Guest Reviews
- Christian (9/5): -
- Jan (10/5): -

- Coreen (8/5): - Very quick response from the host! Lovely environment with only noise coming from insects and animals!
- Pieter (10/5): -
- Van (8/5): Very good - This place has a wonderful view half of which borders the Ado, with some wildlife on the premises as well. The facilities are great for a relaxing bush experience. The gas fridge and stove took some time in getting set up, with limited freezer space. There's also only 12v lighting which runs out quickly so you'll need to bring your own backup lighting/charging equipment. It was a tad pricey as well.
- Kate (8/5): Properly off the beaten track! - The beds were very comfortable and the views were amazing and we even saw giraffes and zebra from our balcony. The lodge itself was unique and a lovely place to stay The access road was 4km of poorly maintained dirt track so will not be suitable for some cars. This was not on any of the information about the property nor was the fact that it didn’t have any power sockets. Not a problem as you can charge at the main house but again it should have been pointed out in the property details.
- Althea (7/5): Good - Beautiful Nature. Hosts are laid back and happily accommodated our dog for which we were grateful. Access Road to farm is very rough. Directions regarding where to turn off the main road were inaccurate although there was an attempt to clarify the signage on the morning of our arrival, but I ran out of data so couldn't receive the message. No drinking water provided and not warned to bring our own. Monkeys had disturbed the bedroom before our arrival.
- Barbara (8/5): Good value - n/a The road
- Tom (8/5): Wilderness adventures, lovely hosts and amazing food. Great base for familys exploring the area. - Loved the wilderness experience, animals all around us, family meal, conversation, freedom to walk around the property at will.
Bed was comfortable and food was lovely. Road needs improvement or notice on booking stating 4wd or high ground clearance requirement. It was just possible with our corolla, however risk and likelihood of damage was high.
Improvements in the lighting in the accommodations would be great,
And also perhaps a usb powerbank/lamp for each accomodation.
- Mohcine (9/5): Wish we could stay longer - The tranquility and silence of the location were deeply appreciated. Olaf and his family were incredibly friendly and always available for any questions. The animals on the premises added a delightful touch, especially for my youngest daughter who adored the cats and dogs. Besides the pets, there was a variety of livestock and even wild animals - spotting giraffes was a highlight!
The breakfast was a delight, prepared exclusively with fresh farm products such as cheese and milk, and even the bread was freshly baked. This attention to detail and quality truly enhanced our overall experience.
Staying there was a wonderful experience, thoroughly enjoyable. However, guests should be mindful that being in nature comes with its quirks, like spiders and such. No mosquitoes though!
- Me (9/5): Superb - The whole family is super nice and we had dinner together on the very first evening. We had interesting conversations about the country and its people with Olaf about photography. Marie gave me lots of interesting insights into the keeping and breeding of her animals.
All in all, it was a very nice stay!
- Bryn (8/5): Enjoyable and unique. - Location was amazing! Only problem was the shower had no hot water.
- Ivanhoe (7/5): Good - Olaf and family. We got there on a very hot day to be told tap water was not potable and no ESKOM, gas fridge needs 2 days to cool and solar panel had a problem. Charming Olaf sorted all out on Thursday and we had a brilliant stay. I am not s good walker so Olaf upgraded us at no extra cost, bloody marvellouS. Highly recommend. On last night we watched for 2 hours 4 lions trying to get an elephant calf. Did not succeed as 1 very large elephant chased the male at speed away when he drew close. EXCELLENT
- Jannik (9/5): Superb -
- Ziona (8/5): be sure u get the right instructions to get there and than u will get great place - the surrounds. quite and nature all around
very beautiful it was beautiful but it was hard to get there around 4 km in dirt road. any car can make it but nobody advised us. the place and its name is not as advertised. a lot of confusion. but it was worth it
