Guest Reviews
- Donna (4/5): No place for me - Lady was hard to understand, was very cold cause the gas furnace was in the wall next to the bed. Didn’t heat the room well and was scary being so close to the bed. Tub was slippery no grab handles. I will never stay there again unless last place available as was this tim building is old in need in repair. Big crack under the door. Overpriced.
- Frank (2/5): - Needs an update!
- Cynthia (8/5): Good for the price - These people were very nice. I would probably stay here again.
- adam (10/5): Great spot to stay - It was great! I was broken down and despite the horrible circumstances The owner made every effort to ensure a great comfortable stay. Clean rooms, clean sheets and blankets, no bed bugs, hot showers and even hotter old school room heater.
- Nicole (2/5): - The owner was very rude also was non stop bugging us, was constantly knocking on our door being very rude to my husband yelling at him along with watching our room out her window . The owner told my sister that she wasn't allowed to visit me while i was renting a room at her motel room.
I do recommend this motel to anyone that has family or friends that like to visit each other.
- Geoffrey (10/5): - I had the easiest check in and out of any hotel on my trip
- Valerie (10/5): It as comfortable - I was comfortable the room was clean and it was quite . almost considered staying for a few more day .
- Dennis (2/5): - Terrible parking area. Highway noises all night. Table wobbled and shower would not adjust temperatures and no water pressure. Cable ran up beside door. No tissues or any extras.will not stay again.
- Gerald (2/5): Height of Disaster - No got water in shower; warm to tepid. Linen wasn't clean; neither was the blanket. Heater was difficult to figure out and the cold air was on. Miniature soap about 1/4 of standards size hotel soap. Sink counter build for kids not adults. No hangers, iron, blow dryer or ironing board.
The dresser and the table was very old at least 40 years old and worn. Sounded as if we were sleeping with s herd of cattle in the room above us. The hotel was so close to the road that everytime a semi passed, the room shook.
Had to ring a bell to register, to try to get a blow dryer for my wife's hair, and to check out. The man was sketchy, unfriendly, and most unaccommodating.
- Allison (2/5): Never stay at this motel. Ever - Place advertised uhaul and rig parking. Says so on their sign. There is none. Place is horrendous. Bullet holes and bodily fluids in room. Not kidding. Avoid this place at all costs.
- Zach (2/5): Open for business? Or…. - I wish I could speak to my stay. But after waiting at the window, calling the hotel, calling the managers phone number that was posted and then calling hotels.com I decided to just keep driving towards my destination… and slept on the side of the road. Very unfortunate experience and will never settle for anything less than a quality option in the future. - on a side note, the patch of road I slept beside was beautiful in the morning 🙄
- Juan M (10/5): - Clean and comfortable, bath towels were amazing.
- Clem (4/5): - Unfriendly, almost hostile attitude; a/c all but nonexistent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The proprietors were friendly and helpful. We rnjoyed our privacy and there were no unpleasant interactions anytime. The staff were very professional and warm.
- Drew (6/5): Good stay - Overall it was good. Again more lil travel soap and shampoo would have been great..
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I contacted the owner as soon as I checked in on how filthy it was. I have photos of the filthy bad, room, carpet, fridge and all in the room. Sheets weren't changed, towels filthy and he would not return my money. I was livid. I warn all do NOT STAY HERE. Hated it.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It wasn’t that clean and smoky. Suppose to be none smoking.
- Michael (2/5): fraudulent - Do not use this hotel. They are fraudulent and will still your money but say they only charged you once. If you do use them check you bank account to make sure they don’t steal from you.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Supply Bare minimum amenities. Though price is low, should have a bit more supply.
- denise&brian. (8/5): - VERY WELL KEPT----CLEAN FAMILY MOTEL----PLEASANT.
THANK YOU.
- stephen (8/5): Reasonable choice.. - Reasonably clean, good TV and internet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very good and the price is cheapest around!! Good experience.
- Ray (8/5): What I expected - It's an older hotel. It's about what I expected.
Owner operated
- RobertCanon (2/5): - I had a confirmed Expedia reservation. I called the owner several hours ahead to confirm our arrival. But on our ~11:00 PM arrival, he had given our reserved room away. It took me, wife, and our 10-yr old son over an hour to find another room. Not happy. Very displeased.
Given that I had reserved the room through Expedia, it doesn't make you look good either.
- KELLY (10/5): Just What We Needed - The Ecomony Inn located on Route 66 in Kingman AZ was our choice to stay the first 2 nights in AZ. We had to come to the area because of some business Re: some land we own in Golden Valley. After staying the 2 nites we decided to stay for another week. The motel is fine and comfortable. Its not the Grand Plaza Hotel in NYC but neither is Kingman AZ NY NY...The bed was very comfortable, the room has a flat screen TV, a small Fridge, a Microwave, a coffee maker, a Desk n Chair, a table and 2 comfortable chairs, a shower with HOTT water and really good pressure and the noise from Route 66 isn't nearly as bad as the few people who complained about it made it out to be. Hell do people want for under $50. When everything is taken into consideration, like there aren't any 4 or 5 star Resort Hotels in the area, this turns out to be the best place to stay according to the few Uber drivers we spoke with and our personal experience confirms.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The road noise was very loud and the bathtub was not clean. We only got one towel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I checked in late around 12 midnight but my room was ready and check in process was super fast
- Val (8/5): You'll get what they described to you. - Everything was clean & comfortable. It is older but maintained. It's better than expected for the low rate we paid!
- timmie (2/5): - i didnt stay they wouldnt let me reschedule
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful view of the mountains and surrounding areas.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A nice place, clean and affordable, nice people in the office
- Kymberli (6/5): Not the best choice - Difficult to get to, and parking is a joke. Lots of outside noise; traffic, trains, etc. An issue for me was the discourtesy of the check-in person. Very limited English, which is not a problem, but she demanded everything except my first born to allow me in. Very rude. Small room with just enough space for a bed, and not particularly kept up. Could have been worse, but not recommended.
- Gavin (10/5): Cheap and cheerful - There nothing to do in town but it’s still a cheap place to sleep while your on the road.
- Judy (4/5): - We were very disappointed with this motel. It was located on a highway. We were supposed to spend 2 nights. We cancelled the second night immediately.
- Amanda (6/5): Okay - It was about what I would expect for the price. Limted parking right off a main road. Ahower head very low. If street sounds don’t bother you and you’re short, you’ll be fine.
- s (8/5): - Close to Freeway, Easy to find. Good value. Room was small but adequate for price
- Al (6/5): - Rooms smell like mildew not that clean old wall air units
- Al (8/5): - Noisey AC unit, old hotel but clean and perfect for my needs. Great staff.
- Brenda (8/5): - Older motel, good price, friendly check-in
- Frazer (6/5): - Was a good stop over spot on our travel from AZ to NV. Just need a room for the night so was very easy. If your a fussy person I wouldn't recommend this place to you.
- Dmitriy (10/5): Good place for the price - If you need cheap place to stay overnight, this is good choice
- Bret (6/5): Old motel on busy US 93 - Check-in was quick. The motel is an old one, with a very loud a/c unit. It was clean and well-maintained, but the ice machine did not work (one needs ice for thermos bottles in the desert!).
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff were friendly and helpful. The refrigerator in the room was a nice touch. The carpet was stained, which was a bit unnerving.
- Gloria (8/5): ok fora spot to rest after a long drive - Room was tiny. It was clean. our tv didn't work. someone came and fixed it immediately. there is nothing near the motel. we had to drive to the nearest fast food place about a mile.
- Verified traveler (2/5): No Maintenance - Horrible screeching fan, TV not working. Since I arrive late, too tired to complain.
- Terry (8/5): Neat and well-run; good value - A neat, clean, well-run older property that offers very good value and is perfectly fine for a stopover.
- William T (4/5): Not satisfied. - This motel is the pits. Smelly, roaches and the traffic noise was almost unbearable. Very disappointed.
- Sonny (10/5): Clean, comfortable rooms! - Best value for the price.....very comfortable bed, and the best shower I have ever had in a motel....
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great for the price - Very friendly staff and did everything to make your stay comfortable and problem free, good location,
- Murray (2/5): ROACHES, RUNDOWN, ROAD NOISE!!! - If you want a Noisy, Ghetto room with bugs; this is your place to stay!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! Cockroaches. Only 25’ from Hwy 93, and filthy. A $45.00 mistake. Nuff said? Left after finding roaches in my bed. EEWWW!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Old place - Kinda got stuck here for the money I would stay in Laughlin...
- Susan M (10/5): Nice, clean, simple - but perectly fine. - We were just staying for the night on a long driving trip and wanted something low cost. We got the ground floor room we asked for, everything was clean and worked fine. I'd definitely stay there again. They could use an electrical outlet near / in the bathroom for those of us who shave with an electric razor, but I unplugged the microwave and stood by the mirror in the main room. There was plenty of electric access near the bed and table to recharge phones though.
- Kimberly (8/5): - The service was good and the location was convenient. I did not expect this hotel to be fabulous because I was on a very tight budget but it met my needs and felt is was worth what I paid. I would stay there again if money was tight on another trip
- Janet (4/5): - Location is too near traffic.
Building is run down.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again - Room stunk of chemicals, water stunk too. Took a shower and I was dirtier when I was done from the stinking un-treated water. Horrible. Small room, didn’t expect a lot from $40.00, but this was very poor.
- Fred (2/5): Horrible motel in Kingman, AZ - Very dirty rooms which smelled and not comfortable beds, and of course BUGS everywhere. Hotels.com should really NOT have this place on its website. My experience was horrible... it's just cheap.
- Joel (8/5): Needs a little TLC. - Just passing through. The first room the sheets looked dirty. They gave us another room. I understand it's a mom and pop motel, but take one room at a time and do the repairs. Paint clean or replace the carpet. Make it like it is your own.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Inexpensive, convenient & clean - Convenient & inexpensive. It's an old roadside Motel on the main Hwy into Downtown Kingman but it's all we needed as we were just passing through to Hoover Dam the next morning early. It was clean & the Queen bed was comfortable.
If you like Micro Breweries, check out Rickety Cricket Brewing in Historic Downtown Kingman. It just opened 2 months ago, great industrial decor with working brewery and delicious local craft brews and an awesome pub menu, a highlight of our stop in Kingman!
- KK2 (8/5): In Route - Motel was in my route to another area, it was right there, easy find, easy parking, easy check in, desk clerk very helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just no - Dirty room with linens to match... just gross all the way around....
- Jeffrey (8/5): Basic - Okay for the price - The hotel room was pretty small to fit the two queen beds. However, it was clean and contained all the basic necessities. It was right off a busy road that was pretty noisy all night - but that's what you get when you're off Route 66. Wifi worked okay. Pretty basic but okay for the price.
- Shawna (8/5): Cheap but worth it! - Considering the cheap price the room was good. A clean place to rest a night on the road.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good value but not for a long stay - Room was clean and secure. However , being stituated close to a main hwy... it was noisy at times.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very nice crew, a bit secluded - Our stay at the economy inn was very pleasent. The crew was very attentive and accommodating and even though the room wasn't in perfecr condition, it had all the basics including a microwave, fridge and king size bed.
I truly recommend supporting this kind of small family business.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice place to stay - It was a very nice and clean hotel. We will stay again. It's older place but we liked that. Friendly people and clean. Very reasonable price.
- Florin (6/5): - If you're just looking for a bed and a shower, the Economy Motel is ok. It's old, but it was clean. The place is like twenty feet from the highway, so there's always traffic noise and parking is tight if you're in a pickup truck or bigger SUV. If it were any closer to the edge of Kingman, you would be out of town.Probably won't stay there again.
- Sunil (8/5): - It was good hotel with clean room and good service. Front desk was cooperative, Overall pleasant experience with good price.
- Frank (10/5): Friendly family managers - Older, small room but very clean with good A/C ,fast internet, microwave, cable TV and frig. The family managing the motel were very friendly and helpful. Good.value. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Quick sleepover before Vegas! - It is what it is. It's an older motel I'm sure mainly for truckers to get some shut eye for a few hours. I wasn't expecting anything else. It served it's purpose.
- Brian S (8/5): Grand canyon - Dirt cheap and micro wave and fridge were a big plus. A/c was great much better than the expensive resorts in las vegas.
- Lady Debon (6/5): - The towel selection was poor. Small n not true body towels. The chairs had stains on them The bathroom sink had water leaking out of both handles when turned on. No coffee maker in the room.
- Steven (8/5): Discount motel in Kingman - Older discount motel. Hot water in the shower, clean sheets, and relatively comfortable bed. microwave and fridge. No coffee maker in rooom. All in all ok for the price.
- Al (6/5): You get what you pay for and nothing more - This is a budget motel. Do not expect any niceties. The room is small but clean. The bathroom sink drained slowly. The internet ran slowly but it did run. Soap and shampoo are provided but only if you go to the office and ask. If you are traveling on I40 the motel is close to that. The motel sits on a busy street and the rooms are Cole to the street. Traffic noise is high at all hours.
- Bonnie (8/5): - Just needed to rest this is what I got no hassle, no frills thank you
- Verified traveler (6/5): Most inexpensive option - We booked this because it was the most inexpensive option around, by far.
