Guest Reviews
- Hung Lun (10/5):
- Ron (8/5): - The Hotel has a good location, clean great breakfast.
Because of its location there is no alcohol available.
- Graeme (8/5): Wangchan Riverview - Nice place to stay close to the river and not far from the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Paul (8/5): Good place but needs work - Very nice place that is under renovation. Needs to finish. Room had 2 light that did not work, no hair dryer. Few outlets for charging and not working Heat pump
- DominicVeeranat (6/5): Fine Hotel to stay in Pitsanuloke - Quite an okay hotel, clean, quiet (sometimes), good size of the room. Breakfast could be a lot better, very little selections. Saucesage boiled with plastic wrap!, no milk, no fruit juices but Thai food were very good in tasted.
Asking for extra pillow, staff said will charge 50 Baht!!!!
Rats running around the ceiling and making a lof of noice, apart from that were just fine.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location and clean! - The hotel is right on the bank of the river, great views from the window. Room was clean and they let us use their bicycles to explore for free. Breakfast was adequate and their rice soup was great!
- Wingfield73 (8/5): Everything (except shower) ok - This is a nice hotel, well run and centrally located opposite the city's principal temples and near the Naruesan memorial. Nice views across the river. Good, secure parking too. All the necessary COVID precautions were well in place. Spacious rooms clean, TV, A/C, WiFi all in good order. Prices only 800THB. Breakfast ok too. My only complaint was that the water in the shower (night and morning) was cold. Would certainly return.
- Phupea (10/5): - โดยรวมๆแล้วชอบค่ะ ที่พักดี อาหารอร่อย การต้อนรับดี
- John (8/5): - The room was very good. Breakfast was good. Hotel is close to night market - walking distance. Plenty of parking
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice, would stay again - Nice location, great room, good buffet breakfast. Staff don't speak much English, don't expect any information or tips for your trip
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Basically it was a two star hotel with minimum facilities. Almost nothing is provided. Wi-fi was not stable in our room. The chairs were dirty. Pillow sheets were stained. TV was still analog and of poor quality. Half of lights were not working. The glass window was extremely disgusting like it was never cleaned in quite a few years. Got mosquitoes in the room biting us. A mid-size rat was spotted during breakfast in the restaurant.
However, the staffs were so welcoming. Check in was easy. Location was great. Elevators were fast. AC worked fine. Free comfortable, on-time shuttle to the airport.
- June (4/5): Old hotel, dead cockroach in my breakfast - Location is good. It is located near tourist attraction and close to Naan river.
Hotel room is quite old. Moreover, I found a dead cockroach in my breakfast. That was so disgusting.
- SARO (6/5): - mediocre all around.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Convenient location - Nice location directly on the river and near to local sites with plenty of enclosed parking. The staff were welcoming, the room clean and the breakfast quite nice, if somewhat limited. I would stay here again.
- Alex Stillhard (10/5): Nice place to be - unfortunatly not in GPS
- Joe Kotcharat (10/5): - ขอชมเชยพนักงานโรงแรมเราลืมสร้อยและพระเครื่องราคาสูงไว้ทางโรงแรมโทรแจ้งให้รับคืนต้องขอบคุณมากเลยครับ.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Excellent location, especially close to the main temple and the river. A must stay during Loy Krathong festival. The room was spacious and clean, a bit musty though.
- Boywonder51 (6/5): Decent place to stay - This hotel was a decent place with a great buffet. We stayed for a night and had got good night's rest and the breakfast buffet was really good. Its close to the river and we had a great walk. Lots of locals walking and exercising in the area as well.
- WoraChm (10/5): Extensive breakfast - Hotel is good for group.I just stayed 1 night. Rooms are clean and nice view. ฺBed was soften for sleep at night.Restroom don't have warm water but have all basic amenities. Breakfast was a buffet with extensive choices. It very good for cheap hotel rate.
- dogcabo (4/5): Was ready to check out after we checked in - We stayed here for one night as part of a 16 person group touring Thailand and Vietnam for 30 days. We stayed here for one night. Our room was quiet, and situated with a view of the river. There were several lightbulbs out in the room. Above our heads when lying down was a scary collection of spider pods on webs on the ceiling. Our shower flooded the bathroom floor. The hard mattress is set on a large platform that extends beyond the perimeter of the mattress. 7 of 16 people bumped into the painful corners of the platform, and two received skin tears and bruising. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel. The dinner was basic, and acceptable. Breakfast was a buffet with multiple choices but we lost our appetite after watching a rat run around the food on the buffet table set up against a wall. We reported the rat to the staff, and were somewhat entertained as we watched them running around chasing the rat with a broom while screeching. About the only redeeming quality of this hotel was it's location was right across from a river, and it was a pleasant stroll along the riverfront. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 896lindar (4/5): Yuck. Other than that the location is nice. - OAT put our tour group up in this hotel for one night. Supposedly it is university owned and run by the students in training for the hospitality industry. I suspect it was simply cheap
Terrible service. The room, while spacious was run down. The shower was moldy. The food was cold. One of the people on our tour opened the hot water pot to fill it to boil water and found it filled with mold.
If this is a training hotel the program will have a rude awaking working the real world. Service in the VAST majority of other hotels in Thailand is excellent.
- 30MichaelL30 (4/5): Just left, wouldn't go back - This hotel is cheap and should be. The rooms need refitted badly. The bed is on a pedestal with a large extension that you will bang your leg on. Our group of seven all had bruises or cuts. The dinner was the worst we have encountered but the real killer was the rat running around on the ledge behind the breakfast buffet. Sorry, close the place and do the renovations needed!
- 936judil (8/5): A wonderful, convenient hotel run by University students - This hotel is very plain, but clean. It is a student run hotel for college age kids who want to go into the restaurant business. They are learning and supervised, but service can be slow. This hotel has the most comfortable beds and best air conditioning of any of our Thailand hotels. Food was adequate, but there are good restaurant near by. Laundry service is available. WiFi was good in the lobby and fair in the room. There is a lovely pool, beautiful outside bar, and fitness center. There is no in-room sage or hairdryer. Massage is inexpensive but not as good as other places. Location is very convenient to town, walking in a park, and restaurants. My only complaint was some mold in the bathroom, this really grosses me out. Good place to stay.
- jajavalB (6/5): Cozy hotel with Nan riverview - This hotel locates close to the Rin Nan public park which you can exercise in the morning or the evening, just cross the bridge , you will arrive night market. At night along the road in front of the hotel, there are many small cafes selling milk, tea, coffee and softdrinks, very popular among teenagers.
- mn_isla_girl (8/5): Fine hotel, nothing exceptional - I have no complaints with Wangchan Riverview Hotel. It was clean and everything was in working order. Fine for a 1 night stay while traveling north. No pool and not much to do in the walkable surrounding area. Views of the river were nice, and there was a good paved walking path along the river, lots of locals out enjoying the evening with a stroll.
- nadia089 (6/5): A bit impersonal - First impressions were very mixed, the hotel building looks quite impressive and the location didn't seem too bad, however the people skills of the staff are not too good, plenty of staff around but they seem to avoid any contact with guests. The room was at the front of the hotel so a nice view of the river and was very quiet. The room is clean and modern but we found the large armchair a step too far, it took ok up a huge space in the room. The bathroom was well equipped but sadly we had no hot water so it was cold showers for 4 days. The internet is quite intermittent which can be annoying, the breakfast was varied, but again the staff not interested in the guests. This hotel is not a bad location, it's about 10/15 minute ride from the bus station,
- KelvinK655 (8/5): Great value - This is a relatively new hotel, hence all of the furnishings are in good condition, excellent air conditioning and windows that open. The buffet breakfast puts most 4 star hotels to shame. Plenty of covered parking available. The only reason I didn't give the hotel full marks is because there is no swimming pool
- nunot491 (6/5): Normal - This hotel is located close to the river, not exactly in the city center, however you can easily walk, as the city is small. The rooms are ok aand also the breakfast is good, however the hotel is getting a bit old.
- Kathy0619 (6/5): OK for one night - As with most hotels outside of Bangkok, this one has free wifi, a small mini-bar refrigerator and a safe in the room. There's the requisite breakfast, and the room was clean, comfortable. , safe in room. This hotel was built by/for the university and the area around the river is great for walking. I highly suggest skipping the night market which is creepy, though. No pool. No alcohol except beer.
- itdhip0rnr (8/5): Good, new hotel with affordable price - New establishment hotel with good location that is not far from the interesting place in Phissanulok. I stay on riverside wing that provide the panoramic view of Nan River. Every facilities in room is quite new. Friendly staff with good service mind especially housekeeper and bell boy. BF is enough and various. I will stay in this hotel when I visits this town again.
- erntravels (2/5): Bathroom smelled like a backed up sewer! Yech! - We stayed at Wangchan River View hotel for one night on an OAT tour in December. This was yet the third unacceptable, barely 1-star accommodation on this trip. The water was lukewarm at best and the bathroom smelled like a sewer! No kidding. We complained but nothing was done about it. We were in room 409 opposite the elevator which activated a voice every time a button was pushed, day or night. (“You have now reached the fourth floor. Going down.”) Just great when you are trying to sleep! The room was a good size and included a closet with 4 hangers, space for two suitcases, two chairs, round table, bed with rock-hard pillows, bath with shower in the tub. The lighting was good. There were shampoo, soap, tissues, and water. The outlets are European. Wifi was available in the room. We do not recommend this hotel.
- DaanS853 (10/5): Big hotel, view over river - Short stay, 1night. Good value for money. Big international hotel, with view over the river. Good bed, clean room, good shower. Building looks all still new. Daytime not much going on around the hotel. From 6pm ther e is build up some small nightstrip alongside the river in front of the hotel with small restaurants. Mostly visited by joung local couples en groups, we saw no other tourists and menus only in Thai. People all superfriendly. The town itself did not impress.
- Nantasit (10/5): Nice river view from your bed. - Wangchan has a nice river view. It is located at heart of city. The room is spacious and well managed by staff. Its interior design given oriental atmosphere. The price is surprised. It is cheap maybe the hotel belong to university.
