- Kellie (8/5): - I loved everything except for the fear of cooking. I mean I understand seafood and curry but my toddler asked for bacon but I was afraid they'd charge my card if I did. Besides that, it was everything I needed. They were nice people and rules are rules for a reason I guess.

- Alexis (10/5): - Awesome family spot! Easy going stay with our young kids in The Cottage. We loved the rustic, well-built playground. Nastalgic fun for us and the perfect place to bring some fun toys for a treasure hunt.
- Ellen (10/5): Home Sweet Home - Quaint little cottage. All they needed was a "Home Sweet Home" sign. All the necessities included. Deck chairs were sweet in the morning to enjoy your coffee or early evening to enjoy the company.

The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything one or two people would need. The owners were also friendly and made us feel very welcome.

- Auke (8/5): Clean apartment - Comfortable and clean suite. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pull out couch bed. Almost perfect except that is was difficult to cool down the suite in the very warm weather (no AC or shade). There were fans though and that helped. One more note: When booking on hotels.com I must not have paid attention; I thought I was booking one of the cabins but it turned out I booked a 4-plex suite.

- Tina (8/5): - Stayed in a 4 plex. It was cute. Had a bedroom, couch that pulled out into a bed, kitchen with dishes and cooking utensils. Unfortunately, there was no A/C, fans were loud, and there was a sign that said not to cook ethnic food or fish.

- Joyce (2/5): - This is the most terrible motel I’ve ever stayed. A suite with kitchen, but not allow to cook seafood, actually not welcome to cook honestly. I guess most people going to this area are having fun with clam, oyster and crab catching. People would like to enjoy cooking these fresh seafoods at night for dinner. We were not acknowledged of these rules until check-in. Definitely I wouldn’t pick this motel if I know this rule earlier.

- Kolbi (10/5): Cottage - We were the first people to stay in the new cottage and it far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful, spacious, fully equipped. Highly recommended and would stay again!
- Lindsay (10/5): - Had a great time at Spirit Cabin. Staff was friendly and the park and arcade onsite were fun for the kids. Only downside is the fold out couch was very thin and uncomfortable. My teenager just slept on the couch folded up.
- Sui Mun (10/5): - The property was huge, the front desk is also a neat little convenience store, there’s an arcade and a playground for the kids, laundry room, women’s and men’s change rooms, lots of spots for RV parking and camping, a very nice and quiet river for swimming. Loved it very much, will definitely go back again!!

- Jill (10/5): - We rented the Spirit cabin for a night. The front desk lady was so so nice and knew my name without looking at the bookings, which made it seem super personal and friendly. The cabin was sooo cute and super clean. It is outisde of the campground gates, which gets locked at 10 pm, so you don't have to worry about returning to your site by a certain time if you're out adventuring. Bed was super comfy and the sheets were the freshest smelling sheets I've ever smelled. 😆 Today on the way to the garbadge dumpster, i discovered an arcade in the campground!!! 😃 Highly recommend, will book again any time we're up that way!! It's walking distance (along the water!) to so much and the swimming hole is a delightful gem!! Fire pit gave us extra visiting time in evening under a starry sky! Family converged from Edmonton, Ontario and Tofino and we shall return!! 💖😎💖

- Colby (4/5): - The picture is completely inaccurate. The cottage is old, outdated and the roof was covered by tarps. The maintenance shed is right next to it making it noisy and staff are around all day. The cottage sits across from the main office and gated entry to the RV park and campground (not even behind the gate). Traffic enters and exits all day and visitors are utilizing the office for check-in or purchasing of small supplies. The playground is falling apart, wood is rotting and portions are rusted and filthy. It is not safe for children. If children play there, they should be supervised and have a tetanus shot.

The staff were very helpful and responsive to any requests for information about the site and the local area. Also, the accommodation is close to local restaurants, beaches, restaurants, and other ammenities in Qualicum Beach and Parksville.
- Angela (10/5): - Loved the location and the staff were warm and very accommodating. Didn’t realize how close to the main road our cabin would be and we were a bit bothered by traffic noise. All in all it was a great place though and I’d go back for sure.
- Amara (8/5): - The cabin is located in a dark corner of the RV park and right next to the old island highway. The cabin has adequate facilities but is starting to age, despite the cute decor. Note: they use either an air freshener or heavily scented cleaning products. The RV park is cute and alongside the qualicum River. We were able to watch the start of the salmon spawning.
