• Violeta (9/5): Muy buena relación calidad - precio - Personal muy amable y eficiente. Se quedaron con las maletas antes del checking, llamaron a un taxi para hacer una excursión y todo muy bien. Está a unos 10 minutos de la estación de tren, hay muchos sitios cerca para cenar. Tienen onsen pero si tienes tatuajes no podrás usarlo. Las almohadas eran un poco incómodas. Me hubiera gustado que tuvieran ascensor para bajar las maletas.

• Paula (4/5): Two nights visiting Akan-Mashu national park - This is an old hotel and unfortunately it shows. Futons are thin and really old so the bed was really hard even though we had five of them piled up. Ventilation doesn't probably work correctly or it is unsufficient - we had to keep our window open and onsen roof was wet and molded. The hotel is clean and staff friendly. There is not many restaurant options in the area (many restaurants were closed). Good parking facilities.

• Yuki (6/5): - ホテルの価格は安くてとても良かった。部屋も広めで良い。 しかし！大浴場は薄暗く、古いかんじがして怖い(心霊的な意味で)。風呂に行くまでの廊下も真っ暗なので余計に怖い。ひとりで風呂に入ったので心細かった。 部屋のユニットバスは、生乾きの臭いがした。

• Davide (9/5): Ottimo - Posizione perfetta per visitare le zone limitrofe (lago akan, bihoro pass, lago mashu..) con ampio parcheggio all esterno (coperto per le moto). La struttura é un po' datata ma ha tutti i servizi di cui si ha bisogno, un onsen, la possibilità di fare colazione e cena, macchinette, una sala comune al piano terra con dei giochi, souvenir, lavatrici (no asciugatrici), microonde (per scaldare i piatti che puoi comprare comodamente nei kombini vicini in città). Stanza molto ampia e spaziosa, molto tradizionale. Rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente. Wifi un po' lento nella camera (se andate alla reception Ve ne procurano uno solo per la stanza) e mancanza di aria condizionata (solo ventilatore)

• Janey (6/5): An old hotel... blast from the past! - The tatami beds were set ready for us. The staff also tried to help us with our luggage to the second floor. The hotel felt like a blast from the past.The rooms were dimly lit and the TV was like miniature! The WiFi is super weak tho the staff offered a router. The surroundings of the hotel looked a bit sad and abandoned.

• WAI HAR (10/5): - 这間溫泉酒店雖然舊但是很整潔，員工一貫的有禮，無料停車超贊。開車不到5分鐘的一家燒肉蓋飯很好吃。
• Dejan (10/5): A good base to explore the Mashu and Kussharo Lakes - Probably the largest room we had throughout our trip in Japan. This was a traditional Japanese style room with tatami mats, a low table and floor seating as well as western-style table and chair. It also has a fridge and an electric kettle. Free bicycle rental was amazing and we used their bikes to explore the shores of lake Kussharo. Staff are excellent and speak English very well. The hotel also has a public onsen that is open 24 h (you get a yukata, slippers, and towels in your room), a small souvenir shop, some games etc. Overall may appear a bit outdated, but the level of comfort is high. You can also order breakfast. Walking distance to the JR Mashu Station (about 1 km) with connections to Kushiro. Public transportation here is somewhat limited, but we managed: bus/train to Kawayu Onsen to see Mt. Io, bus to Lake Mashu 1st observatory + hike to Mt. Mashu, then return by hitchhiking, Wakoto Peninsula and Kotan Onsen by bike. Slightly more expensive than our other stays in Japan, but this is a fairly remote location with not many accommodation options. Plus, rooms are really large.

• Ruth (8/5): Relaxing and pleasant stay overall. - Quite a spacious Japanese traditional room, a heater to warm up the room as the weather was quite chilly. The staff were helpful too. An area on the 1st floor to play simple games which turned out to be quite fun as it was raining and we did not explore outside much. The wifi could be stronger in the room. Hotel provided an external router for our room but it did not seem to work.

• あきたか (10/5): - 施設自体は年季が入っていますが、掃除が行き届いており、清潔感は全く問題なく気持ち良く過ごせました。また、アメニティにお茶なども用意してあり、お値段以上のサービスでした。 1つ、予約の際に喫煙部屋になってしまったのは、どこかに記載があったのか、全部屋喫煙部屋なのか分かりませんが、やはり少し臭いがしました。それでも少し経てば慣れるくらいの臭いだったので助かりました。

• Yasuko (6/5): - 全てが昭和感があり古く珍しくはありますが、リーズナブルですし外には飲み屋さんや居酒屋があるので便利。温泉は無色透明タイプですが次の日は肌がツルツルになりました。
• Mioko (8/5): 全体的には満足です。細かい点ではいくつか。 - 全体的には満足しています。レンタサイクルが無料で重宝しました。「大浴場」の更衣室が手狭でいつ行っても混雑していたこと、窓の桟など清掃できていないことが気になりました。また、ホテル自体に直接関係することではないですが、周囲には廃業したホテルや開店しそうにないバーが目立ち、川湯温泉と比べややさびれた雰囲気でした。なお、徒歩5分くらいにコンビニがあるので、必要物資の調達には困りませんでした。
• Yusuke (8/5): 部屋が広くて快適でした。 - 部屋は広くて快適でした。設備は古いのが否めませんが、状態は良くキープしていました。 大浴場はお湯は良かったのですが、洗い場の数が少なくて捌ききれていませんでした。 後から来た若い人たちが、人数分の洗い場の空きが無いと分かると掛け湯だけしてそのまま洗わずに温泉に浸かっていたのには閉口しました。洗ってあって浸かりにきたのかと思ったら、出てから体を石鹸で洗っていたので洗わずに入ったみたいで汚く感じて途中退室しました。 ホテルのせいではないのですが、洗い場が少ないなら入場制限かけるなど対応して欲しいです。

Japanisches Frühstück im Zimmer -top Freies WLAN Leider wird im Hotel geraucht. Hotel wirkt teils nostalgisch, teils einfach alt. Der ganze Ort ist sichtbar in einer wirtschaftlichen Krise.

• Jason (8/5): Cozy and adequate hotel - We arrived at Hotel Masyu with the counter staff saying they did not have our booking so it got me a little worried. Thankfully they accepted my physical Expedia booking confirmation slip I printed before my trip. I wouldn't say Hotel Masyu is old, but it is a little dated. Everything else was still up to my standard - level of cleanliness, hospitality service standard, food quality (I had their breakfast). Room size was a little small for me, but it was definitely sufficient for 2 pax with 2 luggages. You would need to reconfigure the furniture arrangement slightly to lay your luggages. There's no lift in Hotel Masyu, so travellers with mobility challenges need to take note. Their staff did help us to bring our luggages up to our room when we first arrived so that was really helpful.
• Lee (8/5): 經濟實惠的傳統旅館 - 在弟子屈町內，開車相當方便。二樓是房間一樓是餐廳和湯屋，我們住的和室相當大，要睡三個人都沒有問題。第二天是傳統早餐，服務都很周到，價錢也算實惠，如果想要住傳統旅館這間摩周旅館算是不錯的選擇。

• Ee Mian (8/5): - Comfortable stay, bathroom is tiny but you can always go shower at the hot bath in the hotel.
• Carlos (8/5): Basic but nice, spacious, staffed by cool people - Despite the language barrier, the driver was always ready to help shuttle between the rail station and the hotel. The general manager (owner?) is a jack of all trades, a very serious man who speaks English haltingly but who showed great care toward our well-being, logistics, breakfast (we were granted a private dining room and were served Japanese fare, not my first option but very nice anyway). Thank you for all the help.
