I liked that I could control the temperature of the room. I am thankful that the room was close to the elevator. The ladies who checked me (and a couple) in were nice and friendly. They were professional and kind. Thank you for the coffee in the morning! I expected the rooms to be straightened and given clean towels everyday. I was surprised to see that there was no breakfast provided--I must have mistaken what I read online and thought that breakfast would be provided.

K1827LQsueh (2/5): Terrible customer service - I have traveled often during my 70+ years of existence and this is my first review. I felt compelled to write it because this was by far the worst experience at a hotel I’ve ever had. My husband and I were traveling with our two young grandchildren, and our flight arrived 9 hours late, at about 6:30 a.m. We headed straight to the hotel, figuring we’d have time to shower and rest before traveling on. We were “greeted” by an extremely grumpy front desk woman who informed us that we couldn’t check in because 4 a.m. is the cut-off for doing so. When I responded, “But we paid for the room,” the woman got annoyed and stormed out into a neighboring room, refusing to talk to me further. To add insult to injury, we returned to the same hotel three days later, this time with our daughter and our third grandchild (having made the reservations months before), and we were initially given rooms that had not been serviced. Further, the hotel advertises shuttle service in its list of amenities on its website, but when my daughter called for a shuttle from the airport, she was told that none was available. (I have since seen that the hotel’s website does state further down that the shuttle may or may not be available, but it seems a bit deceptive to list it up front as an amenity and require people to scroll down and read all the fine print to find out that there is a caveat.) After returning home, I called the hotel manager regarding the grumpy woman we encountered during our first visit, and didn’t get much satisfaction. Before even apologizing, she asked “And what do you want me to do about it?” I responded that if it were my employee, I’d fire her. She said she’d use the encounter as a teaching moment, and eventually gave what sounded like an insincere apologize. The hotel is well-situated and has some nice amenities, but its customer service is the worst I've ever experienced.

While they have a microwave, stovetop and a refrigerator, they don’t have anything to cook with! No utensils, no pots or pans…nothing! When I asked the front desk if there were items I could “borrow”, I was told there was not but I could purchase some items from their shop. The main reason I stayed here and not somewhere else was because of the “full kitchen”. I feel fooled.

Good location for a few nights and close enough to the airport. Beds were ok; bathroom tub/shower had good water pressure. Free coffee at front desk was good. Our room had a kitchen and large refrigerator which was nice, but no cutlery. They had plastic forks and spoons and paper plates at the front desk. We did not attempt to cook anything, nothing convenient there, no pots or pans.

Michelle (10/5): - This is a newer brand hotel, which we tried due to its proximity to the airport. As it turned out, it was a great budget hotel. No fee for parking, easy access to the airport, quiet - but there were a few bugs. The check-in system crashed while we were checking in. They already had our keys, so no problem, but they asked us to come back to run our cc for "incidentals." This sort of run kind of drives me crazy, but I was nice - just said we wouldn't have any. Still they said they may call me to run the card, just in case. As it happened, we were in and out before that was needed. Since they only have door-dash-type services, I'm not sure what kind of incidentals might have been needed, but anyway - Rooms are spacious and clean, lots of electrical outlets (something I'm finding more and more important to check), and a whole regular pot for coffee (yay!). There's a small kitchenette but no dishes, so bring paper plates and utensils. We would definitely stay here again.

Its extremely overpriced due to the fact they don’t have nice beds. Whats the point in paying $455 for one night just to have to sleep on the floor? Makes me feel like a true American to get ripped off and and then have to sleep on old hotel carpet on the floor. Worst hotel stay ever. To be honest id rather navigate the sex workers roaming the hallways at Motel6, atleast their beds aren’t so broken…stained yes but not broken.

We verified our next reservation on 8/14/25 before we left the hotel. 3 hours before we arrived on the14th, we get a call saying we lost our room because of overbooking. They most likely gave our room to someone who would pay more because Trump was there. A few years ago they did the same thing to my wife when she went to Kalispel, MT for her radiation treatment. WE WILL NEVER STAY AT MY PLACE EVER AGAIN.

Ha bisogno sicuramente di un rimodernamento e di migliorare l'offerta della colazione a pagamento perché è pessima. La posizione è scomoda ma è il prezzo che si paga per risparmiare dagli alti prezzi che si raggiungono in centro. La nota dolente sono i pagamenti... Nonostante avessimo già pagato l'alloggio ci hanno di nuovo addebitato (per sbaglio dicono) il costo e ci hanno messo parecchio a farci il rimborso e dopo diverse telefonate di sollecito.

Chose not to get out of the car due to the congregation around the door of trying to get a motorcycle out of the building and was not happy with the fact that drugs were being passed back-and-forth in the parking lot.

H3774UKdianeb (4/5): Charged approximatly $250 more than needed to. - We were unable to book one of last two rooms available at 1 AM because we weren't hearing impaired and were told we couldn't book at that price. We paid $681.31 and when we arrived we were placed in a hearing impaired room. Quite unhappy about having to pay about $250 more a night for a rest of 3 hours. The pillows were quite thick to sleep comfortably.

Shane (10/5): Great place to stay in Anchorage! - We stayed in this establishment three separate times in our 17 day vacation in Alaska. Each of the times we loved our stay. The desk clerks, Maggie and Maddie’s were extremely helpful. Especially dealing with a non-functioning shower and noisy-rude neighbors. The rooms here are better equipped than all of the other hotels that we’ve stayed in on our trip…even those that were WAY more expensive! The location is extremely convenient for many day trips from Anchorage as well as short distances to much shopping and really nice restaurants.
Ronald (9/5): I have a new hotel in my repertoire - everything was clean. Coffee was weak, no flavor. Shuttle driver was excellent. Shuttle van was clean, other hotel shuttle vans are filthy. Fridge with ice maker very nice new girl at front desk didnt know how to extend out stay. 1st night booked thru 3 rd party, 2nd night at the front desk. Also, travel sites were less than front desk rates.

Rodrigo (1/5): No hot water, no rooms ready for check in. Lots of homeless. - The room is comfortable, good size. Had to change rooms twice during check in. 1st time they gave me a room that was not clean, bed undone, trash waiting to pick up. Second time AC was loud and not working properly. There is barely hot water. Just a little warmer than the cold water. Laundry machines only accept quarters and there is no ATM in the hotel, had to waste 30min of my time to look for cash. There are lots of homeless nearby and no security in the parking lot. The windows don't have proper black out curtains and during the short nights of summer it is hard to sleep.

Lots of homeless people in the area but still felt safe. Loved the shuttle to the airport. Would have loved the option to get a shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Would stay again!

LivinInAZ (4/5): Safety and Sanitary Concerns - This is a complicated review because our party of 3 rooms (all adults) stayed at My Place Anchorage before and after a train trip (several days in between). Our first stay - a week night. We all checked in at midnight. No significant issues. Had breakfast at the grocery nearby. Our second stay - a weekend night. We all checked in different times midnight and thereafter. First room did not have any issues but front desk mentioned that the hotel had no rooms available (an indication that it was busy). The second room had SECURITY issue where the checkin key card opened door to room where someone was in bed. A new room was issued. No double latch system on door. Third room - told upon checkin at 2:00 am that TV is broken in that room and that ice maker on floor is broken. Had no choice - still checked in. Party of 4 adults had to go to hospital and returned at 4:00 am. SANITARY issue - Toilet had one normal flush then it broke. First adult took shower and the tub did not drain enough and bath water was over a foot high. All in room said it was just gross and beyond normal. For rooms 2 & 3 - front desk person was not phased. Said issues would be noted with management. That’s all. Plumbing issues were addressed in the tone of the customers did something to break the toilet. They were dealing with a medial emergency and were barely in the room so that attitude was not welcome. Because of how front desk handled issues this review is based off stay 2. Do not recommend at all. Safely and sanitary issues are of great concern.
dianne2017 (10/5): Extended stay perfect - Rooms are clean and comfortable! Always a plus to have laundry facilities available. Enjoy the choice of having a microwave or a stove top for cooking and full size refrigerator for longer stays. Highly recommend
Jill (10/5): - Quiet hotel, good beds; easy check in. Staff happy to hold our luggage while we explored. Uber or taxi helped us get around. Here for only 24 hrs, so it might have been better to find a hotel downtown. But the price difference more than covers cost of those Ubers.
James (2/5): - Probably worst stay I have ever had. Set up a shuttle pick up at rail depot a couple weeks before. When I arrived at 1015 PM, called to confirm the pick up at the rail. They confirmed. I waited a while to not be annoying and practice patience. Called again. They said the driver was waiting for me at gate 6, which is of course at the airport. By time I got to hotel, it was like 1130 PM. Took a while to get checked in, which would have been fine except I was already delayed quite a while. Then the attendant tells me I have room 118 and that she had never checked anyone into that room before. Departing attendant said she had not either because it wasnt operational cuz TV and kitchen don't work. I am so exhausted I just say whatever as long as AC works. Put that fiasco aside for a second. I had two rooms, each two queens. I get to second room 301 I think. It is a single queen. So I call down to front desk to ask what's going on. Short of it is the front desk gal was incompetent and wouldn't or who knows was competent enough to switch my room. So ended up with one room that was not fully operational and the other where we had to sleep on the floor after we were delayed an hour from arriving at hotel from their incompetence. Great start to the vacation.

Maria (8/5): - The hotel room was clean, modern and spacious. The kitchenette had a fridge, microwave and hob however no cutlery, crockery or pans were provided. Paper plates and plastic cutlery are provided at the reception desk. Staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

So at the time I had to leave I was told to call for an uber instead because they didn't have anyone to shuttle me over.
