• Daniel (10/5): Friendly staff and a great value in a killer location near the entrance to Taroko Gorge. - The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were able to get me a room a bit early as they could tell I was quite jetlagged. There was one person on staff who spoke much better English than I speak any language other than English and she was great in helping me plan my time around Hualien.

Schönes Garten. 2 weißen Enten und eine Katze. Katzensprung in Taroko Gorge. Kostenloses Parking. Waschmaschine und Trockner. Alles war bestens. Eigentlich nichts. Man muss nur in Betracht nehmen, dass das Hotel nicht in Hualien liegt, sonder ca 25 Minuten mit dem Auto von Hualien entfernt ist. Eine Bushaltestelle (Hualien-Taroko) ist zwar gleich vor dem Hotel, aber ein Auto ist trotzdem empfehlenswert.

The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety. I hired an electric bike and rode to the gorge which was beautiful and not too difficult or too far to get to. The town is cute.

• Simon Timothy (9/5): It was a very good stay. - The cats and the ducks. The lobby, dining area and garden. The friendly and helpful staff. The location. The view - mountains and ocean - from the room. The food at breakfast could have been warmer. There could have been more choice for vegetarians at breakfast. The adjacent restaurant for evening meals was far too brightly lit.
• Merle (10/5): - Ein tolles Hotel mit herrlichem Blick (wir waren im 7. Stock untergebracht)! Die große Straße davor trübt das Erlebnis nicht, einfach in die Ferne ins Grün, auf die Klippen und das Meer schauen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns einen Fahrer für einen einstündigen Ausflug zum Chongde Beach und den Qingshui Cliffs organisiert. Es hätte auch E-Bikes zum Mieten gegeben, haben wir allerdings nicht genutzt. Zu Fuß sind's etwa 15 min bis zum Wasser, auch einige Läden und Cafés/Restaurants/Imbisse sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Toll, dass ein Shuttle-Service vom und zum Bahnhof angeboten wird. Auch das Frühstück war sehr gut und vielfältig! Wir würden beim nächsten Mal nicht nur eine Nacht bleiben, das Hotel ist so gemütlich und der Ort wirklich entschleunigend. Auch wenn im Taroko Nationalpark noch nicht viele Wege wieder geöffnet sind nach dem schweren Erdbeben von 2024, lohnt sich der Ort zum Radeln, Spazieren, Klippen-Bestaunen. Auch Ausflüge nach Hualien sind von dort aus unkompliziert möglich, mit dem Zug ist es ja nur ein Katzensprung.

• Marc-Philippe (10/5): A quiet gem with a warm, family-run feel - It’s a small, very quiet hotel with a warm, almost family-run atmosphere. The staff are extremely considerate and genuinely care about their guests, which made the stay especially enjoyable. The room was very peaceful, and the breakfast was absolutely excellent, with a different selection each day. Everything felt home-cooked and prepared with real care. The team was also incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Nothing really Just be aware that lots of hiking options in Taroko are currently still not available

• Justine (10/5): - the view from the room we booked was unbelievable! room was huge and clean; staff was so kind and helpful, breakfast was exceptional. we were able to walk to train station, bus stops, restaurant for dinner without any major issues there was always a sidewalk until you get into xincheng old town, but then street is small and it’s less busy with traffic. we ran into many dogs, some stray and some not, but none of them gave us any trouble. some were really cute 🥺
• Yen Chantel (7/5): Great breakfast and atmosphere, but cramped room and overpriced food. - The breakfast offers a good variety, catering to kids who want European classics and adults who enjoy Asian flavors. The room was small, but we loved how clean it was and the relaxing atmosphere with a view. We loved the lobby's atmosphere and the great garden just outside. Best of all, there’s a resident cat that the kids absolutely adored petting. The hotel provides a quick pickup from Xincheng Station, which we really appreciated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room with two double beds was too small for four people with luggage. After arriving late and finding no other dining options for me and my kids, we ate at the hotel restaurant. It was overpriced and disappointing, which left a bit of a sour taste. The rooms weren't very soundproof; standing in the hallway or by the elevator, I could clearly hear normal conversations coming from inside our room.

• Corinna (9/5): Sehr schönes Hotel nahe NP - Das Hotel liegt nahe am Parkeingang an der Hauptstraße. Moderne Lobby mit Frühstücksraum, man fühlt sich sehr wohl. Die Hauskatzen waren während des Frühstücks draußen, darauf wurde auch geachtet. Wir waren zu dritt im Zimmer, sehr gute Zimmergrösse mit Ausblick auf die Berge und in der Ferne das Meer. Klare Weiterempfehlung!!!
• Martin (10/5): Beautiful Hotel with amazing staff that was highly devoted to provide the best experience! - The staff was very nice, beautifully decorated interior and garden, the location was also perfect - close to xincheng train station and by Bus only 10 minutes to Taroko Visitor Center. If there was anything worth mentioning, the warm parts of the breakfast like sausage and cabbage were not actually warm but still the breakfast was very good!
• osnat (10/5): - צוות מקסים, המלון מעוצב בטוב טעם, גינה מקסימה ונוף יפה. הכל נקי ומסודר. ארוחת בוקר טובה. המלון קרוב מאד לכניסה לשמורת טרוקו. המלון בסביבה פחות נעימה, אין כמעט מסעדות או מקומות לצאת אליהם בערב. אנחנו צמחוניים ונאלצנו לנסוע כל ערב למסעדה במרחק חצי שעה נסיעה.

• Han (10/5): Heel goed hotel vlakbij Taroko Gorge. - Alles was perfect. Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Mooie ruime kamer (we kregen een gratis upgrade), prachtig uitzicht. Grote badkamer, goeie bedden. Geweldig uitgebreid ontbijt, zowel westers als Taiwanees. Restaurant was ook heel goed. En vlakbij Taroko Gorge. Een tweede stoeltje op de kamer zou fijn zijn.

• Katherine (10/5): Best hotel experience of my life - I can't say enough about our experience here. I've stayed in fancier, more expensive hotels but this one is my favorite. Everything was top-notch from the room to the staff to the breakfast. It is truly a perfect hotel, and we didn't want to leave. The rooms smell like a forest and have the most stunning view of the mountains. The breakfast buffet is small but excellent. I still dream of the radish cakes and the pumpkin oat soy milk. We also loved that they have laundry machines down in the basement and the cutest cats that sleep in the lobby. We showed up with a tandem bike which is not the easiest to store but they accommodated it. I left my jacket behind, and they worked tirelessly with me to send it back to me. Every step of the way the staff were so friendly, they felt like family by the end. The location is an easy bike ride to Taroko Gorge. While the gorge is worth the trip to Taiwan alone, this hotel is worth the trip to the gorge!! Nothing--everything was wonderful!

• Veronica (10/5): The hotel not to be missed! - A small, refined artistic oasis in the middle of this rough landscape — like finding a piece of quiet beauty where you least expect it! This hotel exceeded all our expectations. It was full of art - real paintings, handcrafts, glass vases and aquariums of the most unusual shapes, beautiful flowers everywhere, a mix of classical and traditional local music playing in the lobby, small design solutions in all details of the room, even the glass window between the room and bathroom was made so that when you keep the bathroom lights on, it looks like a sunset on the ancient Chinese silk painting. The staff in the hotel was very friendly, attentive and helpful, not all of them spoke very good English, but they tried their best. And the food in the hotel restaurant (both breakfast and dinner) was definitely the best in the village. Whenever you are in Xincheng, this hotel is definitely not to be missed!

• Tom (Prague) (10/5): Cítili jsme se zde jako v oáze (skvěle). - Tento hotel byl nejlepší z těch, které jsme na Tchaj-wanu za 2 týdny zažili. Krásná hotelová hala. Mimořádně příjemný personál. Skvělá bufetová snídaně. Hotelová zahrada. Pračka a sušička k individuálnímu použití! Škoda, že po zemětřesení stále nebyl přístupný Národní park Taroko.

• Maria Gisela (10/5): - The hotel staff, Vivian, was very helpful and kind, assisting us to find an English speaking guide for a tour in the area and providing information to visit Taroko National Park and explore the area. The hotel is very comfortable, the view of the mountains from the room is beautiful. The breakfast provided was delicious, we really enjoyed the Chinese breakfast style and the buffet as well. We really enjoyed our stay :) N/A

• Marco (10/5): Ottimo rapporto qualità (altissima) / prezzo (medio). Lo consigliamo vivamente! - Tutto!! Qualità altissima. Ottima posizione per visitare Taroko e vicino al centro del paese è alla stazione. La stanza era ampia e bellissima con vista fantastica (7° piano), bagno molto bello e pulitissimo con accessori e doccia davvero grande. La colazione è stata la migliore che abbiamo trovato in tutta Taiwan (sia salata che dolce, molta scelta e ottimi sapori). Abbiamo anche cenato due sere e la loro cucina hakka e taiwanese era davvero molto buona. La hall e la lobby sono molto belle e accoglienti. Il personale è stato sempre molto gentile e attento ad ogni nostra necessità: davvero un ottimo servizio, molto premurosi e cordiali. Il prezzo è stato sorprendente contenuto per un hotel a 4 stelle (reali e meritate!)... Molto competitivi. Ottimo rapporto qualità /prezzo. Consigliatissimo!

• fqCHJ (9/5): 住房景色優美，地點方便。上山下海往北往南都方便 - 房間的風景可以遠眺清水斷崖與海面，可以看見星空與日出。有免治馬桶座，浴室有熱風乾燥。早餐符合期待，看出有用心準備。 希望電視系統可以結合網路系統配合投影手機或筆電。畢竟現在世代喜歡看有線電視沒那麼多了，比重朝網路節目改變。而且若有需要也方便臨時遠端辦公。

• IvanLD (10/5): Fantàstic - Increïble sorpresa d'hotel. Amb una ubicació fantàstica a tocar de l'entrada al parc de Taroko. Un hotel novíssim, amb unes instal·lacions fantàstiques, una habitació enorme amb unes vistes meravelloses, uns llits comodíssims, el bany fantàstic, i tot impecablement net. Pots aparcar just davant de l'hotel. L'esmorzar es fantàstic i molt ben presentat. La relació qualitat-preu és senzillament fabulosa. Repetiria sense dubte. Si vols anar caminant al centre de la població, hauràs de caminar una mica... però rès dramàtic. A part d'això, és una opció fantàstica per visitar Taroko.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and the hot chocolate was the best. The staff were all very helpful, they helped book us an early morning taxi and gave us a takeaway breakfast. Wonderful stay.
• jayne (10/5): Luxury and space in one hotel - Great place to stay. All the staff were excellent and could not do enough to make our stay a very pleasant one. They helped us with the bus schedule and booked a taxi for us early the next morning to the station. Breakfast was delicious and the room was extremely comfortable and a big size. We will return.

• Johannes (10/5): - Sehr freundliches Personal und sehr gutes Frühstück. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und der Ausblick ist toll. Leider gibt es am Weg vom Bahnhof einen aggressiven Hund, der uns verfolgt hat. Das Hotel bietet darum einen Shuttle-Dienst an. Diesen sollte man nutzen!
• Christina (10/5): Bestes und sehr persönliches Hotel beim Taroko Nationalpark - Sehr schönes Hotel nur 10 Minuten vom Taroko Nationalpark entfernt; reichlich gratis Parkplätze; tolles, vielseitiges Frühstück (chinesisch, westlich, Eierspeisen, Cereals, Brot, Yoghurt, Kuchen); gratis Tee und Kaffee während dem Tag. Die Zimmer sind ausgesprochen grosszügig und modern mit Sitzecke; die Sicht war aufs Meer hinaus, man konnte also den Sonnenaufgang bestaunen. Das Badezimmer ist ebenfalls gross und angenehm. Zur Ausstattung gehört auch ein kleiner Kühlschrank, der vom Hotelpersonal immer mit Wasser gefüllt wird. Das Zimmer wird jeweils am Morgen gemacht und zwar ohne, dass man speziell irgendwelchen Anweisungen geben muss (eine Unsitte vieler Hotels ist ja, dass angeblich um Wasser zu sparen, Umwelt etc., die Zimmer nicht mehr unaufgefordert gemacht werden - nicht so hier!). Am besten gefallen hat uns das extrem liebenswürdige und kenntnisreiche Personal, das uns fest umsorgt hat. Man hat uns ausführlich erklärt, was wie im Taroko Nationalparkt zur Zeit möglich ist (nicht ganz einfach...); man hat uns eine Karte mit lokalen Attraktionen geben und gesagt, was sich hier und in Hualien lohnt; man hat uns (weil das Hotelrestaurant geschlossen war) sogar persönlich (!!) zu einem kleinen, ausgezeichneten Restaurant in einer Nebenstrasse hingeführt, damit wir etwas Nettes zu essen kriegen. Kurz - das ist wunderbare Gastfreundschaft. Besser geht nicht. Bonuspunkte gibt es für die rührend und herrlich betreuten Hotelkatzen, die hier wirklich ein Götterleben führen, nach Lust und Laune rein- und rausdürfen und bestes Futter kriegen. Schön! Nichts. Ich kann dieses Hotel von ganzem Herzen empfehlen.

• Tow Ying (10/5): Exceptional stay. - Taroko Liikko Hotel ranks the highest in my list in terms of exceptional excellent customer service from all my years of travelling and staying in hundreds of hotels all over the world. This hotel treats you like you are their house guest and not a customer. Every staff gives her best and goes all out to serve and help you personally. I have great respect for the bosses and indeed felt very honoured to have stayed here and experienced their hospitality.
