Guest Reviews
- tony (8/5): BUONO E RILASSANTE. - HOTEL COMODO, BUONA POSIZIONE, TRANQUILLA E SERVITA DA STRADE SCORREVOLI CHE PORTANO A NAPOLI E DINTORNI. IL BAGNO ANDREBBE RIVISITATO, ALCUNI ACCORGIMENTI ALLA DOCCIA.
- Claudia (7/5): Rilassante e rigenerante!

- Hussam (10/5): - War alles super
- Jing (6/5): -
- Luiz Antonio (10/5): - Good service
- Mayra (6/5): - Not bad
- Adriana (10/5): - Clean and very nice decoration in reception area.
Plenty of car park space.
7 min by car to the beach ⛱️
- Alessandro (6/5): - Ottimo parcheggio, personale cordialissimo
- Sergio (8/5): - The property itself is what you see, is what you get...what sets this place apart is the great staff. They go above and beyond for their clients and even though I don't speak Italian they communicated and helped me out a lot. I pretty much got ripped off by the tax
- Christopher (8/5): Room change - I did not get the room I ordered, but in all it was good experience. My friend did not make it or it would've been a problem.
- Y5280BUmikek (10/5): Hotel Happy Days Indeed!!! - great hotel with really friendly staff! Giuseppe was welcoming and always happy to help with directions and suggestions, Even though I don’t speak much Italian he went out of his way to translate using his phone to help me as I was traveling on my own it. Would definitely recommend!!!!
- bronaghm978 (2/5): # AVOID # - On arrival we thought it looked nice and grand. We had dinner on the 1st night in a packed restaurant, which was a good sign to us.
Next morning we didn't make it down for breakfast as we were tired from travelling the night before and breakfast as @ 8am. The man on reception was rather accommodating as he made us a coffee when we got up.
We decided to go for a walk to find a shop, which ended up being over a mile on a very busy road with no footpath. The road was filthy with dirty nappies and household waste. To get to the beach it was another mile on a main road.
Dinner that evening, we were told to be ready for 8.30pm. We went down no choice on offer, pasta for starter and main course was beef with the sauce poured over it and about 6 diced potatoes on the side. No dessert offered even through it said it on the website.
Next morning went for breakfast what a disappointment. 1 croissant, classic toast (small bread) and a coffee, again not a buffet breakfast which it said on the website and the pictures shown on the website.
No food served anywhere in the hotel until dinner time. Breakfast @ 8AM dinner and 8. 30pm, 12hrs between meals.
We bought drink from the bar which was 2 years out of date (3 out of our 4 drinks out of date).
We went to the pool and got told it was out of service but would be ready in 2 days, this was not the case, we got told we couldn't use it. No one else in the hotel apart from us, walking around trying to find something to do and to eat but nothing was available.
The man on reception give us a number to a taxi to take us to Naples, he said he is cheap €40. So we booked it, on return the taxi man charged us €250. Naples is only a 40km round trips from the hotel.
We spent all the next day looking for another hotel and we have found one, which is great and we would highly recommend it to anyone hotel La Costiera.
Hotel Happy Days PLEASE AVOID, AVOID, AVOID
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property address seemed to be wrong so was a little hard to find. But once we got there we really enjoyed it. The staff were incredibly accommodating and helped out with transport struggles which was awesome. Only spent one night here but would have liked to stay longer.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Personale disponibile bellà struttura camera spaziosa.
- Martin (8/5): ok - Das Hotel Happy Day liegt ca. 20 Km nördlich von Neapel, ziemlich ländlich
- Gayle Weiss (6/5): Budget Choice - This wasn't one of my favorite places. The room was clean, but there was absolutely no hot water pressure, so no shower. That sucked!
- Verified traveler (10/5): sorpresa - posto tranquillo,camere spaziose,parcheggio interno ,da ritornarci
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very good stay for the price you stay. Every nearby city is easily accessible.
- titti796 (2/5): Nowhere - It's in the middle of nowhere, could not find it. Once found the place it badly needs modernization, on they website they say they have a pool and the map shows not far from shops and bars well lets put it this way : the pool it's not theirs and can only use with a fee if they have no events ( this should be taken off from their website they use it to attract people ) there is no way you can walk down the shops as no sidewalk available and it is very dangerous, the way you can go out take a taxi or get a car. The balconies have nothing for you to sit on and very dirty and lets no talk about the food : the breakfast was very poor with no choice for those on diabetes and the dinner the same very poor no choice you just get what you are given whether you like it or not and again no alternative if you must eat differently due to diabetes/cholesterol or whatever and it should be a variety also no fruit witch is a must just the worse place I have been. Will never go there again......but thanks to Pino, Michele the limousine and Renato they were really nice.
- TrueBlue0007 (2/5): OMG!! - Where do I start! This holiday has been the worst I have ever had... It's built in the middle of no where they have no roads so your trapped in the hotel with over priced food no Taxi. The staff don't speak any English and look like there are money grabbers who don't give two ***** about you.. The train station is 40 mins walk with no pavement. The train station is 14 stops to Naples.. On the station it's full of African immigration with tons of hookers very dangerous.. The meal in the hotel is over priced and they keep putting secret prices on the meal I.E Bread and wait for it Napkin Charge! Please if your English avoid this hotel like the plague! Ohh yes there's no beach it's not look after with rubbish and buildings falling down... The sea you wouldn't put your tiny finger in..No hire of bikes like it said in the website and the pool is out of bounds it's used for the Weddings that they have everyday I was there.. This hotel should be looked at very intensely by holiday watchdogs and taken down from English websites and last on the list is Wifi it doesn't work so your trapped in the hotel with no Wifi it looks like it's on a timer? It goes of every couple of minutes very slow and weak and you can't watch any movies or music on it..No English speaking TVs channels on the television..
- Bradley (8/5): Peaceful for a great price - Beautiful exterior and a great price. The pool area was gorgeous, but the room itself left a lot to desire. The rooms were very dated with a musty smell, but the price is more than reasonable for such a room. The front desk staff spoke little to no English, but were conversent in French, and extremely accommodating and eager to help. They do not accept credit cards as payment, cash only. The location is much less than ideal, not far from the Lincola train station, but impossible to get around the local area without a vehicle due to none of the roadways having sidewalks. There very few local restaurants, all of which have very late opening hours, and you have to travel a few km up the road to find the nearest tow with stores ad restaurants. There are no atms anywhere in the area.
- Dariusz (6/5): Niska cena dobre kolacje płatny basen !!!!!!
- john (4/5): A hotel advertised close to naples, but not! - Imagined the hotel to be close to naples but turned out to be 60 euros taxi fare away,no shops or anything around its location which meant for someone like me who wouldn't dare to drive in italy,be at their mercy for everything from bottled water to expensive dinners.had to risk life and health to walk in scorching heat to reach a traon station about 25mins away to get to naples and back.would not recommend this hotel at all. Breakfast is a joke, swimming pool is always hired out to other parties or not in use.it wasn't a holiday it was a 5 star jail.
- michaelfQ6290FX (4/5): FULL OF PROMISE - Rooms were very poor and inadequate, no complimentary tee or coffee , One air con remote for 3 rooms , which was controlled by main desk , bath room needed decorating, the shower was uncontrollable , either too hot or too cold,in the bed room the curtains needed washing , most of the plug sockets were faulty and the lighting constantly flickered..The Breakfast was pathetic , one croissant , dry Swedish toast .
A non descriptive juice drink and cold coffee, in 50 years of travelling the worst i have ever experienced , the staff stood and watched in case you took more , even to the point they actually served you with your one croissant. The Restaurant was never opened , they set a table if you wanted to bring in a takeaway., The swimming pool was hardly accessible, the two days we managed to use it , they wanted to charge us 60 euros. This Hotel is basically an add on to a Wedding event location in a out of the way back lane , which is probably handy for all the local hookers who line the streets around this area . been coming to napoli for some 60 years as i have family locally , too many of us to put on them , but wont ever stay at Happy Days again
Personeel is zeer vriendelijk.
Smaak was redelijk alleen weinig groenten.
- Victoria (4/5): Very dated - Would have been very nice in its day. The location was ideal for site seeing but a lot of the business surrounding the hotel were closed down.
- Jacek (10/5): - Bardzo ładny kompleks hotelowy, pyszne kolacje, śniadania niestety włoskie (jak ktoś lubi na słodko, to tak: rogalik, nutella, dżem, masło, herbata, kawa, mleko, sok) Blisko do dworca kolejki (1 km), a stamtąd do centrum Neapolu za 2 euro. Do morza ponad 1 km. Najlepiej w oba miejsca podjechać samochodem. Prysznic mały. Czysto.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel confortevole e ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
- Fretj (4/5): Good price, initially... - Overall a nice hotel when it comes to the exterior and interior! The dinner was okay (if you have it included in your reservation, otherwise i recommend eating somewhere else...), but the breakfast was limited and could have been more varied. The pool was nice! We came here without any means of transportation which, in hindsight, was a very bad idea. It is literally in the middle of nowhere and the distance to the nearest bus and trainstation is a 30 minute walk. You can get a ride from the hotel but they charge quite a lot for it, sadly...
- Katie (10/5): Nice hotel at Licola - Hotel was really beautiful, great personnel, very friendly and extremely nice people, always so helpful and extremely kind. Speak good English. Thank you very, very much!
Clean rooms, airconditioning (which was even not needed, despite of +31 outside at the daytime), fridge at the room, TV, wifi everywhere, pool.
Food is very good - and you can even lunch there with a really great price!
The hotel is best to visit when you have a car or scooter or for the excursion buses.
Though there is not much nearby within the 1.5 km of the hotel, it is possible to visit nearby places, like Pozzuoli, Cuma, Baia, Solfatara, even the islands (Ischia, Capri, Procida, Naples).
Take a bus from Licola station or from the highway, next to the Esso gas station.
Buses go to Cuma, Varcaturo, Pozzuoli.
Cuma archeological ruins and caves can be reached even by walking - about 3-4 km.
I suggest you to take the bus to Pozzuoli and go to see solfatara vulcano, amphitheatre, Serapides temple ruins, then take the Cumana train to Fusaro, to visit Baia archeological park - ruins, go to the excursion of the underwater city of Baia. Baia museum. These last ones are 4 places which can be visited within 2 days withone ticket, price 4 euros only.
Rione Terra - Pozzuoli ancient part can be visited on Saturdays and Sundays.
From Pozzuoli you can take ferry to visit Ischia, Procida and Capri islands.
Circumflegrea goes to Naples.
For the bus, train, ferry timetables download the Moovit app from google play.
- Vince1226 (4/5): Married Couple - Booked this Hotel after reading the previous reviews but when we eventually found the Hotel it was well away from everywhere. The Hotel included breakfast and evening meal. The breakfast was very poor, a pot of tea and a packet of crisp bread and a croissant. The evening meal was very small.
If we would have been told the truth we would have been willing to pay more somewhere else.
Could not go out at night after the evening meal due to the location. Told that could not use the pool with no good reason and also no table and chairs on the patio.
The guy on reception not helpful or friendly. The only help was from the night guy.
- Christopher (10/5): - I enjoyed the fireworks the city had put on. The naval base is close.
- Christopher (10/5): Happiest days in Naples! - Mt. Vesuvius is only am hour away. The beach is 20 mins and Pompeii is a sight to see.
- Roya (6/5): - If you are planning to get to this place with public transport THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO BOOK. The trip from the terminal will cost you €60 and the taxi service they will call from the hotel is so dodgy you are guaranteed to pay at least double the correct rates. I tried to get there using the train services cause there is a train station and the walk from the station to the hotel nearly cost my life as there are no sidewalks and you have to share the road with cars. Had there not been a kind person on a scooter offering me a ride, I would not have made it to the hotel in one piece.
Last but not least, the staff speak no English so prepare yourself for games of shrades.
- Pawdaddy (8/5): Nice Place With Great Atmosphere - Stayed a week in this hotel and the rooms were adequate - they turned the power off to the air-conditioning in the rooms during the day while guest were gone and that made it a challenge to cool the room down by Western standards. Really enjoyed the staff and they were very helpful. This place was a challenge to locate but was close to where we were doing meetings. Did not eat in the restaurant so have no comment on it's quality.
