• 698stevef698 (4/5): Bad parking experience - I spent one night here on Sunday, March 1, 2026. My room was nice. It appears to have been recently renovated and was a very clean room. Normally I'd rank the hotel as a 5 star because of the room, but the location of the toilet and the bathroom door was awkward. Half of the bathroom door covered the toilet, and as a single traveler, I found it annoying to have to open and close the door every time I went into the bathroom. So because of that flaw, I would rank the hotel as a 4 star. However, my actual ranking is going to be a 2 star review because of the parking. This is an interstate adjacent location on top of a hillside, with parking shared only by a fellow Marriott property (Residence Inn). There is a $10 charge for parking, which is bad enough in this remote location - but the only way to pay for parking is to sign up using a QR code and you are forced to give them you email and cell phone number, and then click that you "Accept" all of their terms and conditions. Trying to read through the terms and conditions on my cell phone at midnight was frustrating. I asked the front desk attendant what would happen if I didn't accept, and he said I couldn't stay at the hotel that night. So I am reducing my rating by one star for charging $10 per vehicle in this remote interstate adjacent property and by another star for forcing me to provide a cell phone and email and also accept terms and conditions
• Alicia (10/5): Beautiful hotel surrounded by the nightlife - Was in a great area and close to the Mall of Georgia. That we had to pay for parking and that it seems as though they were short staff in the restaurant. The young lady was pleasant, professional, and kept the guest informed but she was overwhelmed. Her computer was down so she had to operate by a paper register to determine who had breakfast included in their stay.

• Ronald (8/5): Apart from the bad experience with the dinner , the stay in this hotel was good - Nice hotel, friendly staff, clean, quiet. Access to the gym was also nice. Very good French toast served for breakfast I had a simple dinner , but the quality and taste was not good (it was a kind of sandwich with bacon and chicken or something like that , together with fries). Also it was served like warm. It would have been better to look around closely for some better food.

THEY ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS WHEM ASKED. THEY LOOKED FOR THE ANSWER IF THEY DIDN'T HAVE ONE ON HAND. THEY WERE QUICK TO RING UP AMY PURCHASES OR TRANSACTIONS THAT WERE requested. THERE SEEMED TO BE SOME KIND OF STAIN ON THE PULLOUT COUCH IN MY ROOM. IT WOULD NEED TO BE SHAMPOOED OUT. THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS ARE NOT TRANSFERRING OVER THE BREAKFAST INCLUDED OPTION PROPERLY. ONLY TO FIND THAT IT CREATES A $20.00 expense.

• JeffColumbus (4/5): Not Very Sweet Stay at Marriott Duluth/Sugarloaf - The hotel is relatively new, but it's got some problems. I didn't enjoy paying $10 a day to park in the hotel surface lot. I didn’t enjoy the weirdly low water level of the toilet. I didn’t enjoy the warm (never hot) shower, and absolutely HATED the bed, which was far too hard. Would not stay again and do not recommend. A real dud.

The room was tiny considering it was a king room with a pull out bed. The door stuck really badly. The bathroom smelled like mildew. I was led to believe that breakfast was included for all members of my party that i booked rooms for. To my surprise, i paid extra for the room and the meal was not included. This needs to be addressed. My husband paid $59 for hotel breakfast before we were told the room does come with 1 complimentary meal. My 2nd room was caught off guard by this new development and ended up paying $45 for their meals.

• mihaib1975 (10/5): Very good hotel in the area - Very good hotel in Duluth. Well maintained, clean and professionally staffed. I had a standard double room which was incredibly spacious and modern. All the amenities in the room and bathroom worked well. The hotel grounds were well maintained and there is ample parking space. The hotel does charge a parking fee which was 10USD per vehicle per night at the time of my stay (April 2025). I would be more than happy to stay at this hotel again.

• Shaniece (10/5): - The woman at the desk when i arrived fixed everything while checking in and was able to reassure me that the charges charged to my credit card before i arrived were fixed and reversed.She was excellent. Her name was Melitza or Maritza, i hope thats the right name. Latin woman with black hair and extreme patience and politeness. The gentleman that i spoke with before i arrived on site charged all three rooms to my card,despite my selection to pay when i arrive. I knew he charged it because he told me that he did when i called. Then he said he will reverse it. I said “wait would this ruin my reservation “ he didnt answer he just reversed it. This caused too many transactions on my card before i got there(3 charges and 3refunds). When i arrived, to swipe for my individual room(where the nice lady assisted us all), it declined due to possible suspicious activity. My partner paid, then the other two rooms reserved for my dad and sister they paid separately.He was very short/rude and pushy on the phone. I never got his name but he had an accent. Also if the booking says pay when you arrive, the site shouldn’t charge you before you arrive. The nice lady onsite told me that he shouldn’t have charged me before i arrived as well and proceeded to check us in and reassured us all.

When I was checking out the next morning, Charles was at the front desk. He remembered my name and that surprised me. His attentiveness and energy made me feel as though I was leaving home and that I would be welcomed back at any time. Thank you Charles.
