A large supermarket in front of the hotel. The hotel stuff was able to speak English , cute, and kind for me. Not good) There is a few electric plugs. There is no plug near a working desk.

• Antonio (9/5): Great place to stay - Very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They kept our bags after check-out so we could explore the city a bit more. The room was a nice size and had great amenities. Air conditioning was a most and it worked very well. The location is great, close to subway and several bus stops.
• Jane (6/5): Pleasant room and staff, hard bed - The staff were pleasant. Big room with a bath and shower. Tea and coffee making facilities but they were in a kitchen 3 floors down. I don’t mind a fairly hard bed but this was incredibly hard. It was more uncomfortable for me than sleeping on a Korean mattress on the floor.
• Purnima (7/5): Ok for short stay - Cleanliness. Friendly staff. Fresh and clean towels and bedlinen. Not far from Metro, about 10 mins on foot. Two convenience stores close by. Laundromat and a cafe right across the road. Toiletries, hair dryer and hair iron in the room. Microwave in the shared kitchen and dining area. Coffee machine in the reception. Thin walls. No sound proof for noise from corridor, next room or upper flows.

• 187dunc (8/5): above average - The hotel is a 5min walk from the nearest metro station from the Banwoldang Station. The staff are really friendly and super helpful. The room, was actually a pleasant surprise, almost a kind of Japanese feel about it. The only thing that was a little bit annoying was the lighting control panel. Instead of making things easy, it was a faff (a pain) to operate. The room was clean and there was plenty of room to move around. During my stay, one of the members of staff tried to help me out re the storage lockers in the station. The storage lockers for some reason require a South Korean mobile number, so they can be operated, which of course I didn't have. So they tried to help the best way they could. So if that person reads this. For the lockers that require a phone number. You can actually put any number into it. Just as long as you remember the number you use. When I say any number, it has to start with '01093' and then put any other number in. But thanks for your help. Also there's a large supermarket across the road, which was really handy.

The only thing I disliked was that I needed to go down to the desk to get more body gel and such, it'd be nice if they sent a refresh package up to room every 3 days or something. Or a bar of soap would have been better than the body wash.

The room was big enough, only the bed was hard (but that is very personal) the bathroom was very good. The towels are bigger than facetowels so I was very happy :-) So nice there was also a kitchen we could use to eat something. Good facility. Only the bed were a bit too hard for us. And maybe you can offer some knife, fork and spoon at the reception to use in kitchen and bring it clean afterwards back. Would be useful :-)

• Julián (8/5): Recomendable - Habitación limpia y cómoda. Zona común junto a recepción agradable para trabajar o tomarse un café. Poca oferta de restaurantes alrededor pero el hotel está bien comunicado, con paradas de bus y metro cercanas. Justo enfrente del hotel hay un supermercado muy grande. Como puntos negativos, hay unos peldaños a la entrada del edificio y el personal parco en palabras.
• saerom (10/5): - 만족했어요! 대구는 첫 방문인데, 동성로와 인접해 있어서 교통도 편리했고, 깨끗했어요. 룸 컨디션도 좋았고, 무엇보다 조명이 밝아 집에 있는 듯이 편안한 여행이었어요 다만 우풍이 있어 방이 조금 추웠네요. 온도를 올려놔도 바닥만 따뜻하고 공기가 추웠던거 빼고는 다 만족합니다. 다음에 대구에 방문하게 되면 또 방문할 예정이에요!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Clean and Great Water Pressure - Stayed here for one night for a business trip. The good: The staff at check-in was quite friendly. The room was very clean. Amazing water pressure and very hot water. The bad: The room ran hot, and I couldn't turn off the floor heating. The refrigerator somehow froze everything even though the setting was correct (I even tried adjusting the setting and got the same results). Additional notes: No water boiler in the room; you have to go to the shared kitchen if you want to heat up water for consumption. I think the place is also understaffed; during check-out, nobody was at the front desk, and there was a note saying that staff was checking rooms. However, this could be attributed to COVID.

• SEONGHO (2/5): 비즈니스는 무슨.. 그냥 모텔. - 글쎄요.. 프론트데스크의 담당직원이..숙박고객을 마치 잠점 범죄자 취급하듯이 엄청 불편하더군여. 하지 않아도 될 말을 너무 많이 하더군여. 호텔주변은 무슨 공장같았으며 길도 좋지 않더군요. 가격도 싸지 않았는데.. 시설은 그냥 딱 일반 모텔이었습니다. 이름에 비즈니스만 넣었지 실상 그냥 모텔입니다. 다시는 가고 싶지 않은 호텔로 등록하렵니다.

• babykong (6/5): Clean & Comfortable. - I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Casual House Sono. I had a spacious private en-suite room on the 3rd floor, which was pretty basic but had everything I needed for my short stay in Daegu. Toiletries were provided and replenished when I asked for more. The staff were very welcoming, and considering I don’t speak any Korean we were able to communicate effectively. The hotel is a good 8 minutes walk from both Myeongdeok & Banwoldang metro stations, and I’d probably say around 20 minutes (depending on how fast you walk) to the main shopping/eating hub of Daegu. I did not use the laundry facilities here, but my friend did, and she had no complaints. Considering this hotel is also a hostel, it is incredibly quiet and I was not disturbed by any noise. If you’re looking for decent accommodation which is good value for money, then I would highly recommend that you stay here.

• WAN-CHEN (10/5): - 機場出來搭乘401公車即可到達半月堂站2號出口，出來後直走約5分鐘，看到一家三角窗的烤雞店後左轉即到達，房間不大但很乾淨，還有浴缸，櫃台兩個輪班的姐姐人都非常nice，唯一美中不足就是床太硬了...

• SHU-WEI (8/5): 交通便捷 - 從大邱機場搭程401公車及可到達，會比地鐡方便，附件交通便捷，離半月堂站很近，要逛東城路用走路也能到達哦！整體不錯，只可惜浴室排水不佳其他都很完善。
• Jyunqing (6/5): Could be better - First of all, this hotel is also known as "Casual House Sono". If you use Google, this name pops out more often. We decided to take taxi from Dongdaegu stn to the hotel and skipped the metro knowing that there were no lift or escalators (common in SK). The nearest metro exit is a good 10 mins walk. There's a big supermarket opp the hotel but not much restaurants or eateries. Staff was helpful but could only speak limited English. Our Suite room was located on the 2nd floor together with the dorms. There's a Kitchen and game room on the same floor as well. Suite room size was alright for 3 people and the toilet size was larger than usual hotels. Beds and pillows, however, were not comfortable. The platform bed frames had sharp edges and if you're not careful, you'll hurt your lower legs when you knock onto them. Suggest the hotel to provide extra pillows as well. For guests who stayed for 2 days or more, you can get free mineral water from counter.
• Lin (10/5): - 飯店位置離地鐵站不遠！斜對面就有超市和大創可以逛！服務人員英文不錯，溝通沒有障礙，除了可以寄放行李外也以代訂橋村炸雞，房間內部也還蠻乾淨的！唯一的缺點應該是隔音不是太理想

• OnAir749021 (8/5): Comfortable, clean convenient - The Hostel is easy to get to from the train station, you can either catch a bus or a train and it is a very short walk. Because it is close to a train station and major bus route, you can pretty much get anywhere from here. My room, the kitchen, bathroom and breakroom were all clean and comfortable, I wouldn't hesitate to return based on the cleanliness of the hostel. The beds all have good curtains and a reading lamp so you can have privacy. If you need to cook things there is a stove and a microwave and a fridge. There is also comfortable seating, I ended up often studying in the downstairs lobby area where there were comfortable chairs in the evenings. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we communicated pretty well just using a translation app. I always had good experiences when speaking to the staff. The only downside for me was that the laundry facilities weren't convenient. There was only a small 1/2 load washing machine for guests, no dryer or washing line and the washing machine runs for half an hour. I stayed for 5 days and I was travelling around Korea for a month with 2 pairs of pants and 5 shirts for everyday wear, I needed to do laundry. As it was September, it was hot and humid and I was often hiking so my shirts were pretty sweaty and smelly. I had to do 2 loads of washing because of the size of the washing machine and one of my shirts still had stinky armpits afterwards because of the short cycle. Because there was no dryer or place to dry clothes, I spent the entire day (9am-6pm) in the break room with my clothes and socks draped over chairs to dry them. My knickers and bra were hung up on a makeshift washing line over my bed. By 6pm my shirts, knickers and bra were mostly dry but my pants and socks were still damp so I hung my pants in the little closet with the door open and strung my socks up on the washing line over my bed while I slept. Because of the issue with laundry facilities, I would hesitate to return here or I would choose a hostel with better laundry facilities. I hope that Sono Guesthouse improves its laundry facilities for guests, because honestly otherwise it was a very clean and comfortable place to stay where I would be happy to return.

• HUEI LING (10/5): - Hostel數一數二的讚!!! 老闆人超好,所有的設備很新且有設計感,價錢又便宜,大廳有遊戲室(裡面有很多桌遊.投籃機)二樓公用廚房除了可煮飯外還有冰箱.洗衣機可使用 對面是超市營業到晚上11點,馬路斜對面有家厲害的炸雞店,離半月堂站走路可到(但我們都搭小黃) 找不到缺點了 ,非常推薦啊!!!!!

• JIAU-YING (10/5): - 住宿幾天逐漸熟悉大邱市區地理位置的感想，覺得飯店位在非常便利的地點，從機場搭乘401公車可抵達，帶著大件行李搭車也沒遇到什麼困難。飯店剛好在地鐵明德站和半月堂站中間，走路都是幾分鐘的路程而已，在明德站也可以搭乘單軌電車，往半月堂站方向甚至可以直接步行到中央路站，最熱鬧好逛的區域。飯店對面有超市和便利商店，附近也有炸雞店、燒烤店，房間住起來舒適安靜，是一個鬧中取靜、交通便利的住宿好選擇。

• EMD100 (8/5): Clean and comfortable - I had a comfortable stay at this hotel. I arrived just before midnight and this was not a problem for the reception - the staff on reception were always friendly and wanting to help. They spoke a small amount of English, enough to communicate the basics but anything complex might have been tricky. The room was basic but comfortable and clean - there was a strange system where water from the shower if it was at the wrong angle seemed to run off the bath and onto the bath room floor so the bathroom got very wet very quickly. There are communal areas and a kitchen which was also comfortable and clean. However it was not at all sociable when I was there - I did not really see any fellow travellers apart from briefly at reception. Location was convenient - the 401 bus stops just down the road so it is easy to reach from the airport - and a taxi at 11pm was under KW10,000. Its within walking distance (well, probably about 30 mins) of some of the main shopping streets and is situated in a relaxed low rise area. Note that there are check in time restrictions if you are staying in a dorm room (for the benefit of your fellow dorm mates!). A solid choice if you are staying Daegu!

• CliffLodge (8/5): Clean and comfortable hotel - We, my wife and I, stayed five nights for sight seeing Daegu and Gyeongju. The hotel location is good and convenient to stay. Top Mart, a large super market, is just across the street, several local Korean restaurants are within walking distance. Room was clean and there was bathtub in the bathroom. Laundry machine was available at the shared kitchen. We could stay comfortably.

• Yuki (8/5): - 滞在2泊目のクリーニングが徹底してなく髪の毛が床や浴槽にかなり落ちていた。モーニングコールを2回頼んだが1日目は掛かってこなかった。朝食付きで取ったが、朝食付きのプランは無いと言われ、ドミトリー滞在者用に食パンとドリンクの用意はあるので、それを自分で調理し皿洗いしてもらえればご自由にと言われた。悪い点ばかりあげてしまいましたが、スタッフは皆さんフレンドリーで感じよかったです。

• Jia Jia (8/5): Nice room - In the middle of 2 metro station, hence some walk from the metro needed. Very beautiful reno of the cafe at L1. Clean room. Simple breakfast provided.
• Ayako (6/5): - ゲストハウスとビジネスホテルor モーテルの中間的な印象でした。清潔感ありバスタブは足を伸ばせます。周りも静かでゆっくりできる。(怪しげな青いLEDが残念)他、キッチンがあり洗濯ができたのが良かった。 チェックイン時の説明はほぼなし。

• Min-Chuan (8/5): - 是一間乾淨、舒適的飯店，櫃檯人員也很親切，還可以寄放行李⋯ 只是提供的早餐份量很少很少，早上8點多就完全沒有了
• Libby (8/5): - 公共空間大，房間內有小沙發, 離半月堂站近。但床偏硬，且隔音不好, 隔壁用水會聽到加壓器水聲。

• hs (10/5): - 대구에서는 찾기힘든 숙소네요 특급호텔아니면 호텔이라고 쓰여있고 모텔인곳이 많은데 여기는 제대로된 중저가 호텔이라 저는 대만족이였어요 규모는 작지만 심플하고 예쁜 객실과 호텔 내부였네요 체크인시간보다 일찍 도착했더니 객실 정비후 직원이 점검까지 마쳐야 체크인 가능하다고 해서 잠깐 기다렸더니 정말 간만에 보는 깨끗한 객실이였습니다. 신기한건 저도 혼자출장온 여자지만 거의 대부분 손님들이 여자더라구요 장기 출장에 편하게 2층에 부대시설이 괜찮았습니다.회의실도 있고 공용키친에 전자렌지 인덕션등 주방기기들도 있고 세탁도 가능해서 유용하게 이용했습니다. 교통편도 좋고 있는동안 안전한 느낌이 들어 앞으로 대구로 올때는 다른데 검색할 수고를 덜었네요.
