• Lina (10/5): Very nice . - The location is excellent, within walking distance of Mount Kinabalu Park. There are two restaurants nearby — one directly across from the park closes at 7:00 PM, and there's a Chinese restaurant ahead that serves very delicious food but closes at 4:00 PM. A small issue occurred upon check-in, but the hotel resolved it very well. The weather at Mount Kinabalu is generally cool, so taking an afternoon shower isn't cold at all. The Wi-Fi speed is good, and the hotel is surrounded by a quiet, elegant environment with a few lovely little cats. You can also spot several bird species commonly seen in Mount Kinabalu — I Chestnut hooded laughingthrush / Chestnut crested yuhina /Little cuckoo dove../ Black capped white eye / I managed to photograph many of them right at the hotel . The room is very clean. The staff's service attitude is also very good. We stayed 4 nights.

• Shing Hei (8/5): The hotel is located in rural area so you should not expect too much for facilities. A cost-effective choice for climber - Very close to Kinabalu park entrance. Hotel can help to keep your luggage’s when you are climbing Mount Kinabalu WiFi connection is poor. When there are too many guests connecting to hotel’s WIFI, connection to Internet will fail.

When it rained, it was so cold, the blanket was soggy, and it was cold even when I turned on the water heater, so it was hard to wash my hair and I caught a cold because I didn't have a dryer. I couldn't sleep well because I could hear the sound of talking in the next room. The location was close to the entrance to Kinabalu Park and had a nice view, but it would be the same everywhere around.

• Sarah (6/5): - Tolle Lage direkt am Eingang des Nationalparks . Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen. Schöne Gartenanlage mit toller Aussicht. Alles sehr einfach gehalten und schon in die Jahre gekommen. Keinerlei Komfort im Bad, so fehlen Ablageflächen und es gibt keine Trennung von Dusche und Toilette. Die Unterkünfte sind sehr hellhörig, so dass man unweigerlich von seinen Nachbarn aufgeweckt wird.

• Jeremy (1/5): - The view from the garden. They were understanding when we arrived late due to driving conditions. Misleading advert. Best described as a damp cabin, certainly not a "superior twin". Very damp, run down. We could see straight through the floorboards to the soil below. Mouldy curtains. Shower room was a concrete add on, not even painted. I asked politely if they had a less damp/better room and was told they were fully booked - this was a lie as at least two other rooms were made up and not occupied until we left at 8 the following morning. Avoid.

• Besterleo (8/5): Very good - The cds,i also like all the cats that were there,just need some good coffee i think The reception are supposed to be a bit more closer to the room that people stayed in since most of the people are from gunung kinabalu trip,heavy and sore legs and need to climb the stairs again right after checking out ouch or just make the receptionist be at the gate right before people park below but overall its okay

• Nick (8/5): Great location near the Kinabalu park gate - Great location - it's an easy walk to the park headquarters and there are superb views of the valley from the guesthouse. There's no restaurant so without a car you'd be limited to the very fine Tahubang restaurant opposite the park gate for food (Box Hotel has a restaurant but we didn't try it). Friendly staff and spacious rooms with comfy beds. The drive is VERY steep - it's a bit of a nerve test driving up and down it!

• Amirah (8/5): Place to stay for akinabalu hikers - Cheap price for cozy stay. My 1st choice to stay whenever we need to hike Kinabalu Mountain. The residence are in front of Kinabalu Park. None.

• Lim (7/5): Had a wonderful stay but was woken up by those noisy hikers on our chalet balcony. - Wonderful chalet, peaceful and cold. Fast check in and friendly staff. Wish they provide breakfast. We are staying at chalet 5 superior triple room with parking space. So the chalet has a spacious balcony and in the early morning. Hikers will go into the chalet balcony and making noise as it is wooden floor & talking loudly, taking pictures while we were sleeping. Woke us up. Hope owner will do something about that like put a no entry sign or a gate.

• AlexandraFelix (9/5): Mt.Kinabalu Stay - The best thing about this place is it's location to Sabah Park entrance is only 1-2 mins drive. If you're going for Mt.Kinabalu hike the next day, this is the place. Room is big enough and clean, the only downside is the shower room is not completely enclosed, when it's windy it'll get very cold when showering. Staffs are friendly and helpful.
