The breakfast was excellent and filling. The manager was very friendly and helpful. My wife loved the bed and thick blankets. She said it was one of the best vacation beds she ever had. Very convenient for the train station. No heating so cool in the morning.

Para controlar el agua de la ducha es difícil, pq sale o muy caliente o fría. Pero eso pasa en todos los alojamientos de Perú así q nada nuevo. Faltó un armario para guardar cosas.

The owner was very flexible, late check-in, made water for tea and parking nearby where we were allowed to stay until we left late afternoon Room was freezing cold, no heating, and the warm water ran out after 2 showers. Two heavy blankets and a duvet is no replacement for a comfortable sleeping temperature.

Nos gustó que salimos temprano y tenían el desayuno empacado para nuestra salida. El lugar es tranquilo y queda al lado del río. Todo estuvo muy bien.

He coordinated with us based on our schedule to make sure he cooked us fresh breakfast every day. Plus, the train station was only a 2-3 minute walk, which made visiting Machu Picchu less stressful. I would recommended anyone to not only stay in Ollantaytambo, but to stay here. N/A

• Boon Seng (9/5): A convenient and budget-friendly place to stay in Ollantaytambo, perfect for travelers catching the train to Machu Picch - Wayras Hostal is in a fantastic location—just a 5-minute walk from the train station, which makes it ideal for anyone heading to Machu Picchu. It’s also around a 10 minute walk to the central square with lots of restaurants. The property is clean, offers good value for money, and includes a decent breakfast. I also really appreciated the peaceful setting next to the river and the friendly, helpful staff who made the stay pleasant The shower could have had better water pressure, but it was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise comfortable stay.

Tuve que bajar dos veces porque no había agua., quitan el agua en el pueblo y en el hostal tienen un depósito con agua y un motor, pero a las 5 de la mañana tuve que buscar al personal para que me dieran agua. Para el acceso a las habitaciones hay que pasar por un jardín y unas escaleras que esta oscuro, a veces está la luz y otras veces no. Debes encender la linterna del móvil.

Hot water from the sink and shower was much appreciated. Located within easy walking distance to the train station. Excellent and safe parking nearby. Fabulous breakfast. Easy to store our bags during our overnight in Aguas Calientes. Thank you for the excellent stay!

• Natalia (8/5): Cette chambre a fait l’affaire pour une nuit avant d’explorer le macchu picchu. - L’hotel Wayras est à deux pas de la gare de train pour le machu picchu, ce qui est extrêmement pratique. Les environs sont calmes. Notre chambre donnait sur la route et nous n’avons pas été dérangés par le bruit des voitures. Tout était très propre. Le lit est très confortable. La salle de bain : propre, douche spacieuse, petit jet d’eau et pas beaucoup d’eau chose. J’imagine que c’est ainsi dans la région. Au mois de septembre il fait froid, pas de chauffage, n’hésitez pas à ramener les grosses chaussettes et la polaire. Le petit déjeuner buffet était simple mais efficace et la nourriture était fraiche : fruits coupés et bananes, granola, fromage, jambon, œufs brouillés, pain, confiture, thé et café, lait. Le savon et le papier toilette étaient fournis. Les hôtes sont très gentils. Les chambres de l’hôtel sont mal isolées entre elle au plan sonore (nous entendions très bien les voisins d’en face parler fort au point d’avoir du leur demander de baisser l’intensité) ; ainsi que sur le plan olfactif (ces memes voisins ont commencé à fumer cigarette et cannabis à l’intérieur alors que c’était interdit ; encore une fois nous avons du intervenir nous mêmes pour leur demander de cesser car l’odeur pénétrait directement dans notre chambre via le système d’aération. Nous ne sommes pas parvenus à ouvrir la fenêtre de la chambre pour aérer. L’eau est froide la plupart du temps, ou alors c’est une alternance de chaud-tiède-froid.

The location was perfect for us. - The location is excellent if you intend to catch the train to Machupicchu on the next day. It took us not even 10 minutes on foot to get to the train station. There is no heat in the property. We had to ask for space heaters and they had only one and it didn’t even work properly.
• Maria jose (10/5): Fabuloso ! - Casa colonial hermosa , el anfitrión muy cordial y atento. Nosotros nos alojamos solo una noche porque veníamos de machupichu y llegamos a las 10:30 de la noche en tren , elegimos hospedarnos el mismo día , porque mi pareja se enfermó y no se sentía en condiciones de viajar hasta Cusco ese mismo día , así que buscando hospedaje cerca de la estación dimos con esta hostal , y la verdad es que fue por lejos la mejor decisión !!. Don Fredy nos recibió esa noche sin siquiera cobrarnos en el momento , gesto que encontré muy cálido y humano ya que veníamos muy cansados y sólo necesitábamos tendernos en la cama , pagamos al otro día antes de irnos . La habitación muy amplia , decorada como casita de campo y se escuchaba el río ! , fue la mejor decisión quedarnos y volver al día siguiente a Cusco, me hubiese gustado quedarme más tiempo allí . La cama expectacularmente cómoda , con mucha ropa de cama , limpia. El desayuno fabuloso , con frutitas, huevo , palta , café , leche , yogurt , muchas cosas que elegir . Sin duda volvería y lo recomiendo totalmente ! Todo espectacular

• Joanna (8/5): Great place to stay if you’re visiting Machu Picchu - Really well located for the station if you are going to Machu Picchu. Fredy was incredibly helpful and helped us book a driver and guide for part of the Sacred Valley on the way to Ollantaytambo. Beds were comfortable and a pleasant stream ran at the back of the property. Good breakfast, which starts at 6am so that you can eat before your train. The road outside the hostal could get very busy with vehicles picking up and dropping off at the station. Worth paying extra for a superior room that faces the river instead of the main road.
