• Sonia (6/5): - Avoir 3 lits dans la chambre, parfait pour 2 adultes et 2 adolescents. Chacun son lit. Chiens acceptés aussi, merci. Le parking pas déneigé ni déglacé. Difficilement praticable et dangereux. Les draps des lits remplis de cheveux (!!!!) et la salle de bains pas très propre.
• Oceanna (10/5): Great place to lay your head for the night! - Great location, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The only thing I would change is that the bathroom was very cold and we had to put a towel on the floor so our feet didn't freeze. Overall - highly recommend staying!

• Robert (8/5): - Location. Comfortable bed. Fridge, microwave and hot water pot . Smoke. There is a area that allows smokers very close to the rooms. Noticed guests smoking in door entrances and cigarette buts left on ground outside of the rooms. The guests next to my room constantly smoked and when I turned on the bathroom fan... it brought the stink into my room. While I was there I no longer used the fan ! This hotel is best suited to trade workers ie, oil and gas and other trades. This hotel is not for children.

• Barry (8/5): We enjoyed our stay which was very affordable at The Chinook. - It is clean and comfortable. It was very good for the price. The property allows a pet for a small fee. There are nice walking traiils right beside the property. Not the hotels fault but one of the houses behind has/had old mattresses against the house's fence in the lane. It was just a bit unsightly but didn't impact our overall stay.

• Garry (9/5): Great value, simple and clean decor, and friendly staff. - The Chinook Inn is close to a walking trail that I used to walk downtown to a restaurant. The inn was a great place to rest on my way up to Jasper National Park.

• Carrie Anne (3/5): It made me think I never wanted to use an online pay in advance booking site again. - The gentleman attending the desk while I was there was very pleasant. The bed/bedding was clean and comfortable. I was given a room in the original building. It's a very old building which isn't a problem but the smell coming up from the bathroom drain pipes was pretty awful. It wasn't sewage it's just the age of the plumbing. Also the room, while clean, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. It is embedded in the walls, curtain fabric and fixtures and no amount of cleaning will get rid of it, unfortunately. Hallways also had strong stale cigarette smoke smell and carpet was very very stained. If you're a smoker or not put off by smells and run down motels it could be passable. Otherwise I actually think it should be closed down. It's also in a neighborhood that I felt the need to lock the window at night. I wish I hadn't stayed here.

• Rick (8/5): great place for the price. we will be back next year! - front desk staff were very accommodating . we stopped in at 09:30 on the way to a cowboy gathering knowing that we would not be back until 23:00. we were given a key and shown the room (not ready yet). when we returned late the night everything was clean and comfortable. we stayed two nights. I really appreciated good, strong wifi and plenty of electrical outlets available. front stairs are a little steep and parking can be limited when you arrive late at night.

I stayed one night after a long week trail riding I was not allowed to use the wifi. I had no kettle or tea. Im not a coffee drinker. Bed sheets were yellowish, so I slept on the top cover.

Well, if you enjoy the soothing sounds of 18-wheelers thundering past your window at 11p.m. thanks to a prime highway-adjacent location, you'll love it here. The fridge doubles as modern art since it's purely decorative. The bathroom lighting creates such a romantic, cave-like ambiance that you'll need a flashlight to see if you're actually brushing your teeth. The room door comes with a complimentary finger-sized gap for that authentic outdoor camping experience,but who needs proper insulation anyway, right? Anyway, for the bargain economy price, what more could you possibly expect? More than enough for rest of one night.

• Margaret (5/5): Confirm your room will be in the newer 2-story building. - We called the property to confirm we were traveling with a 50lb dog and that being next to a walking/bike path to the community off leash park was ideal. The room had a double bed, NOT a queen bed, despite also confirming a queen on the phone. The room was a kitchenette with way too much furniture for the space. The room was clean but bathroom renos were incomplete or poorly done. Paint isn’t a tough job. As a motorcyclist, I don’t mind private properties with older interiors. On this trip, the room we were given, traveling by car with our pooch, would’ve rated 1.5*. The plumbing worked but the room was not as advertised. Rooms in the newer 2-story building might be fine. Double bed - not a queen bed. Pillows were old and lumpy. Bathroom renovations were incomplete. Way too much old furniture crammed into space. Electrical outlets weren’t accessible for a CPAP machine.

• Maynard (7/5): You get what you pay for - The motel is on the outskirts of town and would be a quiet place to stay. There is a lot or road construction going on and workers were staying at the motel but it was still pretty quiet. When i booked the room it did not say where it was located. Our room was in the main building and we had to climb a number of stairs to get there. The railings on the stairs were very loose and wobbly. In the room, the coffee carafe did not match the coffee maker. You had to lift the carafe and hold it up to let the coffee drip from the basket into the carafe.

We arrived very late at night - I had called ahead to let them know about what time we would arrive, as it was after the normal front desk hours. He was very kind and waited for our group to arrive. Check in was very quick. Rooms where nice and big, and very clean. The bed was very comfortable, especially after our long travel day. The shower was wonderful! It's so nice to have a hotel shower head with good pressure. Would definitely stay here again. No breakfast, but there is a Timmies and McD's right down the road.

I would have like to have a little more of a kitchen because our longer stay but of all the hotels I have stayed at in Rocky this is by far my favorite.

I later found out that it was because they booked work group in and bumped the prepaid customers to other rooms.

• lee (3/5): Not a safe place. Staff couldn't care less - The walkway was rotten so felt like you could fall through the floor. One of our group arranged a ground floor room ahead of time but it was given away when we arrived. Our friend requiring knee surgery had to climb the stairs! The sheets were stained, pillows were flat and the shower wall was wrecked and molding.Our A/C worked, that's about it though.
