically can't track it after it shipped so to call the company myself, which I understand, but at the same time, don't just give people's luggage away and not even tell me it's not going to the place I believe I sent it! I had to call the company and explain that the woman didn't tell me at all where it would be going instead. At least the shipping company was apologetic. Also all communication was in Japanese (which was okay for me but might not be for everyone).

• Chingchu (9/5): Great place for a family/friends to stay for a weekend - Great onsen and nice room. The public area is really cozy. The young lady staff is extremely helpful and with great attitude - help us change the air-con temperature, rent a bike, drive us to the station, etc. There are milk in the vending machine which is perfect. A little bit far away from the station. Will be great if there is a washing machine.

• Edward (1/5): Bad - Nothing! Air conditioner was broken and the technical staff advised me that they will fix it when we were out. Nobody contacted me when I was back at the night time. Presumably, they have fixed the problem. Unfortunately, the problem hadn't been fixed. The air conditioner was off automatically in about 15 to 45 minutes randomly. We called the front desk at 11pm. They sent a guy to look at the problem again. After a brief checking, he offered to change the room and gave me the key on the spot. That means he knew that the air conditioner hadn't been fixed and brought the key of another room with him. The new room was in an inferior condition. I paid a higher price but used a second class service and room. Totally disappointed. Don't recommend others to stay with this old hotel.
