Linda (9/5): - I was charged $50 extra for a 3rd car parking pass, which I had a party of 8, which we needed 3 cars. And for the pool area which is open until 11:00 was not lit up for us to sit out there as well as the beach area. We came for my husband’s 50th birthday and wanted to be able to celebrated after returning from dinner which was about 10:00 pm and it was very dark.

Alisha (10/5): Beautiful Beach Views - The room was wonderful with beautiful views and it was quiet. We ate at the BRGR restaurant which was expensive but delicious. The staff were all friendly and they made sure we always had whatever we needed. The only part that was just okay was the pool area, since it is a bit small, but this did not matter as much to us. This was an excellent place to stay!

Das größte Problem waren wenig Möglichkeiten nasse Sachen von 5 Personen zum Trocknen aufzuhängen. Es gab viel zu wenig Haken. Wir waren jeden Tag am Meer oder im Pool und auf dem Balkon wurden die Sachen nicht trocken.

It’s a bit far from the waterline but chairs are available to rent on the beach. We had Iguana Rental drop off bikes, ice chest, wagon & chairs for our use which was really nice but I think I would just rent directly from the beach next time!

Wish the balcony chairs were NOT Adirondack chairs....they are extremely uncomfortable so we didn't use the beautiful balcony as much as we like to. Having paid for a gulf front room with balcony and if we had know we may not have spent the extra for gulf front 2. Wish the gulf beach was a little closer 3. Wish the fire pit and torch lights were lit during the week...they are beautiful at night

Sandro (10/5): Sensationelles Hotel mit wunderschönen, sauberen und grossen Zimmern an einer Top-Lage. - Wir waren im Juli für 6 Nächte hier und haben das Hotel geliebt. 😊 Angefangen beim sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Personal über die kostenlosen Parkplätze in der Parkgarage und die modernen und sauberen Zimmer war das Hotel ein wahrer Glücksgriff. Zudem hatten wir jeden Tag kostenlose Wasserflaschen im Zimmer und die Liegestühle und Badetücher am Pool waren ebenfalls im Preis inbegriffen. Der Service am Pool und im Restaurant war sehr herzlich und aufmerksam, kostenlose Cookies gab es jeden Nachmittag und vieles mehr. Speziell erwähnen muss ich die hervorragenden Zimmer bezüglich Bauweise, Sauberkeit, Ausstattung und den bequemen Betten. Wir haben auf unseren zahlreichen USA-Reisen schon vieles erlebt, aber an ein besseres Zimmer und Hotel konnten wir uns nicht erinnern. Ansonsten ist auch die Lage absolut perfekt, wunderschön direkt am Sandstrand, von wo aus man spazieren oder joggen kann. Restaurants, Tankstellen und Supermärkte hat es in Gehdistanz und für Ausflüge ist man innerhalb von 20-50 Minuten in St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater Beach oder Sarasota. Auch der Fitnessraum ist prima ausgestattet und einen Laundry Raum mit je drei Waschmaschinen und Trocknern hat es ebenfalls. Ich kann nur schwärmen und hoffe, dass wird bald einmal wieder kommen werden. 😍 Das einzige winzig kleine Manko war, dass der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ziemlich schwach war. Vor allem um lange Haare zu Waschen brauchte es deshalb viel Geduld.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. Especially John! He was always smiling and had great recommendations. We live in Florida so getting around is not a problem however for a family flying in from out of town, this is a great place to stay with literally everything you need in walking distance. Restaurants, Publix, Walgreens etc.

Tim (10/5): Came to relax and unwind and did EXACTLY that. - Room was very nice. Loved sitting on the balcony and enjoying the nights. The Pool area had plenty of lounges and umbrellas, plus food/beverage service. Beach was nice, though a bit of a walk to(more than I'm used to). After, seeing, it's a Sea Turtle nesting area, I'm more than happy to walk further :) . When we arrived 4 hours early, gentleman in the parking lot, directed us where to go, met us and escorted us to the front desk. They said our room was READY and we could check in! He took us up, gave us some restaurant ideas, told us about fresh cookies from 4-6 in lobby. Totally enjoyed our stay and interaction with everyone we encountered or dealt with. Had a Great Time. Great Place. Missed cleaning room one day. We never left for pool/beach before 11 am, so could have been our bad.

Would be nice if they had a separate pool for diaper aged kids.

Enjoyed lying out by the pool and grabbing a drink and app at the surf bar. The bed and pillows were probably the best we’ve ever encountered. Hard to complain about it but the food service at the pool was a little slow.

Cathy (9/5): We loved everything about our stay and are looking forward to a return trip. We’ve love Opal Resorts - We loved the staff, overall cleanliness was exceptional. Our room had an an amazing gulf front view and balcony with rocking chairs and small table. Plenty of comfy seating in the living room and large TV. Kitchen was very handy, nicely equipped and seating for 4. The bedroom was very spacious and had 2 queen beds which were amazingly comfortable with great pillows. Our room had one of the prettiest bathrooms with a wonderful spa-like feel. It was also spacious, allowing 2 people to get ready at once. Poolside service was great, even down to the young man handing out towels and helping us with the gate when our hands were full. The beach was very nicely maintained. The restaurant food was good but not great. Except for our morning cappuccinos which honestly were some of the best we ever had.

All the staff members were wonderful and nice. The BRGR restaurant on site has SO much more than burgers. In fact we never got a burger there but had lots of other delicious things like their express breakfast, the sonoma chicken bowl (OMG yum), their shrimp with honey on it (comes with like 16 shrimp!), and their beet salad. I wish there were more good dining options within walking distance (many closed still from hurricane) but overall that is our only complaint! We would totally stay here again.

Kristina (6/5): It was just ok. - The hotel is nice, rooms are nice, but the area surrounding is not great. We considered the fact that they did have hurricanes, there’s just not much going on around this place. Gas stations and such. Restaurants / bars in the area closed on certain days. It lacks places to eat out nearby, no night life. Food and Beverage was a major downfall at the hotel. I am surprised there is not more reviews on it. Only one server at the tiki bar, we waited 40 minutes for drinks. Every experience was similar, so we stopped going. Same situation by the pool, only one server. Expect to wait and be approached with some frustration. Not only is it disappointing for guests, it’s a’missed opportunity. Restaurant was inconsistent. First experience was fine, second experience took over an hour and it was was only half full in there. Our friends had time to walk across the street, sit down, eat and return before our food came. We got no condiments, only meal and toast was hard. They play music by the pool but you can barely hear it. The glass railing next the the pool are cloudy. Just not what I would expect for this price point. The night ambiance in the pool area is nice, fire pit and gas laterns, some of the furniture showing age. The fire pit and laterns on the lower portion were never lit while we were there over 4 nights. It’s dark in this area at night. Not what we had imagined. All in all, I don’t think they’re quit in line with what they charge per night.

I couldn't resist trying their restaurant, and wow—it exceeded all my expectations! Both breakfast and dinner were divine, but the spinach and artichoke dip? Simply out of this world! I also adored lounging in the rocking chairs on the balcony, taking in the stunning views. The room was beautifully designed, and the beds were incredibly comfy—perfect for a good night's sleep. Overall, I can't wait to come back!
