• Philip (10/5): - Really enjoyed this stay. Great location to visit plitvice lakes national Park. Short and pretty wall to the park. The room was very nice and out host was very attentive and helpful while we were there. Highly recommend.
• Clara Ching Ngar (10/5): Excellent Adventures - Clear instruction of preferably to get off at Mukinje bus stop so as easily reached Guesthouse Bor was delivered by host well in advance. Warm greeting at door from host plus providing detailed helpful information about the park’s entrance, the various Routes, the supermarket, the restaurant, all at walking distance. Thoughtfully, Host drove us to Entrance 2 with our luggage early next morning which was a big bonus, much appreciated. Which is not always be possible, mate. Ask information desk of the park for key, You can store your luggage there free. Too excited with the above, whereas my hubby left his backpack at back seat and waved goodbye to host. Panic attacks! Rush into Information desk, two ladies helped with immediate calling, urge host to return. They were most kind and helpful. Our gratitude to them. Connected with host and appreciated his non~ stop assistance. Guesthouse Bor is cozy, super clean and match perfectly with the natural ambiance of the lakes area. Would like to be back next time at winter. If Guesthouse host still brave enough of having us. Plitvice Lakes are stunningly beautiful, thoughtful broad walks was designed to preserve the natural landscape and gorgeous waterfall. Visiting only once is never enough. I am sure four times at four different seasons is minimum ~ Thanks Guesthouse Bor And thanks to two beautiful ladies at Plitvice Lake entrance 2 Information desk who gave prompt and professional support. Thankssssss all.
• Pei (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful stay. Host was very helpful and gave some great recommendations for places to visit. Location is walking distance to the Plitvička Lakes Entrance 2, so no need to drive and pay for parking. Very clean and comfortable, well appointed rooms.

• Yongmin (10/5): - We had 3 people. The room was large and clean with 2 large beds. The owner advised how to tour the Plitvice National Park. We followed his advice and left our car at the hotel parking lot and walked to the entrance 2. It was a 25-min beautiful walk through the woods. We toured the upper lakes area first, took a boat, had a lunch and toured the lower lakes area. Although the hotel does not have any restaurant, we went to a very nice restaurant on both nights, just 2 minutes away via car. Overall, it was excellent and I would stay here again.

• Ram (10/5): Great place for a Plitvice visit - Very pleasant accommodation in a walking distance from the national park (and what a great walk it is - in solitude in the forest- much needed to balance the crowd at the park), with the only good restaurant in this side of the park just beside (several good restaurants are located in the other side - about 15-20 min drive), and with the most charming person in Croatia as a host. Truly recommended.

He showed us to our room and then gave us a brief introduction to Plitvice National Park and suggestions on how best to explore it. He was bang on. He then gave us directions to entrance 2 to the park, about a 20 minute walk through the village and along a path through the woods. Overall the property is very well looked after and conveniently located for visiting the park. As a bonus the pizzeria next door has very good pizza.

The place is comfortable and clean. It would be great if one more pillow could be provided as the pillow is a bit too soft for us. Overall, I would definitely recommend the place to you.

• BJP (10/5): Good vibes - Lovely guesthouse abt 20 mins walk to entrance 2 of the Plitvice park. Rooms were simple but nice and clean. Lot of space around the property with deer spotted from the terrace in the morning. Friendly and helpful owner. There is a restaurant next door, though for breakfast bring your own - there is a supermarket in the little hamlet Mukinje but opening hours are limited. We felt relaxed at the place and the surroundings are pretty. There is also a little playground 5mins walk up the hill.

He gave us good information and was helpful and friendly. The rooms are modern with everything you need.Outside the room os a small fridge. Nice pizzas at restaurant next door and a supermarket 5 minutes walk away. I can highly recommend staying here.
• Scott (10/5): - The Guesthouse Bor is an excellent property within walking distance of Plitvice Lakes entry #2. (Make sure you get tickets for #2). The host was very helpful and had nice touches such as umbrellas to take into the park (should have grabbed them). Right next door is a Bistro with great pizzas and calzones for cheap. I would definitely stay here again.

The host is so friendly and gives a run down for Plitvice Lakes park on a large map in the entry. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the furniture and ambiance. We only stayed one night but the area is peaceful. A restaurant next door and a store a short walk away. Highly recommend.

• Nicolas (10/5): - This is a great place to stay with or without a car. It is a short walk from the Mukinje bus stop if you are taking a bus into town. The rooms are very modern and stylish. The host was very helpful and gave us an explanation of a good way to see the lakes in a single day. Since we did not have a car he even gave us a ride to the park entrance where we could check our luggage and catch the bus out of town from the park entrance instead of having to come back to the hotel to get our luggage. There is also a restaurant next door so you don't need to go far for food.

The owner and his son were very welcoming and we got some great tips for visiting the park. The guesthouse is located right next door to a restaurant and only a 15 minute walk to the park entrance. It’s a perfect place to stay to visit the park.

Our room was very comfortable, and was right next to the village restaurant which was very convenient for dinner and an early breakfast the next morning. The lakes are a short walk or an even shorter drive away. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and told us everything we needed to know to visit the lakes.

Met by Nep who showed us our room and provided us with his suggestions for viewing the lakes while experiencing panoramic hikes. It is 5 minutes walk to the bus stop and there is a very reasonably priced restaurant next door. The owner is very freindly and extremely helpful with tips and information about the lakes. The guesthouse is very modern, very clean and comfortable.

Our host Neboisha went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, and he even picked us up and took us back to the bus stop. There is a pizza restaurant next door and a small market a short walk up the hill. The room was comfortable, and it was a great stay overall!

To improve, they should offer complementary ride to the park (I paid 70 Kuna for the taxi when I got back from the park). Also, they didn't help me with my luggage when I left (I had heavy luggage and they have narrow stairs).

It's an easy 15-20 min walk to the national park and you walk right by a market on your way. There is also a restaurant right across the street for breakfast or even a late dinner. The hosts were extremely helpful and a lovely to learn about Croatia from. Thank you!

It's within a short walk to entrance 2 and right next door is a pizzeria with great pizza (cheapest food and drinks we had in the 2 weeks in Croatia). The owner of the guesthouse was extremely helpful with tips on how to explore the national park as well as the best way to drive to our next destination. The only thing that was missing and would have been good to have, was a fridge in the room for keeping goods cold for the long walks in the national park.
• Megry01 (8/5): Cosy hotel near the lakes - we were greeted on arrival by our host, who took the time to make us feel welcome and show us the most direct route to walk to the lakes and market nearby. our room was very clean, with a comfortable bed and great shower. only problem we had were our thin pillows (typical hotel issue) and the other people in the hotel were quite loud closing doors/using stairs. the house is quite creaky - which did wake us in the morning. there is one local restaurant in the area so there is not a lot of choice for places to eat. lakes are a short 10 minute walk from the hotel. overall it is a handy location for the lakes with great hosts!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel next to park - Comfortable, charming hotel within 5 minutes drive of the national park. Owner was waiting for us, helped carry our luggage, and was very helpful in planning our hiking trip through the park. Room was clean and had a nice bathroom. There is also an OK restaurant just 1 minute away by foot for those who dont want to drive to the other (nicer) restaurants down ghe road. Overall very happy with this hotel.
• Geoff (8/5): Ideal for the Lakes - Guest house chosen because of previous reviews and its location relative to the Lakes. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and the bathroom had a really good shower. There is a communal fridge which was useful for temporary storage. Access to Gate 2 for the Lakes is an easy walk through the wood but is in my opinion slightly longer than the 15 mins quoted in other reviews. Also using this route you pass a village store from which you can purchase breakfast things enabling you to eat on route and arrive at the entrance early. We ate at the bistro next door on our first night and had a very nice pizza. On our second night the owner of the guest house recommended an alternative eating place. Allowing for waiting for transport within the park the overall experience (which is magical) can take a good 5 hours or more; that is why accommodation near the park is better than a day trip which will add several hours.

• Heath (8/5): - Near to bus stop Mukinje (we came without car), next door to a small restaurant, near a market, 10 min? walk to the national park. Good, simple room for two. Common refrigerator downstairs. Picnic table outside. No air conditioning - was very hot for June. Would stay there again.
• Dawn (10/5): Awesome location and comfortable accommodations - This guesthouse is just a short drive from the park. Our room was comfortable, clean and the owner and his daughter were great hosts. Right next door is a bistro with good food at an affordable price. I would recommend Bor.
• liz (10/5): Wonderful stay next to Plitvice entrance - Guesthouse Bor is the perfect place to stay while visiting Plitvice National Park. Clean comfortable rooms with friendly and knowledgeable owner. You can't stay any closer to the entrance to the park. Hike the lakes and waterfalls and enjoy a good bed and spacious bathroom at Guesthouse Bor.
• Christine (10/5): Highly recommended GH near Plitvice Lakes NP - Fabulous place to stay near Plitvice. We were in beautifully decorated attic room, wifi fast and reliable, bathroom modern. Bistro next door-pizza, burgers, breakfast. Owner responded quickly when emailed re arrival time & was very welcoming Only negative is no wardrobe but with a short stay, this wouldn't be an issue
• Tilly, 21 (10/5): best bed ever!!! Great host! Perfect location - The bed was so comfortable which is exactly what you need after walking all day! We stayed here for two nights whilst exploring plitvice, it look us about 15 minutes to walk to plitvice entrance 2 but the walk there is beautiful! The host is so helpful and speaks excellent English and the guesthouse is Right next to a pizzeria!!!

• johannes (6/5): Ok. - Over priced at $90 for a triple room for 1 night. Lovely owner. Basic but very clean and working facilities.. About 35 mins walk through the woods to get to Entrance 2 which is the best starting point for Plitvice lakes.

• Martin (8/5): Nice Hostal very close to the Park - Nice location. At only 10/15 min walking of entrance number 2 to Pitlivice National Park. The rooms and facilities are brand new and really good quality. Very clean and excellent bed. Probably because its new, the room was lacking of some useful things, such as a kettle for making a tea, shampoos or maps of the are.
• john (10/5): Plitvice Lakes. - From our hotel it was about a 15 minute walk to the bus, boat and ticket sellers. We did the boat first then a walk through the Plitvice Lakes area and bus back to the start point. The lakes and water falls are on the World Heritage list and we definitely understand why. The water falls and water courses are fantastic. It is definitely a bucket list trip.
