Guest Reviews
- Carol (10/5): - Wish there’s AC
- jason (10/5): Great place! - Everything was lovely. Magical place. It's a two room hotel that is a castle that dates from medieval times. Lovingly restored and decorated. The tour was very good as well, and they make fantastic wine. But the best part was the kindness and hospitality of the staff.
- Philippe (10/5): Private chateau fairytale stay - Fairytale stay having the whole chateau to the 2 of us
- Louise (10/5): - Outstanding and unforgettable!
- Erhan (10/5): - It was exceptional. Catherine was so helpful. We shared the whole chateau with another couple. We became friends and we had wine together every night at the chateau. Ww will go back some day!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A unique experience to have a castle all to yourself, complete with medieval furnishings. The breakfast in the dining room, in particular, made me feel like a king (if only for a day).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a unique opportunity to live in a castle! And you are on your own there: you are greeted on arrival, shown around - and then it is like your own! Incredible experience, something to put on a bucket list!
- MARK (10/5): - Amazing and such a magnificent place to stay
- Eugenia (10/5): Your very own fairytale expereince in Bordeax. - The chateau is right out of a fairytale and the manager was a gracious host. The location is perfect for visiting the great wine Chateaux of the left bank in Bordeaux. Highly recommend for a very special experience. Bathrooms were well appointed and WI FI signal was strong.
- LAI FONG (10/5): A real Castle! Feel like home! - I couldn't believe that I lived in a real castle! The room is spacious and full of history. The property manager welcomed us and introduced the castle so that I had no problem to stay for the night! We had our breakfast in the dinning room which made me feel like a princess!
The only regret is one night is too short and not enough because I still have a lot to explore in this castle. I would definitely rebook this hotel in future visit!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Unique and peaceful stay at this magnificent 2 guest rooms chateau!
- roch hugo (10/5): Excellence décontractée - N’hesitez Pas
- Anita (10/5): Wonderful stay - We had a lovely stay at Chateau La Tour Carnet. The property is absolutely amazing and the staff were lovely.
- Karyn (10/5): Amazing historic environment - We were two couples who had the glorious experience of occupying this twelfth century chateau by ourselves. There are only two majestic bedrooms, and no resident staff. Catherine lays out a sumptuous breakfast at a time of your choice, answers questions, makes suggestions or bookings, and then departs. We were in the middle of working vineyards, surrounded by a moat complete with two rowboats, and welcomed by two beautiful black swans each time we walked over the drawbridge. A unique and wonderful three night stay.
- mario (10/5): We had our own Castle for a week!!!!! - What can I say!??!?!? How often do you have your very own PRIVATE CASTLE? There are only two rooms in this chateau, and we got the one with a shower. Everything is incredibly medieval, classy and made you feel like royalty. L'Occtain en Provence toiletries were provided everyday...
This is a historic property surrounded by fantastic vineyards. Breakfast is served in a dining hall fit for king Arthur. The breakfast was awesome.... I never had croissants that were so good! and the coffee and jams were too good to be real.
We toured dozens of famous Bordeaux wine estates in our rented car from the central location of our "castle"... We visited sleepy little wine villages, and saw many ancient homes, churches and buildings. We even headed out to see the Atlantic oast of Bordeaux. Everytime we "got home" to our castle, we felt so at home.
Everyone should rent a castle at least once in your life. Natalie and Cadhijah were extremely attentive and helpful. WE WANT TO GO BACK!!!!
- Patricia (10/5): Beautiful castle - It was like staying in your own private castle , with beautiful furnishings and great service, in the midst of world famous wineries.
- James (10/5): Exceptional castle in the middle of a vineyard - This place is the most romantic and well presented place I have ever stayed in. When staying at Chateau La Tour Carnet you are taking one of only two bedrooms which means you have complete access to the whole castle (a dining room for 20 people, 2 sitting rooms, a chapel, a whole floor of ancient artefacts). The grounds are immaculately kept and we would really recommend taking one of the wine tours and a picnic.
- Petra (10/5): Wonderful in every way! - Wonderful in every way! Beautifully kept, interesting, friendly and nice staff.
- andrew (8/5): Beautiful - Amazing room. Just breakfast was not up to scratch.
