• Karissa (8/5): A nice peacful hotel. Spacious and clean rooms. - Good location, easy to get to, room’s are spacious and neat. They have a small gym as well. This was our second time staying at this place The shower head needs replacing

The breakfast was excellent and the room rates were excellent value for money. Air conditioner was sufficient. showers were hot. The hotel itself was excellent Perhaps a bit of the beaten track. Staff gave us a telephone number of a taxi firm who did not bother answering the call so we were stuck in thee hotel and dependent on the beach for walks. As ffor tthe beach it was excellent although access for people with disabilites is a non starter. I myself had difficulties getting on to the beach with high steps. The hotel could improve on its transport facilities and not rely on one taxi driver.

• Stan (9/5): Fantastic beachfront location, very good facilities and price, with only a few small practical drawbacks. - We ended up extending for two weeks, which probably says enough. The location is exceptional, literally on the beach. The beach itself is huge and mostly empty even during high season, so it often feels like you have it to yourself. Swimming is easy, the waves are beautiful, and you can walk for ages. Breakfast is remarkable with plenty of choice. There is also a nice pool and a surprisingly good gym downstairs, more like a real gym than a typical hotel fitness room. The hotel itself is a bit older but very well maintained and extremely clean. During three weeks we did not see a single insect in the room. Staff are attentive, reception is open 24 hours, and room service keeps everything tidy. Rooms have everything you need: fridge, kettle, hairdryer, desk area, lounge corner, and a beautiful balcony with sea view where you can hear the waves. The price is also very good for what you get. Hard to beat. The air conditioning is very old and quite loud. It works, but at night you basically choose between running the aircon or listening to the waves. There is also no proper drinking water refill at the hotel. You get small bottles in the room each day, but if you drink more water you have to buy additional bottles. In theory you could refill during breakfast, but it is awkward and once breakfast closes there is no option.

• Itchy-Feet (10/5): Strand-Idylle zum unschlagbaren Preis mit Infinity Pool - Die Lage ist sensationell: Vom Zimmer und vom Pool aus hat man einen traumhaften Ausblick direkt auf das Meer. Das Resort wirkt wie aus der Zeit gefallen und versprüht einen ganz eigenen, nostalgischen Charme. Es ist sehr sauber, das Personal überaus freundlich und das Frühstück wirklich lecker. Dass die Klimaanlage im Zimmer etwas lauter ist, nimmt man bei diesem unschlagbaren Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis gerne in Kauf. Man merkt, dass das Objekt bereits abgeschrieben ist und kaum noch investiert wird, aber der Komfort (inklusive Balkon) und die Lage machen das locker wett.

• Dirk (9/5): Ruhe und Entspannung pur - Sehr gutes, reichhaltiges Frühstück incl. Kaffeeautomat mit vielen Variationen (funktionierte immer). Pool sauber mit schönem Blick aufs Meer. Pool- und Strandhandtücher im Zimmer in pratischer Tragetasche. Fitnessstudio mit vielen Geräten klimatisiert und inklusive. Kein Touristenhotspot - wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist hier richtig. Betrifft nicht das Hotel: Strand leider abseits der Hotels und Restaurants vermüllt. (Was das Meer anspült, bleibt liegen.)

• karenvW3425DS (8/5): The golden surprise - my first reaction was one of disappointment as we came down the street. I didn't realize the hotel was this old but it soon vanished as I saw how well preserved it was and the friendly staff. Great breakfast and value for money. Nice convenient pool area and great view of the sea plus beach access. The gym is better than most commercial gyms we've seen at any of the hotels. There is a restaurant opposite for reasonable food and drinks. You need to be mobile to get to shops and other restaurants and the hotel can assist in getting bike rentals.
• Larissa (8/5): Fijne tijd gehad - Het hotel is idd gedateerd en aan een update toe maar wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad. Ruime kamer, goed bed, veel ruimte voor je spullen, uitstekend ontbijt en een tas met badhanddoeken. Zwembad ligt mooi aan zee, bedjes en parasols zijn ok. Het is wel handig om een auto of scooter te hebben want het ligt afgelegen. Wel is naast het hotel een restaurant waar je goed kunt eten. En voor deze prijs een aanrader. Niet echt tegen maar de douche zit vast en is niet verstelbaar, een beetje laag voor Europese mensen. Ook douche je in het bad.

Pusta, piękna plaża.przyjemne piaskowe i łagodne zejście do morza. Piekne dajace cień drzewa. Absolutnie świetny basen z pięknym widokiem na morze. Gajne śniadania. Piękne widoki na morze z balkonu. Jeśli coś mogłoby być lepsze - to jest to stary hotel, ze starymi rozwiązaniami i sprzętami. Ale czysty i zadbany :)

• Birgit (6/5): - Super lage direkt am Strand ruhiges hotel kein Trubel alle super nett super gym inklusive. Der Ort selber überschaubar entspannt zum fahren viel besser wie in Phuket. Einige wasserfälle und Cave's zum selber erkunden in der Nähe. Preis Leistung super wir haben 3 Tage verlängert Bisschen zu harte Matratzen und Dusche ist nicht optimal.
• Bertil (9/5): Hotell med kanonläge invid stranden i Khanon! - Hotellet är gammalt och lite slitet men väldigt charmigt. Vad som väger över är dess läge alldeles vid stranden med en fin pool och poolområde. Väldigt vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Hotellets del av stranden är välstädad men vågorna från Siamviken för hela tiden upp skräp på stränderna. Men hotellets personal håller både strand och omgivningarna i bra skick. Vårt rum var bra och bekvämt, frukosten var helt ok. Välfungerande AC och rummet har balkong med utsikt över stranden. På gångavstånd finns det bra restauranger och kaféer samt en liten närbutik. Restaurangen som ligger precis invid hotellet tyckte vi inte var så bra. Allt var bra även om hotellet nog har ett framtida renoveringsbehov.

• Clo (10/5): Endroit parfait pour une repos - Le plus bel hôtel a date. Le luxe a bas prix. Nous avons adoré la chambre immense avec un fauteuil confortable le premier de notre voyage. La piscine immense face a la mer. Le personnel attentif et au petit soin. Je le recommande si vous voulez la paix. Le seul problème qu'un seul restaurant et pas de taxi pour se déplacer. Un employé nous a dépassé a quelques reprises. Le personnel ne parle pas anglais, dommage.

Le personnel s'efforce de satisfaire le client .... Le personnel s'efforce de satisfaire le client ....mais la communication est difficile car problème avec l'anglais. Le personnel est de bonne volonté mais la Direction de l’hôtel devrait leur offrir des cours d'anglais ! C’est un hôtel 4* ! Par ailleurs, pas de prêt de vélos pour aller en ville a 4 km de là. J’ai aussi demandé un tuktuk, la réceptionniste n'avait personne à me proposer.!!!!! Il faut améliorer le service aux clients.

Wake up to jungle noises, including sounds of gibbons every day was incredible. The price for our stay was very reasonable and we ended up staying a further 5 nights. The beach is incredible and so quiet if you need some time away from the touristy areas. There isnt a lot to do and own transport or a taxi is needed to go to most places but if you just want relaxation you've got it. Staff were lovely, rooms were so clean and the pool was great. We even saw bioluminescent plankton at night in the sea. Will definately be back! Slightly dated but didnt make our stay any less enjoyable. Nowhere to sit outside except your room balcony when its raining. No umbrellas and comfortable cushions by the pool.

• Knopf-Reese (6/5): Altes sauberes Hotel in top Lage - Die Lage des Hotels direkt am Strand ist super und in der Nähe gibt es tolle Restaurants. Pool war auch gut. Das ganze Hotel ist schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und abgenutzt.

• Michelle (1/5): Geen aanrader! - Mooi zwembad met schoon leeg strand voor de deur. Khanom was een nachtmerrie bij dit hotel. Dit hotel adverteert met gratis airport shuttle, dit is er niet. Van het vliegveld Surat Thani naar dit hotel kost 1500 baht, 1,5 uur reizen. Het hotel is gedateerd en de kamers zijn verouderd, maar niet slecht. Er waren 2 dames bij de receptie, 1 oudere, 1 jongere. Met name de jongere was onvriendelijk en wilde ons niet helpen naar het centrum. Ook niet met google translate. Via Johnny's bar, links op het strand kregen we informatie. Hier kan je drankjes doen, leuke eigenaar en praat goed engels. Er is blijkbaar ook geen centrum in Khanom, maar we wilden ergens heen om geld te pinnen en te eten. Er is 1 hotel/bar op de hoek, maar die was om 18.30 al dicht. Via het strand kan je naar andere hotels om in hun restaurant te eten, maar die zijn allemaal op maandag en woensdag dicht. Het was om 19u opeens donker dus in het pikkedonker over het strand met wilde honden is geen optie. De kok uit ons eigen hotel was al naar huis om 18.30, hier konden we ook niet eten. Terwijl er wel briefjes hingen dat het open zou zijn tot 23u. De 7eleven is 30 minuten lopen, de grab kwam niet en het hotel wilde niet bellen voor een taxi. Het strand zelf is prachtig en verlaten, nauwelijks mensen. Rond 17u komen de thai zelf naar het strand, ze spreken nauwelijks Engels maar ze zijn vriendelijk. Een taxi krijgen is al een probleem, dit alles zorgde ervoor dat we weg wilden. Zonder eigen vervoer kom je nergens want ze hebben geen bus of iets anders. We stonden erop dat ze toch een taxi regelden zodat we naar de ferry konden. Na 5 taxi's gebeld te hebben, kwam er 1 en die had een grote fijne auto. Hij sprak goed engels en hielp ons met de ferry. Mocht je in Khanom zijn, aanrader voor taxi: JEEM +6681396366 Hij heeft ook een restaurant, helaas wisten we dit niet. Overal een slechte ervaring voor ons, wat ons heeft gedreven naar koh samui.

Le bruit des couloirs, des portes qui claquent, des chambres voisines. Très compliqué de se doucher. Les vélos … une légende. Pas de coffre. Pas d’aide pour sortir les bagages de la voiture en arrivant. On vous regarde galérer sans bouger.

Rooms were spacious and everything seems to be working well. They also have function rooms and a gym. The double bed kept on moving so it even if they were put side by side, we couldn’t really sleep closer to each other

• Aleksei (4/5): It seems the hotel's "golden" days are long gone. - On the positive side, the location is great, the breakfast was decent, and the blankets were warm, though again, the sheets were rather shabby. There was a hole in the ceiling awkwardly stuffed with a tissue (see photo), peeling plaster in places (see photo), and brown stains on the toilet lid (see photo). The air conditioner's grill is falling off (see photo), and towels and bed sheets were quite worn out, showing clear signs of age.
