Average breakfast was included. Dismal check-in. Waiting calling and phoning 3 different numbers 4 times each and ringing the bell at least 6 times before a lone woman appeared 35 minutes later to check us in. She says she was alone on the property and in the laundry room. But the property is graded 4 star, go figure that out ? Room had not been aired and was musty, fridge was not on and no guest water in fridge and no ice tray or any ice available, until the third time I asked and ice magically appeared Coffee tasted like Ricoffy and only powdered milk Toilet seat broken My partener had a cold shower the evening Curtain hanging off its rail Safe with no key to access Plastic stoep furniture with dirty ashtray Very dark room and poor lighting Groundsman took his tea break on his phone watching a soccer match on full volume at the guest area by the pool Braai and fire pit never been cleaned and broken glass and weeds on the paving by the pool One of the Angolan guests had his radio on full blast from the early hours of the morning until he left just after 6am THIS IS JUST NOT 4 STAR ! We moved to a 3 star up the road and received more than 4 star welcome and stay, even though we lost 2 nights paid accommodation at AARK Guest Lodge

Our waitress sis Lucas - eversmilling very best customer service and sis Alleta, the rooms were cozy and clean, the atmosphere was relaxing. The location was also perfect. Highly recommend for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway! Looking forward to coming back again soon! I liked everything

- Emmah (8/5): great place just a little improvement from interior and the kitchen - The atmosphere and tranquility out site and location. The place is beautiful. the inside is outdated and old school. our room especially the bathroom was not soo clean you could see spider web from the wall separating the bathroom and the bedroom. They could have closed the bathroom completely especially for a big room like that. Fridge is very small for a four people bedroom. Variety in the food section could be the best. I don't eat eggs and i did not have variety of food to choose from. Same yogurt for two days, same breakfast for two days.

- GF (8/5): Awesomeness - Enjoyable stay in a neat and tidy room. The staff are friendly and helpful. Attending to your every need. The home cooked meals smells divine and next time I will make sure that I book a meal. The garden is so beautiful and the bonsai trees are a very attractive feature.
